The Dundalk Jailbreak
100 years ago today, on the 27th of July 1922, Frank Aiken (the future Tánaiste of Ireland) orchestrated the biggest jailbreak in Irish history when his battalion blew a hole in the side of the Dundalk Gaol. We got to record an episode about the jail break live from inside the Gaol (which is now the Oriel Centre) back in May and we're realising the audio for the centenary.
