George Harrison doc was great in Graham's eyes. Deadpool PG-13 trailer is hilarious. New Lion King looks promising. This episode is #notmytorture

Chris saw some cool films at Shriekfest. Each new Auqamnan trailer makes it harder and harder to get excited. Chris wants Overkill to be great, Graham not so much. This episode is the final Wrong Turn of podcasts. 

*FILMS DISCUSSED: SOMM, THE HOUSE WITH THE CLOCK IN ITS WALLS, QUINCY, RBG, X-MEN DARK PHOENIX, HOLMES AND WATSON* Graham and Chris welcome Patrick Ney. Patrick talks about being a comic and a wine sommelier that relates to the doc Somm. Chris found Clock in its Walls to be very uneven. Graham likes Quincy the doc about Quincy Jones. All three not convinced the new X-Men film is going to be any good. Holmes and Watson look like a train wreck. This episode has oaky after tones with a smooth finish.

Laura was let down by A Quiet Place. Graham cried at the sports film Miracle Season. Laura talks about her favorite horror films. Oceans 8 and The Meg have fun trailers. Bring it!

Graham liked watching Battle of The Sexes on a Plane. Chris wants Netflix to stop making bad films like Cloverfield Paradox. Solo trailer looks good and everyone is as excited about new Mission Impossible as Aaron is. It's the Ras Al Ghoul of episodes.

Graham found Roman J. Israel very uneven. Bullet Head trailer makes no sense at all. While Rampage has the charm of The Roc going for it. This episode will make you want to call Brenton by his brothers name. 

Graham and Chris welcome filmmaker and comic Mike Young. Mike and Graham talk about the scams they ran as college kids. Mike tells us about the films he's directed. Chris and Graham talk about movies that slipped through the cracks.

I Tonya looks great. New Downsizing trailer makes the film seem more interesting. Big list of DVD/VOD releases which makes the new releases seem less horrible. An episode that's better than a limo ride.

Chris didn't really like Ninjago. Graham was bored with Kingsman. Ron liked the non-hollywoodness of Stronger. Two part 3's that should join forces. Nothing good on DVD but Tom Cruise is back to sell cocaine! A Rage filled ipecac for listening! 

*FILMS DISCUSSED: MOTHER, AMERICAN ASSASSIN, THE SHAPE OF WATER, DOWNSIZING* Graham and Chris welcome first time guest, Megan Gailey. Megan and Chris were both shocked by Mother. Graham found American Assassin to be good spy fun. The Shape of Water has a new trailer making it look even better. Downsizing had all three intrigued. Two good DVD/VOD in Wonder Woman and The Big Sick. Make sure to snack early for this ep!

Dave and Chris liked IT just a little bit more than Graham. Everyone is confused by Hulk talking in new Thor trailer. Fifty Shades looks like a Bourne film with S and M.  Some good choices on DVD this week and then two films that can be better than expected. This ep will make you go down into the sewers.

*FILMS DISCUSSED: DEATH NOTE, GOOK, THE SNOWMAN, HOME AGAIN, IT* Chris and Graham welcome back Shawn Marek onto the nerd garage. All three were confused by Death Note. Graham liked the indie film Gook. Shawn was mildly amused by The Layover. The Snowman looks interesting. Home Again made Chris excited while Graham will avoid it. Not great DVDs but IT looks like a great horror film! This ep comes with it's own Death God. 

*FILMS DISCUSSED: DAVE MADE A MAZE, PATTI CAKES, GIFTED AND MORE* Graham and Chris welcome back Kevin Avery into the ATC studios. Chris like how inventive Dave Made A Maze was. Kevin like Patti Cakes because it reminded him of his rap days. Graham was touched by Gifted. Death Note made Graham stand alone and inspired a spoiler ep. A lot of indie film talk as no big releases are out. This ep will make you want to add supreme to the end of your name. 

*FILMS DISCUSSED: LOGAN LUCKY, DUNKIRK, WIND RIVER, MOLLY'S GAME, REMEMORY* Chris and Graham are back in the nerd garage with Dennis Gubbins! (ATC had some tech issues but that won't stop us) Chris was let down by Logan Lucky, Dennis and Chris finally saw Dunkirk and liked it as much as Graham did. Graham wants you to see Wind River. Everyone is excited for Molly's Game and so-so on Rememory. It's wonderful to sleep with t-shirts again!

Chris was bewildered by Kung Fu Yoga. Jessica was not ready for Ingrid Goes West. Graham found enlightenment in The Last Dalai Lama. An episode that will make you be a better person and have Lacrosse legs.

Chris was the only person with an expectation of The Dark Tower being any good. Graham was very surprised at how much he liked Kidnap. Chris and Mike were blown away at how good Detroit was. Two good trailers and much much more! Episodes like this are only summoned by demons!

Graham was inspired by Inconvenient Sequel. Chris found Atomic Blonde a little uneven but overall good. The Big Sick is a really good film in Graham's eyes. Ready Player One trailer looks like Spielberg is in rare form. Suburbicon trailer has everyone a little cautious. One good DVD and then two different films in theaters this weekend. This episode is like a loyal boyfriend or girlfriend.

While Birth Of The Dragon could be too much hollywoodery. An episode from the sands of time.

The two Ben's discuss putting Thrilling Adventure Hour on hiatus and writing comics. Everyone liked the new Spider-Man film. A debate on whether Geostorm will be fun bad or just bad. This episode is like asking the Hulk to not punch you in the face for $50.

Sandberg, into the ATC studio. Chris expectations of Transformers were very low and still not met. Graham is glad woman can now make lame comedies like men have. David liked the visuals of The Bad Batch. Chris was happy with the simplicity of Paterson. Graham still isn't sure about Beatriz at Dinner. David talks about the making of Annabelle. This  episode is like a Battle of The Sexes for films! 

*FILMS DISCUSSED: THE HERO, TICKLED, JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK, SNATCHED, FLATLINERS, GOODBYE CHRISTOPHER ROBIN* Graham and Chris welcome first time guest, Nikki Glaser, into the ATC magic castle. Graham felt a little let down by The Hero. Nikki was captivated by the doc Tickled. Chris found Justice League Dark to be uneven. Nikki had some great insight about a rough cut of Snatched. Flatliner's trailer looks silly. Goodbye Christopher Robin trailer is hard to figure out. DVDs are Transforming you to see The Big Sick in theaters. An episode that even a cranky Batman will enjoy.

Everyone is kinda curious about Mummy Impossible and for cocaine season to start. This episode will not let you tell it what to do!

Erik talks about his new gig on Showtime, I'm Dying Up Here. Chris was disappointed with Pirates. Erik had low expectations with King Arthur which made it ok. Chris found War Machine uneven. Graham liked some things about Christine but it was too slow until he got lost in nextflix Christmas movies. Emoji is another kid film that will do well. Ok DVDs and then will DC finally get it right with Wonder Woman?? An episode for the ages. 

*FILMS DISCUSSED: ALIEN: COVENANT, SNATCHED, MIFUNE: THE LAST SAMURAI, TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST ASSHOLES, THE GLASS CASTLE* Graham and Chris welcome first time guest, Amy Miller into ATC HQ. Graham and Chris split on Alien. Amy thinks Snatched is a fine film with wine. Graham nerded out on the Mifune doc. Transformers trailer is longer than the film. Glass Castle is an odd choice. Several good films out on DVD and a horrible weekend for new films. This is the best episode for an off brand Megan Fox.

Steve talks about his new stand-up comedy album, Alive on State Street and how King Arthur left him bored. Graham found Sleight to be Dope light. Chris liked the animated poetry of The Red Turtle. Surfing doc, Chasing The Lotus, is great for surfers like Graham but maybe not everyone else. New Planet Of The Apes trailer looks good while everyone is not sure about Wonder Woman. Will Alien be any good or does Wimpy Kid stay in an attic and watch his family. This ep is the final chapter!

