Leaning Right and Turning Left with Sadler and the Senator, powered by Pace-O-Matic, features NASCAR legend, broadcaster and businessman Hermie Sadler along with his good friend and Virginia State Senator, Bill Stanley. You can expect a lot of talk about "turning left" as the two longtime racing fans discuss the latest happenings in the world of auto racing, along with some "leaning right" as they dive into the world of state and national politics along with talk about small business and the law. No matter the subject, Sadler and the Senator will keep you informed and entertained each week, and this show will be unlike anything you have ever heard.
Going Around In Circles
Hermie and his BFF Senator Stanley meet up in Virginia's Capitol to discuss what is happening at the 2024 Virginia General Assembly as it approaches the last two weeks of session, what happened with the budget proposals approved in the Senate and House of Delegates, the current state of the attempt to legalize skill games in the Commonwealth, and they also discuss the crazy state of politics in the national scene. Then in second segment, they discuss some crazy democrat proposals that would become law if not for Republican Governor Youngkin's veto pen, show where the Democrats just can't bring themselves to protect both Virginians and victims of human trafficking if "illegal immigration" is involved, and then they talk about the upcoming open-wheel modified SMART Series season with their race team, Sadler/Stanley Racing. This is yet another spectacular episode of Leaning Right and Turning Left With Sadler and The Senator that you just don't want to miss!

Crossover Happens
Hermie and the Senator meet up in the Capitol of Richmond to discuss "crossover," where the Senate finishes their bills and sends them over to the Virginia House of Delegates, and vice versa. Listen as they discuss the important (and silly) bills that will now be considered by the other chamber, and they talk about the current situation of skill games legislation in Virginia, and what will happen next in the next three weeks to support small businesses participate in the gaming industry in Virginia. Barry Knight from the powerful House Appropriations committee on the floor of the House on Wednesday, and what it means going forward. Young Guns and the Utter Hypocrisy of Moms Demand Action
Senator Stanley is having a bad week at the Virginia General Assembly, and it shows in this week's episode of Leaning Right and Turning Left With Sadler and the Senator! First, Hermie and Bill discuss their great passion, auto racing, and introduce to the audience their new "Young Gun" driver for their Sadler/Stanley Racing Team in the Southern ("SMART") Modified Tour Series, Luke Baldwin, son of racing legend, Tommy Baldwin. Listen as they talk with Luke about bringing him to the Tour Modified racing series, his hopes for his future, and what to expect as they run for a championship in 2024 with their other drivers, Jonathan Cash and NASCAR Hall of Famer, Bobby Labonte.
Then, in the second segment, Sadler and the Senator dive deep into what is happening in Virginia's state Capitol. They talk about the frustration of the legislative process, and then call out the "so-called" gun control advocates, "Moms Demand Action" for their utter hypocrisy for wanting to keep firearms out of the hands of law-abiding citizens, but yet have an inconceivable sympathy for violent felons who use guns in the commission of violent felonies – which is totally ridiculous – but when did the liberals and their woke agenda ever make sense?

Behold, The Hypocrites
In this week’s episode, Sadler and the Senator open the show with a discussion about “civility” in the Virginia Legislature, according to one of the retiring Senators whose sanctimony is, quite frankly, breathtaking. Next, the boys discuss the update on the fight for small businesses and skill games, as the Virginia State Police roll-out an anonymous toll-free “tip line” for Virginians to spy on their small businesses who might, just might be in violation of the convoluted skill game law. Then in the second segment, Hermie and Bill talk about the rampant hypocrisy and antisemitism that has exploded on America’s college campuses after the Hamas attack of Israel, and why three college presidents from so-called “prestigious” Ivy League institutions cannot seem to bring themselves to admit that chants by their students calling for the genocide of the Jewish people and annihilation of the state of Israel is dangerous hate speech that violates their student codes of conduct. And then the boys conclude the episode by talking about the upcoming 2024 SMART Modified Tour Race Schedule, and what the Sadler/Stanley Race Team is doing to race for a championship in the Southern Modified circuit next year.

Radical Agendas and Questionable Haciendas
After taking a much-needed break to spend time with their families on Thanksgiving, the boys are back with another action-packed adventure into the current happenings in Virginia after the General Assembly election, and after their loss in their ongoing skill game lawsuit and fight for small business against the casinos and government overreach. They open with an up-to-date and very frank and factual conversation on where small businesses, convenience stores, truck stops, and bars/restaurant owners go from here in order to be able to participate in the emerging gaming marketplace in Virgnia. Then Hermie and the Senator dive into some of the early extreme legislative proposals put forth by the Democrats and compare them to some of the more reasonable legislative proposals drafted by Senator Stanley for the upcoming 2024 Virginia General Assembly Session. And then Sadler and Stanley finish their "Leaning Right" discussion by talking about the controversy that has arisen with one Democrat Senator who may not actually live in the Senate District that she ran for and was elected in, which if true, would be in violation of Virginia's election law! Listen as they discuss the allegations, and what would happen if that ongoing court case proves that this senator did not in fact live where she said she did, and what the chances are that such a lawsuit can even succeed in today's political environment.

Winning By Losing
Hermie and the Senator have brought you along on their two-year journey of fighting government overreach and the power of the casino monopolies as they seek to control small business owners in the Commonwealth of Virginia in the emerging gaming industry. For two years, Sadler was successful in a court of law in overturning an unconstitutional law known as "SB 971," and continued to fight the government that was being influenced by big casino when they tried to change the law in order to ban "skill games" from being operated in small business convenience stores, truck stops, bars and restaurants, because the casinos that now operate in Virginia didn't want the competition. For two years, Sadler obtained an injunction that kept the skill games machines on -- and more importantly, kept these small businesses in business. This week, Sadler and his attorney, Senator Stanley went back to Court to further fight their "David v. Goliath" legal case -- and ran smack into a brick wall. Hear them discuss right after their hearing concluded exactly what went on in Court, why the fight against big government and big casinos is so important for every Virginian who believes in liberty and the free market system, and where they take their fight from the courthouse, to now the statehouse. Listen as the fellas tell how their lawsuit has awakened Virginians and their legislators to the need for small businesses to have a level playing field with big casino interests in the state's new gaming industry, and what they believe their chances are for ultimate success in getting the Virginia Legislature to pass a reasonable tax and regulation law that ends the "skill games ban" once and for all. One thing is for sure, these guys are fighters, and they will never give up when it comes to standing up for the little guys against governmental and corporate bullies. If you care about freedom, then you must listen to this compelling episode of "Leaning Right and Turning Left With Sadler and The Senator!"

Hosted by the President and CEO of the incredible Wendell Scott Foundation, Warrick Scott, at Martinsville’s New College Institute during race week, this installment of “Legendary Conversations” is a must for all fans of NASCAR history. Listen as Richard and Big Frank talk about their families’ history of racing together, and the magical friendship that developed between two legendary drivers during the early years of the sport of stock car racing.

Supreme Court Rules
This week, the Leaning Right and Turning Left boys welcome back their human fanny pack, Shep Moss to the show after his three-week hiatus, and man is there a lot to talk about. Hermie and Bill open the first segment at the historic South Boston Speedway racetrack as they get ready for their open wheel modified race team Sadler/Stanley Racing to try to get into the SMART Modified Series championship final round with their NASCAR Hall of Famer Bobby Labonte at the wheel. But heavy on their minds is the recent adverse Supreme Court ruling that affects their ongoing fight against government overreach on the lives of small businesses, and how the ruling of the court impacts their upcoming civil trial over the skill game fight against the giant monopolistic out-of-state casinos that have invaded Virginia. And in the second segment, Bill and Hermie return three days later to discuss their preparation for their upcoming skill game trial in Virginia, and discuss how their race team fared at the race in South Boston on Sunday, and what’s left for their team to accomplish as they close out the 2023 Southern Modified Racing Season. Brothers and sisters, this week’s LRTL show is packed tighter than Hermie Sadler’s butt in a pair of spandex jogging shorts! So do what the great American Philosopher Larry The Cable Guy says and grab a beer and give a listen to this week’s episode of Leaning Right and Turning Left with Sadler and the Senator!!

Bobby Labonte Wins!
This week, Hermie and The Senator rev up the engines to talk about their race team (Sadler/Stanley Racing) bringing home a big win at Tri-County Speedway with their #18va open-wheel modified race car driven by their NASCAR® Hall of Fame expert wheel man and good buddy, Bobby Labonte! What a difference a week makes, as they discuss how a tough season for their race team in both the Whelen Modified (NASCAR®) and Southern Modified (SMART) series this year was all turned around in one race, as Labonte dominated the field on Saturday night in the SMART Modified Series. Hear the boys breakdown their racing season, as they go over what it took to finally make it to victory lane. Then, Sadler and the Senator talk about their skill game lawsuit, where they stand and where they go from here as they fight for small businesses in Virginia for the right to participate in the emerging gaming marketplace in the state alongside the out of state casinos that have invaded the Commonwealth. Hermie and Bill then finish up discussing the attack on Israel, how the United States may have unwittingly played a role through the Biden Administration’s desire to coddle Iran, the stupid things the left is saying about how its Israel’s fault, and even discuss when our own state legislators say stupid things instead of standing firm against terrorism and supporting the only democracy in the Middle East. You don’t want to miss this outstanding episode of Leaning Right and Turning Left With Sadler and the Senator, Powered by Pace O Matic.

