Two lads, originally from Cork in Ireland and now living in London, have a cuppa and catch up each week while exploring the collective life landmarks that accompany growing up gay in the world today. Join Kevin and PJ as they navigate their way through gay London and immerse themselves in the virtues and vices of the city whilst battling with the internal shared struggle that every Irish gay man deals with when living away from home - ‘what would mam think?
Ep 130 - Gooped, Gagged, Guncled
It's not spring unless PJ has uttered his favourite phrase 'spring has f*cking sprung' and with that the lads talk about what flowers they envision themselves as. The pair then get into a discussion about whether the English Market or the Marina Market is better. In very exciting news Kevin welcomes the arrival of his beautiful niece and he has never been more in love so the lads decide to talk about the joy and pressure of being an iconic guncle. Ep 129 - Your Mam's a Milf
The record is off to a rocky start as the boys were locked out of the house and Kevin had to slip in through the window which was a struggle but his ass looked amazing. This week the nepo babies of the world come under scrutiny and the lads question if certain celebrities are decent at what they do or are they just riding on their mam and dad’s coattails. They also extend their sympathies to anyone who grew up with a mam who was a milf as it couldn’t have been easy. Ep 128 - Love in Lisdoonvarna
PJ is concerned about a mark that Kevin has on his arm that he acquired when he fell down the stairs at the weekend. Don't hoover the stairs whilst wearing Birkenstocks girls. Kevin then goes on to tell a story about his mam falling down the stairs but doesn't get very far because PJ can't stop laughing. How rude! Then as it's Valentine's week they decide to read out some cute meet stories from listeners about chance encounters and serendipitous scenarios that led to long lasting love. Kevin then gets angry at PJ because he says he can't have a plus one for his wedding. Ep 126 - That's Showbiz
The boys are back with a new look. No PJ hasn’t changed his hair again - I’m Grand Mam has had a bit of a refresh. Basically the lads wanted their faces on the podcast artwork and sure aren’t they dead right because they’re both big rides. It’s the first record of 2024 and Kevin gives PJ a belated birthday present and PJ opens it right there and then and it’s definitely a step up from the tiny manky green bag he got him a few years back. The lads then talk through their ins and outs for the year but most of the ins just turn out to be phrases they’re a bit obsessed with at the moment like 'that's showbiz' and 'give mummy a kiss'.Sign up to the I'm Grand Mam Patreon for more stunning content: https://www.patreon.com/imgrandmam ✨ Hosted on Acast. Ep 125 - A Very Mumsy Christmas
It's the last episode of the year or is it the last episode ever? Who knows? Kevin likes to keep PJ and the girlies on their toes. Kevin's not in the best mood as PJ took him to a coffee gaff in Dublin that is the equivalent to Cork's Puccino's. PJ then apologises to Kevin for dismissing his aversion to junk mail after Nuala was locked out of her gaff when she had a full head of foils in after getting her colour done in Tracey's salon. As it's the last episode of the year the lads take a moment to reflect on their highlights of the last 525,600 minutes and share some of the good news that's been submitted by listeners.Sign up to the I'm Grand Mam Patreon for more stunning content: https://www.patreon.com/imgrandmam ✨Get your hands on a copy of The I’m Grand Mamual from:Easons / Dubray / Bookstation 💕 Hosted on Acast. The chat begins with Jose addressing the rumours of his illicit love affair and then he goes on to talk about moving from the Philippines to Ireland at the age of 11 and being an artistic person and having a new creative pursuit every other month. It’s been a long time coming but the lads have finally invested in a brand new microphone setup and it’s only taken them 4 and a half years. Only stunning audio quality to follow from henceforth. As they didn’t get round to half the submissions in the last episode they dedicate another episode to regrets and there’s a girl who regrets buying a house with her ex-fiancé only to find out he’d been getting off with her bestie behind her back. The theme for the weeks is regrets and the listeners don’t disappoint with their submissions. PJ then has an apology to make to people who had to wait for him on a flight recently when he was