Graham and Chris both really liked Guardians 2. David wants people to see Nocturnal Animals. Graham found a good PBS doc about Ruby Ridge. Dark Tower trailer left all three wondering if the film will be any good. Blade Runner 2049 full trailer raised many questions. This ep will make you want to ride a horse with a show saddle! 

*FILMS DISCUSSED: THE CIRCLE, BOSS BABY, SANDY WEXLER, 47 METERS DOWN, ONCE UPON A TIME IN VENICE* Chris and Graham welcome first time guest Steve Byrne into ATC Studios! Graham was not a fan of The Circle. Steve and his kid loved Boss Baby. Chris needed 3 days to watch Sandy Wexler. 47 Meters down is either a great wink at shark terror films or a disaster. Once Upon A Time In Venice might be suffering from bad trailer disease. Some good films out on DVD if you missed them. Even Chuck is going to see Guardians of The Galaxy 2 this weekend! This episode is really America's Julia Roberts. 

*FILMS DISCUSSED: THE FATE OF THE FURIOUS, COLOSSAL, POWER RANGERS, STAR WARS THE LAST JEDI, DETROIT, THE FOUNDER, PUNCHING HENRY* Chris and Graham welcome first time guest Troy Conrad into ATC studios. Troy talks about his unique show, Set List. Graham and Chris loved the dumb fun of Fast 8. Chris finally saw Power Rangers and found it to be all over the place. Troy didn't like Colossal until the end. Everyone is pumped for some Last Jedi. Detroit appears to be another solid film from Kathryn Bigelow. Punching Henry rounds out a good DVD list which makes the awful new releases not sting so much. This episode will have you realize that it's all about family...14 times. 

*FILMS DISCUSSED: YOUR NAME, PERSONAL SHOPPER, THIER FINEST, THOR: RAGNAROK, CHUCK, THE MUMMY* Graham and Chris welcome back Jordan Brady. Jordan talks about his new documentary, I Am Battle Comic. Chris loved the anime film Your Name. Graham likes the ghosts of Personal Shopper. Jordan enjoyed Their Finest. Thor trailer is getting everyone excited, while The Mummy looks like a waste of time. Two good Oscar films are out on DVD. If you like cars, submarines and ice then this weekend if for you! This ep will get you lost in the Amazon looking for a gifted kid. 

*FILMS DISCUSSED: T2 TRAINSPOTTING, I DONT FEEL AT HOME IN THE WORLD ANYMORE, GIMME DANGER, IT, MACK WELDON* Chris and Graham welcome first time guests Leah Tiscione and Dino Stamatopoulos. They talk about their graphic novel Trent. Graham found T2 to be just ok. Leah and Dino liked the Iggy Pop documentary, Gimme Danger. Chris was pleased with indie film, I Don't Feel At Home In This World Anymore. Graham was the only one scared by the It trailer. Everyone is excited for new Planet of The Apes film. Rouge One is the only DVD to concern yourself with. A colossal blue style jesus is opening in theaters. The ultimate Bergman episode.

*FILMS DISCUSSED: POWER RANGERS, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, LIFE, JUSTICE LEAGUE, SPIDERMAN: HOMECOMING* Chris and Graham welcome first time guest, Riley Silverman into the ATC studios. Riley liked Power Rangers for what it was. Chris and his family found Beaty and The Beast to be ok but not better than the original. Graham wished Life never made it into movie theaters. Two super hero trailers that show the difference between DC and Marvel. One good monster of a DVD and no earthly reason to see new releases. This episode will make you want to drain the tent! 

*FILMS DISCUSSED: BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, THE GIRL WITH ALL THE GIFTS, GET OUT, BELKO EXPERIMENT, COCO, DESPICABLE ME 3* Chris and Graham welcome first time guest, Ramon Rivas II. Graham liked Beauty and The Beast even though the movie was not for him. Chris liked low budget horror film, The Girl With All The Gifts. Ramon was happy he saw Get Out. Graham is all about Belko Experiment. Ramon saw two Elijah Wood classics. Coco trailer gave all three hope while no one is that pumped to see Despicable Me 3. Not sure what anyone can do with the lame slate of DVDs and new releases this week. An episode for all those who want a real life The Purge.

Paul talks about why documentaries are his favorite genre. Decent DVD and in theaters this week. An episode that encourages you to go up the river to battle demons.

Graham enjoyed and was informed by Noam Chomsky's Requiem For The American Dream. Chris had good things to say about Hidden Figures. Bert comes out of the M. Night closet and talks about Lady In The Water. Catfight is the best trailer out right now! Some good DVDs and new releases. This ep will make you cry on a plane!

She talks about not playing Zoe in the new 24. Chris didn't like Trespass, Mary Lynn liked Natalie Portman in Jackie but the rest fell flat. Graham and Chris split on The Founder. Graham explains how good Lion is. Oscar nominations came out. Logan trailer looks good and Power Rangers is cat nip for boys. Weird DVD assortment and don't see A Dog's Purpose. This ep will make you want to live like a British Hillbilly.

Graham and Annabelle tell Chris about Casey Affleck's horrible behavior after he says he liked Manchester by The Sea. Annabelle was inspired by the Tony Robbins doc. Graham thought Fences had great performances. Everyone is happy that Resident Evil is still going. Real tough DVD choices and fake beards and haircuts in theaters. This ep will make you want to teach finance classes in a theater!

Chip's enjoyment of biopics made The Founder a good watch. Three trailers that make next summer look fun and more! I think some kind of spaceship film is coming out this weekend but not sure...

Graham and Cecily both found Allied to be a C+ at best.  Silence and The Mummy look like ridiculous nonsense while GOTG 2 is going to be awesome! Only one logical DVD choice this week and three solid films in theaters! This episode is the Fastest and Mummiest of all shows!

A nice list of trailers to discuss, which is good since DVDs are lame. Good Veterans Day movie and book along with two good films coming out in theaters. Let's hope this episode isn't rigged!

Chris and Graham split on Magnificent 7. Chris found Miss Peregrine's to be better than the book. Karen talks about being a ghost hunter and what are the best and worst paranormal films. Stephen talks about his We Hate Movies podcast and The Anaconda museum. Graham liked Snowden even with #JGL doing a weird voice. Stephen and Chris were really disappointed with Blair Witch. Cartel Land gave Graham some sobering information as a good doc can. Miss Sloane looks good and why in sweet Christmas is there a Fifty Shades sequel?  This ep tastes better than a freshly baked Romanian Molly!

*FILMS DISCUSSED: SULLY, FOR THE LOVE OF SPOCK, STAR TREK II: THE WRATH OF KHAN, SKIPTRACE* Chris and Graham welcome back Chris Gore in the the weight bench hut. Graham and Gore really liked Sully and Clint Eastwood. Mancini found For The Love Of Spock to be a nice doc about Leonard Nimoy. Graham saw Wrath of Khan on the big screen and it started a big discussion about why the JJ Abrams Star Treks fall short. Mancini was dumbfounded by Skiptrace. Some good trailers and DVD's then cover up your webcam's cause Snowden comes to town! An episode that is best served cold!

Cash talks about doing his podcast with TJ Miller, Cashing In With TJ Miller, at LA Podfest. Graham and Chris had fun watching a move as bad as Morgan. Graham liked Carlos but found it a little long. Mascots and Max Steel don't look great and neither do some new DVDs. Sully lands (get it?) in theaters and more! This episode will make you want to sneak into the Super Bowl.

Chris found The Sea Of Trees to be ok until the dumb ending. Graham had some laugh out loud moments during Bad Moms. Shawn found The Hollars to be adequate. Graham was pleasantly surprised by Hands of Stone. One silly horror film trailer then Shawn talks about the LA Podfest preview night at the Hollywood Improv September 22 and more! This ep will make you walk the desert without shoes looking for comic books. 

*MOVIES DISCUSSED: WAR DOGS, KUBO AND THE TWO STRINGS, SAUSAGE PARTY, ARRIVAL, BAD SANTA 2* Chris and Graham welcome first time guest Julia Prescott.  Julia talks about her Everything's Coming Up Podcast, about the Simpsons and being in LA Podfest. Julia then talks about the by-the-numbers disappointment of War Dogs. Graham and Chris really liked Kubo which reminded Julia that she didn't like Sausage Party. Everyone is excited about the Arrival trailer and more! If family members are trying to take your eyes, then this ep might help.