Fate Can Determine Races
This week, Sadler and The Senator -- but no Shep (as he possibly goes on strike for a second straight week in a futile demand for more wages for less effort, just like the Hollywood writers), dive into this week’s episode and talk about a whole host of things, from their joint field trip to what Stanley calls “Darwin’s Waiting Room” in criminal court, how the this November’s political races are shaping up in Virginia and in the nation and tilting towards Republicans in light of the recent major fumbles of Democrats during Virginia’s General Assembly campaign session, and they even discuss how Donald Trump’s current ongoing civil fraud trial in New York legal is affecting the upcoming 2024 Presidential contest.
In the second segment, Hermie and Bill take you back to their Sadler/Stanley Racing Team’s effort on-site at the track for the SMART Modified Series race at the historic Pulaski Motorsports Park this past Sunday, and they sit down with SMART Race Director (and former NASCAR® Race Director) David Hoots and the “Poor Man’s Bill France” SMART Series owner Chris Williams to talk about the final four races of the series, and Hermie’s hilarious interactions with Hoots during the time when Hermie was a Cup car driver at a NASCAR® race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Then the fun kicks into high gear when the “human enigma”-- the iconic, and the one-and-only Alan Joseph joins the show to talk about the fight for small businesses and skill games in Virginia’s burgeoning gambling industry, and he even recounts the famous moment when he actually ran himself owner with his own car! You cannot miss this classic exchange!
And in the final segment, Sadler and The Senator recap the their Sadler/Stanley Race Team’s results on Saturday night in the NASCAR® Whelen Modified race at North Wilkesboro Speedway, and then on Sunday afternoon at the Pulaski Speedway SMART series race with their legendary drivers, Bobby Labonte and Ryan Newman. Tires went flat, race cars got spun out and hit the wall, engines blew up, and the fickle hand of fate determined the outcomes for their team at each race – but there was no quit in the Sadler/Stanley Race Team.
So when Larry The Cable Guy tells you “these guys are good,” he means it, and this episode proves that Larry The Cable Guy is always right!

Hermie Sadler’s TV Life In The Pits
This week Sadler, Shep and the Senator travel to the Sadler Travel Plaza in Shep’s hometown of South Hill Virginia to tape this week’s episode of Leaning Right and Turning Left, and they have plenty to talk about. They open with discussing the current state of affairs in Virginia, the impact of the grand opening of a gambling parlor (with games of chance not games of skill) in downtown Emporia, how casino gambling has evolved into a state that not so long ago shunned gambling as a vice, and how such entities can adversely affect small businesses in the surrounding areas. Listen as Hermie wrongly gets blamed for it all as he stands and fights for the little guy against government overreach in his lawsuit against Virginia.
In the second segment, listen to Shep and Bill as they discuss with Hermie how he transformed from a famous NASCAR® driver to an even more famous Fox Sports® analyst for nearly twenty years, covering racing and providing commentary and humor at each race! Hermie takes us back to the funny stories and amazing life events as he brought the human interest side of racing to the fans on TV over the years.

For The Love of Troy
Crack open that cold beer and get set to listen to a wild episode as Sadler, Shep and the Senator welcome Senator Stanley’s law partner, Virginia trial lawyer legend (and former Attorney General) Tony Troy to the show! The interview bounces around through a number of hilarious topics, from Tony’s Uncle George, his colorful 57-year legal career, and Tony even shocks and surprises Senator Stanley with just how lefty his old democrat law partner turns out to be when Shep, Hermie and Bill quiz General Troy on the political topics of the day! You are going to laugh your butt off when you listen to this week’s crazy installment of Leaning Right and Turning Left With Sadler and The Senator! A Governor’s Pardon for Us All
In this week’s Leaning Right and Turning Left With Sadler and the Senator, the crew talks about the topics that are making headlines in both the Commonwealth of Virginia and the nation. First, they pay homage to the victims of 9/11 on the 22nd anniversary, recount where they each were on that fateful day, and discuss where our country is after that horrible moment in American history. Then Shep, Sadler and Stanley explore the outrageous story about the Virginia Democrat House of Delegates candidate in Henrico who claims that she is now somehow the “victim” of Republican smear attacks after it was discovered that she was producing internet porn that she herself released on a public website while she was running for office! Then the fellas explore the recent “Factual Innocence” Pardon by Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin of Senator Stanley’s client (in his other job as a trial attorney), Loudoun County father Scott Smith (and hero to all fathers everywhere), who was maliciously arrested for standing up to protect his daughter from a public school system that chose their radical transgender policies over the protection of his daughter after she was brutally raped in a high school woman’s bathroom by a boy that was wearing a skirt. And then the Senator, Sadler and the Shep rap up their compelling discussion with an update on Sadler’s ongoing lawsuit (with Senator Stanley as his attorney) for small businesses and against government unconstitutional overreach in the emerging gaming industry in Virginia. Hear how the casino interests are fighting them at every turn to prevent Virginia small business owners from breaking up their monopoly. This is a compelling episode that just cannot be missed.

Labonte and Newman and Tommy Baldwin, Oh My!
The boys go remote to Ace Speedway in North Carolina as the SMART Modified series heats back up for its final stretch to the 2023 SMART Championship. Listen to them as they tape the first part of the episode in Hermie's Chevy Tahoe (from Boyd Chevrolet, of course), talking about the current state of national politics and the upcoming Presidential election in 2024. Then Sadler, the Senator and Shep venture inside the historic short track to take up residence in their Sadler/Stanley Racing Hauler to interview some of the most famous personalities in the NASCAR(r) racing industry. First, they sit down and have some laughs with their SSR driver and NASCAR Hall of Famer (and one of NASCAR's 75 greatest drivers of all time) Bobby Labonte! Then, when Bobby has to run to the SMART Modified Driver's meeting, Hermie grabs one of the all-time greats of racing, legend Tommy Baldwin to have some more laughs with the fellas, and make sure you listen as Tommy poignantly discusses his latest fight for victory -- against cancer. And finally, Hermie and Bill are able to corral their other driver, NASCAR great (and another one of those NASCAR 75 greatest drivers of all time), recent Superstar Racing Experience (SRX) Champion Ryan Newman, to talk all things racing as they have a good laugh over them being his so-called "bosses." Just like Larry The Cable Guy says in the intro, "these guys are good!"

Chasing Short Track Legend Peyton Sellers
Leaning Right and Turning Left roars into the historic South Boston Speedway to catch up with Late Model Racing powerhouse Peyton Sellers! Listen as Peyton tells the boys about his journey in becoming a successful late model driver in the grass roots NASCAR Advance Auto Parts weekly series at local short tracks throughout Virginia, as well as his run for a record seventh championship at South Boston Speedway. Don't miss as Peyton discusses how NASCAR grabbed Peyton's crown for last year's weekly series championship with the stroke of a pen (they called it an "audit," we call it "getting screwed"), and find out where Peyton goes from here as he cuts his path in becoming a short track legend.
But first, you must listen to Hermie and the Senator roast America's favorite podcast side-kick Shep Moss on his sudden and unexpected retirement from being "Captain Chaos" on the South Hill Virginia Town Council. As always, Shep never disappoints in the funny as he defends himself from the onslaught of crap his two friends dish out for leaving his post, and the resulting whirlwind that it has now created in the local town government that he once ruled. Finally, the boys discuss their race team, Sadler/Stanley Racing, getting back on the track as the SMART series gets back to racing for the last two months of the 2023 open-wheel asphalt modified season with their race car driving superstars, two of NASCAR's top 75 drivers of all time, Bobby Labonte and recently crowned champion of the SRX Thursday Night Thunder Series, Ryan Newman!

Sounding the Horn on Allowing P*rn in Virginia!!!
In the final episode of the LRTL "Lake Gaston Tapes," Hermie, Bill and one and only Shep Moss talk about Sen. Stanley's Bill SB 1515 (2023), which required that pornography websites that solicit a Virginia audience put a filter on its website to verify the age of the user and to protect children under the age of 18 from pornography on the internet. Listen as the guys discuss the specifics of this new law authored by Stanley, the horrible effects of pornography on children's growth into young adults, and the surprising reaction of the internet porn providers that decided to cease offering their website to people that live in Virginia, rather than comply with the law in order to protect children. Don't miss the part where Sadler, Shep and Stanley listen to and comment on a select few of the numerous and outrageous (and sometimes threatening) phone calls of protest by adults that the Senator received at his law office after the bill went into effect (warning: some of the language is strong). And make sure that you don't miss a guest appearance by the infamous "Plug Moore" in a hilarious conversation with the fellas!

Enlarging The Strike Zone with SSR Driver Jonathan Cash
Part two of the Lake Gaston tapes has the LRTL boys welcoming to the studio race car driver and Karting specialist Jonathan Cash to talk about what its like to be the third driver in the Sadler/Stanley Racing Tour Modified stable alongside NASCAR® Hall of Famer Bobby Labonte and Legend Ryan Newman, and he and Hermie have an in-depth discussion of the Karting race circuit, the growing industry of Karting along the Atlantic Seaboard, and they talk about the success of their kart manufacturing businesses, Hermie’s Promier Racing Chasis, and Cash’s P & P Speed Shop. But before that even happens, Shep, Hermie and the Senator get side-tracked over Shep and Stanley’s former lives as baseball umpires, and all the fun that came with it. You gotta’ listen as Sadler gets Shep to demonstrate how he would call balls, strikes, at outs at the plate (he calls that one “startin’ the weed whacker”), and what Shep’s strike zone would look like if he had somewhere else to be on game night….We promise you, it’s funny as crap. While not victorious, Hermie shares his afterthoughts and experiences about running for a political office for the first (and last, as he says) time. And Down The Stretch They Come!
The boys took a week off (Stanley had a week-long trial and the Herminator was busy campaigning) but are back at full strength with this latest episode! Sadler and The Senator are “Leaning Right” as they recount Hermie’s final efforts as a first-time citizen candidate for the 17th state senate district, and reflect upon the lessons they both have learned during this election process. Listen as Hermie takes his “final argument” to the people that he hopes to represent, he tells all about the challenges that come with being an outsider going up against the political establishment, and why he feels that it is so important for all of us to get engaged in the political process now in order to protect our future freedoms.