getting an iced latte because mama needs her juice. The theme of the week is reality tv, prompted by the fact that Big Brother is back on our screens. Then prompted by their book making it to number 2 in the Irish book charts, narrowly missing out on the top spot, they discuss their experiences of being second best. In the catch-up this week Kevin throws ideas at PJ for Jose’s birthday celebrations, which is always a tricky one to organise as PJ loves to plan everything to a tee but Jose likes to chillax. They also talk about the horrors of wearing a dance belt when they were younger and the joy of taking it off after a ballet class. The theme for the week is America, the land of the free, chosen by PJ because he wanted to tell everyone all about his stories from his many trips to the States. Though Kevin has never been, he has always been obsessed with America, exemplified by the fact that he had an Obama hoodie and a Starbucks wallpaper on his phone when he was a teenager.Preorder The I'm Grand Mamual from:Easons / Dubray / Bookstation 💕Sign up to the I'm Grand Mam Patreon for more stunning content: https://www.patreon.com/imgrandmam ✨ Hosted on Acast. From Dinky Donuts to Krispy Kreme, there's no avoiding the torus shaped treats and Kevin is ready to break his silence. The theme for the week is pets and PJ learns that Kevin actually did have pets in his youth, he just hasn't mentioned them before for fear of being cancelled. PJ loves a tongue piercing on a fella but Kevin thinks it's absolutely horrendous. Kevin says that he wishes he lived above a coffee shop as it would tie in with his Sunday morning fantasy of popping down to get his flat white before returning to bed with his lover to read a broadsheet newspaper. The theme for the week is hens and stags, chosen by Kevin because he wants PJ to get his act together and start planning the wedding again so that he has something to look forward to. The theme for the week is festivals and Kevin questions if he’s just not cut out for the festivals anymore whilst PJ reckons he’s better suited to them because or a traumatic experience he had in Dripsy woods when he was 16. They then spend the rest of the catch-up fawning over a professional dancer they both had a crush on back in the day. The focus is then shifted towards the topic of nerves. Though they're quite calm and collected for the most part these days, when they were younger Kevin was up in a heap when he had to give a speech to the Lord Mayor and PJ recalls how his stomach once slipped out his ass when he was taking a dance class and someone whipped out a camera.Sign up to the I'm Grand Mam Patreon for more stunning content: https://www.patreon.com/imgrandmam ✨ Hosted on Acast. Ep 95 - Klutz Era
PJ has noticed a few changes in Kevin from having spent the last few days with him in London. He's very impressed with his cooking abilities which have come a long way since his Linda McCartney sausage days and he also thinks that Kevin has elevated his outfits. A change that Kevin has not welcomed is the fact that he is now in his klutz era; he took a hopper in his most recent Crossfit class and was mortified. Did Kevin mention he does Crossfit now?The theme is gambling and despite the fact that the lads aren't massive risk-takers themselves they suggest what forms of gambling they could be allured by and offer interior-design advice for the bookies to get more gay punters through the door because currently the decor is not giving.Sign up to the I'm Grand Mam Patreon for more stunning content: https://www.patreon.com/imgrandmam ✨ Hosted on Acast. Ep 94 - Don't Be A Bystandard
PJ just arrived in London and tells us how triggered he is from all the chaotic people he encountered in Dublin Airport before his flight and Kevin is still traumatised from an accident he had at the weekend which nearly gave him a sexy scar. The theme for the week is bullying and the lads start off by discussing the fact that when they were in school a new anti-bullying campaign was shoved in their face every week but they're not sure how effective the campaigns were. They talk about the ridiculous insults people used in their teens, Kevin buying McDonald's for a girl who had her phone screen smashed by bullies and they reveal why they refuse to stop using the term 'hetty'. Ep 93 - Cost of Sliving Crisis