Samuel talks about doing film restoration and the detective work involved. Chris found Pete's Dragon to be a by-the-numbers kids film. Graham liked Hell or High Water. Samuel thought The Shallows was good summer fun. Cafe Society was just ok for Chris. Samuel enjoyed Nerve even with a weird audience demographic when he saw it. Two really good trailers came out with Rogue One and Dunkirk, which is good since new DVDs are useless. Bizarre lineup getting released in theaters this week. This episode is like playing a video game while being chased by a shark.

*FILMS DISCUSSED: JASON BOURNE, SUICIDE SQUAD, GHOSTBUSTERS, THE GREAT WALL, OFFICE CHRISTMAS PARTY* Chris and Graham are lucky Jackie Kashian lives close! Graham found Jason Bourne to be a serviceable food movie. Chris thought Suicide  Squad was a mess and Jackie brought some DC comics that would make a better movie. Graham found Ghostbusters to be funny and didn't understand why people got mad. Bad DVDs and many options to see rather than Suicide Squad. This ep is Lord of The Bourne!

Betsy met the guys at SF Doc Fest and talks about a cool surfer doc she saw there. Chris saw Ghostbusters and liked it but didn't feel the same about Secret Life of Pets. Graham likes the social commentary of Purge: Election Year even if it's brutal. Betsy talks about her doc on Boyle Heights, East LA Interchange and the 10 years it took to make it. Also Betsy talks about Summertime a French film she watched at Out Fest LA. This ep is like a baguette and celery. 

*FILMS DISCUSSED: INDEPENDENCE DAY, GHOSTBUSTERS, THE BFG, JACK REACHER* Chris and Graham welcome back Tom Merritt. Chris and Graham didn't realize that Independence Day could be worse than their low expectations. Tom liked Ghostbusters and felt the trailers are misleading. Chris was disappointed by The BFG, but his kids liked it. Graham is the only one pumped for the new Jack Reacher film and is Never Going Back!! DVDs that can clean clothes and more! This ep is like a cuff link country club.

*FILMS DISCUSSED: FINDING DORY, SURFWISE, DE PALMA, WEINER, OJ MADE IN AMERICA*  Chris and Graham welcome back Wayne Federman. Chris liked Finding Dory on father's day. Graham was intrigued by the doc Surfwise. Wayne has been on a doc tear and saw three good films: De Palma, OJ:Made in America and Weiner. Weird looking trailers with one DVD stand-out. Independence Day: Resurgence is in theaters with sharks and a white guy helping to free slaves, so choose wisely. This ep will make you want to unpack your life.

*FILMS DISCUSSED: NOW YOU SEE ME 2, TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES, TICKLED* Chris and Graham welcome another first time guest! Former rapper and current podcaster Jensen Karp tells the guys about his new book and more. Graham was bored and annoyed by Now You See Me 2. Chris found the new TMNT film to be slightly better than the last. Jensen loves the new doc, Tickled. All three are not sure about Tarzan trailer. Some good DVDs and one interesting doc in theaters. This ep will make you want to get your money back from Kanye West.

*FILMS DISCUSSED: POP STAR, SF DOC FEST SHORT FILMS, EL CHIVO, FUTURE OF WORK AND DEATH, DWARVENAUT* Chris and Graham record from a hotel in the Bay Area with Mike Schmidt. Chris and Graham liked Pop Star more than they thought they would. Chris saw some cool short documentaries. Mike and Graham were really drawn in by the running doc, El Chivo. Chris and Graham found Future of Work and Death to get a little repetitive. Mike didn't like Dwarenaut as much as Chris and Graham did. It was a good talk about some interesting docs at the SF Doc Fest. This ep will make you want to run up a hill with a tire sandal.

Graham was just so-so about The Nice Guys. Chris thought Michael Moore's new film, Where to Invade Next, had some good insight but not his best film. Jay talks about how great the experience was of acting on the film, The Invitation. All three talk about how silly the Ghostbusters controversy is. Bad DVDs and then X-Men! This ep will make you want to go to jail!

Graham was bored with Money Monster. Chris was disappointed with High Rise. Tim loved the BASE Jumping Doc, Sunshine Superman. Interesting trailers. So-so DVDs and some great reasons to see Civil War again. Now GET OFF MY LAWN!

Josh was amazed by the CG in both Civil War and Jungle Book. Graham saw the new Point Break on a plane and now wants to buy a GoPro. Chris saw a DVD of Kurosawa's Stray Dog from 1949. A couple more good DVDs and a big question mark about new Clooney film in theaters. Or jut see Civil War again.

Do Graham and Chris throw Dana Gould shirts at her or does she convince them it wasn't that bad! Listen and find out!

Chris likes Linklater films but Everybody Wants Some had a few good moments but fell a little short. Graham loved Don Cheadle's Miles Davis biopic, Miles Ahead. Chris and CJ thoroughly enjoyed the indie thriller, The Invitation. CJ talks about a cool movie book by Illiana Douglas called, I Blame Dennis Hopper. CJ also found MR. Right to be good fun, although not perfect. Good Justice League DVD and dealers choice in theaters. Put this ep in a field and wait for the FBI.

Jay and Micah talk about their new horror comedy They're Watching. Solid DVDs this week and two out of four films look good in theaters. A perfect episode to calm your nerd rage or have a pointless dream sequence.

Ok DVDs and two very different films in theaters. This film will give you reason to smoke weed for PTSD and fight a guy from another planet. 

*FILMS DISCUSSED: 10 CLOVERFIELD LANE, CROUCHING TIGER 2: HIDDEN BULLSHIT, CHRIS NOLAN FILMS* Chris and Graham welcome first time guest Shane Mauss. Chris and Graham both liked 10 Cloverfield. Shane and Chris found the Crouching Tiger sequel to be silly. Shane talks about his favorite Christopher Nolan films. Many Oscar films on DVD and some weird choices in theaters. This is the episode to listen too if John Goodman is your dad in a bunker.

Chris and Graham spilt on Tina Fey's new film. Chris and his family liked Zootopia. Greg like Nina Simone doc but wanted a little more. Greg talks about going to Turner Classic Movie Fest. Jackie Kashian gives us a SpareMin on Deadpool. Odd choices for DVD and in theaters. This ep will make you want to bleed in the Balkins! 

The 88th Oscar Awards are over so Chris and Graham are going to break it down. They have colorist Tawan Bazemore on to discuss how Chris Rock handled the race issue, upsets and more.  Also Tawan explains what the color correction process is in post production of filmmaking and specifically what he has done for Ear Buds.  This ep will make you want to fight a bear.

Oscar liked the graphic novel and was happy with the casting. Oscar was blown away by The Revenant. Oscar also talks about filming the new Baywatch movie and working in a mine on The 33. Good DVDs this week and maybe some sleeper hits in theaters. You will want to ride a train with Ernest Borgnine after listening to this ep.

*FILMS DISCUSSED: THE DANISH GIRL, ANOMOLISA, BIG SHORT, OBVIOUS CHILD* Chris and Graham welcome back podcaster Alison Rosen. Graham is disappointed with Danish Girl and the Oscars. Chris was intrigued by Anomolisa. Alison found The Big Short to be informative. Alison also talks about her favorite rom-coms and some guilty pleasures. Two good DVDs and more reason to see films that should have been nominated in theaters this weekend. This ep will make you want to have puppet sex. 

*FILMS DISCUSSED: CONCUSSION, ATTACK ON TITAN, MAZE RUNNER SCORCH TRIALS, ROAD CHIP* Chris and Graham welcome back Kira Soltanovich to the nerd box. Graham thought Concussion should have received some Oscar Nominations. Chris asks you to do homework before watching Attack On Titan. Kira gave Alvin and the Chipmunks: Road Chip a big thumbs up for sleeping. Chris couldn't understand Scorch Trials. Some good and some dumb on DVD. Also perfect time to watch all the Oscar films as new releases are useless. This is the Woodpecker of all episodes! 

