They Are Stealing Ice Cream in New York, Why Are People Stealing So Much? The Devil At Work.

Shoplifting in NYC is so bad supermarkets are locking up, installing anti-theft devices on $6 ice cream: ‘This is the age we live in now’Shoplifters are running so wild in the Big Apple that pints of high-end ice cream now have special locked lids to thwart cold-hearted crooks. The Fairway supermarket on the Upper West Side is guarding $6 cartons of Häagen-Dazs with bolted plastic tops — which can only be removed with a device at the register — as other shops padlocked freezers of the treats.A sign at Fairway gives shoppers the scoop on why there’s now a barrier on the popular summertime sweets.“To help maintain the lowest possible cost, a protective lock has been placed on some units of ice cream,” it reads.“This lock will be removed at checkout by a store associate. We apologize for any inconvenience.”Customers at the store, at Broadway and 74th Street, called the goodie-guarding gadget a sign of the times. The Fairway supermarket on the Upper West Side uses locked ice cream lids to stop shoplifters.Robert Miller“This is the age we live in now, unfortunately. This is the New York that we know,” said a producer, who was shopping in the freezer section Friday.“This has nothing to do with anything other than people coming in and ripping off places that are trying to make money.”A cashier told The Post the ice cream is delivered with the clear locked lids already in place, and that they can be popped off with a round plastic device.“It’s pretty easy to come off with what we use,” the worker said.Other Manhattan stores also had ice cream under lock and key, including the Duane Reade at Broadway and 71st Street, which fastened a chain across a freezer door with a padlock. The convenience store fastened a chain across a freezer door with a padlock to protect tubs of Breyers along with Oreo Cookie ice cream sandwiches and other frozen desserts.“People used to come with garbage bags and fill up the garbage bags with ice cream. Clear out our freezers,” an employee at the shop said. The Duane Reade on East 53rd Street and Third Avenue also began padlocking a freezer to keep thieves from snatching ice cream such as Haagen-Daz and Magnum bars, a worker there told The Post.“We had to put the locks on because people kept stealing our Red Bull and Ice cream out the fridge,” the employee said. The CVS on Second Avenue and 51st Street in Midtown also had built-in locks placed on freezer doors last month, which customers called inconvenient.“Having to wait for an available worker to get my ice cream is a turn off,” one shopper Martin, 53, told The Post. A Prayer About Being Tired When I Am Tired But have To keep Going.

When walking by faith in God, it is crucial never to give up or be overcome by tiredness. Faith is a powerful force that can sustain us during difficult times and provide us with the strength and motivation to persevere. While the journey may be arduous and we may encounter numerous challenges along the way, our faith reminds us that we are not alone and that God's grace is always present. Giving up or succumbing to weariness robs us of the opportunity to witness the miracles that can unfold when we trust in God's plan. In moments of doubt or exhaustion, it is important to seek inspiration and encouragement. One book that can serve as a valuable source of motivation is "Unshakable Trust: Find the Joy of Trusting God at All Times, in All Things" by Joyce Meyer. A Prayer About Healing When I Am Waiting For Gods Healing

Finding Comfort and Hope in the Face of Loss: Understanding God's PlanPlease support the podcast by purchasing the suggested reading:A Grace Disguised Revised and Expanded: How the Soul Grows through LossGrieving the loss of a loved one is an immensely challenging and painful experience. When we fervently pray for healing and restoration, only to see our loved one succumb to an illness like cancer, it can shake our faith to its core. In these moments of deep sorrow, it's important to seek solace and find answers. While we may not fully comprehend why God allows certain events to occur, the Bible offers guidance and wisdom to help us navigate through these difficult times.Coping with Loss:Seek God's Presence: The first step is to turn to God in prayer and seek His presence. Pour out your heart honestly, expressing your grief, anger, and confusion. God is not afraid of our raw emotions; He invites us to bring our pain to Him. In Psalm 34:18, we find assurance that "The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."Embrace the Grieving Process: Grieving is a natural response to loss, and it is crucial to give yourself permission to grieve. In Ecclesiastes 3:4, we learn that there is "a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance." Remember that grief is a journey, and healing takes time. Surround yourself with loved ones who can provide support and encouragement as you navigate through this process.Understanding God's Plan:God's Ways Are Higher: Isaiah 55:8-9 reminds us that God's ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. While we may not understand the reasons behind our loved one's passing, we can trust that God sees the bigger picture. His plans transcend our limited human perspective. We can take solace in knowing that our loved ones are in His loving presence, free from pain and suffering. The Gift of Eternal Life: As Christians, we believe in the promise of eternal life. In John 11:25-26, Jesus assures us, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die." While we may mourn the loss of our loved ones in this earthly life, we can find comfort in the hope of being reunited with them in the presence of God.Moving Forward:Nurture Your Relationship with God: Take this time to deepen your relationship with God. Seek His guidance, wisdom, and strength to face the challenges of grief. Through prayer, reading the Bible, and meditating on His Word, you can find comfort, assurance, and hope. Draw closer to God, and He will provide the strength you need to move forward.Remember God's Promises: Reflect on the promises of God found throughout Scripture. Promises such as His unfailing love (Psalm 147:3), His comfort in times of sorrow (Matthew 5:4), and His ability to bring beauty from ashes (Isaiah 61:3) can bring hope and healing to your grieving heart.Losing a loved one to cancer, despite fervent prayers for healing, is a deeply painful and confusing experience. While we may never fully understand why God allows certain events to unfold as they do, we can find solace, comfort, and hope in His presence. By seeking God, embracing the grieving process, and trusting in His higher plans, we can begin to heal and find peace amidst the pain. Remember that God's love is unending, and He walks with us through the darkest valleys. Please support the podcast by purchasing the suggested reading:A Grace Disguised Revised and Expanded: How the Soul Grows through Loss