Kevin is back in London but his return wasn't all plain sailing as he tells us of the ordeal he went through with his suitcase at Heathrow Airport. In celebrity news, Molly Mae and Tommy Fury have just called their newborn baby Bambi and the lads reckon people shouldn't worry about the girl having to apply for a mortgage with that name because her mam is minted. The theme for the week is money management and Kevin and PJ discuss their spending habits and question whether they need to start being more sensible when it comes to budgeting now that they're approaching their thirties. They then read chaotic submissions from listeners who have spent their money on ridiculous bits including a mad thing who spent €180 on two mugs from Germany.Sign up to the I'm Grand Mam Patreon for more stunning content: https://www.patreon.com/imgrandmam ✨ Hosted on Acast. Ep 92 - Poles Apart
Well, Kevin has finally finished with Sleeping Beauty and is slightly hungover for the record as he was out late for the wrap party. He’s also slightly h word which PJ takes issue with. Though his contract has come to an end he is still carrying the weight of being a 'role model' for the next generation of performers, a title he takes quite seriously and is kind of obsessed with. The boys then dissect Spare, the new memoir from Prince Harry, though they already know an awful lot about the contents of the book by seeing things online and against their own will. They take a look at the most chaotic aspects of the book and question why a man of his age uses words like todger and gan gan. No need for it. They also have great difficulty in ascertaining the difference between the North and South Pole but at least they’re both pretty.Sign up to the I'm Grand Mam Patreon for more stunning content: https://www.patreon.com/imgrandmam ✨ Hosted on Acast. Ep 91 - Car Boots and Cocaine
The boys are recording in PJ's house in Dublin and Kevin expresses his concern that the cats have taken over the gaff since his last visit. The boys are mortified because they have slowly come to the realisation that sea swims are a small bit stunning but were taking the piss out of sea swimmers for ages so now they're eating their words. Then, because the boys are still on an engagement buzz, they go through listeners' submissions of chaotic wedding moments; from brides getting their toes sucked to a nan having their wrist broken in the bouquet toss, some of the stories are absolutely bananas!Sign up to the I'm Grand Mam Patreon for more stunning content: https://www.patreon.com/imgrandmam ✨ Hosted on Acast. Ep 90 - Yes Way, Jose
It's the first episode of 2023 and Kevin is still using the term chillaxing but we move. The lads have a quick catch-up on what they got up to over Christmas and New Year's and both come to the conclusion that they detest Snuggies (sorry Lindsey). But the big news is that Jose got down on one knee on New Year's eve and popped the question and PJ felt like he was having an out-of-body experience and said yes so now they've a wedding to save for and Kevin is obviously weak for them but is also weak for the fact that this means loads of extra content for the podcast. Also PJ shares details of his stunning engagement ring and Kevin reveals how he was tempted to leak a photo of the ring to the press.Sign up to the I'm Grand Mam Patreon for more stunning content: https://www.patreon.com/imgrandmam ✨ Hosted on Acast. Ep 89 - Poxic Tositivity
It's the last episode of 2022 and what better way to kick things off than pondering over the dilemma of whether you would shag Tom Hardy or not if he was your first cousin. 2022 has been all over the gaff but the boys do their best to try and reflect on the nicer moments of the last 12 months. Kevin and PJ also give some chaotic predictions for the year ahead and question whether peplum will ever have the resurgence it so rightly deserves.Sign up to the I'm Grand Mam Patreon for more stunning content: https://www.patreon.com/imgrandmam ✨ Hosted on Acast. Ep 88 - Mortification Station
Kevin had his opening night of the pantomime but the first show didn't go as smoothly as he would have liked and he was a small bit traumatised. PJ is also a small bit traumatised this week as he has developed a lisp since he started wearing his new retainer. Then because they had a load of submissions that they never got to last time they read out some more mortifying moments. There's a story about a waitress assaulting a customer who she believed to be her friend with a menu, a woman having a really awkward encounter with a mirror in a shop in Dublin and an altar server who took their role at the church a little too seriously and the lads are left squealing at the chaos of it all.Sign up to the I'm Grand Mam Patreon for more stunning content: https://www.patreon.com/imgrandmam ✨ Hosted on Acast. Ep 87 - Pussy Puce