Franklin County Shine
Leaning Right and Turning Left roars into the historic Franklin County Speedway to document the SMART Tour Kenny Minter 110 modified race in Callaway, Virginia to start the 2023 Memorial Day Weekend, but unfortunately without their boy Hermie! Stanley goes solo without his good buddy Sadler (who was with his family watching his daughter play in the D-III softball play-offs for Randolph-Macon College Yellow Jackets), but the fast-acting Senator brings in the Southern Modified Tour owner Chris Williams to stunt-cohost the show! Listen as they have a passionate sit down with Matthew Dillner, Flo Racing Senior Racing Producer, and co-host of “Lost Speedways” with Dale Earnhart Jr., about the passion of short track racing in our rural areas, and why its history and preservation is so important to the fabric of America. Hermie and Bill brought their SS Racing team Modified race cars to the Senator’s home track, and a HUGE crowd came out to see their racers, two of NASCAR’s® 75 greatest drivers of all time, Bobby Labonte and Ryan Newman battle it out in an exciting and action-packed race.
In the second segment, the Senator and Chris Williams re-cap the night’s race at Franklin County Speedway, and talk about the ambience around the track, the fast and great SMART Series race that was on the track, and even the shenanigans that may have occurred off the track. They also talk about their great success with the inaugural “SS Racing and SMART Tour Fan Zone” in appreciation of the tour fans and series sponsor, PACE O MATIC.
And in the third segment, you must listen to an absolutely hilarious interview that Stanley and Williams have with three young modified racing fans, who give us their take on the Franklin County race, how much they love watching the SMART Modifieds at our local tracks, and they even recount a really funny moment after the race while they were sitting in the Pace O Matic SMART ride-along race car parked at the SMART/SSR Fan Zone.
You will love this episode, so pull up your chair, just like Larry The Cable Guy says, close to your phone, open a cold beer and give a listen to this week’s very special episode of “Leaning Right and Turning Left With Sadler and the Senator!”

The Diary of a Disruptor
Following up with last week’s awesome sit-down with Hermie’s brother, NASCAR® great Elliott Sadler, this week’s episode of LRTL with Sadler and the Senator focuses on family issues, family values, and explores Hermie’s foray into the political arena and his experience as a regular citizen stepping forward to run for elected office. Listen as Sadler details the surprising fight that he must wage not just against his Republican primary opponent on the battlefield of ideas, but also his struggle against the “establishment” wing of his own party who think that Hermie, because he puts the people he hopes to represent ahead of party leadership, is “a Disruptor.” Hear how Senator Stanley defines the word, “disruptor,” how he thinks that politicians who put principles over politics is a good thing for our country’s future, and why he believes that the need for strong leaders (and not weak-kneed elitists) is needed more than ever in order to preserve our precious liberty and freedom. Hermie and Bill then discuss the serious injury that they believe is being inflicted upon women’s sports by the woke left’s trans-athlete effort, and they detail why they believe his primary opponent’s cavalier attitude towards the issue is so harmful for our young women who compete in athletics. The fellas finish up the podcast episode by discussing their favorite topics, racing, and the status of their successful lawsuit to protect small businesses in Virginia! They talk about their Southern open-wheel modified race team, SS Racing, and look forward to the upcoming SMART race at Franklin County Speedway on May 26th with their drivers Bobby Labonte and Ryan Newman, and the SMART Series / SS Racing Fan Zone that they are putting on to say a big “thank you” to both their car sponsor and the fans at the race on Friday night at the historic Callaway Virginia track. Y’all come by and see Sadler and the Senator at the race in Senator Stanley’s back yard!

Elliott Sadler Rules (The Sadler Brothers, Part Too)
Part two of the Elliott Sadler Chronicles is finally here! Picking up from where we left off two episodes ago (“The Sadler Brothers, Part Won,” first aired May 4th), Hermie and the Senator dive right in to the life and times of NASCAR® great (and Hermie’s younger brother) Elliott Sadler. They jump right in with Elliott’s recollections of when he was, for a brief and shining moment, the “Mayor of Stuart Virginia” after his huge win at Bristol for the infamous Wood Brothers Racing Team in 2001, and then Elliott goes into great detail his journey as a driver in racing’s top series. Listen as Elliott details his time with some of the best NASCAR® race teams, dealing with the highs and lows that come with competing at the top level of sport, and what he ultimately learned from the political chaos that is NASCAR®. Hear when Elliott recounts what happened inside the #38 M&M’s Ford when it flipped over FIVE times at Talladega in 2003, and follow with him on the path of how his work ethic and “can do” spirit drove his career, leading him to become one of only 36 racers in NASCAR® history to have one win in each of NASCAR’s® top three series -- and being voted by the fans as the “Most Popular Driver” a record four times in the Xfinity Series. Elliott opens up with his brother Hermie about himself, their tight-knit racing family, and his quiet yet impactful life after his NASCAR® career back home in Emporia, Virginia. Hermie and his brother close out the show with great words of wisdom and sound advice when they discuss the real and important issues of life, like coaching kids in youth sports, and the challenges of being fathers in this crazy 21st century world. We call these life lessons, “The Elliott Rules.”

They Think Protecting Our Kids is “Garbage”
Join former NASCAR® driver and Fox Sports® analyst (or as he says in the opening, a former “Spox Forts Analyst”) Hermie Sadler along with his good buddy Virginia State Senator Bill Stanley as they dive into the important topic facing parents today -- protecting their children from the “woke” politicians who let men into women’s sports, into women’s bathrooms, and those who think that Senator Stanley’s ground-breaking bill (and soon to be new law in Virginia) to keep children from being exposed to pornography on the internet (SB 1515) is “stupid” and “garbage.”
Read Senator Stanley’s monumental legislative victory for Virginia’s children here -- The Protection of Minors From Harmful Materials on the Internet Act! -- LIS > Bill Tracking > SB1515 > 2023 session (virginia.gov) .
And make sure that you give a listen as Sadler and the Senator defend the common-sense notion that parents rights are paramount in determining the direction of their sons’ and daughters’ upbringing. You will be riveted to the podcast as you get to hear certain elected Virginia politicians actually tell you, in their words, that protecting children is “garbage,” and “ridiculous nonsense.” Seriously, we are not kidding. And, for our growing Shep Moss following, he didn’t make it to this podcast episode because he is, once again, vacationing……But Hermie and Bill promise that even without the Shepper, you will still love listening to this episode, just like Larry The Cable Guy says!

The Sadler Brothers, Part Won
The boys at Leaning Right and Turning Left With Sadler and the Senator have been busy with campaigning for office and running their small businesses here in the Commonwealth of Virginia, but they still manage to sit down together (minus Shep, he’s on vacation again) to bring to you this week a great flashback to the first time the Sadler Brothers, Hermie and Elliott, got together on this podcast’s second episode ever. This episode is the set-up for the incredibly awesome and great return of Elliott Sadler to the podcast next week, where he picks up where he left off, and engages in a funny and inspiring conversation about his prior life as a NASCAR® driver, and his current life as a coach, father and husband.
In the “Part Won” episode, be prepared to enjoy an absolutely hilarious conversation with the NASCAR® driver voted by the fans to be the one that they “wanted to have a beer with!” Hermie and his brother dive into family history, racing memories, and Elliott’s involvement in the future of racing – iRacing. Listen and Laugh to this great episode, just like our main man, Larry the Cable Guy says that ya gotta’ do!! Git r’ done!!!!

Shep Hates Tattoos, To A Degree…
Pull those belts tight, one more time because Shep Moss roars back onto the show after returning from yet another vacation out of the country….how does he do it? Well, he’s gonna’ tell you, the Senator and Hermie about his seventh vacation of the year, in every excruciating and hilarious detail. The boys then talk at length about the increasing crime wave that seems to be hitting America right now (and what we need to do about it), and how this new and brazen lawlessness is even spilling out from the cities into the suburbs and our rural areas. And, listen closely and laugh as Shep goes a little sideways on his true feelings about….tattoos, of all things. It is truly a sight to be….listened to!!
In the second segment, Shep and Stanley ask Hermie about how his campaign for state senate is going, and what it was like to participate in his first political debate. He discusses the questions that each were asked by the moderator, and his positions along with the positions of the other candidate running for the seat in the Republican primary. Don’t worry though, Shep and the Senator keep it from being an all-serious discussion when they go at it trying to make each other laugh during this discussion about principles and politics.
Hit play, and prepare to learn a little bit, and laugh a lot a bit.

Hootsin’ and a Hollerin’ at South Boston Speedway
Senator Stanley leads off the second segment of the show when he sits down with the Southern Modified SMART Tour Director Chris Williams, his new announcer, the” Mark Twain of Modifieds,” Bob Dillner, and the Tour Flag Man Extraordinaire, Jeff Bunton, for an in-depth and hilarious conversation about everything SMART Tour and the current state of local short track racing, and they even get to talk about the amazing growth and stature of the SMART series both now, and where it is going in the future. Listen as Chris Williams sets up Bob Dillner for some relentless teasing from the Senator about his announcing of the SMART Tour races this year, and then the group welcomes in a true NASCAR® Legend, Former Race Director for the Cup Series and current SMART Series Race Director David Hoots, to hear his perspective on both the history and current state of both modified and stock car racing.
But, the first segment of Leaning Right and Turning Left With Sadler and The Senator is electrifying. First, Bill and Hermie discuss how their team of Bobby Labonte, Ryan Newman and Jonathan Cash did during the weekend of racing at Richmond and South Boston, and then Sadler and the Senator address a political “push poll” put out by Hermie’s Republican opponent in the nominating contest for the 17th State Senate race that assert facts about Sadler that just may be far from the truth (and way out of bounds) in an attempt to sway voters against Sadler.
Hermie responds to each outlandish poll question, and his responses are priceless, and they expose to you, the listener, the dark side of establishment internal politics.

