Pip's London Marathon 2020 charity appeal
To donate please click here . or here Hi everybody, it’s Pip here. Thanks for listening to this special message from the Plane Safety Podcast. I’m both thrilled and terrified to tell you that I’ll be running in this years London Marathon Every year, ten of thousands of people run the 26.2 miles, or if you prefer 40.195 km, around the great city of London. And many of them, including myself, are doing so in order to raise money for charities and good causes. When i ran the marathon in 2016, with your support, we were able to raise nearly £4000. I was totally blown away by your generosity and kindness. Now, I’m asking for you help again. I’m delighted to be running the 2020 London Marathon on behalf of a very worthwhile charity called Sense. Sense is a UK charity supporting people with complex disabilities, helping them communicate and experience the world. They provide a wide range of support for those with complex disabilities from helping access to education, providing families with specialised equipment such as interactive sound and light spaces, supporting affected youngsters in to adulthood and even just arranging days out in the allowing people to enjoy the world around them. Sense is wonderful charity doing great work in the community and I’d like to raise as much money for them as possible. But, I need YOUR help. So, PLEASE consider making a donation to my London Marathon 2020 charity appeal. Every penny, every dollar, euro, yen, ruble and swiss franc will go to charity. 4 years on from my first and only marathon, I’m a little older, a little less fit, my knees hurt and I’m certainly a little rounder across the middle. This is still a huge challenge for me and knowing that your support is helping such a worthwhile cause is a great motivator for me. The costs of producing the podcast are pretty minimal really, aside from occasionally refilling Capt Al’s food trough with chicken nuggets, it doesn’t take too much in the way of resources to put out each episode. So if you have enjoyed the Plane Safety Podcast these last 6 years then you could show your appreciation by giving a little money (or maybe a lot of money) to my charity fund raising efforts. By doing so, not only will you get a warm fuzzy feeling deep inside knowing that you’ve helped make someones life a little better, you will also get a special mention on the podcast, and by way of thanks Al and I plus special guess will be recording a special private episode just for those of who who donate. If you would like to contribute then please do so by visiting my donations page by either clicking on the link in the podcast show notes or by visiting www.planesafetypodcast.com and going to the London Marathon 2020 page and there you’ll find links. You can pay with debit or credit card and remember if you are a UK tax payer then be sure to tick the dos to receive 50% extra gift aid. I’ll also be regularly posting updates on Facebook and Twitter. So, let me thank you all in advance for your generosity. It really means a lot to me. Thanks for listening. Pip

I’m very excited to have secured a charity runners entry in the 2016 London Marathon. This will be a huge challenge for me to train, prepare and then run the 26.2 miles (42km) through London on 24th April 2016.
I am running on behalf of the Huntingdons Disease Association and am aiming to raise at least £2000 (approx $3000). Every single penny, pound, cent, dollar, yen, shilling, euro and buck raised will go to the HDA charity, whose aim is to aid those affected and to develop treatments and ultimately find a cure. Whilst this is a UK based charity, their work and research helps people all over the world.
I am asking for YOUR help in raising as much as possible. Every donation will help inspire and motivate me. In return for your kind donation you will get personal recognition and thanks on the podcast PLUS I am planning to produce a special Plane Safety Podcast episode recorded live from the marathon just for you !
So, if you can afford to, please consider donating to this very worthy cause….. every penny counts. Please follow the link below which will take you to my donations site, managed by Virgin Money.