PJ has once again gotten the train down to Cork to see Kevin as the lads agree that the vibes are always immaculate when they’re recording in person together but one thing they’re not happy about is the fact that the sweet trolley hasn’t yet made a return to Iarnród Éireann. PJ was Christmas decoration shopping at the weekend and is feeling all kinds of festive and the lads discuss chaotic gifts they asked Santa for in the past. They then turn their attention to embarrassing moments prompted by a mortifying encounter Kevin had in London with a tote-bearing girl he presumed to be a fan of the pod. They talk about the fact that they don’t really get too embarrassed themselves and that it’s more-so the little things that send them spiralling. But one thing they both agree on is the fact that David Beckham should definitely be mortified for himself. They then read some listener submissions of embarrassing stories. Ep 86 - The Thorn of Tralee
The episode begins with PJ having a bone to pick with Kevin regarding a hidden hairdryer in his house. The theme for the week is beauty pageants and to kick things off they play the incomparable 2007 Miss Teen USA quote regarding Americans' inability to locate the US on a world map before moving on to discuss the chaos and short-comings of the Rose of Tralee contest and its unhinged predecessor Calor Housewife of the Year. And of course how could the world of pageantry be explored without speaking about the stunning work of Sandra Bullock in the camp cult classic, Miss Congeniality.Sign up to the I'm Grand Mam Patreon for more stunning content: https://www.patreon.com/imgrandmam ✨ Hosted on Acast. Ep 85 - A Snug in the Stars
The episode begins with an unprovoked attack against the layout of PJ's kitchen, though really the only person at fault is the sadistic cowboy builder who left the Kirby household with three fake drawers and a shortage of sockets. The boys also share their disdain of personalised mugs with photos and cursive fonts and Kevin reckons PJ's sister Lindsey should know better. Then, prompted by the similarity between PJ and the picture of Bono on the front of his new book the boys put their U2 discography knowledge to the test. The theme this week is astrology and the lads are fairly sceptical of the whole stars and crystals thing but find a stunning website which kind of convinces them that there's some truth and accuracy to it.Sign up to the I'm Grand Mam Patreon for more stunning content: https://www.patreon.com/imgrandmam ✨ Hosted on Acast. Ep 84 - A Lesson in Speech and Elocution
The episode starts with the lads announcing that Kevin is appearing in the Cork Opera House pantomime this year (oh yes he is etc etc) and how he already has a romanticised vision of his Christmas in Cork. The pair then move on to the theme for this week which is accents and ponder whether the podcast would be as successful as it is if it wasn’t for their Cork accents. They also have very little faith in the suggestion that Irish people have the sexiest accent in the world (surely not like?) and put their acting skills to the test by taking famous movie quotes and giving them a Leeside spin.Sign up to the I'm Grand Mam Patreon for more stunning content: https://www.patreon.com/imgrandmam ✨ Hosted on Acast. Ep 83 - This Is What Dreams Are Made Of
The lads recently went on a trip to the Royal Albert Hall to see Sam Smith with Universal Music Ireland and came to the realisation that they do in fact like concerts as long as it’s seated and the setting is glamour. They then turn their attention towards the theme this week ‘dreams’ and because they’re pretty clueless on the topic, even when it comes to their own chaotic dreams, they call on the help of expert and author Delphi Ellis to help explore the subject further. She helps the lads debunk some dream myths, helps Kevin analyse the phrase ‘It’s Chico time’ and speaks of a new phenomenon whereby people are so stressed about getting 8 hours sleep a night that they can’t cope and their sleep is inhibited further.Delphi’s book Answers in the Dark: Grief, Sleep and How Dreams Can Help You Heal can be purchased on Amazon or HiveSign up to the I'm Grand Mam Patreon for more stunning content: https://www.patreon.com/imgrandmam ✨ Hosted on Acast. There’s not much time to have a catch up on the weeks’ antics in this episode as a long-anticipated guest is in PJ’s kitchen and is an eager beaver and buzzing to record. Despite a hectic