*FILMS DISCUSSED: THE BIG SHORT, THE HATEFUL EIGHT, THE REVENANT, STAR WARS* Chris and Graham welcome back Matt Belknap into the weight bench office. Graham and Matt both like Big Short but can't remember what Margot Robbie said. Chris did not like Hateful Eight as much as Graham. The Reverent made Graham want to kill a bear and sleep in it. More discussion about Star Wars and George Lucas feeling like a billionaire slave. Horrible DVDs and many reasons to find Golden Globe winners and future Oscar noms in theaters. This episode will make you want bird pizza!

Graham found Clouds to be an ok indie film.  Chris wanted Bone Tomahawk to be better but still found parts of it entertaining. Chris had a blast at Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios. 2 of 3 good DVDs and 007 in back!! This ep will make you want to fly across the world to do a bar gig.

Wayne was loving Green Inferno and how sensitive Graham is. Wayne talks about his new comedy album. Ok DVDs and maybe one good film in theaters. This episode will make you eat hippies. 

*FILMS DISCUSSED: THE MARTIAN, SICARIO, PAN* Chris and Graham welcome back Frank Woodward and first time guest Jack Bennett.  Both guys are filmmakers and horror fans. Graham, Chris and Frank all liked The Martian. Graham is happy when Emily Blunt is a bad ass like in Sicario. Chris hated Pan. Stefanie tells us what kids movies she liked this year.  One good DVD and two stupid ones. New releases are useless.  This ep will make you want to get a nice mid shoe.

Steele thinks Batkid is a must watch film.  Chris wanted more war and less Lassie in Max.  Graham thought Inside Out was just OK.  Long talks about the Star Wars panel at Comic-con and the new Superman vs Batman trailer.  This ep will make you want to buy Barry Manalow albums.

Filip was intrigued by the documentay about the Soviet Hockey team, Red Army.  Chris and Filip discuss why Ingmar Bergman films are so good, even without the sun.  Filip talks about his new doc, Nice People coming out this fall.  Poor choices for DVD and two wildly different films in theaters this weekend.  This ep will make you want to buy a white tiger.

All three liked Jurassic even with its many flaws.  Graham liked Love & Mercy, the Brian Wilson story.  Also all three are still perplexed by how bad Chappie was.  A nice kids film this weekend and Al Pacino phoning in a paycheck.  This ep will make you buy tickets to Buccaneer Savage.

*FILMS DISCUSSED: ENTOURAGE, A GIRL WALKS HOME ALONE AT NIGHT, ALL THIS MAYHEM* First time guest, Christina Pazsitzky comes into Nerd HQ to talk about her two podcasts and more.  Graham liked Entourage, but only because he liked the series.  Chris found the film A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night to be a nice indie vampire film.  Christina really liked the skateboard doc, All This Mayhem. Christina also talks about why she likes Wes Anderson and vampires.  Not great DVDs this week but always fun watching dinosaurs eat people in theaters.  This ep will make you fight an old guy in a chair.

*FILMS DISCUSSED: SAN ANDREAS, ALHOA, ROAD WARS, SMOKEY AND THE BANDIT* Chris and Graham welcome first time guest Ryan Sickler into the nerd garage. Graham was ok with The Roc fighting the earth.  Ryan and Graham found Aloha to be horrible. Chris was disappointed by Road Wars.  Ryan showed his step-son why Smokey and The Bandit is great.  Bad week for DVDs and some good options in theaters.  This ep will make you want to comit a B&E in the first 11 minutes.

*FILMS DISCUSSED: TOMORROWLAND, THE FORGER, BATTERED BASTARDS OF BASEBALL, JOE* Chris and Graham welcome back comic Gary Brightwell into Nerd HQ.  Chris liked Tomorrowland a little more than Graham.  Gary was disappointed by the Forger. Graham and Gary loved the doc, The Battered Bastards of Baseball. Gary talks about why he likes courtroom dramas and all three learn the difference between a Class and Civil action. Only one good film on DVD and two wildly different looking dissapointments in theaters.  This ep will make you want to start a Family Business.

*FILMS DISCUSSED: MAD MAX, I AM BIG BIRD, TCM FESTIVAL*  Chris and Graham welcome back nerd writer Allan Havey to the nerd garage.  Chris and Graham both really liked Mad Max.  Chris like the I am Big Bird story but thought the filmmakers could have done a little more.  Then Allan talks about the TCM Festival and how great it was working on Mad Men.  Mixed bag of DVDs and then Tomorrowland in theaters and some other remake nonsense.  This ep will make you want to change your name and move to New York. 

*FILMS DISCUSSED: EVERLY, HOT PURSUIT, THE WATER DIVINER* Chris and Graham welcome first time guest and podcaster, Kristen Carney.  Kristen talks about her podcast Ask Women and why she wishes her parents took her to tour a concentration camp as a child. Chris thought Everly was crazy fun.  Kristen was surprised she liked Hot Pursuit.  Graham was let down by Russell Crowe's The Water Diviner.  Mixed bag in DVDs and two good films in theaters this week.  This episode will make you want to watch Good Morning Vietnam, just for the love story.

KEY PLOT POINTS OF FILM, INCLUDING ENDING WILL BE DISCUSSED* Film Nerd Jackie Kashian comes into the Nerd Garage to talk about why the Avengers movie was great!  We all loved it even with some slight nick picky things.  Don't worry nerds it's pure comic film love in the gargolyle garage for this ep!

*FILMS DISCUSSED: AVENGERS, THE KINGDOM OF DREAMS AND MADNESS, THE SECRET OF KELLS, STAR WARS TRAILER* Chris and Graham talk about having guests cancel last minute and why they liked the Avengers.  Chris wanted a little more from the studio Ghibli documentary.  Graham actually liked the new 3D they used for Ultron.  Some good DVDs and then a Hot Pursuit of stupid!  All this in your ears for free!

*FILMS DISCUSSED: AGE OF ADALINE, UNFRIENDED, ADULT BEGINNERS, TRON, THE BLACK HOLE* Chris and Graham welcome first time guest Chris Denson.  Denson talks about his tech/marketing podcast Innovation Crush.  Graham liked Age of Adaline even with some predictabiltiy.  Unfriended is interesting but Graham needs help.  Denson found Adult Beginners funny and interesting.  Mancini saw Tron and Black Hole on the big screen and was taken back to his insane youth.  Ok week for DVDs and some kind of cape film is out this weekend.  The Avengemen...or average men.  Anyway something like that is in theaters this weekend.

*FILMS DISCUSSED: WE COULD BE KING, THE BABADOOK, THE TALE OF THE PRINCESS KAGUYA, THE HOMESMAN* Chris and Graham welcome back nerd writer, Dean Haglund.  Graham found the Tribecca doc, We Could Be King, excellent.  Chris enjoyed The Babadook.  Dean was blown away at how bad The Homesman was.  Chris liked The Tale of the Princess Kaguya.  Dean talks about moving to Australia and his film The Lady Killers.  Some ok DVDs and indie films in Theaters.  This episode is better than a 100 day gun fight!

*FILMS DISCUSSED: EX MACHINA, DANNY COLLINS, ATARI: GAME OVER, MISERY LOVES COMEDY* Chris and Graham welcome back comic/director Kevin Pollak. Graham loved Ex Machina. Kevin loves doing Al Pacino impressions to show how annoying Danny Collins was. Chris enjoyed Atari: Game Over but wanted a little more.  Kevin talks about his new documentary Misery Loves Comedy.  A few good DVD choices and great reasons to buy Kevin's film on itunes because a Mall Cop has invaded your local theater.  This episode is as good as Christopher Walken doing an ad read.

*FILMS DISCUSSED: WOMAN IN GOLD, FURIOUS 7 (AGAIN), TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES, A MOST VIOLENT YEAR* Chris and Graham welcome back Chris Gore.  Graham liked Woman in Gold.  Gore talks about his kickstarter to bring back Film Threat, which helped Mancini and Elwood early in their filmmaking careers.  Gore gives good Star Wars intel. Some really good DVDs and then one good film in theaters. This ep will make you want to polish your man face.

