When you talk to Paterson, NJ native Sunda Croonquist you realize there's not much this comedian and mom of two hasn't seen or done. Sunda embraces her half black, half Swedish background. This former pageant queen turned probation officer/detective converted to Judaism and now has to suppress her government housing upbringing with her high-rise, private school married life. This week, Kira sits down with comedian and dad, and fellow Russian, Yakov Smirnoff. Yakov is a Soviet-born American comedian, actor and writer. After emigrating to the United States in 1977, Smirnoff began performing as a stand-up comic. He eventually gained fame, and he reached his biggest successes in the mid-to-late 1980s, when he also appeared in several films and television shows, including his own 1986-87 sitcom, What a Country!. His comic persona was of a naive immigrant from the Soviet Union who was perpetually confused and delighted about life in the United States. His humor combined a mockery of life under Communism and of consumerism in the United States, as well as word play caused by misunderstanding of American phrases and culture, all punctuated by the catchphrase, "And I thought, 'What a country!'"The collapse of Communism starting in 1989, and especially the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, brought an end to Smirnoff's widespread popularity, although he continued to perform. In 1992, he bought his own theater in Branson, Missouri, where he still performs and hosts. In the late 1990s, prompted by his own divorce, he retooled his stand-up act to focus on the differences between men and women, and on solving problems within relationships.Smirnoff is also a professor at Missouri State University and Drury University where he teaches "The Business of Laughter." He has appeared in several films, including Miss Congeniality and its sequel, Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous. Newman married actor-writer-director Chad Einbinder in 1991. They have two daughters, Lena (born 1991) and Hannah (born 1995). Newman and Einbinder, a Philadelphia native, regularly join comedian Craig Shoemaker and other friends at Braemar Country Club in Tarzana, California, to watch Philadelphia Eagles games.Chad Einbinder makes people laugh. As a successful actor, writer, and now director, Chad has helped audiences experience the absurd side of life for almost 20 years. A former stand-up comic and once opening act for Three Dog Night. Chad is best know for his work in front of the camera having appeared in over 70 national TV spots, and roles on E.R., Grey’s Anatomy, CSI, Crossing Jordan, as well as 3 seasons recurring as “Rico” on 3rd Rock from the Sun. As a copywriter he has worked for NBC's Agency 2000 special launch projects on shows like Frasier, and Scrubs. Chad has also written multiple 1/2 hour episodes of TV animation shows for Warner Bros. and ABC/Disney.

Kira sits down with comedian and dad, Don Friesen. Don is an American stand-up comedian. Friesen is a relatively "clean" performer who uses self-deprecating humor to lampoon his life as a suburban husband and father. His act consists of satirical scenes that spoof his daily interactions with his wife, kids, tech support, creditors, and airline pilots, mixed in with impressions, improvisation and audience interaction.

Kira sits down with comedian and dad, Chris Strait. Born in Inglewood, CA, and grew up in the Ladera Heights section of Los Angeles. He is the oldest of two boys, and also has on older half-sister (from father's side). He is of primarily Irish and German descent, although he claims himself to be "a European mutt". Strait graduated from Culver City High School in 1994. He later achieved a Bachelors degree in History from California State University, Dominguez Hills in 1999. He then received his Masters degree in Psychology from Antioch University in 2001. Strait had intended to be a psychotherapist, but was told his problem-solving style was “too aggressive”. He began his comedy career while still in graduate school, in the summer of 2000. His Masters Thesis was on the subject of humor. Early influences included George Carlin, Bill Hicks, Richard Pryor, and Louis CK. He is currently married with a daughter and a son.

Kira sits down with actor, comedian, and dad, Dave Anthony. Anthony is the creator, producer and editor of Walking the Room, a podcast that he co-hosts with comedian Greg Behrendt. The two became friends over two decades ago during the early days of Anthony’s stand-up career. They hosted a show together on the Comedy World Radio Network in 2001 and collaborated again on The Greg Behrendt Show in 2006–2007. Anthony has had numerous roles in television, films and commercials, and has been a guest on various late night shows and podcasts. He was a contributing writer for the SuicideGirls and Comedy Film Nerds websites, and had a blog called Stop All Monsters. He has done stand-up all over the world and frequently performs around Southern California. Kira sits down with actor, comedian, and dad, Jamie Kaler. Jamie is an American stand-up comedian and actor who has gained fame by portraying the character Mike Callahan on the TBS comedy "My Boys". Kaler also lends his voice to the show Robot Chicken, as the suicidal blooper host. Greg is a stand-up comedian and television writer/producer.  A regular guest on The Howard Stern Show, Chelsea Lately, The Adam Carolla Show, and The Joe Rogan Experience.  His 2011 book, Dear Mrs. Fitzsimmons received critical praise from NPR and Vanity Fair. Since 2006, Greg has hosted a radio show on Howard Stern’s Sirius/XM channel and his own twice-weekly podcast, Fitzdog Radio.  A regular on Letterman, Conan, and Kimmel, Greg also had two stand-up specials on Comedy Central and spent five years as a panelist on VH1’s Best Week Ever. As a writer, Greg won 4 Daytime Emmy Awards on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.  He also worked on HBO’s Lucky Louie, Politically Incorrect w/ Bill Maher and many others.  He has created and executive produced pilots for VH1 and FX and served as head writer on The Chelsea Handler Show, The Man Show, and Tiny Tonight. Greg is the winner of “The Jury Award for Best Comedian” from The HBO Comedy Arts Festival and a Cable Ace Award for the MTV game show he hosted called Idiot Savants.

Johannsen attended Iowa State University in the early 1980s, originally majoring in veterinary medicine, and then later changing to chemical engineering. He left after three years in college and relocated to San Francisco, California in order to pursue a career in comedy. Johannsen made his debut at Cobbs Comedy Club in San Francisco, and by 1986 had won the 11th Annual San Francisco International Comedy Competition.