school schedule, Pádraig has finally managed to make it in front of the mic and he wastes no time in divulging dating app interactions, his very first impressions of Kevin way back in primary school and just how mad he is about his own mam. They talk about Jerry and how he was one of the podcast’s biggest supporters and how much of a legend he was in general. The lads know he’s going to be watching over them and keeping a close eye on their future projects.Kevin shares that because it’s been a whirlwind of a year he has recently started therapy and though he’s loving it he’s worried he’s too hung up on having his therapist like him. PJ has two new cats Happy and Sailor and he speaks about finding the balance now that he’s a working mam. Then prompted by the talk of someone bringing their dog on a first date they discuss icks; things that are instant turn-offs, making your skin crawl and killing your boner. Kevin also finds the energy to have a go at the PR companies for being cheapskates and only sending bits to PJ because he lives in Dublin. They then go from reality to the world of fiction and discuss everything to do with telling lies. Growing up gay they had to lie about who they were in order to protect themselves which makes them question if it is okay to lie sometimes. It turns out to be an incredibly candid episode with the boys telling us about some of the major fights they’ve had, stealing granola from landladies and a detailed description of a chaotic anniversary tarpaulin. Also Joe Wicks’ fart gets a mention. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Ep 58 - Call Of Beauty
2021 is off to a chaotic start and in Kevin’s words has almost felt like a ‘fever dream’. From right-wing terrorists storming The Capitol to white gays sinking a cruise ship in Puerto Vallarta, it seems like 2021 has simply switched wigs with 2020 and the lads can't cope. The theme for this week is beauty and grooming and the boys finally drop that skin-care regime because we know you’ve been gagging to know the secret behind the glow. They talk about the pressure of being well-groomed as gay men and how some hetero Irish lads get away with murder and they also read out some horror stories in a section they’ve aptly named Beautiful Disasters. Ep 57 - A Queer Old Year
2020 is finally over and the lads couldn’t be more obsessed. But what exactly have they learned about themselves in the most chaotic year they’ve ever lived through? The boys start by reflecting on their resolutions from last year which are all laughable really but there is something to be said for Kevin’s prediction that it wasn’t going to be his year. They then recount the most implicitly queer moments of 2020; instances you didn’t know were très gay at first glance, but upon further reflection were actually as gay as a bottle of Super Rush in a young twink's spray-on Topman skinny jeans' pocket or PJ choosing a Prada clutch as his luxury item in a zombie apocalypse. Ep 56 - Make The Yuletide Gay
It’s the Christmas special nobody asked for but you’re getting anyway and what better way to spread some festive cheer than with some minimalist metallic nails that PJ got done in a fancy nail gaf in Soho. The lads waste no time and get straight into discussing iconic Christmas movies, gay gifts they wish they’d have had the courage to ask for when they were younger and the origins of Santa Claus, who we learn came from very humble beginnings in the country that is now Turkey but God knows what it was called at the time as PJ only watched snippets of a 15 minute video on Youtube. Ep 55 - Finbarry's Tea
It’s been an eventful week in the girlie’s gaf with Kevin ordering an antenna for the tv which means he can finally catch up on watching Tipping Point and The Chase, though PJ argues that The Cube is actually superior to both. Then they tackle the theme for this week which is unpopular opinions, prompted by PJ disclosing earlier in the week that he thinks some babies are ugly, a sentiment which Kevin disagrees with vehemently. They share their own unpopular opinions (which results in a fight over the name Finbarr) and give their take on some of the chaotic unpopular opinions sent in by listeners. One listener chimed in to say they think the phrase chaotic is overused which we think is chaotic. Sorry not sorry. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Ep 54 - Nouveau Riche