Trust in God's Promises: Ignoring Naysayers and Pursuing Your Goals.Support the channel by purchasing the recommended reading:Unshakeable Trust: Find the Joy of Trusting God at All Times, in All Things" by Joyce Meyer. In the pursuit of our dreams and aspirations, it is common to encounter individuals who doubt our abilities and try to discourage us. These naysayers often question our potential and may even assert that our goals are unattainable. However, it is essential to remember that our true source of guidance and encouragement lies in our faith and the promises of God. Instead of being swayed by the opinions of others, we should focus on God's unwavering word, which offers us hope, strength, and the assurance that we can overcome any obstacle. In this article, we will explore why it is crucial to disregard negative voices and trust in God's promises when pursuing our goals.Human Limitations vs. Divine PossibilitiesHumans are fallible beings, limited by their own experiences, perspectives, and biases. When others doubt our abilities or belittle our dreams, it is crucial to remember that their opinions are subjective and shaped by their own limitations. On the other hand, God's promises are rooted in His infinite wisdom, power, and love. His word transcends human boundaries and offers us the potential to achieve beyond what we can comprehend. By focusing on God's promises, we tap into a higher truth that supersedes the doubts and limitations of others. The Power of FaithFaith is the cornerstone of our relationship with God. It is the unwavering belief in His promises and the confidence that He will fulfill them in due time. When others attempt to discourage us, their words often undermine our faith and fill our hearts with doubt. However, by immersing ourselves in God's word and embracing His promises, we fortify our faith and find the strength to persevere. As Hebrews 11:1 states, "Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen." By focusing on God's promises, we maintain our faith and keep our eyes fixed on the ultimate source of our success.Overcoming ObstaclesThe journey towards our goals is rarely without obstacles. Challenges, setbacks, and failures are to be expected along the way. When we listen to others' negative voices, we may be tempted to give up when faced with adversity. However, God's promises remind us that He is with us every step of the way. He assures us of His strength, guidance, and ability to make a way even in the most challenging circumstances. By grounding ourselves in God's word, we develop resilience, perseverance, and the courage to push through obstacles, trusting that He will lead us to victory.Aligning with God's WillListening to others who doubt our goals can lead us astray from God's intended path for our lives. Their opinions may be rooted in their own fears, insecurities, or lack of understanding. Conversely, God's promises are aligned with His perfect will for us. By focusing on His word, we align ourselves with His divine purpose and open ourselves up to the blessings He has in store. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." When we prioritize God's promises over the doubts of others, we position ourselves to fulfill His purpose and experience His abundant blessings. When confronted with skepticism from others regarding our goals and dreams, it is essential to tune out the negative voices and focus on God's promises and His unwavering word. By doing so, we embrace the limitless possibilities that lie within His divine plan for our lives. As we walk in faith, overcome obstacles, and align ourselves with His will, we can be confident that He will empower us to achieve what others may deem impossible. Remember, God's promises far outweigh the doubts of others, and it is through Him that we find the strength, guidance, and ultimate fulfillment of our goals.Support the channel by purchasing the recommended reading:Unshakeable Trust: Find the Joy of Trusting God at All Times, in All Things" by Joyce Meyer.Amazon Affiliate link listed above, commision may be rendered.

The adversary, commonly known as the devil, relentlessly seeks to derail us from the path of righteousness. However, armed with patience and faith, we can overcome his deceptive tactics and align ourselves with the divine plan. In this article, we will explore why patience and faith are crucial in our battle against the devil's lies, and how they enable us to stay steadfast in pursuing God's will. The Deceptive Nature of the Devil:The devil, often described as the father of lies, is a master manipulator who seeks to undermine our faith and lead us astray. His primary objective is to convince us that we are incapable of achieving our goals and that God's plan for our lives is unattainable. By distorting our perception, he aims to rob us of our peace, hope, and trust in God. Recognizing the devil's tactics is essential to combat his influence and maintain our spiritual resilience. The Role of Patience:Patience acts as a shield in the spiritual battle, fortifying our resolve and protecting us from the devil's attempts to discourage us. It allows us to trust in God's timing and remain steadfast, even when our circumstances seem unfavorable. Patience enables us to endure trials and setbacks, knowing that God is working all things together for our good. As we exercise patience, we grow in character, perseverance, and reliance on God's promises. The Power of Faith:Faith is the bedrock of our spiritual journey, providing the strength and confidence to confront the devil's lies head-on. It is through faith that we believe in God's goodness, His divine plan, and His ability to bring victory out of our challenges. Faith enables us to see beyond the temporary obstacles and focus on the eternal promises that God has in store for us. It fuels our determination to press forward, regardless of the lies whispered by the enemy.Overcoming the Devil's Lies:When we combine patience and faith, we possess a potent weapon against the devil's lies. Patience empowers us to wait on God's timing without growing weary, while faith assures us that God's promises are true and will be fulfilled. By meditating on God's Word and actively engaging in prayer, we strengthen our faith and open ourselves to His guidance and wisdom. The devil's deceitful schemes are exposed in the light of God's truth, and we become equipped to counter his attacks with the power of God's Word.Embracing God's Plan:Patience and faith are not merely defensive strategies; they also enable us to embrace and align ourselves with God's plan for our lives. As we patiently await His timing and walk in faith, we develop a deeper intimacy with Him and gain a clearer understanding of His purpose. We become more attuned to His voice, discerning the lies of the enemy and confidently stepping into the destiny that God has ordained for us. Our goals and aspirations are no longer distant dreams but tangible possibilities under God's guidance. Conclusion:In the spiritual battle against the devil's lies, patience and faith serve as indispensable tools for believers. They strengthen our resolve, shield us from discouragement, and empower us to walk confidently in God's plan. As we cultivate these qualities in our lives, we become resilient warriors, standing firm in the face of adversity and embracing the abundant life that God has prepared for us. Even when it feels like the world around you is empty and void of companionship, remember that you are never truly alone. God, in His infinite love and faithfulness, promises to be with you every step of the way. Take heart, for His presence brings comfort, guidance, and strength. Reach out to Him in prayer, pour out your heart, and allow His peace to surround you. You are cherished, and your Heavenly Father is by your side, holding you close."

God Answers Prayer In His time Not yours (Walk By Faith)