Shenanigans Denied and Rain Delayed
Sadler and the Senator set up the podcast with their “Swear Bear,” Shep Moss this week in the Start/Finish tower at the front stretch of The Richmond International Raceway (RIR) for the Sadler/Stanley race watch party, where their drivers, NASCAR® Hall of Famer Bobby Labonte and NASCAR® Legend Ryan Newman were set to compete in the Whelen Open Modified Race Series. And, while the race may have been ultimately washed out that night, the boys get into an informative and important conversation about the Richmond Circuit Court’s decision to order a Primary in Hermie’s nominating process for the 17th Virginia State Senate District, and then you have to listen when Senator Stanley steps out of the podcast in order to meet and greet the overflow crowd at the event, LRTL Podcast’s prior guests, Senator Bryce Reeves and Senator Bill Carrico, take over the show, and get into a great conversation with Hermie on what it takes to be a candidate in a tightly contested race, what it takes to stand up for and fight for rural Southside and Southwest Virginia values and win, and they even get Hermie to open up about his NASCAR® and Fox Sports® analyst career in ways we have never heard before!

Shenanigans, Part Deux
As the future of Virginia political power in the Virginia legislature hangs in the balance in 2023, the dispute over the Republican nominating process for Hermie Sadler’s grass-roots, anti-establishment run for the Virginia State Senate heats up and heads for the courts as the Republican Party and its leaders attempt to put their “thumbs on the scales” to favor Sadler’s opponent, and use their power to take the decision on who will be their candidate for the November elections away from the citizens of Southside. Listen as Senator Stanley, Sadler and the “Swear Bear” Shep Moss discuss the recent lawsuit filed by the 17th Legislative District Committee Chair Dawn Jones, as she fights a one-woman battle on behalf of the grass-root Republicans against the State Board of Elections, a Virginia government agency that may have improperly bowed to the political pressures from the highest levels of government. Then the boys talk about the endless (and ridiculous) efforts of the Democrats to prosecute Donald Trump, why Democrats always seem to want to weaponize the powers of government to use against their enemies – and make sure you hear how Senator Stanley the lawyer breaks down the case against the 45th President of the United States, and why if he was Trump’s attorney, he would win the case in a “New York Minute.” Plus, the boys get visits from Hermie’s wife Angie, and his darling daughter Hailey as they tape their episode at “Hermie Sadler’s Fo Sho Restaurant,” in beautiful downtown Emporia.
In the second segment of this week’s LRTL, Stanley and Sadler talk about more pleasant things, like their race team and their drivers for Sadler/Stanley Racing, the ongoing NASCAR® season, and the joys (and sometimes expensive) adventures of owning an RV! Once you pick this episode up, you won’t be able to put it down!!! Shindig and Shenanigans!
After a two-week hiatus, Sadler and the Senator come roaring back with a must-listen to episode that explores Sadler’s huuuge campaign shindig with country music stars and NASCAR® Legend and friend of the podcast Kyle Petty, as well as the Virginia Republican Party shenanigans and interference with the nomination process with Hermie’s race for the Virginia State Senate District 17. Listen as Hermie, Bill and their side-kick Shep Moss discuss why the determination of the future of Virginia’s next generation of leaders matters at the local political level, and why we fight, and why we all should fight for what is right, just, and good.
In the second segment, Sadler and the Senator talk racing, the progress of their open-wheel modified Sadler/Stanley Racing team is making on the track with their legendary drivers, NASCAR® Hall of Famer Bobby Labonte and legend Ryan Newman at the wheel of their two-car race team, and how the NASCAR® season is going after the first four races. The Checkers Drop on the 2023 Virginia General Assembly – Time To Go Racing!
The Virginia General Assembly wrapped up its work at a furious pace in order to adjourn “sine die” (latin for “without day”—which means that its now gone from the Capitol, “indefinitely”), with tempers flaring, bills either living or dying, and a still-undecided battle raging over the Virginia State Budget. Hermie and the Senator go over the last days of the 2023 General Assembly session – the ups, the downs, and the still unknowns. They even have an interesting discussion on how Senator Stanley’s legislative agenda fared during session, and how a great bill that he sponsored that would have helped students in our rural and urban areas may have actually been killed because of Hermie and Bill’s successful lawsuit on behalf of the small business owner and skill games. Hermie and Bill also talk about the status of Hermie’s race for the Virginia State Senate, and take a look at the upcoming 2023 SMART and WHELEN open-wheel modified race seasons for Sadler/Stanley Racing with Bobby Labonte and Ryan Newman behind the wheel of their two-car team!
In the second segment, Senator Stanley sits down for a compelling political and regional discussion with his friend, Democrat State Senator Dave Marsden. Listen as both senators discuss the philosophical differences between Republicans and Democrats, as well as the issue that transcends party affiliation in Virginia: Regionalism. Bill and Dave even discuss ways that all regions can come together for the betterment of the Commonwealth. And that even though the two senators don’t agree on some issues, they still try to work together to solve the issues that all Virginians care about -- like the Envigo Beagles! As Larry The Cable Guy says in the show’s opening, grab a beer and pull up a chair close to your phone, and give them fellas a listen to another great episode of “Leaning Right and Turning Left With Sadler and The Senator.”

Redemption For A Heavyweight: Former Congressman Tom Garrett
In a special Valentine’s Day special episode, Sadler, the Senator and their side-kick Shep Moss get together to spend part of the “holiday of love” talking with you, the listener! And boy do they make the most of it! In the second segment, Sadler and the Senator welcome former Virginia State senator and U.S. Congressman, Tom Garrett for a moving and honest conversation about the journey of Tom throughout his life that has now brought him to this moment in time, and why he now wants to serve Virginia again in the 2024 Virginia General Assembly. All Politics Is Local
Larry The Cable Guy hilariously opens this week’s episode of Leaning Right and Turning Left With Sadler and The Senator, and Hermie and Bill recap this week’s events in the 2023 Virginia General Assembly. Its heating up in both the House and Senate as they work furiously to pass their final pieces of legislation that will “crossover” to the other side for ultimate consideration and potential passage in the final weeks of the 2023 Session. Listen as Hermie, Stanley, and Shep Moss bring transparency to the ongoing fight between Richmond and Portsmouth for the “5th Virginia Casino,” and how the casino interests in the emerging gambling industry in our state might just may be pitting the cities of Richmond, Portsmouth and even Emporia against each other, in order to control and determine for themselves where each future gambling establishment will go -- regardless of the will of the Commonwealth’s citizens. Dig deep with the fellas as they talk about China’s “weather balloon” as it flew over the country’s sovereign airspace, at the same time that the Virginia legislature debates the Republicans’ effort to stop the Chinese Communist Party from either buying up our precious farmland in Virginia, or stealing our citizens’ intellectual property (guess who’s almost uniform in their opposition…..here’s a hint, rhymes with Democrats). You wanna know what’s really going on in Virginia? --Then this is the place to be!

"Stop the Presses!” – The State of The Media in Virginia Politics Today
Sadler, Senator and their “plus-one” Shep welcome Dwayne Yancey, expert Virginia political journalist, former Editorial Editor of the Roanoke Times and current Editor of the Cardinal News on-line newspaper to the group’s discussion on the current state of media in politics. The fellas have an in-depth discussion with the sage political editor about what is in store for the future of traditional news reporting in both the state and the nation. Listen in as they discuss the funny, the serious and the current goings-on at the 2023 Virginia General Assembly – and, they also check in with Hermie on how his grass-roots campaign is going as he runs for the Republican nomination for the Virginia State Senate in the newly-drawn 17th District. This episode of Leaning Right and Turning Left With Sadler and The Senator is yet another can’t miss frank conversation with Bill and Hermie on the issues that matter to us all.

Keeping Progress On (And Over) The Rails In Virginia
The fellas (and Shep) are knee-deep and digging deeper this week with all the goings-on with the legislative process during the first full week of the 2023 Virginia General Assembly Session. Hermie and Bill look deep into their totally imperfect “crystal ball” to prognosticate what we might expect in the weeks ahead, as Democrats and Republicans face-off to determine the future of the Commonwealth, with Governor Glenn Younkin at the helm.
And then, Sadler, Stanley and Shep are joined in the second segment by Mecklenburg Electric CEO John Lee and the Co-Op Association Head Muckety-Muck of Government and Public Policy, Andrew Vehorn, to discuss the history of the grass-roots effort to create the electric co-ops in the rural areas of Virginia so many years ago, how they work so hard to keep the power on in their service region, and how they are uniquely positioned to now lead the way to bring broadband fiber optic cable to all of Southside. The conversation concludes with the group talking about the current logic-defying obstacles that the Co-Ops currently face in their 3 year drive to put into the ground the “last mile” of fiber optic cable in the region. When you give this electrifying episode a listen, you will find that the rural electric co-ops efforts are making amazing changes to Virginia’s rural areas that are just so very critical for the future of our Commonwealth.

