A conversational podcast that approaches a wide range of topics from a blue collar perspective: faith, philosophy, culture, music and most importantly, motorcycles. We’re good guys, we swear. No, really, we actually swear. Don’t let your kids listen. But we are good guys.
Direct Democracy? Feat: Justin Butts
Direct Democracy: a form of government in which policies and laws are decided by a majority of all those eligible rather than by a body of elected representatives
Could this ever be a thing? good idea? bad idea? pipe dream or just another crack pot idea thought up by idealists to create a perfect utopia. Oh the dreamers they must be.
And of course it wouldn't be complete without Mikes crazy thoughts on "Safety Meeting" I guess. He doesn't have to say everything that pops into his head.

As we endure a very warm spring and abnormally dry winter and legislative banning of planned burns we look at the consequences of many missteps. The fire felt like it was on our doorstep and everyone realizes how unprepared we all are.
What brings us to panic when we all know better, logic takes a back seat to social contagion.

This is one of the best we've done, in my humble opinion.
We sit down and talk with Nigel Drapeau, long time friend and brother from another mother. He's got a past that he is willing and open to share with people, not to brag about his past but to show the transforming power of God in his life. "We're just asking questions." -Jesse Ventura
On this weeks episode, we do a little catch up on all things going on in the BCP brothers lives. We also take on a atheistic argument against religion and the pursuit of truth.

Prophets... the fortune tellers of religious circles. They have predicted the end of the world, future world leaders and who I was supposed to be. What do we do when they are wrong and how do we address their failures?
I have great respect for the legit prophets that are out there, but, there are a ton of people out there saying they speak on behalf of God who take it a little to lightly.

Getting to know Mike and making a case for Martha
Getting to know a little bit about where Biker Mike comes from, both geographically and spiritually. Mike has some views that seem to be a little off but when you let him make his case, he seems a little less crazy, still crazy but at least you know how he got there.
At one point in the conversation he defends Martha, who Jesus rebuked, pointing out that too many Christian use this as an excuse to be task lazy and spiritually pretentious. It really is quite the little conversation.
Please excuse the glitch 2/3rds into the episode.

Where does Metal music fall in the heirarchy of art? feat; Dustin Lemois
As fans of metal music, we've found ourselves under a certain level of disregard and at time ridiculed for our choice of musical preference. But, where does Metal music fall in the hierarchy of art? Some people say it takes no talent, like abstract art, upon further study, there is far more to it than it's initial impression. So we break it down and make a case for metal.

SportsBall!
What is it about sports that people love so much? Not just the Big 4(MLB,NHL,NFL&NBA) but all sports. There is a strong bond between geographical unity and sport. The Olympics is one of the greatest examples of tribalism, we may hate everything about the athlete themself, but if they represent out country, we cheer as though it may help. If our team win, we win, if our team lost, they lost.

Angels? Where do they fit in the world of Philosophy?
Biker Mike doesn't like angels, they confuse him and make him angry and uncomfortable with his materialistic understanding of the world. That does not take them out of the Biblical accounts and the human experiences of those that encounter them.
Where do they fit and how can we accept that they are part of our liturgy? If they are really, what would be their understanding of God and do they have free will? These are frustrating questions for Mike.

One year of BCP and a foursome is the best way to celebrate!
The BCP podcast makes it one full year and over 52 episodes. We really knock this one out of the park.
We bring on 2 great guests and Devin does the one chip challenge(look that one up if you've never heard of it) and mike pitches a super TV show that could totally be great. Somehow we kick this one off with severely juvenile d*ck jokes and it kinda just goes down hill from there.
I know I've said it before but this really is one of the best episodes we've ever done. Thank Mike and Brian for coming on and thank you all for listening, some people say "we couldn't do this without you" that doesn't apply here, we do it without you all the time.

This was an interesting conversation to have. In light of recent events we talk about our own experiences with the police within the MC life. We try not to do a 'hot' topic and wait for there to be no external social influence, but if we waited for cops to stop assaulting people, it would never get recorded or released.