Waiting with Faith: Trusting in God's Timing for Answered PrayersPrayer is a powerful tool for believers to communicate with God and seek His guidance, intervention, and blessings. However, one of the greatest challenges we often face is waiting for God's response to our prayers. It is during this waiting period that our faith is tested, and we must learn to trust in God's perfect timing and sovereignty. In this article, we will explore how to wait for God to answer your prayer by faith, drawing strength and patience from His promises and our relationship with Him.Seek Alignment with God's WillWhen we pray, it's essential to align our desires with God's will. Understand that God knows what is best for us, even if it may differ from what we think we need or want. Submitting our prayers to His will opens our hearts to accept His answer, whether it is a yes, no, or wait. Aligning our desires with His purposes ensures that we are seeking His glory above all else.Cultivate a Personal Relationship with GodDeveloping an intimate relationship with God is crucial when waiting for His response. Spend time in prayer, study His Word, and engage in worship. As we draw nearer to God, we gain a deeper understanding of His character, which strengthens our faith. A close relationship with God allows us to trust Him more fully and believe that He will answer our prayers in His perfect way and timing.Practice Patience and PerseveranceWaiting can be challenging, but it's essential to remember that God's timing is always perfect. Patience and perseverance go hand in hand with waiting by faith. Understand that God may be working behind the scenes, orchestrating events and preparing the right circumstances for your prayer to be answered. Rather than becoming discouraged, choose to remain steadfast in faith, knowing that God is faithful to His promises.Lean on God's PromisesGod's Word is filled with promises that assure us of His faithfulness and His commitment to answer our prayers. Find solace in these promises, such as Jeremiah 29:11: "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." Cling to verses like Matthew 7:7: "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you." Meditating on these promises can provide comfort and strength during the waiting period.Maintain an Attitude of GratitudeWhile waiting for God's response, it's crucial to maintain an attitude of gratitude. Take time to reflect on the blessings in your life and give thanks to God for His goodness. Gratitude shifts our focus from what we lack to what we have already received. It helps us appreciate the present moment and strengthens our faith, reminding us that God is continually at work in our lives.Trust in God's SovereigntyAbove all, waiting by faith involves placing our trust in God's sovereignty. Remember that God sees the bigger picture and knows what is best for us. Even if His answer doesn't align with our desires or expectations, trust that He has a greater purpose in mind. Embrace the truth that His ways are higher than our ways and that He is working all things together for our good (Romans 8:28).Waiting for God to answer our prayers requires patience, trust, and a deep-rooted faith. By seeking alignment with God's will, nurturing a personal relationship with Him, practicing patience, leaning on His promises, maintaining gratitude, and trusting in His sovereignty, we can wait with faith and find peace in His timing. As we grow in our trust, we come to realize that the waiting period is not wasted but rather an opportunity for our faith to be refined and for us to draw closer to our Heavenly Father. Please support the channel by purchasing one of the recommended readings:The Return of Prayers: Sowing Seeds of Prayer and Waiting on God for a Harvest of AnswersReligious Bookmarks About Waiting on God to Answer Prayer (12 Pack) - Encouraging Bible Verses for Men Women Disruptive Thinking: A Daring Strategy to Change How We Live, Lead, and Love

In Matthew 6:31-33, Jesus says, "Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'... But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." If Your Worried, Let Not Your heart Be Troubled.

Please support the podcast by purchasing our recommended reading:Where Is God in All the Suffering? (Questioning Faith)Embracing Divine Assurance: Why God Says You Should Not Be Troubled!Introduction:In a world filled with uncertainties and challenges, it is easy for us to be overwhelmed and troubled. However, many spiritual traditions, including Christianity, offer guidance and solace for those seeking comfort. The Bible, as a timeless source of wisdom, provides numerous verses that remind us why we should not be troubled. In this article, we will explore the reasons behind God's message of assurance and the biblical verses that reinforce this profound truth.God's Unchanging Nature:One of the fundamental reasons why God encourages us not to be troubled is rooted in His unchanging nature. In the book of Malachi, it is written: "For I am the Lord, I do not change" (Malachi 3:6). This verse assures us that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Amidst the turbulence of life, we can find solace in the unwavering nature of our Creator. God's constancy gives us confidence that He will remain with us, providing strength and guidance through every trial.Divine Providence:The Bible consistently emphasizes God's providence and care for His creation. In Matthew 6:26, Jesus reminds us, "Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?" This verse teaches us that if God takes care of the birds of the air, how much more will He provide for His beloved children? Recognizing God's loving provision can alleviate our anxieties, knowing that our needs are in the hands of a caring and attentive Father.Trusting in God's Plan:The Bible encourages us to trust in God's plan for our lives, even in times of uncertainty. In Jeremiah 29:11, God reassures His people, saying, "For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." This verse reminds us that God's plans are filled with hope and a purpose that extends far beyond our present circumstances. When we surrender to His divine will, we can find peace, knowing that God's plans for us are ultimately for our benefit. The Gift of Peace:God offers us the gift of peace, a peace that surpasses all understanding. In John 14:27, Jesus says, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." These powerful words of Jesus assure us that true peace is found in Him, transcending the troubles of the world. By placing our trust in God, we can experience an inner calmness, regardless of external circumstances.Eternal Perspective:Lastly, God calls us to maintain an eternal perspective. In 2 Corinthians 4:17, the apostle Paul writes, "For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all." This verse reminds us that our present troubles, no matter how distressing, are temporary in the grand scheme of eternity. Keeping our focus on the eternal rewards awaiting us can help us overcome anxiety and find strength in the face of adversity. Conclusion:God's message of not being troubled resonates throughout the Bible, assuring us of His unchanging nature, divine providence, and ultimate plans for our lives. By embracing these truths, we can find solace in the midst of life's uncertainties. Let us trust in God's unwavering love, embrace His peace, and maintain an eternal perspective. If You are Feeling Discouraged Listen To This.