Ranger Up With Sen. Bryce Reeves!
Week two of the 2023 Virginia General Assembly Session heats up with Sadler and the Senator having a front row seat to what is going on at the Capitol of the Commonwealth! From Gov. Younkin pushing back against the attempted China invasion of Southside farms and local industries, to the liberals’ unwillingness to tackle the most dangerous cause of harm to Virginians, Hermie and Bill tackle all the big issues this week that are facing their beloved state. Joining Stanley and Sadler this week is none other than Sen. Stanley’s current seatmate and BFF, Sen. Bryce Reeves, who sits down with the guys to discuss the current events of the legislative session, and gives us all a great listen to what it takes to be dedicated to your country, your state and the people that you represent when you live a life dedicated to public service. Bryce Reeves is the “Real Deal,” and you can just feel the passion that this legislator has in making a difference for others as a Virginia State Senator. And, of course this episode (like every other episode) would not be complete unless the guys regale y’all with hilarious stories about each other along the way through this must-listen to episode of “Leaning Right and Turning Left With Sadler and The Senator!”

The 2023 Legislative Invasion With Senator Bill Carrico
They.. Are.. Back Again! Hermie and Senator Stanley (with their “plus one,” Party Time Entertainment’s and South Hill’s very own town councilman Shep “Burn Pile” Moss), come out swinging with great conversation and tons of laughs in their first episode of the 2023 Leaning Right and Turning Left podcast season, with special guest, former state Senator and current Executive Director of the Virginia State Police Association, Bill Carrico!
In Hermie’s “Turning Left” moment, Sadler and Stanley open the first hour of the show by having an in-depth discussion about racing, and the upcoming southern modified (SMART) tour with Sadler/Stanley Racing’s new team of drivers for the 2023 season, NASCAR® Hall of Famer Bobby Labonte and NASCAR® Legend Ryan Newman! Former Va. State Trooper Bill Carrico weighs in with his memories of providing police security for the races at Martinsville during the glory days of racing, and they discuss the state of racing as the new season approaches. Then Shep, Stanley and Sadler wrap up the first segment with a hilarious conclusion to the “LRTL Weight Loss Challenge for Charity” that the trio started before the holiday season. Be prepared to laugh out loud as these three do the final weigh-in to determine who lost (or more likely, gained) the most weight over the holidays, and which charity gets the proceeds of the wager that they made of who would lose the most weight – the results will surprise you!!
And in the “Leaning Right Moment,” the Senator, Hermie and Shep talk with Sen. Bill Carrico about the current state of Virginia politics and the 2023 General Assembly Session, the status of Hermie’s current campaign for state senate, hilarious moments when Sen. Stanley and Sen. Carrico sat next to each other on the floor of the Virginia Senate, and they set out what they think is in store for the future (and future safety and security) of the Commonwealth.

Leaning Forward, Looking Back
Closing out the first year of their Leaning Right and Turning Left podcast, Sadler and the Senator celebrate their 50th episode by looking back on the year that was. In the beginning of 2022, Hermie and Bill were embroiled in (what has turned out to be a totally successful) lawsuit against Governor Northam and Attorney General Mark Herring in a fight for small businesses over government overreach-- so what did these two knuckleheads decide to do? Well first, they started a race team (Sadler/Stanley Racing) in order to highlight short track racing in rural areas and the importance of small businesses in those areas; and then, they started this podcast in order to document their legal fight against the government -- to talk about short track racing and current NASCAR® news -- to explore state and national politics that matter to us all on an honest and open platform --- and even to discuss their mutual passion for professional wrasslin’! I mean, where else can you get all of that content wrapped up in one show? Here, that’s where!
The boys announce that because of the incredible success of the show, they have been signed for another year, and discuss all the big topics and celebrity guests in the world of politics, wrasslin’ and racing that they are going to have on the podcast in 2023. Listen as they discuss today’s political climate, the process of candidate nomination in Virginia, and they even discuss what appears to be the casinos’ recent “charm offensive” in the media heading into the GA session. And, perhaps most shockingly, Hermie and Bill reveal what may be a new strategy of the Virginia Lottery to screw small business convenience store owners if they have legitimate skill games in their stores. Sadler and Stanley finish up the first segment of the podcast by talking about how Christmas weekend went for their families, a look back on the year that is ending and the one that is to begin, and even discuss their personal New Year’s resolutions to start 2023 on the good foot! And then, Hermie Sadler picks his favorite racing interview of the podcast this year, and we play it for you -- NASCAR® LEGEND KYLE PETTY!!! You don’t want to miss this great year-ending episode of “Leaning Right and Turning Left With Sadler and The Senator,” powered by Pace-O-Matic!

Christmas Family Traditions
Now run over and put the last strand of tinsel on the tree, get that tray of gingerbread cookies in the oven, and get ready to get in the spirit for the upcoming Christmas celebration with Sadler and the Senator as they talk family traditions, family holiday issues, and, well….family in a hilarious discussion about the upcoming holiday. The boys are on location this week at the Sadler Travel Plaza in Suffolk, Virginia -- and while they are there recording the podcast, they engage in a spontaneous and wonderful conversation with Sadler’s General Manager at the truck stop, Rita Beaman -- who is not only a hoot to talk to, but also is an inspiration for us all in her moving story of how her sheer determination to succeed, and “can-do” spirit, is the epitome of today’s American Dream.
Hermie and Bill also talk about what Christmas means to both them and their families through the years, and Hermie even tries to give the Senator some fatherly advice on how to handle situations during the holidays when your teenage daughter (Hermie has three daughters, Stanley only has one) has…..dare I say… a boyfriend. According to Stanley, it’s a situation that no father should have to face when their darling daughters actually grow up; but according to Hermie, Stanley needs to adjust his fatherly thinking in these matters in order to be successful in navigating these new waters. (Judge for yourself who is right, and whether or not the Senator will even listen to Sadler’s advice!)
So turn the volume of the Christmas songs on your radio down, and crank up the volume on this week’s episode of Leaning Right and Turning Left with Sadler and the Senator as they celebrate the joys of Christmas and family with you, the listener. Both Hermie and Bill hope that each and every one of you have a most blessed and wonderful celebration of Christmas with your family. And we thank you so much for listening and your support of this podcast!

Sadler Wins, And The Loudoun County School Board Sins
It has been a busy and highly successful legal week for the Leaning Right and Turning Left Team, and they bring all of it right to you in this action-packed podcast adventure! Hermie and Bill jump right into the mix to discuss their big fat hairy win (again) in the Greensville Circuit Court for small businesses against unconstitutional government overreach! Listen as the boys break down the legal issues, the future political ramifications that this ruling on skill games may have on the 2023 Virginia General Assembly, the government’s continuing insistence in sticking with its failed legal arguments, the “how and why” Sadler and Stanley won (again), and what exactly the Court found when it ruled (yep, once again) in favor of Hermie Sadler and for free speech and due process protections for Virginia small business owners throughout the Commonwealth.
After that, Sadler and the Senator have an in-depth conversation about one of Stanley’s clients, the Smith family of Loudoun County: how the just-released and devastating Report of the Loudoun County Special Grand Jury impacts their child (who was brutally attacked at her public high school); how it impacts all families of children who attend public school in Virginia and all over the country; the alarming details of just what happened and why these school administrators chose woke policies over their students’ safety; and, why Bill Stanley and his clients Jessica and Scott Smith are committed to standing strong for both their family and other Virginia families in order to hold the Loudoun County Public School Board accountable for putting its own political interests above the interests of the families and community that it is supposed to serve and protect.

Saving Free Speech in America
It’s time for another fantastic “smash and grab” episode of Leaning Right and Turning Left With Sadler and The Senator, and Hermie and Bill never fail to deliver the goods on the topics that mean the most to…um, well…them. In this week’s episode, the boys talk about the upcoming contested political primaries between incumbent Senators and Delegates for the 140 Virginia statehouse seats that are heating up for the 2023 election season, and they hilariously discuss how you too can get your hands on Hermie’s….ornaments…to decorate your Christmas tree this holiday season! Then Sadler and the Senator talk about how Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter is not only restoring free speech to the social media platform giant, but also talk about Musk’s transparent release of information on how the media and Twitter both suppressed the Hunter Biden laptop controversy during the 2020 presidential election cycle, and what it means to the future of our great nation. Finally, Hermie goes over the news coming out of Charlotte North Carolina from NASCAR’S® Champions banquet, and what’s in store for the upcoming 2023 NASCAR® racing season. So grab the popcorn, make sure the dogs are inside the house, and make a nice cozy fire as you sit on your couch and listen to this great episode of Learning Right and Turning Left With Sadler and The Senator during the Christmas season!

Dads Like Us
Hermie, Shep and Stanley get together to discuss today’s topics in both society and politics, and then they open the door to a deep dive discussion about the most awesome responsibility a man can ever have: being a dad. They discuss their own upbringings, the significant influence that each of their dads had on them growing up – and their words of wisdom that made them into the dads that they are today. The even talk about the challenges of being a father to sons and daughters in the “woke” world of today. The Small Business of Politics
Yeah, we took a week off, but we were really busy… So listen to this episode and find out why! This week, the LRTL team of Hermie Sadler and Senator Bill Stanley are back on the show to talk about the most recent updates regarding their lawsuit against Virginia in defense of small businesses in the emerging gaming industry, including a discussion about the potential shenanigans deployed by the efforts that oppose them. Then Hermie and Bill talk about the after-effects of the congressional national elections (in their “Leaning Right Moment”), and how it will affect Virginia and the nation for the next two years. And in their “Turning Left Moment,” they discuss the totally awesome news of who will be driving one of the two Sadler/Stanley Racing Team cars in next year’s Southern Modified (SMART) Tour and NASCAR® Whelen Modified Racing Series – hint, it’s a big name and a big deal! Who will drive the second full-time SSR car? Well, that is also discussed by the boys, so learn their plans for their 2023 open-wheel modified series team when you give this episode a listen. And then Sadler and the Senator have a in-depth interview with Virginia small business owner Justin Pence, who goes into detail about the everyday challenges of small business owners, and why the fight to allow these Virginia small businesses to compete in the free market along with the big ol’ out-of-state casino operators is just so important.

