As the case moved to trial it was discovered that the lead detective at the Dallas Police Department failed to turn over evidence to prosecutors. In October of 2020, 23-year-old, Marisela Botello left her home in Seattle, Washington and traveled to Dallas, Texas to visit a friend. On her last night in Dallas, she met 31-year-old Charles Beltran. Marisela never made it back home to Seattle. Six months after she vanished her body was found in Dallas County. A stranded car, a sleeping toddler, and a bitter divorce. On November 6th of 2011 29-year-old Julia Biryukova, strapped her two-year-old son, Sky, in the backseat of her 1998 Acura.  She was headed to Overlake Hospital. But, according to Julia, the car ran out of gas on 112th Avenue. She went for help but when she returned Sky was gone. Investigators soon learned that nothing about the toddler’s disappearance was as it seemed. A sleep-over, a dare, and a license plate. On January 19th, 2020 six teenage boys were having a sleep-over to celebrate a birthday. During a game of truth-or-dare one of the boys was dared to play 'ding dong ditch'. A house in the neighborhood was chosen at random, it was the home of 45-year-old Anurag Chandra. An indictment, dropped charges, and 20 years of neglect. On January 3rd, 2022 Shelia and Clay Fletcher called 911 to report their 36-year-old daughter, Lacey, had stopped breathing. A bench trial, a civil suit, and two defenses.  On June 20th, 2018 Heather Barron called 911 to report that her 10-year-old was unresponsive and not breathing.  Heather Barron and her boyfriend Kareem Leiva were both charged with murder.  Many felt Los Ángeles Department of Children and Family Services also had responsibility for the multiple failures that led to Anthony’s death. As Anthony’s case made it through the courts another child, 4-year-old Noah Cuatro, died while his family was under the supervision of Los Ángeles DCFS. A letter, repeated calls to DCFS, and gang ties. On June 20th, 2018 Heather Barron called 911 to report that her 10-year-old was unresponsive and not breathing.  She gave multiple accounts of what happened that day and how her son had been injured but not one of her stories explained the severity of Anthony's injuries. In 2012 Sierra LaMar vanished while walking to her bus stop in Morgan Hill, California.  Sierra’s belongings were found in a nearby field and evidence recovered led police to 21-year-old Antolin Garcia-Torres.  In 2017 Garcia-Torres was convicted of first degree murder despite the fact that Sierra’s body has never been recovered. When he entered the apartment of 24-year-old Kyle Morgan he found the body of 28-year-old Robin Burton Junior. The scene at the apartment looked like something from a horror film, initially leading police to believe that the murder had been a satanic ritual…but the truth was a little more complicated. A missing infant, biscuits, and a shocking confession. In May of 2007 in a village in Bihar, India, an infant went missing from the primary school. Villagers were soon looking not only for the infant but also an eight-year-old boy named Amarjeet Sada.  The boy was quickly located and brought in for questioning. What he revealed in the interrogation made him the world’s youngest serial killer. An arrest, a foot chase, and four flat tires. On September 30th, 2009 Vincent Rowell took a dump truck from the Jefferson County Lot.  Spike strips were deployed and the truck rolled to a stop, after a foot chase Vincent was arrested by Sumiton County Police.  He was eventually transferred to the Walker County Jail and approximately a week later he was found deceased in his cell. The medical examiner ruled his death accidental due to an automobile crash, but there’s no record of a wreck? What really happened to Vincent? Why are so many people dying at the Walker County Jail? A mental health crisis, a death, and a coverup. On January 12th, 2023 Walker County Deputies were called to the home of 33-year-old Anthony “Tony” Mitchell for a welfare check. He was arrested and booked in the county jail. Two weeks later, on January 26th, 2023, he was taken to Baptist Hospital and later pronounced deceased. The doctor who treated him said he died from hypothermia.  Sheriff Nick Smith and Public Information Officer TJ Armstrong claimed Tony was alert and conscious when he left the jail. However leaked video surveillance from inside the jail told a different story. His death was initially ruled a suicide by Haralson County Investigators.  But after a thorough investigation by Private Investigator, Lee Wilson of Southeast Legal Investigation and Detection things just weren’t adding up. A gold credit card, Facebook Messages, and latex gloves. On Monday, September 16th, 2019 utility workers in Gary, Indiana stumbled upon the body of a young girl. On September 18, 1985 16-year-old Kim Simon went for a walk to meet up with a friend at Whitesboro Junior High near Utica, New York. When she didn’t show up hours later she was reported missing. Andrew Sadek went missing on the early morning hours of May 1st, after leaving his dorm room. It is unknown where he was headed or who he met up with. Andrew remained missing for 2 months.  During the investigation his parents found out that Andrew had been working as a confidential informant for the Richland County, Sheriffs office in Wahpeton North Dakota.  Andrew was found in a very mysterious way and despite a lot of interesting evidence, his death was ruled a suicide by the police. On August 11th, 2009 15-year-old Kayla Berg left to go riding around with a 24-year-old male friend in Antigo, Wisconsin.  He says he dropped her off at a friend's house but no one else can confirm that story.  What police discovered about the house he claimed he dropped her off at leaves more questions than answers.  Where is Kayla Berg? Kayla is a white female 5'2, 108 lbs. She has brown hair and brown eyes. Last seen: wearing a red spaghetti-strap top, a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, tan low-heeled sandals and a silver ringed necklace  Scar on her right shin and small chicken pox scars on her right cheek and the right side of her nose. She has abdominal scars from laparoscopic surgery, and her appendix has been removed.