2020 has been a year of unexpected events but one thing we never could have predicted was Kevin going viral over a Percy Pig tweet. The lads discuss the pig pandemonium and the hype of last week’s toy show before addressing the theme for this week which is money. They talk money troubles, being poor paupers when first moving to London and panicking every time they had to pay for their grocery shopping, chaotic money splurges and the supposed greatest investment made by any child born in the 90's; the infamous Beanie Baby. Ep 53 - Capital Rude
In this episode the lads discuss PJ serving a look with his new pearl necklace which has left Dot Cotton off Corrie shaking and also leads them to talk about Harry Styles’ recent Vogue cover. The lads then explore going with your gut and making decisions in an age where we are overwhelmed with options which leads to choice paralysis which is PJ's favourite term ever. Then, to make the episode more fully-rounded and because they’re in the mood to have a skit, they play a game of ‘Would You Rather’ and the girlies did not disappoint with the chaotic submissions. Ep 52 - Two Gays Walk into a Bar
Christmas is fast approaching and as the festive season is known as being a period of overindulgence and drinking loads, the lads decide to dedicate an entire episode to alcohol. The Irish have a reputation for being fond of the drink and Kevin and PJ look into this stereotype and discuss whether it applies to them or not. They recall their first experiences drinking alcohol, determine what your choice of drink says about you (for them their go to is a gin and slim tonic which implies that they’re both raging homosexuals much to everyone’s surprise) and give a definitive list of top tier hangover munch. If you are concerned about your own or a loved one’s drinking head to https://www.drinkaware.ie/support-services for further information and a list of support services in Ireland.Link to our iconic hoodies: https://everpress.com/im-grand-mam-hoodie Hosted on Acast. Ep 51 - GAA(y)
It’s only November but the lads don’t have a whole lot to be looking forward to so they start discussing the Christmas adverts that have already made an appearance on tv screens. They then turn their attention to sport and the relationship LGBTQ+ people have with sport and some of the queer trailblazers who’ve paved the way on the pitch. They also give their hot takes on chaotic PE teachers, rank the gayest sports in existence and do an interview with Luke Nolan, one of the co-founders of Na Gaeil Aeracha (IG: @rainbowgaels), Ireland’s first explicitly queer-inclusive GAA team - we love to see it. Ep 50 - Golden Gays
It’s the first week of the second lockdown but the lads are in flying form as they’re celebrating their fiftieth episode. However, they very nearly didn’t make it this far as we learn from a chaotic voice note which Kevin sent PJ after they released the very first episode. They take a look back at previous episodes and talk about their fave moments from I’m Grand Mam to date and play messages from listeners all over the world sharing why they tune in every week. They then reveal gifts they got for each other to commemorate the occasion. Pop the prosecco and take out the telescopes girlies, it’s time to celebrate. Hosted on Acast. Ep 49 - It's The Smell For Me
Kevin and PJ are happy to report back that following last weeks brief rendezvous with a ouija board that they haven’t had any further encounters with chaotic spirits. They discuss the closure of the iconic middle aisle in Lidl and Aldi and prompted by a challenge on The Glow Up (which Kevin is obsessed with btw), they explore fears and phobias. From dreading car journeys with their friends’ dads when they were young to having to repeat a supposedly funny story to a randomer, the lads tackle their fears head on. But will PJ be able to face his greatest fear of all? Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Ep 48 - A Stunning, Spooky Séance
The lads start off by reacting to the news that Pope Francis is a huge fan of the podcast and has decided to back same-sex civil unions - work papa! Then, prompted by an ick thread on twitter, Kevin and PJ give an account of things that give them the ick. Hufflepuff gays you’ve been warned. Then, as it’s Halloween, the lads have chosen crossing-over as the theme for the week and attempt to have a skit with a few spirits by using a Ouija board. Cue chaos. Though they were hoping to make a connection with the likes of Lady Diana and Fungie, they actually end up having an ethereal encounter with the Michael Collins magnet on their fridge. Ep 47 - Arty Farty