All Hail, Martinsville!
The LRTL crew returns for yet another episode focused on politics and racing! This week, Hermie and Bill talk about the progress of their lawsuit against the Commonwealth of Virginia, and what’s up next for Hermie’s legal team as Sadler v. Virginia continues to work its way through the court system, fighting for small businesses throughout the state against government overreach.
In the Senator’s “Leaning Right Moment,” Stanley and Sadler talk about the upcoming federal congressional election, how government constantly tries to limit your freedoms, and the fact that the Emporia newspaper has just leaked that Hermie will announce that he is running to be the state senator for his area next week!
In Sadler’s “Turning Left Moment,” Hermie and the Senator discuss all the goings-on at the exciting race weekend at the Martinsville Speedway. Hermie Sadler: Undefeated No More
Ladies and Gentlemen, children of all ages! Gather ‘round as Sadler and the Senator relive Hermie’s epic wrasslin’ match with the one, the only, Pro Wrestling Great’s pugilistic progeny and son of Jeff “Double J” Jarrett and Karen Jarrett…..Kody! Joined by everybody’s favorite DJ and “plus one,” Shep Moss, the boys provide stout play-by-play and color commentary to the truly fun (and really funny) video of what has now turned out to be the Herminator’s “Last Match” (or, is it?) with Krusher Kody! Then after that hilarious turn, Sadler, Senator and The Shep interview Kody’s wonderful mom, Karen Jarrett to give her perspective on raising Kody, her take on the backyard wrestling event of the century, and she even gets to answer three different times from each one of these knuckleheads on what its like to live with the loveable and cuddly WWE Hall Of Famer Double J! And, Karen even dishes on the well-kept secret that Hermie can actually cook (well, rice that is…).
In Stanley’s “Leaning Right Moment,” Hermie and Bill discuss the terrible results of the National Educational Assessment (NEAP) test, that showed significant declines in the past two years in both reading in math for Virginia public school students (the worst decline in the nation), why it happened, and what Gov. Youngkin and Republicans plan to do to turn those scores around in the immediate future. Hermie also discusses with Stanley the alarming fact that the United States may just RUN OUT of its diesel fuel supply in the next thirty days (yep, you heard that right), and what that could mean for gas prices, food prices and supply chain issues nationwide.
In Sadler’s “Turning Left Moment,” Hermie and Bill discuss how their inaugural season competing in the SMART Modified Racing Series turned out, the last SMART race at Motor Mile, and their upcoming NASCAR® Whelen Modified Race in Martinsville where two expert wheelmen, NASCAR® Hall of Famer Bobby Labonte and NASCAR® legend Ryan Newman, will be piloting the Sadler/Stanley Racing open-wheel modified machines around this historic Virginia track! Yes, you guessed it, this is yet another “can’t miss” episode of the LRTL podcast!

Bubba and Burt Are In A World of Hurt
This week, its just Hermie and Senator Stanley having a good old-fashioned sit down chat about the goings on in gambling, politics and stock car racing as only the two can have! The boys gab about Hermie’s trip to Double J Jeff Jarrett’s house, his impending wrasslin’ match with Jeff’s son while he is there for the Darrel and Michael Waltrip Charity Event, and they give everyone an update on the progress of their lawsuit for small businesses against the Commonwealth of Virginia, and they even discuss whether or not the new proposal of oversight of gaming in Virginia will be good for the state.
In Stanley’s “Leaning Right Moment,” the guys talk about the internal politics of the possible match-up of Hermie with another Republican politician in the newly-created 17th State Senate District, and what endorsements really mean to a race. And, the Senator rails against a Northern Virginia liberal Democrat, state Delegate Elizabeth Guzman, who is submitting a new bill for consideration by the Virginia state legislature in 2023 that would subject parents to investigations by Child Protective Services, have their child removed from them, and face potential criminal charges if they didn’t acquiesce to and “affirm” their child’s desire to “transition” from their biological gender.
In Hermie’s “Turning Left Moment,” Sadler and the Senator discuss one of the SMART Series’ top drivers Burt Myers’ Disqualification (after a post-race inspection) from his first place finish at the SMART race at Tri-County Speedway for “cheating up” his car with illegal electronic equipment, how it affects the Series as a whole and the Series Championship race at the Motor Mile Speedway this Saturday, and the boys also discuss the wild incident at the NASCAR® race in Vegas involving Cup driver Bubba Wallace intentionally wrecking (and unsuccessfully) trying to fight fellow driver Kyle Larson, and what that means for racing.

Welcome To the Jungle (Grrrl): WOW Wrestling Champion Erica Porter!
Women Of Wrestling (WOW) champion Erica Porter (and her super cool husband Carlo) join Sadler and Stanley for an incredibly poignant and uplifting discussion about her personal story in the world of women’s professional wrestling, her personal health battle outside the ring, and what drove her to establish The Endorphasm Foundation – an organization designed to empower individuals to “move past obstacles in their life by embracing the profound healing power of community and fitness.” Listen as Hermie and Jungle Grrrl talk wrestling and their funny stories about their mutual friends in the industry, and you MUST listen to the hilarious story of the time when Hermie wrecked his wife’s car without ever getting behind the wheel (it involves a wrestler). And, the fun gets funnier when the fellas convince Jungle Grrrl to read this week’s advertising script for Hermie’s favorite sponsor, Manscaped.com! (Get 20% off your purchase and free shipping when you use promo code “SADLER” at checkout at www.manscaped.com.) Hermie loves that!
You will be also be riveted when Erica’s shares with the guys her vigorous fight against breast cancer, and why using her foundation to help others who fight cancer will be one of her lasting personal legacies. Quite simply, when you listen you will agree with Hermie and Bill that Erica Porter, aka “Jungle Grrrl” is the Real Deal. This awesome discussion with the group wraps up with a discussion of Erica’s upcoming fundraising weekend of events for the Endorphasm Foundation (to be held in Richmond on November 5-6th). This is an event that you will definitely want to donate to and be a part of!

By The Government For The Government - When Government Fails The People
In this week’s episode of LRTL, Sadler and the Senator welcome Glen Davis, a Virginia State Delegate from the great city of Virginia Beach, to discuss the shenanigans afoot in the Virginia General Assembly that occurred in the state’s budget negotiations allowing an unconstitutional (and previously unheard of) change of the state’s criminal code, in yet another attempt to keep Virginia small businesses from participating in the emerging gaming market dominated by the out of state casinos. Hear first-hand how a small group of legislators subverted the Virginia Constitution and traditional legislative process to benefit out of state fat-cat corporations in an effort to hurt small business owners that run convenience stores, restaurants/bars and truck stops, and to defy the judicial system (and Sadler’s recent court victory) in Sadler and Stanley’s ongoing court battle to help these businesses that depend on skill games to keep their doors open and their workers employed. Del. Davis, Hermie and the Senator let you in on the secretive back-room process, why it is fundamentally flawed, as well as the reasons behind why a small handful of legislators intentionally kept the public and most of their state representatives from debating the issue; and, find out what you can do about it to make sure that your government keeps its word to be “by the people and for the people” in the future, so this never happens again. Listen as Hermie and Bill update you on how their lawsuit against big government overreach in protection of the little guy is progressing, and cheer them on as they stand up for truth, justice and the Virginia way!
In Senator Stanley’s “Leaning Right Moment,” the boys discuss how the left blames Florida Governor DeSantis for both the hurricane and its aftermath (and why even Democrats aren’t buying what the liberals are selling here), why gas prices are on the rise once again and why the democrats record of failure on kitchen table issues that matter to everyday Americans keeps on growing, and what Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and her liberal elite pals believe is the proper (and clearly racist) role of illegal immigrants in today’s society.
In Hermie Sadler’s “Turning Left Moment,” Sadler details the Sadler/Stanley Racing Team’s upcoming race at the historic Hickory Motor Speedway, their fundraising efforts for the family of Chris Beazley, a member of the racing community who was tragically killed in a car accident by a drunk driver, and Hermie goes in depth on the increasing concern by Cup drivers that the NASCAR® NextGen car is more unsafe than the previous model, and what can be done to make it safer for the drivers in the future.
And the fellas welcome back Manscaped.com to the show as a sponsor, so make sure you listen to the boys giggle as their side-kick Shep Moss attempts to read the script promoting this great product (which you can get 20% off of all purchases and free shipping worldwide when you enter promo code SADLER at checkout).

Living with Autism: A Parent’s Perspective
This week is a very special episode of Leaning Right And Turning Left, where Hermie and Senator Stanley have a very frank and emotional conversation about Autism from the parents’ perspective. Mandi Calhoun and Hermie’s wife Angie Sadler join Bill and Hermie to discuss both the challenges and triumphs of raising children with Autism. Listen as they have an honest and open discussion on their respective family’s experiences raising their children, their struggles in dealing with a public educational system that (more often than not) fails parents with special needs children, and how parents can work together to change the system and ensure that their children can flourish—thereby giving them the best chance to lead wonderful, safe and productive lives as they grow into adulthood. Mandi and the group also discuss her efforts both to help parents through the challenges of raising their children, as well as to educate the special needs educators about current autism issues through her incredible organization F.E.A.T (“Families Embracing Autism Together”) – and, how you the audience member can get involved in and support this very important and special charitable organization.
In Senator Stanley’s “Leaning Right Moment,” Bill and Hermie discuss three “quick hit” topics of the current goings-on in Virginia politics: the brewing debate over Governor Youngkin’s significant “parents first” revision of the previous Northam administration’s radical policy concerning transgender students in the public school system; the Democrat Leader in the House of Delegates ridiculously asserting in an Op-Ed that Republicans are an extreme “threat to public safety” because they believe in the 2nd Amendment; and, Sadler and the Senator even explore the recent headline-making physical altercation between two Republican Delegates from the Senator’s region who are both vying for the same seat in 2023 (that has now resulted in pending criminal charges being taken out by one against the other), and whether anyone wins when political altercations like these are determined in the courtroom rather than in the voting booth.
In Hermie Sadler’s “Turning Left Moment,” the boys discuss the debacle of a race at Texas Motor Speedway, the current state of the Sadler/Stanley Racing Team, and speculate as to whether or not the remnants of Hurricane Ian will affect their upcoming race at Motor Mile Speedway in Radford this weekend.
And hey, one of the best parts about this episode is that the boys’ side-kick, their favorite “plus one,” and the infamous Party Time DJ Shep “Burn-Pile” Moss is back in studio with Sadler and the Senator, and he is ready to Drop the Beat and Light the Fire to all the current topics discussed in today’s opening segment!