Kanya West, Justin Beiber and Dr. Jordan B. Peterson, 2 claim to be Christians, but which one is? Christian celebraty worship.
This is by far the most click bait title we've ever done but we made you look, why not give us a listen.
On this installment of the BCP podcast we do a sacred slaughterhouse, Celebrity Christians, they're not you but we claim them as our own without question. There seems to be an interesting level of celebrity worship within Christian circles. It lacks discretion that should go along with new Christians and puts these people on a pedestal that they really should not be on. What is the solution to helping these people grow and curb their charismatic personality type.

The Santa Dilemma
What is the Santa Dilemma? Does lying to your kids make you a bad parent? Yes, unless you're talking about a fat mythical person that takes credit for giving your kids gifts that you paid for and committing a BnE to boot. not even to mention spying on your kids and forcing them to be paranoid about being good so they can get gifts at Christmas if they're good. What if they're little shits? Gifts anyways? Affirming that they obviously haven't been bad enough so they can push the limit of how bad they can be and still get gifts. Maybe, just maybe giving them the back drop of spiritual insecurity to question their faith in God.
Maybe its not that simple?

Chris Date is Adjunct Professor of Bible and Theology at Trinity College of the Bible and Theological Seminary and co-editor of Rethinking Hell: Readings in Evangelical Conditionalism and A Consuming Passion . A full-time software engineer, Chris believes theology and apologetics are for every average joe in the pews, and not just for pastors, philosophers, PhD’s and the erudite in ivory towers. Formerly a traditionalist, he became convinced of the biblical view of final punishment over the course of a process which began when he interviewed Edward Fudge, and he has since defended the view in several debates and on Justin Brierley's Unbelievable? radio program on Premier Christian Radio UK. Chris is also a steward of the Rethinking Hell project.

We talk about our recent trip down south on the motorcycle, what it's like to take a trip like that together and be married to a man that rides. We touch on self-censorship and the guys' plan to do the One Chip Challenge.

Tourniquet: Riff in Peace Ted Kirkpatrick
This our first tribute episode.
Today we will be talking about the great Ted Kirkpatick, drummer, song writer and the brain behind one of the greatest bands that Devin and Mike both admire. We hope we can make you aware of how much this man did for Christian music and animal rights.
Much love and respect to Ted Kirkpatrick as we mourn and celebrate the death of a great man who did so much good, you will be missed.

Time travel
"Time and space heal themselves up around them and people simply remember a version of events which makes as much sense as they require it to make."
– Douglas Adams.
Time travel, where would you go? What would you see? What may be some of the unintended Consequences of it?
This is a thought experiment, not a scientific discussion. This was fun but completely unnecessary, still learned more about ourselves and one another, more than we thought we would.

Abigail Thorn, Dr. Jordan B Peterson, transgenderism and so much more. Feat: (vanilla)Will Smith
I know sometimes it feels like we are trying to get cancelled but we're not.
Abigail Thorn is a Youtube content creator with a show called Philosophy Tube. we did our best to watch and respond the a video she did about Dr. JBP's latest book and where he fell short according to them. Mike is quite the JBP apologist and will go to great length to defend him. With that, we found ourselves diving into the pool of the transgender discussion.
This episode features our dear liberal friend 'Vanilla' Will smith and it was a great conversation that I am proud to share with you.

Meta Attack; Cain and Abel’s sacrifice
We break down our week and then we discuss Cain and Abel, their sacrifice, murder and what sacrifice takes, more than action but also the heart. I still cant believe how much there is to such a short story that more often than not gets skimmed over.

The Boys are Back in Town
WARNING: THIS EPISODE MAY GIVE YOU A STRONG DESIRE TO BUY A MOTORCYCLE OR GO ON A ROAD TRIP IF YOU ALREADY HAVE ONE.
This one was a bit more of a catch up episode. We talk a lot of motorcycles and life. I intentionally went out of my way not to talk to Devin about his trip so we could all enjoy this together and I could share it with you, I hope you all appreciate that. please Enjoy this conversation because ext eek e tears down my meta analysis of Gen 3.

Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth or...maybe...STFU
There is abbreviation to the Bible as stated in the title. We really don't feel as it is appropriate description for the most Holy inspired hyper linked book ever created. Why do Christians continue push the idea that the Bible is a Basic book?
Anyways, take a listen and share with a Friend... maybe stop calling the Bible basic.

No security in chaos, but there is freedom. The free will debate Pt. 2
So this is a continuation to the 3 hr one we just released last week. We really did have more to say because we had more to think. We are also well aware that this discussion may never be over. This one dives a bit more into the pro free will argument, faith and how we(BCP) understand God.
please enjoy and share with a friend.

This was a long one so buckle up.

Building Brotherhood Feat. Nigel Drapeau
Welcome, one and all, to a new segment we are doing, building brotherhood. These installments might be very bike heavy but will still feature everything you love and have come to expect from the BCP.
This installment features our good friend, Nigel Drapeau, this man has plenty of life experience and is always fun to talk to, that's why we had him on. We talk about regrettable kitchen tattoos, horrible motorcycles experiences and something called "Christian Anarchy" I still don't completely understand it but it was fun to discuss in part. Please enjoy and God Bless, Don't Be a Dick.

As a straight white male...
This was a bit of a reactionary Mini BCP. We stumbled across a social media post that kinda triggered us in a very funny way that might get us cancelled.
We talked about religion, slavery and everyone's favorite topic, racism. Since this was such a short one, we really didn't go into the depth that we normally do, but, it was still a good conversation to open up further conversations.

Language & Understanding + Whiskey
On this installment of the BCP podcast we talk about the evolution of language and regional understanding of speech. We rip on words and phrases that adopt new meaning based on who says it and its intended audience.
This one was a ton of fun and we hope you enjoy it. Again, don't listen with your kids.

Viewing a stolen soul through a digital lense.
The title is a little pretentious, I know. We were gonna Call it 'Sacrificing the soul for a selfie' but I thought this was a little better. Regardless.
On this episode we take on the old superstitious view of having your picture taken steals your soul(or at least part of it). We know this is silly but maybe its not. Is there some truth to this idea or is it all bull shit? Is there some long lost wisdom that we neglected ignorantly? Maybe, just maybe, it's time to put down the phone and open your eyes.
Enjoy

Free speech and the Elon affect with Will Smith.
Shortly after releasing one of our Episodes, Will Smith reached out to us and wanted to talk. We brought up the slap briefly but more than anything he just wanted to come on the show and challenge some of our thoughts, not to fight but just to talk. He is as liberal as you would imagine.
We talked about free speech, echo chambers and we learned just a little bit more about him as a person.

Is Pascal’s Wager worth the bet?
We tackle a nearly 400 Year old philosophical argument. Is it worth it?
Does it hold up to BCP as we build it up and tear it down just to build it back up again.

Straight talk.
Mike and Devin just sit and have a conversation, no agenda, no topic and no plan. This is just us having a couple drinks and enjoying each others company, nothing else. We talk about life events, motorcycles and the books we're reading/listening to.

So you wanna ride a motorcycle?
This is a conversation Devin and I have had a dozen times with many people and they share similar outlines. This time we recorded it. We are having a conversation with a friend who is looking at getting into the drug we call motorcycles.
What kind of riding do you wanna do?
Whats your budget?
What kind of gear do you need?
What are the risks associated?

Deconstruction: All the cool kids are doing it.
On this episode we talk about Devin's unintentional deconstruction of faith and his crawl back to something that resembles a faith filled world view. You wanna Hear Devin almost cry? This is the one you wanna listen to. This truly feels like Faith in a world of deconstruction.
This really is a heart felt approach to something that most Christian and Secularist misunderstand and we hope it can help you rethink it and grow as you listen to it.