12 Things To Do When You’re Feeling Discouraged.Everyone deals with discouragement at some point in their life. It’s part of what makes the human experience rich—the highs and the lows. If we didn’t experience the lows, then we wouldn’t appreciate the highs.Discouragement, disappointment, failure, and setbacks—these are all things that can help us if we maintain an empowering mindset. The key to life is to learn from these experiences, and minimize the amount of time that we allow ourselves to stay discouraged. So the next time you start to feel discouragement, here is what you should do:Take the long view.Discouragement generally occurs when our expectations (what we think should happen) don’t align with reality (what actually happens). In many cases our expectations are unrealistic, and this often has to do with how long we think things should happen. If we take a longer view, and relax our expectations a little, it can really help to decrease discouragement. The reality is that most things that are worthwhile take a lot of effort and time to come to fruition. So be patient!2. Remember, there is no such thing as failure. There is only education. When we feel like we have failed at something, discouragement often follows. However, failure doesn’t really exist, except for the meaning that we give it. If we don’t get the result that we want, when we want it, we just need to take new action. We can choose, instead of thinking of failure as bad, to think of failure as education, and therefore good. When we view it this way we realize that failure isn’t something that is bad, or something to be avoided. It is simply feedback. It is simply education. When we think this way we ease discouragement.3. Stay true to our vision. See it again in our mind.If we are feeling discouraged, think about our vision. Think about what we want to create in our life. See it clearly. Feel what it would feel like if the image came into reality. What would this mean for us? How would we feel. Once we see it, and feel it, we will also feel empowered and our discouragement will dissipate.4. Don’t let our ego get in the way of our development. Our ego is often the primary cause of our feelings of disappointment and discouragement. It doesn’t have to be this way. We can control our ego. When we do this, we are on the path of development. When we are internally strong enough to handle constructive criticism, and feedback, we receive the rewards of growth. Growth leads to happiness. When we are growing we feel good, and we aren’t discouraged.5. Stop comparing ourself to others. We’re on a unique path.A sure fire, 100% guaranteed way to get discouraged is to focus on other people in a comparative way. Here is why: we generally see their victories, successes, and strengths. We see what they have and what we don’t. We see why they are better than us. When we do this we get discouraged and we feel sorry for ourselves. We don’t as easily see their struggles, their fears, their setbacks, and their failures. So don’t do it. It isn’t empowering. Don’t compare. We are on a unique path. It is great to be inspired by another, but if by hearing another’s story, we feel that we are lesser, then we need to just focus on our own path.6. Detach from rewards, focus on our actions and giving our best work.If our sole motivation for doing something is the reward that we might get from the action, then we are setting ourselves up for discouragement. Action should be its own reward. When it is, we are forever free. Freedom is at the heart of happiness. When we don’t need someone else’s praise for doing something, when we don’t need a “carrot” for performing our work, then we are truly free to just focus on our work and make it great. When we create great work we are happy. To help you focus on your actions easily, here’s a Worksheet for Instant Motivation Boost that can guide you to stay motivated and move foward. Grab your free worksheet and regain lost motivation quickly!7. Change our “rules” for being happy. What rule do we have to be happy? What has to happen for us to feel successful? Is it in our control? If it isn’t then we might be setting ourselves up for failure. By rules I mean the set of circumstances that must be present for us to feel accomplished. For example if I have a rule that says something has to happen to feel successful, what if I don’t ever reach it? Or even worse, does it mean that I never get to feel successful until I reach it? That is a sad way to live. We have to create rules that serve us. We have to live by rules that are within our control. Here are some of my rules: I am successful when I grow and improve. I am successful when I give my very best.8. Consider who we are spending time with. The people who we spend the most time with might be a major contributing factor to feeling discouragement. This can be a very hard one, especially if those people are family and loved ones. We have a tendency to become who we most frequently associate with, and if we spend all our time with people who are constantly negative, and feeling sorry for themselves, we can be influenced to see life through a similar lens. So what can we do? We can’t simply cut loved ones out of our lives. So what we should do is simply expand our social network. Join a peer group that is positive. Start to surround ourselves with positive people as a balance. Over time we will start to take on their mindset and this will help with any feelings of discouragement we may have.9. Get outside, move and breathe.Fresh air and sunshine can have an amazing effect on our feelings. Sometimes when we are feeling down, all that we need to do is simply to go outside and breathe. Movement and exercise is also a fantastic way to feel better. Positive emotions can be generated by motion. So if we start to feel down, take some deep breathes, go outside, feel the fresh air, let the sun hit our face, go for a hike, a walk, a bike ride, a swim, a run, whatever. We will feel better if we do this.10. Talk to our mentor. Our mentor can be a great source of wisdom when we are feeling down. So when discouragement rears its ugly head, go have a coffee with our mentor. They will be able to give us wisdom based on experience. In many cases they will also give us tough love and help us to snap out of it if we are feeling sorry for ourselves. They will also help us to make a specific plan of action to work our way out of discouragement.11. Do a mind map.A mind map is a simple and empowering exercise that can help trigger our creativity and also pull us out of discouragement. Take a blank piece of paper or a whiteboard. In the middle write out what it is that we want (our goal). Then map our ideas that will get us there. Use arrows originating from our goal and pointing to the various actions that we could take. Break those actions down into sub actions. Spend a good hour of so on this activity. Once we are done we will have a great plan of action. Then get to work. Work will break the chains of discouragement better than anything.12. Go find someone who we can help. This is a great way to alleviate discouragement. Go find someone who needs help, and then help them. It is really that simple. When we serve others, when we go out of our way to help other people in need, we feel better. It is impossible to be discouraged when we are giving all our efforts on behalf of another. Discouragement is a really a self-driven symptom. We are focusing on ourselves. That is why we feel bad. Something isn’t right in “our” life. However, when we stop thinking about ourselves, and when we direct our attention to another, we feel better. The Purpose of The Resurrection 2023.

The Purpose of The Resurrection 2023.What are the implications of Christ’s resurrection on our lives today? First, Christ’s resurrection assures us of our justification by God. Romans 4:25 says that Jesus “was delivered over because of our transgressions, and was raised because of our justification.” “Justification” is a legal term referring to our standing before God. When we become Christians, God sees us as not guilty. Somebody has said that justification means that God looks at us “just as if we never sinned.” When Jesus died, He paid the penalty for our sin. He suffered what we deserved to suffer. When we trust in Him, God pardons us. When He looks at us, He sees us through the blood of His Son.What does that have to do with the resurrection? If Jesus had not been God, then His death would have been for His sins, not for ours. In fact, 1 Corinthians 15:17 says this: “If Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins.” The fact that Jesus rose from the dead is the proof that He is God’s Son and His sacrifice was acceptable to God. Romans 1:4 says Christ “was declared the Son of God with power by the resurrection from the dead.”Second, Christ’s resurrection means not only have we been justified, but someday we will be glorified–that is, we will live forever and receive that same resurrection body that Christ received. Paul said in 1 Corinthians 15:20-23, “Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep. . . . For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, after that those who are Christ’s at His coming.”Whenever the Israelites were ready to harvest their crops, they would, first of all, harvest a sample of the crop and take it to the priest. That sample was called the first fruits offering. The first fruits was not the entire harvest; it was representative of a greater harvest that was yet to come. That is what Paul was saying about Jesus. Yes, Jesus’ resurrection was a wonderful event, but His resurrection was just the sample, the first fruits, of an even greater resurrection that is to come. And the Bible says if you are in Christ, you will be a part of that greater resurrection. You are going to conquer death in the very same way that Jesus did.Is the resurrection foolish? Is it fake news? Or is it a fact? If in fact the resurrection occurred, then it has tremendous implications for your life. If the resurrection occurred, it means that Jesus really is the Son of God. It means that everything He said about the way to Heaven is true. If Jesus Christ was raised from the dead, it means He was telling the truth when He promised in John 11:25, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies.” And it means Jesus was telling the truth when He said in John 14:6, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” That is the hope, confidence, and assurance of everyone who is in Christ Jesus. Please support the podcast by purchasing the suggested readings:CONTROLLED BY THE CALENDAR: The Pagan Origins of Our Major HolidaysChristian Mythology: Revelations of Pagan Origins Reveals how Christian mythology has more to do with long-standing pagan traditions than the Bible• Explains how the church fathers knowingly incorporated pagan elements into the Christian faith to ease the transition to the new religion• Identifies pagan deities that were incorporated into each of the saints• Shows how all the major holidays in the Christian calendar are modeled on pagan rituals and myths, including Easter and ChristmasIn this extensive study of the Christian mythology that animated Europe in the Middle Ages, author Philippe Walter reveals how these stories and the holiday traditions connected with them are based on long-standing pagan rituals and myths and have very little connection to the Bible. The author explains how the church fathers knowingly incorporated pagan elements into the Christian faith to ease the transition to the new religion. Rather than tear down the pagan temples in Britain, Pope Gregory the Great advised Saint Augustine of Canterbury to add the pagan rituals into the mix of Christian practices and transform the pagan temples into churches. Instead of religious conversion, it was simply a matter of convincing the populace to include Jesus in their current religious practices.Providing extensive documentation, Walter shows which major calendar days of the Christian year are founded on pagan rituals and myths, including the high holidays of Easter and Christmas. Examining hagiographic accounts of the saints, he reveals the origin of these symbolic figures in the deities worshipped in pagan Europe for centuries. He also explores how the identities of saints and pagan figures became so intermingled that some saints were transformed into pagan incarnations, such as Mary Magdalene’s conversion into one of the Celtic Ladies of the Lake.In revealing the pagan roots of many Christian figures, stories, and rituals, Walter provides a new understanding of the evolution of religious belief

