How to Feel Confident When Selling

In this episode of the In Her Financial Shoes podcast we are talking about how you can create, and keep, high energy in your business. This has been the one thing that has made the biggest difference in my business above all of the other personal transformations that have taken place for me. I used to feel quite icky around sales. Selling in a corporate, masculine space is very different to stepping into and selling from a feminine flow. When you evaluate where your energy leaks are and establish what brings you joy in your business, you can really create a high energy and keep you feeling confident when selling to your audience.   In this episode: Getting yourself into the high vibe CEO mindset Key skills to help you prepare for achieving your best results How to choose the best methods for selling that work for you The language that empowers you on your sales calls What can you track to help keep your energy high   Resources: Get my FREE book ‘It’s Not About The Money’ Register for my FREE Financial Coaching Masterclass Connect with Catherine on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook Join Catherine’s Facebook Page and FREE Facebook Group My Online Courses – Investing for beginners from £1 Catherine’s YouTube Channel Find out more about our Wealthy Woman School Join our October Wealth Event – Your Wealth Breakthrough Experience

3 Money Beliefs You Don't Want to Pass on to Your Children

In this episode of the In Her Financial Shoes podcast, I am going to be talking about the 3 money beliefs that you do not want to pass on to your children. Our beliefs around money are the most important thing – even more so than financial education. The way that we make changes to our money beliefs is around the language that we use and not just when it comes to money, but language in our daily lives. We have the ability to change the narrative for our future generations and it is never too late to change your language and energy around money.   In this episode:  The consequences of negative language around money The words that limit our actions Why time is a more critical currency to determine our levels of happiness How to open up conversations around needs versus wants Teaching your children that it is safe to be good with money   Resources: Get my FREE book ‘It’s Not About The Money’ Register for my FREE Financial Coaching Masterclass Connect with Catherine on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook Join Catherine’s Facebook Page and FREE Facebook Group My Online Courses – Investing for beginners from £1 Catherine’s YouTube Channel Find out more about our Wealthy Woman School

Releasing The Need to Control Money

In this episode of the In Her Financial Shoes podcast, I want to share a really important chapter from my book It’s Not About The Money.  This chapter is all about why we need to release the need to control money. Our goals should not be about trying to control money but rather that we have a better relationship with money. This gives space for money to ebb and flow and allows us the confidence to know that although there will, at times, be moments of scarcity, there will also be times of abundance.  This is the final episode of our #MoneyMoments series and it brings you some top bitesize tips from our favourite full episodes.   In this episode: How the fear of change impacts our relationship with money Why the creation of balance and good boundaries are essential to letting go of control Your behaviours are dictated by your beliefs What impact unresolved financial trauma will have on your relationship with money   Resources: Get my FREE book ‘It’s Not About The Money’ Register for my FREE Financial Coaching Masterclass Connect with Catherine on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook Join Catherine’s Facebook Page and FREE Facebook Group My Online Courses – Investing for beginners from £1 Catherine’s YouTube Channel Find out more about our Wealthy Woman School

How to Shift From Scarcity to Abundance

In this episode of the In Her Financial Shoes podcast, I am looking at the power of abundance. When we come at things from a place of scarcity or negativity, we are already telling ourselves that these things are not possible and that they won’t happen. By making a shift in your mindset, you will make a powerful step towards your goals rather than away from them. Activating abundance shows the universe that you are ready to receive and ready to hold onto wealth. Why Asking For Help Will Grow Your Wealth

In this episode of the In Her Financial Shoes podcast, I am talking about financial coaching and why asking for help is so important when it comes to growing your wealth. Financial education alone is not powerful enough to break the trauma loops that keep you stuck. How to Feel Deserving of Money

In this episode of the In Her Financial Shoes podcast I am going to talk to you about how to feel deserving of money so that you can step into wealth®. I realised some time ago that we often get stuck in something that I call the self-deserving loop. How To Start A Pension For A Child

This week on the In Her Financial Shoes podcast, I am exploring how you can make how you can make your child a mini-millionaire with the use of pension investments for children. In 2017, Age UK conducted some research that showed 74% of people rely on the state pension for their sole income in retirement. A report conducted by 7IM showed that most people rely on a lottery win to ensure their comfort on retirement. Pensions are a topic very close to my heart and after changes in pension legislation in the early 2000s, access to pensions is a lot more flexible, making it a better consideration for investment. It is hard for children to understand why they need to think about the future so join me today and find out how we can set them up for retirement from birth.   In this episode How to set up and start a pension for a child Why we need to take one step today to make your child a multi-millionaire by the time they reach retirement age Busting myths and self-limiting beliefs around pensions Why pensions are not just a retirement vehicle but can also be used to start investing and utilising the compound effect to grow long-term sustainable wealth The benefits of helping children understand investments from a young age   Resources: Get my FREE book ‘It’s Not About The Money’ Register for my FREE Financial Coaching Masterclass Connect with Catherine on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook Join Catherine’s Facebook Page and FREE Facebook Group My Online Courses – Investing for beginners from £1 Catherine’s YouTube Channel  Find out more about the Wealthy Woman School My Pension Mini-Course Pensions Made Simple Get impartial financial information at Boring Money