*FILMS DISCUSSED: FURIOUS 7, GOING CLEAR, 30 FOR 30 OF MIRACLES AND MEN* Chris and Graham welcome back Matt Mira into the Nerd garage.  All three loved Furious 7.  Matt was blown away by the realities of Scientology in Going Clear.  Graham loved hearing about the 1980 Miracle on Ice from the Russian view in Miracles and Men.  Matt gives some great insider info on the newest James Bond film.  Some solid DVDs this week and good car counter programming in theaters.  This ep will make you realize the importance of FAMILY.

*FILMS DISCUSSED: RUN ALL NIGHT, 71, SECOND BEST EXOTIC MARIGOLD HOTEL, HONEST LIAR* Chris and Graham welcome back Australian nerd writer, CJ Johnson.  CJ really liked 71.  Graham thought the old man performances in Run All Night were great. Chris was disappointed by the Halo film.  CJ found Honest Liar to be a good doc. So-so DVDs this week and not much in theaters.  This ep will make you want to wear a protien shirt.

*FILMS DUSCUSSED: CINDERELLA, PREDESTINATION, TANK GIRL* Chris and Graham welcome first time guest, Helen Hong, into the Nerd HQ.  Helen talks about her early comedy carrer in NYC.  Chris and his daughter liked Cinderella.  Helen found that Tank Girl did not hold up.  Graham and Chris both liked Predestination.  Then Helen talks about some of her favorite Sci-Fi films.  Only one good DVD and mixed bag in theaters.  This ep will make you want a new detergent to clean your loveless dog!

*FILMS DISCUSSED: CHAPPIE, PREDESTINATION, LIFE ITSELF* Chris and Graham welcome first time guest Tom Merritt into Nerd HQ. Chris and Graham both thought Chappie was a complete mess.  Tom really liked Predestination. Graham wants all of you to watch Life Itself. Not great DVDs and one more Taken film in theaters. This ep will make you want to fight a robot army. 

*FILMS DISCUSSED: SEVENTH SON, KINGSMAN, 50 SHADES OF GREY, CITIZEN FOUR, PBS DOC BUTCH CASSIDY AND SUNDANCE KID* Chris and Graham welcome back comedian/podcaster Jim Bruce.  Chris paid his debt to society by watching Seventh Son. Graham actually agreed with Chris that Kingsman went off track. Jim had unique reasons to not like 50 Shades. Graham reccomends a good doc about Butch and Sundance. Jim was scared by Citizen Four.  Two good DVDs and new releases! This ep will make you want to trust your government again!

*FILMS DISCUSSED: 50 SHADES OF GREY, THE LOFT, KINGSMAN* Chris and Graham welcome first time guest and comic Myq Kaplan.  Chris was dumbfounded by 50 Shades.  Graham could not stop watching how stupid The Loft was.  Myq really liked Kingsman but Chris was let down.  Myq talks about why he loves silly action movies.  Three Oscar films out on DVD and one big Hot Tub in theaters.  This ep will sink your battleship!

*FILMS DISCUSSED: STILL ALICE, SPONGEBOB MOVIE, KILL BILL VOL 1* Chris and Graham love Juliane Moore's performance in Still Alice while the rest of the film is decent.  Chris was just so-so on SpongeBob but it didn't matter because his son liked it.  Some real solid DVD choices and interesting programming in theaters.  This ep will make you want to buy flowers and chocolates for yourself!

*FILMS DISCUSSED: PROJECT ALMANAC, THE IMITATION GAME* Chris and Graham welcome back Grant Baciocco.  Grant talks about the early days of podcasting and meeting Stan Lee with his hands. Chris really liked The Imitation Game.  Graham and Grant were amazed at how stupid Porject Alamanac was.  Grant gives us his favorite puppet films.  Johnny Wick is on DVD and two really stupid films in theaters. This ep will make you travel in time to stop the first ever found footage film.

*FILMS DISCUSSED: AMERICAN SNIPER, CAKE, PADDINGTON, A MOST VIOLENT YEAR* Chris and Graham welcome back Laura House.  Graham and Chris both liked American Sniper but Laura liked Hurt Locker more.  Chris thought Paddington was a good kids movie.  Graham enjoyed Jennifer Aniston's performance in Cake.  Laura found A Most Violent Year to be a little slow.  Not great DVDs or new releases so brush up on your Oscar films!

Two out of four good DVDs this week and a mixed bag in theaters. Push and believe!

*FILMS DISCUSSED: THE HOBBITT, THE INTERVIEW, UNBROKEN* Chris and Graham welcome back Jimmy Dore into the nerd HQ.  Chris loved the new Hobbit while Graham celebrated that the series in finished.  Jimmy and Chris found some scenes in The Interview to be funny but the film was all over the place.  Graham liked the acting in Unbroken but wanted more.  Jimmy talks about his new book, Your Country Is Just Not That Into You and why the main stream media is stupid.  Some ok DVDs and then Taken 3! This episode has a certain set of skills...for your ears.

*FILMS DISCUSSED: INHERENT VICE, TOP 5, WILD, BIG EYES* Chris and Graham welcome Rich Sommer, who played Harry Crane on Mad Men.  Rich talks about what it was like making Mad Men and how Inherent Vice was funny at times but made no sense. Graham liked Wild. Chris was glad Tim Burton made Big Eyes.  Rich thought Top 5 was funny even when the serious acting fell short. Rich talks about why he loves board games and gets bullied into starting a boardgame podcast.  Not great DVDs but Christmas Day is filled with some solid films and Into the Woods. This episode will max out the Chirstolph Waltz accent intensity meter.

*FILMS DISCUSSED: THE EQUALIZER, CHEF* Chris and Graham welcome back Keith and The Girl.  Everyone was bored and annoyed by The Equalizer despite Denzel's efforts to make the film better.  Then all four talk about how much fun was had at LA Podfest.  Like watching the Ear Buds trailer and hearing how Chris got so drunk he threw up after the closing night party.  This is the gypsy roof of episodes.

*FILMS DISCUSSED: THIS IS WHERE I LEAVE YOU, THE MAZE RUNNER, BLENDED* Chris and Graham welcome comic Kira Soltanovich back to the nerd garage.  Kira liked the cast of This is Where I Leave you but the script, not so much.  Graham and Chris were both let down by Maze Runner.  Graham had to suffer through Blended on a plane. Kira talks about junk yard dogs and Graham's dating mistakes.  The ep will let the dogs out. (Todd Glass is still guilty)

*FILMS DISCUSSED: CALVARY, FRANK, BLUE RUIN, UNDER THE SKIN* Chris and Graham welcome nerd writer David Huntsberger back to the sweaty nerd cave.  Graham enjoyed Calvary even with some slow pacing.  Chris thought Frank missed a little but still good.  David enjoyed Blue Ruin even with some flaws.  David talks about his upcoming comedy special and the origins of #workit.  This ep will be easier on the ears than saying "oil tanker."

*FILMS DISCUSSED: HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 2, X-MEN, THE ROVER* Chris and Graham welcome first time guest writer Marc Guggenheim.  Marc talks about wrtitng for the TV show Arrow and why he loves comic books.  All three liked How to Train Your Dragon 2 (Graham more than Marc and Chris).  All three liked X-Men.  Chris and Graham both liked The Rover, even though it was slow paced.  Marc tries to defend Transformers...and fails.

*FILMS DISCUSSED: EDGE OF TOMORROW, MALEFICENT, SMOTHERED, ASYLUM* Chris and Graham welcome back nerd wrtier, Dean Haglund.  Graham enjoyed Edge of Tomorrow.  Chris thought Maleficent was only kinda bad.  Dean loves new indie film Smothered.  Chris and Dean tell the crazy story of Asylum.  Two good DVDs and some interesting theatrical releases.  This episode is more fun than a Bulgarian producer!

