Leah sat down with Professor Seamus Morris, Consultant Orthopaedic and Spinal Trauma surgeon at the National Spinal Injuries Unit as a follow up to our case. They go through all things cervical spinal collars, MRIs, ASIA scores and discuss the development of the trauma system for Ireland.
Prof Morris is a specialist in spinal trauma surgery and after finishing his orthopaedic specialty training in RCSI, travelled to London and New York for fellowships. He is course director on a number of widely accredited trauma training courses including the European Trauma Course and is Clinical Professor of Surgery in UCD.
