It's Time for Spring Cleaning!
Welcome to a new month on Commune Online! Here we are rolling right into spring with a focus on moving new energies into our practice. The sun is shining, birds are chirping, and it’s time to start defrosting from the winter chill. This month, we’re shifting our focus to the inner needs of clearing our new space and starting fresh. It’s time for a little SPRING CLEANING 🐣If our practice and our inner landscape is to be our home, our hope is to make it a place we want to live. To have enough space, nourishment, fresh air, and comfort that there is no where else we’d rather be.but, carving out enough space? Sweeping the dusty corners? clearing the cobwebs? putting fresh food in the fridge? wiping down the windows to let the sun shine in? THATS THE WORK.So this month will be multifaceted, largely living in the YOGA realm (especially compared to last month!) classes will offer cleansing breathwork & kriya, sweeping perspective shifting inversions, vinyasa challenges that ask you search for presence, fresh flows to let in new light, and soft landings to put your feet up (literally & figuratively) to rest after a satisfying deep clean.Join us today : http://www.communeyogastudio.com

Numbing or Nurturing?
When Carling gave birth to Harvey we spent a good amount of time in the hospital, which led to us discussing when are our experiences nurturing growth versus when are we becoming numb to get through the moment. In the yoga practice we all strive to be as present as possible and not wish moments of our life away, but in reality that is only a goal at which we can strive for. Life comes in waves, some of them you will wish would never end and others that you wish would never start. Either way you see things currently how can we live with an opportunistic mindset to explore what is in front of us at the moment to continue to grow as people. Does Alignment Matter?
In this episode we discuss what exactly "Alignment Yoga" is and how we might define the differences between "Good" and "Bad" alignment. With the rise in popularity of group yoga asana classes, the need for standard cueing and aesthetics may have led us to believe that there are right and wrong ways to practice so we wonder who exactly gets to decide many lineages gilded alignment rules, and if we really can apply them as students and teachers.workshops and trainings www.patrickbeach.commusic by www.purple-planet.com

Is procrastination killing your good vibes?
We all procrastinate. It is one of the most impossible things to avoid, sometimes we all need that sense of urgency to kick in so we can transform into our best selves, but other times it can lead to stress and negativity. Carling and Patrick posit the effectiveness of their unique procrastination tactics, and wonder if there may be some upside to deadlines and urgency. With the baby-countdown in full effect, they admit it might have actually be easier to get ready mentally and spiritually, than it has been physically. For in person classes and workshops www.patrickbeach.commusic by www.purple-planet.com

Game of Thrones: Do Emotions or Logic Rule the Realm?
As long time fans of Game of Thrones, Patrick and Carling take time to talk about the show, the perspectives it brings up, and wonder whether emotion or logic are the keys to the kingdom both on and off the screen. Sure, it's pop culture, but all the very best creations offer us moral quandaries and divisive narratives - which ones we identify with is it what its all about. SPOILER ALERT! You Can't Do It All, and That's Ok!
In this episode we discuss the pervasive messaging that we should be able to "do it all" and how that affects our notions of control, worthiness, and living in the moment. What does it actually mean to "do it all" and why do we think we can, or should be able to anyways?Patrick reflects of the difficulties of feeling out of control even in simple unexpected daily situations and Carling wonders if shes actually following her own advice or if she has succumb to the modern woman's expectations of "having it all" while setting expectations for her recovery from childbirth.
