In Conversation with Ben Chasny (Six Organs of Admittance, Comets on Fire)

Ben Chasny of Six Organs of Admittance joins us for a great talk on a different branch of the underground. Six Organs has provided some incredible outer folk and expansive guitar work since the 90s. His newest album "Sleep Tones" is a full on double LP or pure ambient just released on VDSQ. Chasny has also worked closely with David Tibet, from being in the live Current 93 line up to handling some guitar on the magnificent "The Light is Leaving Us All." For the ExtraNoisextra segment on the patreon, we’ve included one side of the "Sleep Tones" album. This selection comes right after the interview to send you to the dream side.

Noise on Tour

Noise goes on the road as we discuss our early days of touring. Overnight drives, broken down vans, and filthy accommodations are all touched on as we get into the first Hair Police tour, early Hive Mind tours, and much more. Join us for a trip into the distant past through the haze of fumes and hear how we did it at the dawn of the millennium. For the ExtraNoisextra segment on the patreon, we are putting up an entire Hair Police live tape from the early days. "Movies '01-'02" was originally released on Animal Disguise and is now made available for patrons immediately following the episode.Follow us on Instagram: @noisextraFollow us on Twitter: @noisextraaaSupport us on Patreon: patreon.com/noisextra

Skin Crime – Monster (Case History #9)

With the return of the Self Abuse Murder Series, we wanted to put up one of our Patreon episodes on the original Murder Series over here on the regular feed. March to 1980s Soviet Russia with this month's Case History as Skin Crime tackles the werewolf-like existence of Andrei Chikatilo on the "Monster" 7". We get into the life of the Butcher of Rostov and how perfectly the noise relates to his murders. Stay away from train stations and woods, but keep this 7" close. You never know who you will run into.
