She had been through several tragedies and was living her “second chance” at life, but 9 days after she left her home in North Carolina, her car was found crashed and abandoned. Twenty-three-year-old Alonzo Brooks attended a party in April of 2004, despite being a homebody, he decided to accompany a few friends to La Cynge, Kansas. Throughout the evening, Alonzo's friends gradually departed, leaving him stranded with no means of getting back home. The next day, Alonzo had not returned, triggering immediate concern from his family. Nearly a month later, his body was discovered under highly suspicious circumstances. Yvonne Menke was heading to warm up her car outside her apartment in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin on December 12, 1985 when she was fatally shot 3 times. On September 22, 1986, 23 year old Beth Barnard was brutally murdered in her home on Phillip Island, Australia. Beth was left with an “A” carved into her chest in reference to The Scarlet Letter, an 1850 novel by Nathaniel Hawthorne in which the main character is marked as an adulterer by being forced to wear an A on her chest. Beth had been having an affair with Fergus Cameron, a well-known member of the community who was married to a woman named Vivienne. Vivienne Cameron is Beth’s alleged killer, but she went missing after the murder and still has never been seen or heard from again… and some of the evidence doesn’t add up. On June 6th, 1985, 3-year-old Alisha Smiley went missing. She had been sitting on a bench outside the Omni International Hotel  in Atlanta, Georgia. Alisha is a black female with brown eyes and dark brown or black hair (which was braided and tied with lilac-colored ribbons). At the time of her disappearance, Alisha stood 3 feet tall and weighed about 30 pounds. She had her ears pierced and a little gap between her lower front teeth. Alisha was last seen wearing a red and white checkered sundress, white sandals with silver buttons, and gold earrings. 19 year old Cheryl Anne Scherer went missing from the Rhodes Pump-Ur-Own-Service Station in Scott City Missouri on April 17, 1979. An off-duty attendant who was at the service station described seeing Cheryl there working around 11:30 am. The attendant left and when she returned, Cheryl had vanished. Cheryl's car was still parked outside and her purse had also been left behind the service station counter. Soon it was discovered that $480 was missing from the cash register. Kenneka Jenkins was a 19-year-old nursing student from Chicago, Illinois who was found deceased in September of 2017 inside a latched freezer in the Crowne Plaza hotel in Rosemont, Illinois, where she attended a party with some friends. 23 year old Amy Lynn Bradley was on a Royal Caribbean cruise with her family in 1998 when she mysteriously disappeared. Her family believes she was taken, and despite multiple sightings of her on the island of Curacao over the years, she has still never been found. It is still possible that Amy is out there and can be brought home.  Amy would now be 48 years old. At the time that she disappeared, she was 5’7”, 120 lbs, with short brown hair and green eyes. 21 year old Jason Landry was driving from his college in Texas to his hometown of Missouri City, about 3 hours away, on December 13, 2020. At 12:31am, his car was found seemingly crashed, with the lights on and the key in the ignition. But Jason was nowhere in sight. Gabby Petito went missing after her and her fiance, Brian Laundrie, were on a road trip across the country. On September 19 around 4:00pm EST, Gabby's remains were found in Grand Tetons National Park.