Report details ‘staggering’ church sex abuse in Maryland.More than 150 Catholic priests and others associated with the Archdiocese of Baltimore sexually abused over 600 children and often escaped accountability, according to a long-awaited state report released Wednesday that revealed the scope of abuse spanning 80 years and accused church leaders of decades of coverups. The report paints a damning picture of the archdiocese, which is the oldest Roman Catholic diocese in the country and spans much of Maryland. Some parishes, schools and congregations had more than one abuser at the same time — including St. Mark Parish in Catonsville, which had 11 abusers living and working there between 1964 and 2004. One deacon admitted to molesting over 100 children. Another priest was allowed to feign hepatitis treatment and make other excuses to avoid facing abuse allegations. The Maryland Attorney General’s Office released the findings of their yearslong investigation during Holy Week — considered the most sacred time of year in Christianity ahead of Easter Sunday — and said the number of victims is likely far higher. The report was redacted to protect confidential grand jury materials, meaning the identities of some accused clergy were removed.CLICK ON THE LINK FOR THE COMPLETE STORY:Please support the podcast by purchasing the recommended readings:The Wounded Heart: Hope for Adult Victims of Childhood Sexual AbuseLeaving Darkness Behind: Recovery From Childhood Sexual Abuse (APA LifeTools Series)Overcoming Church Hurt & Abuse: Freedom From Past Hurts. The Truth About Easter in 2023

Easter is a day that is honored by today’s Christians and is used to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The holiday often involves a church service at sunrise, a feast , decorated eggs and stories about rabbits. The modern spelling of Easter can only be found once in the Bible.Acts 12: 1: “Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church.”2: “And he killed James the brother of John with the sword.”3: “And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.)”4: “And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.”Easter has been celebrated by pagan idol worshippers and can be found in the Old Testament but only under it’s original Canaanite spelling “Ashtaroth”. Some times spelled Ashtoreth or Astarte . Later spelled “Ishtar” pronounced “Easter”.1 Samuel 7: 3: “And Samuel spake unto all the house of Israel, saying, If ye do return unto the LORD with all your hearts, then put away the strange gods and Ashtaroth from among you, and prepare your hearts unto the LORD, and serve him only: and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.”1 Samuel 12: 10: “And they cried unto the LORD, and said, We have sinned, because we have forsaken the LORD, and have served Baalim and Ashtaroth: but now deliver us out of the hand of our enemies, and we will serve thee.”Ashtoroth (Easter) is both the goddess of fertility and the moon goddess. This idol is often portrayed as a standing female with open arms and numerous breasts (eggs) as symbols of fertility, and a turret crown. She became known as Diana of the Ephesians in which Paul and the Disciples of Christ instructed the Israelites of Ephesus not to worship, read Acts 19.The goddess of fertility with the numerous breasts later became depicted as a fertile rabbit with numerous eggs symbolizing life and resurrection. Every year, on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox, a celebration was made. It was Ashtoroth Sunday (Easter Sunday) and was celebrated with rabbits and eggs.Ashtoroth Sunday was the day of life and resurrection and thus is changed into Easter Sunday the day Christ resurrected from the dead and incorporated into Christianity. Today families and churches throughout the world have been deceived into believing they honor the resurrection of Christ and color and play Easter Egg games complete with rabbits. We are warned in 2 Corinthians 6:17 “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.”

A Prayer About Regrets, When I need To get Over My Regrets.

A Prayer About Regrets, When I need To get Over My Regrets.Regret is a common feeling that has both negative and positive effects. Knowing how to move past and learn from them is key to your overall well-being.Regret is a feeling based on the idea that you could have acted differently to produce a more desirable outcome.Regret can be accompanied by guilt, embarrassment, and self-blame. It can include asking yourself a lot of hypothetical questions: “What if I acted differently? What if I took that opportunity? What if I didn’t say what I said?”Because you can’t go back in time, you’ll never know the answer to those questions. For that reason, you might ruminate about it — thinking the same thoughts over and over again, wondering what could’ve happened. You might regret something even when, realistically, there’s nothing you could’ve done, and even if ultimately you believe you made the right choice. The feeling of regret itself isn’t proof that you did the wrong thing — you might simply have complicated feelings about your experience. Why are regrets harmful? Regret is associated with higher levels of cortisol. Known as the stress hormone, cortisol helps you when you enter flight-or-fight mode. Chronically high levels of cortisol are associated with mental and physical health problems.According to a 2015 studyTrusted Source, people who are prone to regret are more likely to experience:depressionhopelessnesssuicidal ideationMany people ruminate about regrets. Rumination is when you can’t stop thinking about the past, even when you’re having the same thoughts over and over again. A Prayer When In Doubt, When I question What I Believe.

A Prayer When In Doubt, When I question What I Believe. We need not allow doubt to overcome faith. So what can we do to support our faith in seasons of doubt? Jesus himself said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick” (Mark 2:17). When the doubts tell us to distance ourselves from Jesus, one way we fight it is by drawing closer to him.We continue to hang out with him through his Word and in prayer, even when the doubts are not gone. The disciples modeled another way we can keep doubt from overcoming our faith: they worshipped. Revisit Matthew 28:17: “When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted.”So keep going to church and joining the body of believers when you experience doubt. It’s not ingenuine or heretical. Your faith will benefit from the faith of your community. We bolster each other's faith in the songs we sing and by professing together the creeds, the Church’s statements of faith that declare what we believe. It’s by the power of the Holy Spirit that our faith can withstand the obstacles doubt places in our paths and once we’re on the other side, we’ll probably find our faith has grown even stronger. Please support the podcast by purchasing the suggested readings. A Prayer In Times Of Waiting, When God Says Wait.