How to Make Better Financial Decisions

In this episode, I take some time to talk about how to make better and easier financial decisions. Traditionally at this time of year, it is a time to pause and reflect on the past year but also on what we want for the year ahead. I love to get curious around my vision, what success looks like for the next 12 months and also pick a theme for the year ahead. Last year my theme was growth and as we move into 2022, I am focusing more on expansion. In today’s episode, I share a wonderful expansion exercise that will really get you thinking about your goals and whether they are truly aligned to your values and intentions. What tends to hold people back is the high expectations that we put on ourselves and this exercise helps you to really look at all sides of the decision-making process to help avoid becoming overwhelmed and giving up. In this episode: Journaling prompts to get you thinking about your own goals and intentions without the influence of others Why becoming overwhelmed with decisions is rarely about the money How considering the full picture before making a change can help you hold onto the plan throughout the year Sometimes there is a reason for not making a change, known as a secondary gain Think about the context of your life when goal setting and consider how they fit with you rather than being guided by the lives of others Resources: FREE masterclass: The 3 Secrets to Make More Money & Actually Keep Hold of it. How to Expand Your Vision: Get Clarity, Confidence, & Abundance

In this episode, Catherine is looking at the power behind getting clear on our financial future and why expanding your vision is the key behind this. Often, we find that we are limited by fear – fear of success and fear of failure. We don’t believe in ourselves, that we are capable of achieving and therefore do not even begin. We perceive this fear of failure as shame or embarrassment and Catherine shares why it is so important to focus on the emotional benefits of a financial goal rather than just the assets it will create. Today’s episode is a practical one. As well as sharing one of her favourite chapters from Glennon Doyle’s book Untamed, Catherine also shares an exercise from her own best-selling book It’s Not About The Money so grab a pen and paper to really implement the changes in life to help you step into your wealth. In this episode: Questions we can ask ourselves to begin expanding into our life’s vision Why we need to consider the change that we want to see in the world, even if it feels completely unattainable The difference between deep level desires and surface level desires and the impact that both have on our ability to get clear on our goals It is time to release the limiting fears and believes so that we can really step into wealth Resources: Get my book Register for my FREE Financial Coaching Masterclass Join The Money Circle Join Catherine’s Facebook Page and FREE Facebook Group My Online Courses – Investing for beginners from £1 Catherine’s YouTube Channel  Connect with Catherine on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook Books “Untamed” – Glennon Doyle

The Self Deserving Loop: Step Into Wealth®

The self deserving loop is a perpetual cycle of deserving and undeserving that prevents us from really stepping into wealth and leaves us flip flopping between the idea that we deserve to receive money but are not worthy of receiving. Money is a tool that helps us to create financial freedom but often, as women, we are left with the feeling that it is wrong to want or receive money. Wrapped around this cycle is all of the emotion that we attach to money making it incredibly hard to break the loop of feeling deserving and self sabotage. I share some top tips that you can use as you start to think about what next year will look like in your life and business, and that will help you with your beliefs around deserving so that you can step into wealth in 2022. In this episode: Think about why you feel the way you do and bring awareness to your core beliefs around money Why you should know the purpose for the money that you are wanting to receive and how to realise those desires How strong boundaries can help prevent you from falling into the self deserving loop Are there any beliefs, relationships or even projects that you need to let go of to prevent the self sabotage Why your intuition is a powerful alarm system that will keep you safe without dropping you into the self deserving loop Resources: Get my book Register for my FREE Financial Coaching Masterclass Join The Money Circle Join Catherine’s Facebook Page and FREE Facebook Group My Online Courses – Investing for beginners from £1 Catherine’s YouTube Channel  Connect with Catherine on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook

Book Launch Week: Guilt & Debt Shame: It's Not About The Money

This week has been a rollercoaster of emotions! Today I explore more around guilt and shame including shame around debt. Not all debt is bad and yet we are trained from a young age to think that we should “get back in the black”, that negative numbers are always a bad thing. The importance of addressing these emotions, and in particular shame and guilt, can have extraordinary results on your creation of wealth, moving you forward to a place of empowerment and sustainability. In this episode: How we can get stuck in a continual debt cycle because of shame Why money is not about who you are We attach the emotions to ourselves using the phrase “I am…” Putting your own needs before others was not selfish but in fact enriching Only you will know when the right time is to let go of the emotions around money Get my book Register for my FREE Financial Coaching Masterclass Join The Money Circle Join Catherine’s Facebook Page and FREE Facebook Group My Online Courses – Investing for beginners from £1 Catherine’s YouTube Channel  Connect with Catherine on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook

Book Launch Week: Emotions of Money: It’s Not About The Money

Sharing another chapter from my new book, around the emotions of money. Money is one of the biggest causes of stress and divorce in this country. I explore why we need to tackle the emotion before we can take the practical steps towards becoming a wealthy woman. In this episode: In order to step into wealth, we need to feel wealthy before we become wealthy What are the consequences of holding onto these emotions around money? The chemical release of emotions makes its presence known in the body and it can be physically damaging Why we should acknowledge that money doesn’t cause the emotion, rather that it is caused by the meaning we attach to money Resources: Get my book Register for my FREE Financial Coaching Masterclass Join The Money Circle Join Catherine’s Facebook Page and FREE Facebook Group My Online Courses – Investing for beginners from £1 Catherine’s YouTube Channel  Connect with Catherine on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook

Book Launch Week: Levels of Wealth Creation: It's Not About The Money

In this special episode, I am sharing another excerpt from my upcoming book “It’s Not About The Money”. Launching on Thursday 9th December, which also happens to be my 40th birthday, I am giving a little taster of what is to come. The Middle Eastern origin of the word Wealth means happiness and prosperity in abundance of possessions or riches. But it isn’t just about the money. It is about the feeling and emotions. In this episode, I am reading from my chapter around the 4 levels of wealth creation. Have a think about where on this journey you are and what level of wealth creation you are at. In this episode: The 4 levels of wealth creation and how we can look at these through the lens of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs Money is driven by the need for love or the need for status Why prioritising all areas of wealth creation means you prioritise no areas with depth and therefore no areas will grow We give money a lot of power that is often achievable if we stay focused on our sense of self and belonging Resources: Get my book Register for my FREE Financial Coaching Masterclass Join The Money Circle Join Catherine’s Facebook Page and FREE Facebook Group My Online Courses – Investing for beginners from £1 Catherine’s YouTube Channel  Connect with Catherine on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook

How to Become a Wealthy Woman & Feel Successful

What does success actually mean? Success is actually a feeling and not a destination or physical state. In this episode: What you can do to feel more successful in relation to our wealth and personal money stories The belief of charging your worth is flawed when women often have a very low self worth meaning that we would never achieve the level of wealth that we desire and deserve Money narratives are not personality types Key characteristics around each money narrative and top tips for managing that money narrative The importance of being mindful of the language that we use and how that can encourage our brain to look for evidence to further support limiting beliefs Resources: Register for Catherine’s FREE Financial Coaching Masterclass Join The Money Circle Join Catherine’s Facebook Page and FREE Facebook Group My Online Courses – Investing for beginners from £1 Catherine’s YouTube Channel  Connect with Catherine on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook Get on the VIP list for my upcoming book Listen back to previous podcast episodes around emotional spending: Your Relationship With Money: It’s Not About the Money 5 Reasons Why You Overspend and How To Stop It How Catherine Overcame the Avoidance of Fee Disclosure with Clients

5 Reasons Why You Overspend and How To Stop It

Overspending and impulsive financial decisions are coping mechanisms and a distraction from what is really going on. Spending gives our brain a reward, a fleeting “high”. We often act from an emotional irrational state that leads us to make bad decisions or bury our head in the sand. I explore exactly why overspending occurs including the science behind it. Once we have discovered the why, we can then explore the how. In this episode: 5 top tips on how we can prevent overspending from happening The things that happen when we are acting from our emotional irrational state How the link between trauma and addiction can affect our spending Why we need to look at healing our relationship with money to help break bad habits with our spending How changing our behaviours from reactive to proactive will increase our bank balance The importance of creating a delay before making a purchase and why that can have a massive impact   Resources: Join The Money Circle Join Catherine’s Facebook Page and FREE Facebook Group My Online Courses – Investing for beginners from £1 Catherine’s YouTube Channel  Connect with Catherine on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook

How To Set Goals For Abundance in Business

In today’s episode, Catherine is joined by marketing and mindset coach, Ellie Swift. Ellie joins us from Western Australia to share her expertise on how to set goals for abundance in business. Goal setting is sometimes considered quite a masculine act and often people set goals that have no real vision for their own life. The other challenges when setting yourself goals is not truly believing that you will achieve them, choosing instead to hope and wish for the outcome rather than know that it is going to happen. Ellie shares how grounded goals can help us take those small steps to our big wins with various tips and tricks along the way.   In this episode: Why categorised goals rarely help you to achieve Why embodying the way you will feel when you have achieved the goal will help you to hit those targets How to create moments of abundance when you feel financially stretched The importance of daily mindset work Why not having all the answers about how we will achieve our goals is part of the growth process How to set incremental goals to achieve the bigger vision Why you should prioritise yourself and your goals   Resources: Register for Catherine’s FREE Financial Coaching Masterclass Join The Money Circle Join Catherine’s Facebook Page and FREE Facebook Group My Online Courses – Investing for beginners from £1 Catherine’s YouTube Channel  Connect with Catherine on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook Connect with Ellie Swift on Instagram Ellie Swift’s Website Ellie Swift’s Podcast: Shine Online