*FILMS DISCUSSED: THE LADY, SANJURO, GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL, UNCHARTED WATERS* Konichiwa film nerds! Chris and Graham are in Hong Kong, Tokyo with Sandy "Big Fan Japan".  They talk about running around Tokyo filming for Ear Buds.  Graham watched The Lady on the plane and really liked it.  Chris finally saw Grand Budapest Hotel and was glad he did. Uncharted Waters is a good surf doc, according to Graham.  Sane talks about some of her favoirte Kurosawa films like Sanjuro.  If you spent your entire life looking for the perfect episode, it would not be a life wasted.

*FILMS DISCUSSED: Grudge Match, Jailhouse Rock, Anchorman, and more!* Chris and Graham are in Australia filimg interviews for Ear Buds and they have Aussie nerd writer CJ Johnson on the show.  Graham thought Grudge Match was just fine to help kill time on a 15 hour flight.  All three loved Jailhouse Rock and talked about some of Elvis' other films.  Chris had to fly across the world to finally see Achorman and loved it.  CJ talks about his play in Sydney and why Chris and Graham are insane to travel around the world to meet fans.  It is the first ever CFN ep recorded on foreign soil so enjoy it!

*FILMS DISCUSSED: X-MEN, MILLION DOLLAR ARM AND THE MARTIAL ARTS KID" Chris and Graham welcome martial arts icon, Don "The Dragon" Wilson and actor Jansen Panettiere into the nerd garage.  Chris really liked X-Men: Days of Futre Past.  Graham thought Million Dollar Arm was a good disney sports movie.  Then Don talks about what makes a good martial arts film and he and Jansen discuss their new film, The Martial Arts kid.  This ep will be a round house kick for your ear buds!

*FILMS DISCUSSED: GODZILLA, NEIGHBORS, METALLICA SOME KIND OF MONSTER* Chris and Graham are in NYC filming Ear Buds.  Chris thinks Neighbors is a OK rental. Graham was rivited by Some Kind of Monster.  Chris thought Godzilla was ok and Graham has a tirade about the lack of Godzilla in the movie called Godzilla!  Some so-so DVDs and a good weekend coming up for new releases.  This ep will make you fly through the Lincoln tunnel.

*Captain America, 20 Feet From Stardom are discussed*  Chris and Graham welcome radio host and comic Steve Cooper.  Steve talks about his radio show and podcast that interviews showbiz folks.  All three really liked Winter Soldier.  Steve also talked about why he likes documentaries.  Graham found Oscar winner, 20 Feet From Stardom, to be excellent.  Chris is waiting to buy his Hobbit DVD collector set.  The new films in theaters this week will make you want to see Catain America a 2nd and 3rd time.  Listen for your life!

Guess who is back in the nerd cave?  Neil T. Weakley!  Chris liked Wolverine and how they developed Logan.  Neil thought it was fun and Graham wants to marry the Samurai girl!  Then Neil talks about what panels he saw at Comic Con, like the Superman Batman film!  And how cool the new Godzilla film looks!  A really mixed bag of DVDs this week along with a boring slate of new releases.  It's the kitten hands of future past!

We are back at the San Diego Comic-Con, so that can only mean one thing.  Talking to Kung Fu Film expert Ric Meyers!  Chris, Graham and Ric discuss the Con, Ric's panel and the state of action films.  And hear about some cool martial arts films coming from China.  It is a episode you can't miss!

Crickey mates, Australian comic/podcaster Wil Anderson visits the Nerd HQ!  All three lads explain why they didn't see Grown Ups 2.  And then they all liked Pacific Rim but it had many problems.  Wil talks about some lesser known Aussie films and horrible accents.  Along with why Yahoo Serious has a website from 1994.  One good DVD out this week and a weak weekend for in-theaters.  This is a Greedy/Gritty Reboot if ever there was one.

Chris and Graham welcome back bad accent fan Pat Francis into the Nerd HQ.  Graham thought White House Down was exactly the dumb film you thought it would be.  Then all three gents express how horrible The Lone Ranger was.  Pat talks about his favorite super hero films of this summer and what he is looking forward too.  Not great DVDs this week and then the question of the week is whether Pacific Rim will be good or not.  This episode will make a bunny go crazy!

Chris and Graham are in front of a live audience in the Comedy Attic for the Limestone Comedy Festival!  First guest is comic and feature film grip Brett Hiker.  Bret tells behind the scenes stories about working on big budget films.  Then Pete Holmes comes out and defends his case that Dark Knight Rises is a bad film.  Graham tries not to kill him.  It is pure crazy fun!

It's a Zombie-centric episode with Nerd writer, Matt Weinhold and Matt Mogk from the Zombie Research Society.  First Chris says why he liked Monsters U.  Then a lenghty discussion about World War Z.  The two Matt's didn't like it while Chris and Graham enjoyed it.  This leads into talk about what makes a good zombie story and where this genre can and should go.  A couple of good DVDs and then a really weird weekend.  This episode will take over your brain like a virus.

Chris and Graham welcome back the 40 Year Old Boy and nerd writer, Mike Schmidt.  Graham talks about why This is the End is a good funny film.  Then a long discussion about why all three nerds were very disappointed with Man Of Steel.  The Superman talk leads into what makes a good comic book film and what kills it.  Are there too many superhero films?  You will have to listen to decide.  Also maybe the single lamest week for DVDs and then three interesting films coming out this weekend.  Listen to this before General Zod atacks the nerd garage!

Chris and Graham welcome comic Stephanie Escajeda into the Nerd HQ.  Graham and Chris both saw The Purge and liked it overall, although it had some small problems.  Then all three get into a discussion about where Vince Vaughn should go with his career since The Internship did not do well in its opening weekend.  Stephanie talks about the role she plays in a new indie film Love, Sex and Missed Connections.  DVDs are not that great except for ENTER THE DRAGON 40th Anniversary Blu-ray!!  Also, is there some kind of comic book film this weekend...hmm not sure.  Anyway, this episode will make you kneel before Zod!

Nerd writer Allan Havey is back to talk about the TCM Film Festival.  Allan gives insight into the big name stars that spoke at the festival.  Then Chris, Graham and Allan give their suggestions on what classic films should be at next years fest.  It's the rosebud of episodes!

Chris and Graham welcome comic Kira Soltanovich into the nerd HQ.  Graham talks about the many problems with After Earth.  Kira and Chris were both disappointed with Now You See Me.  Chris thought The Kings of Summer will make a good rental.  Kira talks about her new podcast and her early film work for Cinemax.  This episode is a cool as Tivo!

The boys are in the Nerd HQ to hear about why Graham can't pronounce Cumberbatch and that he liked Fast & Furious 6.  Chris and Graham explain how the Fast films are better than GI Joe.  Graham thought Hangover III was ok, while Chris really disliked it.  Ok DVDs this week and then After Earth along with some other interesting films this weekend.  This show is like the perfect belt with a micro-adjustable buckle!  It fits everyone.

Chris and Graham welcome back former nerd writer Betsy Salkind.  Graham and Chris both liked Star Trek but had some issues with it.  This opened up a discussion about sci-fi and what types of sc-fi Betsy likes.  Then Graham really enjoyed The Iceman as a movie but some of the portrayals were off, according to the real life documentary about the serial killer that Betsy watched.  Then we hear about a new book that Betsy has written for called No Kidding about female comedy writers that choose to not have children and why.  A pretty slow week for DVDs but who cares when there is a full slate fo good films coming out this week!  This ep will make you lose your religion.

Chris and Graham welcome comic and film actor, Rick Overton, into the Nerd HQ.  They talk about the 100+ films that he has done.  Graham and Chris tell why Gatsby had many problems despite the good acting.  Then Rick goes into detail about which films he was allowed to improvise on and how Sean Connery would fight anyone.  Cloud Atlas in out on DVD and then it's Star Trek Weekend!  Remember Highlander, there can be only one podcast!