A Prayer In Times Of Waiting, When God Says Wait.6 Ways to Wait for God’s Answer to Your Prayers:1. Don’t stop praying.David, the great shepherd-king of Israel, earned a Ph.D. in waiting on God. He wrote and sang of it often:I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me and heard my cry (Psalm 40:1, NASB).Wait for the Lord; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the Lord (Psalm 27:14, NASB).Indeed, none of those who wait for You will be ashamed (Psalm 25:3, NASB).Who better, then, to show us how to wait on God than David and his Psalm 130? Psalm 130 is a prayer from beginning to end. David pours out his heart to God:Out of the depths I have cried to You, O Lord.Lord, hear my voice!Let Your ears be attentiveTo the voice of my supplications (Psalm 130:1-2, NASB).Waiting on God is not a cessation of prayer, a pause but intensification. If we are waiting on God we are, if anything, more active in prayer than we were before. 2. Examine yourself. As he waits, David’s thoughts turn inward, reflecting on the status of his heart and life and reminding himself of God’s fondness for forgiveness:If You, Lord, should mark iniquities,O Lord, who could stand? But there is forgiveness with You,That You may be feared (Psalm 130:3-4, NASB).While we wait on God, we also search our own hearts to confess any sin that may hinder an answer or make any surrender that will further align us with God’s plans and purpose. 3. Focus and refocus your heart, soul and mind.David doesn’t spend his time twiddling his thumbs or pacing the floor; he focuses his thoughts and aligns himself with God’s word:I wait for the Lord, my soul does wait,And in His word do I hope (Psalm 130:5, NASB).Waiting on God often involves reading and repeating God’s word and focusing our thoughts on “what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable….[and thinking] about things that are excellent and worthy of praise” (Philippians 4:8, NLT).4. Keep your eyes and heart open and alert.Waiting on God requires a heightened attentiveness and watchfulness in which you scan your surroundings, circumstances, conversations and “coincidences” for clues and indications of God’s answer on the horizon:My soul waits for the LordMore than the watchmen for the morning;Indeed, more than the watchmen for the morning (Psalm 130:6, NASB).A watchman on the walls of a city was constantly searching the horizon and scanning the landscape for movement. The soul who waits on God will be similarly alert for hints and harbingers of God at work.5. Keep trusting, reminding and hoping.Even as he waits, David reminds himself and those around him of who God is, what God has done and why they should continue to hope in Him:O Israel, hope in the Lord; For with the Lord there is lovingkindness,And with Him is abundant redemption (Psalm 130:7, NASB).6. Keep going.Too often when we are waiting on God—or think we are—we tense and freeze and stop progressing. But God is just as able to close doors and pathways as He is to open them. So rather than choosing inaction, we who wait on God can keep moving ahead, trusting as David did that God will guide our steps as we go:And He will redeem IsraelFrom all his iniquities (Psalm 130:8, NASB). A Prayer About Addiction: When I Struggle With Addiction or Bad Habits.

A Prayer About Addiction: When I Struggle With Addiction or Bad Habits. Why Overcoming Addiction Is So DifficultAccording to the American Society of Addiction Medicine, addiction is a "treatable, chronic medical disease involving complex interactions among brain circuits, genetics, the environment, and an individual’s life experiences."1 People continue to engage in harmful behaviors despite negative consequences because addiction changes the brain's reward system, which increases the desire for the substances or experiences. These changes in the brain also affect impulse control and judgment, which makes quitting that much more challenging.2 Though addiction recovery is challenging, addiction is treatable. A Prayer About Apology: When It's Hard To Say I Am Sorry.

A Prayer About Apology: When It's Hard To Say I Am Sorry. The art of a heartfelt apology. If you’ve been stuck mostly at home with one or more family members over the past year, chances are you’ve gotten on one another’s nerves occasionally. When you’re under a lot of stress, it’s not uncommon say something unkind, or even to lash out in anger to someone you care about. And we all make thoughtless mistakes from time to time, like forgetting a promise or breaking something. Not sure if you should apologize?Even if you don’t think what you said or did was so bad, or believe that the other person is actually in the wrong, it’s still important to apologize when you’ve hurt or angered someone. “To preserve or re-establish connections with other people, you have to let go of concerns about right and wrong and try instead to understand the other person’s experience,” says Dr. Ronald Siegel, assistant professor of psychology at Harvard Medical School. That ability is one of the cornerstones of emotional intelligence, which underlies healthy, productive relationships of all types. How to apologize genuinelyFor an apology to be effective, it has to be genuine. A successful apology validates that the other person felt offended, and acknowledges responsibility (you accept that your actions caused the other person pain). You want to convey that you truly feel sorry and care about the person who was hurt, and promise to make amends, including by taking steps to avoid similar mishaps going forward as in the examples below.According to the late psychiatrist Dr. Aaron Lazare, an apology expert and former chancellor and dean of the University of Massachusetts Medical School, a good apology has four elements:Acknowledge the offense. Take responsibility for the offense, whether it was a physical or psychological harm, and confirm that your behavior was not acceptable. Avoid using vague or evasive language, or wording an apology in a way that minimizes the offense or questions whether the victim was really hurt.Explain what happened. The challenge here is to explain how the offense occurred without excusing it. In fact, sometimes the best strategy is to say there is no excuse.Express remorse. If you regret the error or feel ashamed or humiliated, say so: this is all part of expressing sincere remorse.Offer to make amends. For example, if you have damaged someone’s property, have it repaired or replace it. When the offense has hurt someone’s feelings, acknowledge the pain and promise to try to be more sensitive in the future.Making a heartfelt apologyThe words you choose for your apology count. Here are some examples of good and bad apologies.EFFECTIVE WORDING“I’m sorry I lost my temper last night. I’ve been under a lot of pressure at work, but that’s no excuse for my behavior. I love you and will try harder not to take my frustrations out on you.WHY IT WORKS:”Takes responsibility, explains but does not excuse why the mistake happened, expresses remorse and caring, and promises reparation.EFFECTIVE WORDING“I forgot. I apologize for this mistake. It shouldn’t have happened. What can I do to avoid this problem in the future?WHY IT WORKS”Takes responsibility, describes the mistake, makes the person feel cared for, and begins a conversation about how to remedy the error.INEFFECTIVE WORDING“I apologize for whatever happened.WHY IT WONT WORK”Language is vague; offense isn’t specified.INEFFECTIVE WORDING“Mistakes were made.WHY IT WONT WORK”Use of passive voice avoids taking responsibility.INEFFECTIVE WORDING“Okay, I apologize. I didn’t know this was such a sensitive issue for you.WHY IT WONT WORK”Sounds grudging, thrusts the blame back on to the offended person (for “sensitivity”).(SOURCE: HARVARD UNIVERSITY)Please support the channel by purchasing the recommended readings below:HOW TO APOLOGIZE: Saying sorry is a powerful gesture, but it only works if you do it the right way. | This book teaches us the power of apologizing and how to make proper apology. Why Won't You Apologize?: Healing Big Betrayals and Everyday HurtsForgiving What You Can't Forget: Discover How to Move On, Make Peace with Painful Memories, and Create a Life That’s Beautiful AgainAmazon Affiliate links Listed above receive Commissions.