Kyle Petty: Swerve or Die
NASCAR® legend, NBC Sports Analyst and all-around great guy Kyle Petty sits down for a deep and compelling discussion with Sadler and the Senator in this week’s LRTL episode. Kyle discusses the release of his incredible new book, “Swerve or Die, Life At My Speed In The First Family of NASCAR® Racing,” and recalls for the boys some hilarious moments in his life, as well as some truly touching moments about his family and dealing with the tragedy of loss. Quite simply, this is the BEST LRTL PODCAST INTERVIEW EVER, and you must give it a listen.
In Senator Stanley’s “Leaning Right Moment,” Hermie and Bill discuss when “inflation isn’t inflation” when it only rises “an inch,” according to our President, and how the left loves open borders and “Sanctuary Cities,” until some of the illegal immigrants that have crossed our southern border actually land in their backyard in the liberal elite haven of Martha’s Vineyard.
In Hermie Sadler’s “Turning Left Moment,” Sadler and the Senator talk about their race team’s performance at the SMART Series Tour stop at Virginia’s Dominion Raceway and why Senator Stanley should never be left in charge of the team when Hermie is not around, because chaos ensues. And, they also discuss the NASCAR® races at Bristol, and how the Cup Championship playoffs are shaping up after four big name drivers are eliminated from playoff contention.

Sweet Home Appalachia
Sadler and The Senator are back again this week with yet another jam-packed Leaning Right and Turning Left episode full of fun, frivolity, legal issues impacting the nation, current politics and what’s new in the racing world. And, the boys welcome some of their favorite people to the show, Billy Riddle and the “Appalachian Podcast” boys for a sit-down about auto racing, life and the virtues of living the gentle fold in God’s palm, Appalachia (for y’all who listen to the show from up north, its pronounced “a-puh-LATCH-uh”). Hear how Billy and Bodean of the “Appalachian Podcast” were the first podcast that Sadler/Senator ever appeared on, and how they inspired Sadler and the Senator to start their very own podcast! It’s a great conversation recorded earlier during the Racetrack Revival week at the historic North Wilkesboro races, where Team SSR made history with Ryan Newman winning in the #39 car, so give a listen because you are gonna love it!
In Senator Stanley’s Leaning Right Moment of the show, Bill and Hermie have a good laugh over “The Great Twitter Battle between Sen. Louise Lucas and Va. Attorney General Jason Miyares,” over Louise’s pot shot at Miyares, and Miyares’ return fire pot shot at Sen. Lucas-- about her Pot Shop! Then, Senator Stanley details his current representation of the Smith family of Loudoun County, and in particular, the father of the child sexually assaulted in the Loudoun County High School bathroom, who was arrested (and branded “a domestic terrorist”) for speaking out and standing up to the Loudoun County School Board for covering up the assault of his child so they could pass dangerous hyper-partisan transgender policies that put his daughter in harm’s way. Sen. Stanley gives an in-depth discussion about defending Scott against the unjust charges Loudoun’s George Soros-backed prosecutor has levied against him, and recounts their most recent major court victories in getting one of the charges dismissed (obstruction of justice), and having the Court grant Stanley’s motion to remove and recuse the politically biased and vindictive prosecutor from further involvement in the pending criminal case against the father.
In Hermie’s Turning Left Moment, Hermie discusses the big news and long-term impact of Kyle Busch joining Richard Childress Racing, and how this signing could be made even more intriguing for the sport of NASCAR® if Kyle was put into a particularly numbered RCR vehicle that also used to be driven by one of the other bad boys of racing. Sadler also dives into Bubba Wallace’s Cup win at Kansas, and the upcoming SMART series race as their SS Racing makes a run for the championship.

In Senator Stanley’s Leaning Right Moment, he and Hermie discuss the President’s ugly and divisive speech that was “supposed” to unite us all, and riff on the current state of politics in Virginia and how their ongoing lawsuit for small businesses (and Hermie’s potential run for State Senate in 2023) is affecting the political landscape at the Capitol of the Commonwealth in Richmond.
In Hermie’s Turning Left Moment, Sadler and the Senator talk in great detail about the stunning news and big changes that are coming to the North Wilkesboro Speedway, their adventures at last week’s SMART Series Tour race at Carteret Speedway in North Carolina, how their Sadler/Stanley Racing Team’s #22 fared on the track at the race, and what’s in store for the SS Racing Team in the upcoming race at Orange County Speedway as they make a final 5-race run for a SMART Series Championship.

Saving The Envigo Beagles With Kindness Ranch’s John Ramer
This episode provides a behind the scenes look of all the work that has gone into rescuing the Envigo Beagles from a painful life of needless scientific experimentation at the Cumberland Breeding Facility in Virginia, with one of the original “beagle warriors,” John Ramer of Wyoming’s Kindness Ranch. Along with Homeward Trail’s Sue Bell, Senator Stanley and Hermie, John Ramer did not hesitate to jump into action to save these precious pups. Hear how it all happened from the very beginning, and how the ongoing removal of over 4,000 beagles from the Cumberland facility is progressing. And, hear the wonderful story about Uno, Ramer’s beagle that was the first to be loaded on the Kindness Ranch van, and who immediately touched the Ramer family’s heart.
In Senator Stanley’s Leaning Right Moment, Hermie and Bill discuss the unfairness of Biden’s student loan bail out for the liberal educational elites, whether Republicans are “semi-facists” as the President claims, and Virginia’s Governor’s push back on 2021 legislation signed by his predecessor Ralph Northam that will tie Virginia’s greenhouse gas emissions to the ridiculous standards of California.
Hermie uses his Turning Left Moment to discuss the resumption of the SMART Series at Carteret, and makes a special announcement about the SMART race at Orange County that you won’t want to miss.

Youngkin’s unique and powerful initiatives to create private/public partnerships to save and revitalize Petersburg, one of the great historical cities of Virginia. Sadler and the Senator then relive “private citizen” Hermie’s foray into local politics and the speech he made at a local county’s Republican Committee (and the petty politics of those that may challenge him in a primary), as he determines whether to throw his hat in the ring for the newly created 17th District for the Virginia State Senate.
And in Hermie’s Turning Left moment, sponsored by Stanley’s wife’s company Vista Installations, the boys talk about the races at Watkins Glen, the insertion of F1 racers into the cup race, the finish between Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott, and the good showing by our friend Chris Rice’s team Kaulig Racing in both the Xfinity and Cup races with AJ Allmendinger. WWE Superstar Mickie James: Me, Myself, and Mattaponi
In this week’s episode of Leaning Right and Turning Left, Hermie pulls another superstar friend out of his phone book when the boys interview 6-time WWE Women’s Wrestling Champion Mickie James! Mickie recounts her road to professional wrestling superstardom, her incredible dual career as a country music star, and both she and The Senator get into a passionate and moving conversation about her Native American heritage as a member of Virginia’s historic Mattaponi tribe, when Mickie suddenly realizes that Senator Stanley is her mother’s (and other family member’s) trial attorney in their ongoing fight for freedom and women’s rights with the elders of the tribe who seek to silence their voice and ability for women to participate in tribal government.
In this week’s Leaning Right moment, the Senator and Sadler discuss more “Left Lunacy” with former Prince Harry’s bashing America at the UN, liberal activists demanding that anthropologists stop referring to ancient human remains as either male or female, since they say there is “no way to know how they ‘identified’” when they were alive, the belief by a dopey college professor that a biological male can get pregnant, and even how a former dude being nominated for the NCAA’s “female athlete of the year” sets back women’s equality in Title IX collegiate athletics. In Hermie’s Turning Left moment, both he and his SS Racing Team partner discuss the upcoming and historic return of racing on the asphalt of North Wilkesboro Speedway on August 2nd and 3rd, with NASCAR® great Ryan Newman driving the SSR #39 open-wheel modified on opening night, and their top-tier team modified driver Jonathan Brown driving the car on the second night!

