The Truth & Justice Podcast is listener driven show, devoted to the pursuit of truth and justice. Host, Bob Ruff, investigates potential wrongful conviction and cold cases using a unique crowdsourcing approach. Bob invites listeners to participate in the investigations, as he breaks down a new case in each season in real time. Truth & Justice is currently on Season 6, where Bob is asking for the help of the Truth & Justice Army to get to the bottom of the murder of Jaime Melgar. Jaime was murdered in his home in Houston, Texas in 2012. His wife, Sandy, was convicted for the crime. Bob believes the real killer is still out there.

Jesse Crosson on Prison Reform
Bob interviews Jesse Crosson. At 18 years old Jesse pled guilty to robbery and unlawful wounding, which carried a max sentence of 16 years in prison. The Judge however decided to make an example of Jesse, and sentenced him to twice the max penalty, 32 years. Jesse turned his life around in prison. He worked hard to earn a Bachelors degree, and committed his time to helping educate other prisoners. He even started a podcast called "Pre-Zen: Lessons from Lockup" while incarcerated. This past August, he was granted clemency from Governor Ralph Northam. He's now dedicated his life to prison reform, using his experiences from the inside to guide his quest.

The book represents several years of investigative work done by Mara, as she takes an extremely deep dive into the West Memphis Three case. Her book was later turned into a movie starring Reese Witherspoon. Mara continues to work on the case even to this day. Most recently she has filed FOIA requests with the WMPD asking for the location of evidence. Last week, she received a production finally that tells us what evidence is still available for testing and where it’s located.