A Prayer About Quiet Times: When God Doesn't Seem To be showing Up When you need him.(Don't Worry-He's Coming)

A Prayer About Quiet Times: When God Doesn't Seem To be showing Up When you need him.(Don't Worry-He's Coming)What does faith mean according to the Bible? The closest that the Bible comes to offering an exact definition is Hebrews 11:1 – “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” From this particular passage we see that the central feature of faith is confidence or trust. In the Bible, the object of faith is God and his promises. A clear example of this is Abram’s encounter with God in Genesis 15. In response to God’s promise of countless descendants, Abram “believed the LORD, and he counted it to him as righteousness.” (Gen 15:6). Commenting on this, the Apostle Paul writes, “No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised.” (Rom 4:20-21). Thus faith means putting your trust in God and having confidence that he will fulfill his promises.Support The Channel:Trusting God When You're Struggling: Overcoming Obstacles to FaithFor The Best in Mens and Womens Clothing (Church, Weddings, Formal Events)

A Prayer For Faith: When I want To Strengthen My Faith.

What is Faith? The expression “just have faith, it will work out” is used by people to encourage and comfort someone facing serious problems or stressful situations. But just what is faith as described in the Bible, and does it really work? In the New Testament the English word faith is used to translate the Greek word pistis. The New Strong’s Expanded Dictionary of Bible Words says, “Pistis is used of belief with the predominate idea of trust (or confidence) whether in God or in Christ, springing from faith in the same. ‘Faith’ means trust, confidence, assurance, and belief” (p. 1315).The Bible also defines pistis in Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”Faith is the substance or assurance of things we hope for, but have not yet received. Faith (confidence, belief, trust) is also our evidence of that which is not seen—the invisible spiritual things. Faith comes before a prayer is answered or before an individual has received what he or she has requested from God. If we have received what we asked for, then faith is not needed. What is faith? A New Testament example. An example of this definition is found in Matthew 9:27-30 where two blind men came to Jesus and asked Him to heal them. Jesus first asked them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” and their reply was, “Yes, Lord.” “Then He touched their eyes saying, ‘According to your faith let it be to you.’ And their eyes were opened.”Their faith and assurance that Jesus could give them sight was the substance or reality they hoped for. It also gave them the evidence or trust that they would receive what they asked for. They believed; that is, they had faith in advance that it would be done.An Old Testament example of faithAnother example is that of Daniel’s three friends who refused to bow down to King Nebuchadnezzar’s image of gold. Those who refused to bow to the image were threatened with being thrown into a fiery pit alive. The three young Jewish men (Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego) who refused to bow to the image told King Nebuchadnezzar: “If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up” (Daniel 3:17-18).They did not know in advance how God would deliver them from the fiery furnace, whether at that time by saving their physical lives or later in the resurrection. Their faith or trust was the substance of what they hoped for, and it was the evidence of that which was not yet seen or received.Their faith or trust was built on serving God and obeying His commandments. They believed God would deliver them because they obeyed His commandments and did not bow down to worship any others gods.Faith without works is deadThe apostle James, the half-brother of Jesus Christ, uses the example of Abraham, who had both faith and works because he believed God and he obeyed what God commanded him to do.“Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect?” (James 2:21-22).Real faith is more than just believing in God alone. It includes acting on that faith in one’s life by serving God and obeying His commandments. Some may argue that James’ teaching that we should obey the commandments of God is teaching that we are saved by works. That is not the case. The apostle Paul makes this clear when he says, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9).Paul clearly understood and wrote that no one could earn salvation and that faith itself is a gift from God. Yet in the very next verse he went on to say that we are God’s “workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them” (verse 10).Like James, Paul knew living faith would be accompanied by service and obedience to God and His laws. Paul wrote in Romans 3:31, “Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law.”What is the difference between faith and belief? Many in Christianity today use the words faith and belief interchangeably. But is there a difference between these words in the Bible?Generally they are synonymous, and sometimes they are translated from the same Greek word. Actually, the only time the word belief appears in the New King James Version of the Bible, it is translated from pistis, the word for faith (2 Thessalonians 2:13).But the word believe can carry a different shade of meaning. The apostle James wrote in his epistle about what he called dead faith. Dead faith is when one believes in God, but does not obey His commandments.James wrote, “You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?” (James 2:19-20, emphasis added). Here believe is translated from a related Greek word, pisteuo. James contrasts simple belief with living faith. As Christians, we must strive for living faith—belief in God demonstrated by good works according to His laws and commandments. If we simply believe in Jesus Christ, believe that God exists and believe that He is the Creator God, we’re on the same level of belief as the demons! But if our belief in these things inspires us to be obedient to God and changes the way we live our life, then we truly have faith and will be considered faithful if we consistently increase and grow in our relationship with God.God gives faith to those who seek itFaith is increased by drawing closer to God through prayer and the study of His Word, the Bible.Paul told the Philippians to “be anxious for nothing [don’t worry], but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7).The members of the Church of God in Philippi believed God’s Word, and they obeyed His commandments. As they listened and followed Paul’s instruction on giving their cares to God in believing prayer, their faith (belief and trust) was increased.Another way faith is increased is by reading or hearing examples of faith in the Bible publicly expounded. This is mentioned in Romans 10:17. “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”Today, we have the complete Word of God in many different translations. The Bible is God’s inspired Word to mankind. When we read the Bible, our faith (confidence and assurance) in God and Jesus Christ to answer our prayers and bring us through impossible situations increases. What is faith? To summarize, faith is trust, assurance and confidence in God and Jesus Christ. Living faith is not just believing that God exists. It is demonstrated by one’s service and obedience to God.God will increase our faith if we fervently ask Him for it and seek to draw closer to Him in prayer and the reading of His Word. Please support The Podcast By Visiting The Amazon Affiliate Links:A Faith That Will Not Fail: 10 Practices to Build Up Your Faith When Your World Is Falling Apart:https://amzn.to/3JNvxTaHe Gets Us: Experiencing the confounding love, forgiveness, and relevance of Jesus:https://amzn.to/3FvgCuh