Film fan and host of Podcrash Chris Gore is back in the Nerd HQ.  Mancini talks about why Pain & Gain is stupid.  Graham really liked Mud.  Chris Gore talks about Rubber and how inventive it is.  Then a nice discussion on how Hollywood Blockbusters have changed for a global market.  Some good DVDs this week and then get ready for IRON MAN 3!!! It's a film nerd threat for your ears!

Chris and Graham are all alone in the gargolye garage!  They have a long talk about Oblivion and what makes a good sci-fi film.  Then they announce that the show is moving to the All Things Comedy network and how that is going to be good for all you fans.  Some good DVD titles this week and will Graham break his vow to never see a Michael Bay film because Pain & Gain has a funny trailer?  Tune in to find out!

Chris and Graham welcome nerd writer David Huntsberger to the Nerd HQ.  Dave talks about his podcast Professor Blastoff and what films he watches with his girlfriend.  Graham thought 42 was a solid film.  Dave thought the 3D for Jurassic Park was unnesscary, but the film was still fun to watch on the big screen.  Chris gives a shocker and didn't like To the Wonder.  Two good films coming out on DVD and split opinions on the new Tom Cruise film coming out this weekend.  Blastoff your life up with this episode!

The co-founder of the Bridgetown Comedy Festival and comic Andy Wood joins the lads.  Andy explains why The Call is ridiculous.  Chirs really liked The Place Beyond the Pines.  Graham was smitten with The Sapphires.  Then all three talk about their favorite Coen brother films.  Slow week for new DVDs but some good films in theaters this weekend! If you don't like this ep, then sit on it!

Neil is back with bad accents and kitten hands!  Graham appologizes to the world for going to see GI Joe.  The Croods made Chris mad.  Graham thought The Host was both parts boring and dumb. Thank God Neil saw Evil Dead so there was something good to talk about.  Graham liked The Place Beyond The Pines.  Then all three talk about what summer films they are excited for.  Two out of four good DVDs and some decent indie films this weekend.  It is a scary forest of nerd fun!

Longtime friend and first time guest Sarah Silverman joins the lads in the Nerd HQ!  Graham thought Olympus Has Fallen was just the right kind of stupid, sort of how Sarah Felt about Knight and Day.  Chris really liked It's a Disaster.  Then Sarah and the boys talk about new ways of distribution and how fun it was for Sarah to work on Wreck-It Ralph.  It is like the Jesus is Magic of episodes.

Chris and Graham welcome comic Baron Vaughn into the Nerd HQ!  Baron and Graham both liked Burt Wonderstone.  Chris really liked OZ much more than Graham and Baron wanted more Sam Raimi.  Then Baron and the guys talk about their favorite Sam Raimi films.  A solid line-up of films coming out on DVD and a really weird and lame looking weekend for new releases.  Don't Fuqua this up!

A lone gunman entered the Nerd HQ, Chris and Graham got excited!  Longtime nerd writer Dean Haglund came back to talk about working on a film that Chris directed.  Graham was sooooo let down by Dead Man Down.  Dean talks about a new way to fund a film he is making and why he HATED Hitchcock!  So much so that it changed Graham's mind.  Also Life of PI is out on DVD along with a great music doc, Sound City.  It is a conspiracy of fun!

Chris and Graham welcome host of the JV Club podcast, Janet Varney, into the nerd HQ.  Janet talks about how her podcast has evolved since it started a year ago. Graham recommends Emperor as a good film about post WWII Japan.  Chris was let way down by The Sweeney.  Then all three talk about the Oscars.  Janet tells some great stories about Danny DeVito at San Francisco Sketch Fest.  A good line-up of new DVDs.  And two nice films coming out this weeekend.  Nerd it up like Suzanne Pleshette!

Chris and Graham welcome comic, co-host of the Paul Goebel show and SNL freelance writer Jim Bruce.  Graham liked Side Effects even though it caugh him off gaurd.  Jim says that it is ok for guys to like Les Miserables.  Then a solid discussion about hard science fiction and the films that use it well.  Some good DVDs this week like Fred and Vinnie.  And a cage match between Josh Duhamel and Bruce Willis.  Nerd it up!

Chris and Graham welcome themselves into the garage!  Three different guest all got sick so it's a guestless episode.  Graham thought Warm Bodies was all over the place and it is a DVD rental at best.  Chris was thouroughly impressed with the Oscar nominated documentary 5 Broken Cameras.  The boys give some updates about the LA Podcast Festival Oct. 4-6, 2013.  Flight is available on DVD if you missed it in the theaters.  Along with some other DVDs.  Two decent looking films coming out this weekend and much more!  This ep will cure your cold!

Chris and Graham welcome Matt Mogk from the Zombie Research Society.  Matt talks about all the solid work that ZRS is doing along with make makes a good Zombie film.  Graham had no problem with the fact that Parker was exactly what you thought it was.  Chris was completly let down by John Dies at the End.  Graham thought Broken City was fine until it went off the rails and became a stupid farm.  Then Matt and the boys have a nice discussion on some of the greatest Zombie films of all time.  A couple of decent DVDs this week and a Zombie professional opinion on the upcoming Warm Bodies.  This episode will infect you like a virus and make you hungry for human flesh.

Chris and Graham welcome back comic/author Stefanie Wilder-Taylor for some nerd filled hyjinks! Stefanie talks about her new TV show on Nick Jr.  Graham thought Gangster Squad was a little cartoonish.  Stefanie didn't like Perks of Being a Wallflower.  Chirs liked Naomi Watts in The Impossible but thought the film was just ok.  Stefanie didn't like Flight, but had some other issues to deal with.  DVD's and not much for new releases!  It's the blood diamond of episodes!

Chris and Graham welcome first time guest Beth Littleford into the Nerd HQ.  Beth talks about being on the early days of The Daily Show.  Graham liked Zero Dark Thirty.  Beth was bored at Les Miserables but thinks that if you are a fan of musicals you will like it.  Chris thought Matt Damon did a nice job with Promised Land, but not sure it is Oscar worthy.  Beth was dissapointed with This is 40 and Anna Karenina.  Chris was blown away (NOT in a good way) with Jet Li's train wreck, The Sorcerer and the White Snake.  Not great DVD choices but Gangster Squad comes out this weekend.  It's the Crazy Stupid Love of nerdyness!

Chris and Graham welocme back nerd writer Jackie Kashian!  They talk about why Jack Reacher is a great movie, if you are living in 1998.  Jackie loved the Hobbit and so did Chris but thought is was a little long.  Django Unchanined was good in Graham's eyes, but all would like to see Quentin do a film that is not so 1970's centric.  Many a tease for the 2nd part Hobbit Spoiler episode.  Only two films in Theaters and on DVD this week.  A little light, but who cares cause it's all Hobbit!

Chris and Graham welcome back Fred Stoller into the Nerd HQ.  Fred talks about the new film he wrote and starred in called, "Fred and Vinnie."  Then Graham agrees with Mike Schmidt about Killing Me Softly.  Fred and Graham both really liked Life of Pi.  Chris liked Deadfall, despite a couple of missteps.  Graham and Fred both enjoyed Silver Linings Playbook but weren't blown away.  A couple of ok DVDs coming out and then buckle up for The Hobbit!!  This is the episode that will make you bi-polar.

Chris and Grahm are back with Mike Schmidt!  Graham talks about doing shows Down Under and why Red Dawn was what you think it would be.  Chris goes on a Twilight rampage.  Mike thinks Killing Them Softly is a perfect film.  Graham wants you to see Lincoln but be aready for some long Spielbergy scenes.  Also Graham saw a good doc, Waiting for Surgarman, in Adelaide that is worth your time.  Then more Dark Knight DVD talk and some ok looking films in the theaters this weekend.  This show is better than a vegimite sandwhich.

Chris and Graham welcome back the Smartest Man in the World, Greg Proops! Some nice talk about the LA Podfest, what working on Phantom Menace was like and then an all out film noir nerd con!  A blistering pace is set for all three nerds, in this themed episode, to talk about how growing up in San Francisco influenced Greg's love affair with noir.  They discuss which ones are classic and should be remade.  Graham asks Greg to defend his dislike of Miller's Crossing and much much more!  This ep is like a dame with a nose for trouble, but her sweet pipes keep you coming back for more until you go down for the dirt nap.