Bleeding “Carolina Blue,” with Tar Heel Basketball Legend Tyler Hansbrough
Duke basketball fans beware, the Tar Heel version of Christian Laettner is in the house with Hermie Sadler and Virginia State Senator Bill Stanley on this week’s explosive episode of Leaning Right and Turning Left With Sadler and the Senator!! Tyler Hansbrough, Chapel Hill Basketball phenom, NBA® star and all around great guy discusses with the boys his life, his record-breaking basketball career, the insanity of being friends with Hermie and his brother Eliott Sadler, his podcast, “SleepHawk Worldwide,” and what it feels like to have his Carolina jersey retired and hanging from the rafters alongside Michael Jordan’s in the Dean Smith Center Basketball Arena.
In Senator Stanley’s “Leaning Right” moment, Sadler and the Senator dive deep into the hypocrisy of “The Left Lunacy” with First Lady Jill Biden’s ridiculous (and quite frankly demeaning) comparison of Hispanics to “breakfast tacos,” having liberal political operatives call a Latina Republican 2022 congressional candidate in Texas “Miss Enchiladas,” and they analyze in detail the recent national voter polling data that clearly demonstrates the negative effect that the extreme progressive left’s agenda is having on everyday Americans and the Hispanic community at large. The boys even discuss how the left just went nuts (not in a good way) over a the fact that a “Good Samaritan” hero with a firearm stopped a mass shooting at a shopping mall in Indiana (hint: the liberals actually try to blame the hero for carrying a licensed firearm into a “gun free zone” to save the day).
And, in former NASCAR® driver and Fox Sports® analyst Hermie Sadler’s signature “Turning Left” moment, he discusses with the Senator the NASCAR® race at New Hampshire, the controversial news of emerging stock car superstar Tyler Reddick’s moving from the Richard Childress Racing Team to Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan’s 23XI Cup team after the 2023 season, and Hermie’s triumphant return to the broadcasting booth for the FloRacing Channel for this week’s races at Virginia’s Langley Speedway. Biden Tells Small Business Gas Station Owner Hermie Sadler: “High Gas Prices Are Your Fault, Not Mine!” Sadler and the Senator take on the New “Liberal World Order” With Their Guest, “The Greatest Congressman in Virginia,” Rep. Morgan Griffith.
Summary: In this week’s fact-filled and informative episode, Sadler and the Senator fight back against President Biden’s ridiculous claim that it is not his misguided energy policies that are to blame for the nation’s high gas prices, but rather it is the small business gas station owners who are to blame for the pain that all Americans are feeling at the pump, even though Biden’s Chief Economic Advisor says that these high gas prices are a part of the Democrats’ preservation of the new “Liberal World Order”-- whatever the heck that means.
As a part of the Senator’s “Turning Right Moment,” the fellas welcome one of the most brilliant minds in the United States Congress, Rep. Morgan Griffith (Va-9), to engage in a compelling discussion about the true causes of the outrageous rise in in both inflation and gas prices in America, and what it will take for us all to band together to “Build Back Better, Just Like It Used To Be.”
In Hermie Sadler’s “Turning Left” racing segment, Bill and Hermie discuss the Nascar® races at Road America in Wisconsin over the past weekend, their part-time driver Ryan Newman’s huge win in the SRX Series at Stafford (and Ryan’s daughter’s wearing of the Sadler/Stanley Racing Sweatshirt on national TV in Victory Lane), the SSR’s race team’s return to the SMART series at Caraway Speedway that didn’t end so well for their driver, their car (that almost flipped over in a wreck) or the team, as well as the race team’s new mascot, a rescue kitten found in the parking lot on race day, now named “Jon Boy” after their team’s open-wheel modified driver, Jonathan Brown. And, Sadler and the Senator welcome their newest sponsor, Manscaped.com to the podcast, and provide their listeners with an opportunity to buy Manscaped.com’s great man-grooming products at a significant discount when they enter the promo code “Sadler” with their online order. The Leaning Right and Turning Left Boys continue to deliver podcast hit after hit, and after you listen to their latest episode, you will agree that this one is a base-clearing home run!

Wrasslin’ Is Racin’!
In this episode, Sadler and the Senator dive into politics, racing and more importantly, Hermie’s foray into the world of professional wrestling. Listen as Sadler and his buddy Shep Moss relive their funniest moments during Hermie’s racing career when he got to know some of the most famous grapplers in the “square circle,” how he got involved as a wrestler in the emerging NWA-Total Nonstop Action (NWA/TNA) Wrestling with WWE® Hall of Famer (and Sadler and The Senator’s Podcast Boss) “Double J” Jeff Jarrett, as well as his time running the local version of the organization throughout the country for the Jarrett family and NWA. And during Hermie’s “Turning Left” Moment, listen to the hilarious fun as the Senator is shocked to learn that not only did Hermie finally get a paying sponsor for his Turning Left moment, but also when Sadler reveals who that sponsor actually is, the Senator is left speechless for the first time in his life!

So You Want To Run For Public Office: Candidate School 101
In this week’s episode, Sadler and the Senator welcome Virginia’s First District Congressional Committee Chairman and Senate Republican Caucus Communications Director Jeff Ryer and the Executive Director of the Republican Party of Virginia Ken Nunnenkamp to discuss the current state of politics both nationally and in Virginia, the Glen Youngkin, Winsome Earle-Sears and Jason Miyares’ historic victories in 2021, the upcoming federal election this November, and what it will take for Republicans to win back the House of Delegates and State Senate in 2023. And then the crew discusses how somebody who wants to run for a state or local office can win, and make a difference. In the podcast’s “Hermie’s Answering Machine” moment, a caller colorfully asks Hermie’s opinion about a long-standing state senator’s use of clearly foul language in a public speech, and whether its appropriate for an elected official to do so (or even if there is a double standard in the use of such language between Democrats and Republicans). So if you want a great lesson in politics and being a future candidate, this is the episode for you!

The HermieWorld Tour
The HermieWorld Tour Bus makes a pit stop at the Sadler Travel Plaza in South Hill for a comical discussion with Sadler, the Senator, and Hermie’s friends, Shep Moss, and Greg Thrift. Listen as Hermie and Greg go back in time when they tried to solve the O.J. Simpson murder case while they were in California and almost get arrested while driving Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Cadillac in Florida. Senator Stanley uses his “Leaning Right Moment” to discuss the upcoming Governor’s Budget Amendment Session, closing of a dog breeding facility that sold beagles for scientific experimentation in Virginia, and the importance of politicians following the Republican Creed. In two new segments, the boys first roll out “Hermietology,” where Sadler gets to expound on his knowledge and philosophy of the topic of the week, and they dive into “Hermie’s Answering Machine,” where Sadler and Stanley respond to voice mail messages left by the listeners on the “Leaning Right and Turning Left Podcast”Facebook page. Just like Shep and the Senator (but not Hermie), you’ll love this episode so much that you will not want it to end.

Brett Griffin, Eternally Spot-On
Sadler and the Senator bring to the table on this week’s episode of “Leaning Right and Turning Left” an informative and hilarious discussion with Sadler family friend and superstar racing spotter Brett Griffin (co-host of The “Door, Bumper, Clear” podcast and spotter for Kaulig Racing) about the good, the bad, (and the occasionally ugly) side of professional stock car racing in America, his hope for the future of the sport he loves; and, Hermie and Brett even tell some stories of their past adventures with Elliott Sadler when they were all in the racing business together back in the day—well, to the extent that they can tell the tales without getting each other in trouble! In his “Leaning Right” moment, Stanley and Sadler discuss the current condition of the state budget in Virginia and how it affects (if at all) their ongoing fight of the overreach of big government against the small business owner. And in his (almost sponsored) “Turning Left” moment, Hermie breaks down the return of NASCAR® racing to Kenny Wallace Country, good ol’ St. Louis Missouri, as well as the return of The Sadler/Stanley Racing team and the SMART Modified Tour to Caraway Speedway on Wednesday, June 29th! And, the team rolls out their new podcast-listener interactive “Hermie’s Answering Machine,” where you the fan can leave a message for Herm (of anything and in any way you like) that he will play on the show and discuss in future episodes. Give a listen, we bet you will like this one too!

“We Have Not Yet Begun To Fight!” – Why Vigilance Is The Eternal Price of Liberty, Victory And Justice.
In yet another compelling episode, Hermie and Senator Stanley continue to take on the important current issues in both racing and politics. They open the show by discussing the great racing that occurred over the Memorial Day holiday weekend in both the Indy 500, and Denny Hamlin’s victory in the World (aka “Coca-Cola”) 600, as well as revealing the back-room shenanigans that are going on in Virginia with the General Assembly trying to pass a budget that includes an (previously unheard of) attempt to protect big-time out of state gambling interests at the expense of Virginia small business owners like Hermie. The guys expose for all to see the efforts a very few in state government to radically change the Virginia State Code through budget language, and to actively interfere with Sadler’s successful (and still pending) court case. Hermie and the Senator pull back the curtain on an otherwise secretive legislative budget-writing process that is controlled by those privileged few legislators who continue to impose their will and agenda against the majority of the other duly-elected members of the Virginia legislature. And, Sadler and Stanley together outline how they will continue to stand up against this unconstitutional attack against Virginia small businesses, and will continue their fight against government overreach -- not only because it is the right thing to do, but also because they believe that vigilance is the eternal price of liberty, victory and justice.

That Time When The Rock took Hermie For Granite
In this absolutely “must-listen to” episode, when the Senator teases Hermie with the audio of some awesome and hilarious commercials made by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson for Hermie back in the day when Sadler owned a GM dealership, Hermie shocks us all when he opens up in an in-depth and emotionally-frank conversation about their friendship during that time. Hermie candidly reveals to us how close both he and The Rock were to forming their own NASCAR® team in the early 2000’s (which would have been HUGE for both racing and wrestling during that era), only to have those hopes and dreams dissolve into utter disappointment and thoughts of what could have been. Learn both how and why it happened, and who might have actually had a hand in the demise in the “Sadler/Rock” Race Team. Then in the second segment, Sadler and the Senator talk to the “Lightening Rod of Virginia Politics,” Democratic State Senator Joe Morrissey (D-16), about the current state of Virginia and national politics, and how we move forward, together, for the good of all of the citizens of the Commonwealth. And in the final segment, the Senator uses his “Leaning Right” moment to review the stunning report released by Governor Youngkin’s office on the current state of Virginia’s Public School system, and Hermie goes over everything he hated about the NASCAR® All-Star Race in Texas. You don’t want to miss this episode!