A Prayer For Forgiveness: When I Need Forgiveness

What is forgiveness? The Bible’s answer: Forgiveness is the act of pardoning an offender. In the Bible, the Greek word translated “forgiveness” literally means “to let go,” as when a person does not demand payment for a debt. Jesus used this comparison when he taught his followers to pray: “Forgive us our sins, for we ourselves also forgive everyone who is in debt to us.” (Luke 11:4) Likewise, in his parable of the unmerciful slave, Jesus equated forgiveness with canceling a debt.—Matthew 18:23-35. We forgive others when we let go of resentment and give up any claim to be compensated for the hurt or loss we have suffered. The Bible teaches that unselfish love is the basis for true forgiveness, since love “does not keep account of the injury.”—1 Corinthians 13:4, 5.What forgiveness does not mean Condoning the offense. The Bible actually condemns those who claim that bad actions are harmless or acceptable.—Isaiah 5:20. Pretending that the offense never happened. God forgave King David of serious sins, but he did not shield David from the consequences of his actions. God even had David’s sins recorded so that they are remembered today.—2 Samuel 12:9-13. Allowing others to take advantage of you. Suppose, for example, that you loan money to someone, but he wastes it and then cannot repay you as he had promised. He is very sorry and apologizes to you. You could choose to forgive him by not harboring resentment, not rehashing the matter with him continually, and perhaps even canceling the debt altogether. However, you might also choose not to loan him any more money.—Psalm 37:21; Proverbs 14:15; 22:3; Galatians 6:7. Pardoning with no valid basis. God does not forgive people who are guilty of willful, malicious sin and who refuse to acknowledge their mistakes, change their ways, and apologize to those whom they have hurt. (Proverbs 28:13; Acts 26:20; Hebrews 10:26) Such unrepentant ones become God’s enemies, and he does not require us to forgive those whom he has not forgiven.—Psalm 139:21, 22. What if you are the victim of cruel mistreatment by someone who refuses to apologize or even admit to what he has done? The Bible advises: “Let go of anger and abandon rage.” (Psalm 37:8) While not excusing the error, you can refuse to be consumed with anger. Trust that God will bring the person to account. (Hebrews 10:30, 31) You can also take comfort in knowing that God will bring a time when we will no longer feel the deep pain or hurt that may burden us now.—Isaiah 65:17; Revelation 21:4. “Forgiving” every perceived slight. Sometimes, rather than pardoning a so-called offender, we may need to admit that we had no valid cause for being offended in the first place. The Bible says: “Do not be quick to take offense, for the taking of offense is the mark of a fool.”—Ecclesiastes 7:9, footnote. How to forgive someone Remember what forgiveness involves. You are not condoning the wrong or acting as if it never happened—you are simply letting it go. Recognize the benefits of forgiving. Letting go of anger and resentment can help you to keep calm, improve your health, and increase your happiness. (Proverbs 14:30; Matthew 5:9) Even more important, forgiving others is a key to receiving God’s forgiveness for your own sins.—Matthew 6:14, 15. Be empathetic. All of us are imperfect. (James 3:2) Just as we appreciate being forgiven, we should likewise forgive the mistakes of others.—Matthew 7:12. Be reasonable. When we have a minor cause for complaint, we can apply the Bible’s counsel: “Continue putting up with one another.”—Colossians 3:13. Act quickly. Work to forgive as soon as you can rather than letting your anger fester.—Ephesians 4:26, 27.Please support the podcast by visiting the Amazon Affiliate Links:The Language of Deep Forgiveness: Break Free from Struggling to Accept the Unacceptable :https://amzn.to/3FtRiEFTotal Forgiveness:https://amzn.to/3LtDiP6Forgive: Why Should I and How Can I? :https://amzn.to/42fDY0tCommissions May Be Rendered On Amazon Affiliate Links.

The Evil That Men Do: Dumping Nuclear Waste in Public Water

Man has become more evil in these last days. We can confirm that we are now living in the Biblical end times. This episode discusses how a Nuclear plant is openly dumping radioactive material in public river in NY.The owner of the defunct Indian Point nuclear facility says it’s planning to dump about 1 million gallons of radioactive water into the Hudson River. The move, which the company describes as the “best option” for the waste, could happen as early as August.A Feb. 2 meeting of the Indian Point Decommissioning Oversight Board heated up when the plant’s owner Holtec International disclosed the plan as part of its lengthy closure process. The contaminated water could just naturally — and safely — decay in storage onsite.Environmental groups and residents are also concerned this could harm their community, as the Hudson River is already a federally designated toxic Superfund site. Rich Burroni, Holtec’s site vice president for Indian Point, agreed to give the community at least a month's notice before any radioactive discharge into the Hudson River begins. But Holtec is well within its legal rights and permits to discharge waste at the same rate as it did when operating, and it does not need federal, state or local approval to dump the contaminated water. This practice is standard for nuclear plants.Nearly two years have passed since Indian Point shut down its third and final reactor in the village of Buchanan, located on the Hudson’s east bank about 30 miles north of Midtown. Toward the end of its 59-year lifespan, the plant had more than a 2,000 megawatt capacity — providing electricity to more than 2 million homes, or 13% of the state’s power demand.Holtec received about $2.4 billion in funds, shouldered by ratepayers, to decommission the plant. And it wants to do so in 12 years, which is in accordance with town’s wishes to repurpose the site. But Holtec and the surrounding community are still debating what to do with Indian Point’s radioactive remnants.

A Prayer About Faith When Doubt Creeps In Your Mind

5 SIMPLE WAYS TO STRENGTHEN YOUR FAITH:1. TRUSTThis one is a bit obvious, but sometimes the hardest to execute. We must trust Him in all things. It’s commanded in Proverbs 3:5, but here we see Jesus commanding it again. Have faith in God, have complete trust and complete confidence. If we have faith in God feelings of worry, stress, anxiety, fear, and doubt should never surface. If we have faith in God, then we completely trust that He will provide all provision needed. Not only do we trust Him to provide provision, but we are completely confident that He will provide us with an abundant life as well!Click the link the finish the article: https://bit.ly/3hG3MuVDon't forget to get a copy of your prayer journal today:https://amzn.to/3TnDXDe
