She played the role as his girlfriend in the moment to pacify him and not further escalate the situation. She went to the police but felt re-victimized by the officer handling her situation. Kelli was stalked by a man she met on a dating app. She matched with a guy and after they connected over social media he asked her out. They hit it off and began hanging out every night. He was nice and respectful at first, but then began checking her phone, and spying on her social media accounts. After Kelli told him she wasn't interested in a relationship he became unstable, telling her he missed her, getting mad at her, and even contacting her pretending to be his own mother. He called her non-stop, contacted her ex-boyfriends claiming that she cheated, and created a fake Instagram account using her personal information.  When he began driving by her house she tried to get a protective order, but was told multiple times that she didn't have enough proof. Collier Landry is being stalked by a woman obsessed with his past. As a child, Collier testified against his father in the brutal murder of his mother. Collier channeled his tragedy into the ID documentary “A Murder in Mansfield,” revealing intimate details about his childhood and the loss of his mother. When their friendship started going downhill, she ended it, and he began stalking her because he thought they were in a relationship. Jamie was stalked by an active-duty soldier who used his training to turn her life into a nightmare. Robert Courtney was an upstanding Kansas City pharmacist and family man who was deeply devoted to his church. Courtney owned and operated two pharmacies and was perceived as an innovative businessman. His wealth was apparent to people in Kansas City in the 90's- he lived in a $700,000 home and collected sports cars. It all came crashing down in 2001 when an oncologist discovered that Courtney had been diluting chemotherapy medications. She tipped off the FBI and the Courtney investigation became the FBI's number one priority in 2001 up until 9/11. Courtney claimed that he started diluting the medication to pay a $600,000 IRS bill and to honor his pledge of $1 million to his church. But his greed, and the fact that he got away with it, led him to dilute more and more medications. In the end, over 98,000 prescriptions were diluted, over 4,000 patients were affected and almost 200 people died as a result. One of the most shocking aspects of this whole story is that it took 10 years for Courtney to get caught and if it weren't for one woman, he would still be working as a pharmacist today. Tam was stalked by a man who's been serial stalking and abusing women since he was seventeen. After Tam began dating a guy she met on Tinder, he slowly revealed details of his violent past. He explained they were mistakes of his youth so Tam gave him the benefit of the doubt...until he became violent and their relationship turned toxic. Fiona was stalked for nearly a decade by a man who created a fantasy world about her online. While working at a local restaurant, Fiona served a customer who's constant stare made her uncomfortable. She noticed him frequently pass by the windows of the restaurant to see if she was there. They lived in the same neighborhood and shared some of the same friends, but he started turning up at the neighborhood cafe whenever Fiona was there. Fiona uncovered a delusional online blog about her life - describing her neighborhood, her instagram posts, and her personal details. As the blogs intensified she deactivated her social media accounts, filed a police report, and even moved to another state. Although she changed her phone number she discovered her phone was hacked.  Her emails and text messages were shared on the stalker's Tumblr sock puppet accounts. Jessica and her family started experiencing unexplained occurrences around her home: knocking on windows in the middle of the night, random objects left in their backyard, and their dogs being let out of the gate. She discovered an older man from her neighborhood was responsible for this bizarre behavior. Jessica turned to law enforcement officials but most were dismissive; some even defended her stalker.  She was eventually granted a trespass warning against her stalker-which only intensified his behavior. After a court hearing a judge awarded her a stalking injunction, but Jessica and her family continued to live in fear. After entering the gaming community, Sarvas was approached by the wife of a friend he met through the game. She immediately began taking an obsessive interest in his life. Debbie Riddle is an Anti-Stalking Advocate whose sister Peggy Klinke was stalked and murdered by her ex-boyfriend. Cara was targeted and stalked by a man she had encountered on the internet, with their interactions being solely online and over the phone.  After a few conversations, Cara told the man she was no longer interested and blocked him. Frustrated by his inability to reach Cara, the stalker impersonated law enforcement. Through this ruse, he obtained Cara's personal information from her wireless phone service provider.  Armed with this data and her personal information, he continued to harass Cara, as well as her family, coworkers, and friends. He sent them inappropriate photos of her, issued death threats, and even drove across state lines to show up at her house. Helena has become the target of a relentless stalker who obtained her social media handle.  Upon connecting online, he inundated her with disturbing messages. She told him to never contact her again and blocked him. Despite her warnings, he created fake accounts, subjecting Helena to harassment, terrorizing her, and issuing threats of violence, including threats to kill her and set her house ablaze. Fearing for her safety, Helena reached out to the police, but the stalking persisted. Eventually, the situation became so dire that she had no choice but to relocate from her neighborhood to escape the ongoing threat.
