The court heard testimony from more than two dozen witnesses, including law enforcement officials, former friends and acquaintances of both Paul and Kristin, cadaver dog handlers, and soil experts. In September 2021, the judge in the case ruled that there is sufficient evidence to move the case forward to trial. Currently, the trial is set to occur on April 25, 2022. Years passed and the Smart family was no closer to finding answers to what happened to their daughter on May 25, 1996. Once civilians and private detectives stepped in, the family saw some progress. It wasn't until a new sheriff was elected that moves were made. What eventually brought the case close to an end was a breakout podcast that shed new light on the details and unearthed new clues, finally leading to some arrests in the case.

Decades would pass before they got any real answers.

Like, follow, share, subscribe. Social media has become a way for us to connect with friends, keep up with the news, and more recently, get sucked into possibly harmful spiritual groups. One so-called Instagram guru has founded his community online - touting his ability to control the weather, his connection with aliens, and his status as an actual God. Is he inviting followers to an enlightened lifestyle, or recruiting suckers to fund his exotic vacations, fine whiskies, and expensive cigars?

Thousands of people pass through its gates every day, but only a small fringe group sees this structure for what it really is. Disturbing imagery and secret underground tunnels all set up by the ominously named New World Commission. Is this gateway to the Mile High City just guilty of bizarre art choices, or is it hiding the headquarters to the world’s most powerful secret society? 

With a land area of over six hundred 63,000 square miles, this gorgeous state seated at the highest point on the map attracts over two million visitors per year. But, sadly, not all travelers make it back home. Do they go missing due to the country’s harsh terrain and extreme weather? Or do they vanish because of something more sinister? 

Years passed and the Smart family was no closer to finding answers for what happened to their daughter on May 25, 1996. Once civilians and private detectives stepped in, the family saw some progress. It wasn't until a new sheriff was elected that moves were made. What eventually brought the case close to an end was a breakout podcast that shed new light on the details and unearthed new clues, finally leading to some arrests in the case.

With their daughter missing, her devastated parents relied on law enforcement to conduct a thorough investigation. To their dismay, the case was passed between departments and delayed long enough for key evidence to be lost. Despite sufficient evidence for officers to identify a suspect, they needed his cooperation to close the case. All the suspect was willing to do was plead the fifth. Decades would pass before they got any real answers.