The boys haven’t seen much of each other this week which Kevin thinks is a good thing as absence makes the heart grow fonder and it means they’ve loads of catching up to do. Kevin tells us about a recent traumatic run where he popped the bubble in his Air Max runners and PJ shares an encounter he had with a woman who was pure hungry so he got her a fry up. Then prompted by Fatima looking to retrain in cyber security and Rishi being annoying, the lads turn their attention to the arts and discuss how important it is in our lives. From dates at the Tate to getting locked at the theatre, life on Earth sans art would just be ‘eh’. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Ep 46 - Soggy Bottoms
This week the boys start off by revealing the results of the poll they did to see who opens the window before a shower and who opens it afterwards and it’s fair to say Kevin is raging. They also detail a recent fight they had which they had to overcome quite quickly as they were being interviewed by the iconic Miriam O’ Callaghan the next morning. Then to lighten the mood and in an effort to lift the listener’s and their own spirits, the lads read out some anonymous confessions and are left shaking. There’s some good, some bad and some that are just downright chaotic. And that’s clickbait girlies x Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Ep 45 - Yeah, But Is It French?
A local cat has gone missing in the area so Kevin and PJ start off by making an appeal to the public for the misplaced kitty. This leads to the pair uncovering some of their most irrational fears surrounding going missing or being kidnapped. They then turn their attention to iconic duos and for once and for all disclose the full details about how they met and became friends when they were both young closeted twinks with dodgy quiffs. They also talk about other iconic duos that have made a massive impact on their lives such as a packet of Chipstix with a can of Club Orange. Hosted on Acast. Ep 44 - Tents, Tents, Tents Across The Board
No one could have predicted this year to turn out the way it has, not even Rosemary the psychic from episode 23 knew how chaotic it was going to be. To ensure they’re well equipped to withstand any more extreme occurrences 2020 has to throw at them such as a zombie apocalypse or Mr Brightside reentering the charts, Kevin and PJ take to a tent to test their survival skills. Will PJ’s history with the scouts give him an upper hand in the wild? Will sudocreme prove to be a shrewd choice of luxury item for Kevin? Will they even last the night? It’s all v in tents girlies. From school musicals where Kevin downplayed Alexandra Burke’s Bad Boys choreography and PJ gave a questionable rendition of Careless Whisper, to living their bad bitch CEO Dragons Den fantasy with the mini-company, TY truly was the year the gays thrived. They speak about feeling pure awkward around their dads when they were younger watching matches on tv that they had no interest in, the struggle of having their dads help them with their homework bits and their dads being allies. They also wish a happy Fathers Day to some of the other zaddies in the world and read out some stories from listeners about how their iconic dads showed up for the LGBTQ+ community. Hosted on Acast. Then the lads begin chatting about genetic bits as they were sent DNA kits that they had to spit into and send away but they’re a small bit up to 90 because they didn’t really read the final print so they’re afraid they could be cloned but they also think that could be kind of glam to have gorgey gay clones of themselves. The theme for this years #mentalhealthawarenessweek is kindness and though the lads are fairly good at being nice to others and being everyone’s biggest hype girlies, sometimes being kind to themselves doesn’t come as easy. To try and get better at this they call on the help of behavioural change specialist and full-time glam bitch Shahroo Izadi (IG: @shahroo_izadi) who is also the author of ‘The Kindness Method’, a book which details a new approach to driving positive change by being more sound to yourself. *yawns* As a fatigued Anastacia once said ‘I’m sick and tired of always being sick and tired.’ In this episode the lads talk about the fact that no one is getting any sleep at the moment and how as a result everyone looks bate and there’s nothing anyone can do about it because mercury is hanging around in retrograde like a bad smell. They talk about nightmares that haunted them in their childhood, how to combat exhaustion as a busy gay man in London and they also rank their favourite type of naps. Hosted on Acast.
