Personal Growth Through Mental Health | An Introduction

Hi, my name is Luma Al Khoury and I am a student in the Amman Baccalaureate School. For my 10th Grade Personal Project I decided to create a podcast series that revolves around the topic of mental health. Each episode will feature a new guest and discuss a different aspect of mental health. Mental health is a topic that tends to be swept under the rug in our society, people don’t acknowledge the importance of a someone’s mental  health especially during teenage years. The aim of the series is to raise awareness on mental health as well as teach listeners how to manage it. Mental health is something I have dealt with personally by facing things like anxiety, so I figured I would do something that could help others who are facing similar struggles.  I have been interested in studying psychology for a few years now, and I have gained a lot of knowledge on how the brain works and how to manage stress and anxiety. I figured that doing a podcast could be the most beneficial to communicate with the target audience and reach my goal to help and motivate others who struggle with different mental issues. Each episode will be covering a different problem that people face with their mental health and something people could relate to and gain knowledge from to apply to their real life.