Chris and Graham welcome The Stunt People, Eric Jacobus and Rebecca Ahn into the nerd HQ.  They talk about their new film Death Grip (available in the CFN store) and why they made it.  Along with what it takes to do fight choregraphy and the why the whole process of doing action films is more complex than regular films.  Then all four nerd out over some of their favorite action films of all times.  I'm sure someone will mention a film you haven't heard of!  It's a martial arts/action film themed nerd-a-thon, so stretch out!!

Welcome back Laura House!  You light up the nerd cave with some hilarious talk about Skyfall.  Graham liked it and Laura did as well but was a little put off by Javier Bardem's hair.  Chris had a good time with his family at Wreck it Ralph.  And Graham liked Flight a little mroe than Laura.  Some Ok DVDs this week.  And of course its Twilight the final part of the epic endiing finale that is the second part of the conclusion.  Also Silver Linings Playbook looks good.  This is some good ol nerdery for your ears!

Feel the fun with Dean Haglund!  Dean talks about his interview with Tom Hanks and Halle Berry that is on the CFN youtube page.  And then a nice nerdy discussion about Cloud Atlas.  All three really enjoyed the film and suggest that you see it well-rested.  Then Graham goes into how they should of used the actual story about who discovered Mavericks rather than the Hollywood silliness of Chasing Mavericks.  And the boys are a little hopeful that Disney will bring Star Wars back to its former glory.  Chris, Graham and Dean are all fired up for Skyfall and Lincoln this weeked!  If you like quantum mechanics and surfing then this episode is for you!

130 episodes of pure Kitten Hand love!  Cash Levy enters the gargoyle cave and talks about the LA Podcast Festival.  Then it's a hearty discussion about why Ben Affleck is a good director and did a nice job with Argo.  Cash talks about his favorite trailer and why Die Hard is still great.  Moonrise Kingdom is the only good DVD choice unless you like filling your eyeballs with stupid.  And a lame upcoming weekend of new releases.  I love you.

So close to ep 130 and a new logo!  Let us welcome from the youtube show Nerdterns, Kyle Clark.  Kyle talks about working for Nerdist industries and why he and Graham think you'll like Taken 2.  Chris enjoyed Frankenweenie.  Kyle liked parts of V/H/S, especially the Ti West story.  Three fairly dumb DVD choices and a decent upcoming weekend.  It's the most fun you can have before the LA Podcast Festival Oct. 12-14!!

Gary and Graham want End of Watch to use a tri-pod and just tell a story.  Chris is a fan of the limited release film Solomon Kane.  Graham was creeped out, in a good way, by The Master and thinks you should watch it.  Gary tells why he likes dramas over comedies.  Two so-so DVDs and then a decent slate of films coming out this weekend.  It's a nerd revolution!

Chris and Graham Welcome the director of Mega Shark vs Octopus, Jack Perez, for a fun filled themed episode.  He talks about how he met Allan Havey.  How crazy it was to make a no-budget film about sharks and mollusks.  Plus a great discussion about what it takes to make an indie film like Some Guy Who Kills People, Jack's latest film with John Landis as the producer.  It is a nerd filled round table with a indie filmmaker who has done it all!  This epsiode will make Ace Hanna proud!

First ever recording in Philly at the Helium Comedy Club!  With actor, Samm "lil wolverene" Levine and lcoal Philly radio personality Nick MacIlwain.  Chris is excited to be back in his home town for this show and Graham drinks lighting and craps thunder.  They discuss some of the films that have been shot in Philly and what made them unique.  Nick has good insight on the locations of many of the Philly films.  Samm talks about the new TV show for NBC that he is shooting in the city of brotherly love.  And then the 4 lads go through what were the best and worst of the summer.  This episode will make you see dead people!

The creator of Deathsquad.TV and former indie movie theater employee, Brian Redban, is in the Nerd HQ.  Brian talks about how he started working with Joe Rogan and doing podcasts.  Then Graham recommends the new John Hilcoat film, Lawless, even with Shia LaBeouf.  Chris found Mike Birbiglia's film, Sleepwalk with Me, compelling.  That opened up a good discussion with all three  about Mike and how most comics have something holding them back emotionally.  Brian talks about some of his favorite indie films and a good DVD pick.  A really off upcoming weekend and much much more!

Chris and Graham welcome back Frank Woodward (Director of "Lovecraft Fear of the Unknown') and suit actor Douglas Tait.  Very interesting talk about Frank's new film, Men In Suits.  About suit actors, like Douglas Tait, and what they go trough like acting with 130 lbs costumes. Then Chris telss us all how much fun Expendables 2 was.  Graham thought Premium Rush was a cliche on wheels.  Douglas and his two kids loved ParaNorman.  Not too much in the way of DVDs to get excited about.  New releases and more fun than your own Bigfoot suit!

Graham and Chris welcome the married couple Annabelle Gurwitch & Jeff Kahn into the Nerd HQ.  First they talk about their book, "You say tomato, I say shut up", about the ups and downs of being married.  Then it's an all out free for all on what makes a good family film.  If you like hearing couples fight, then this is the episode for you.  And some interesting choices for everyone's family films, not what you might expect.  This is the War of the Roses of episodes, so buckle up!!

Fun times in the nerd garage with popular podcasters Keith and The Girl!  Graham was just so-so about Total Recall.  Keith and Chemda think that if you liked the other Bourne films you will like Legacy.  Otherwise it was just Ok.  Chirs was disappointed in 2 Days in New York.  Three decent new DVDs and a wide range of good films coming out this weekend.  Polish up your nerd outfits cause this ep will take you to the prom and give you a baby.  

Chris and Graham welcome the mayor of Lake Tahoe, Howie Nave, into the mobile Nerd HQ.  It's a special Time Travel themed episode from beautiful Lake Tahoe!  Howie and the boys first talk about films that were made up in Lake Tahoe like Smokin Aces, Godfather II and a obscure, but good film, Things Change.  Then it's a nerd free-for-all about time travel films.  They fellas get all nerded out for Time Cop, Planet of the Apes, Terminator(s), Bill and Ted just to name a few.  So much excitement in this episode it will give you a Butterfly Effect (get it?)!

Chris and Graham welcome back Paul F. Tompkins to the nerd HQ.  It's a Step-Up Revolution spoiler alert!!!  Graham was unaware that flash mobs can reverse public policy, who knew?  Chris watched a very good and sad samurai film Hara-Kiri.  Graham really liked The Intouchables despite it's name.  Paul talks about his podcast and David Lean.  One really stupid DVD film and Paul was not as excited about Total Recall as one might expect.  It is a Nerd Revolution so shut up and dance!!

Chris and Graham welcome back nerd writer Mike Schmidt for a special two-part episode!  Part A is a regular episode with a general review of The Dark Knight Rises (Part B is a spoiler alert episode of Dark Knight Rises) where all three loved the film.  Mike and Chris had some minor complaints and Graham thought it was perfect.  Chris finally watches Spider-man and thought it was useless and was mad at Graham for being to easy on Erik Griffin.  Graham liked To Rome With Love, not as much as Midnight in Paris, but still good.  Only two new DVD's and then the film event of the summer STEP UP REVOLUTION!!!

Chris and Graham go down to the San Diego Comic Con and interview Kung Fu film expert, Ric Meyers.  Ric talks about his panel, the Superhero Kung Fu Extravaganza, that has been at Comic Con for 15 years.  Then there is a healthy discussion about the Dark Knight films and the use of martial arts in them.  Also discussed are movie studio conspiracies and obscure martial arts films.  It is a nerd explosion that will sweep your leg!

Graham and Chris welcome Erik Griffin into the Nerd HQ.  Erik talks about his character, Montez Walker, from the show Workaholics on Comedy Central.  Erik and Graham spilt a little on Spider-Man.  Chris was just so-so on Savages.  Graham and Erik both liked Ted.  Chris' was glad to see Brave was better than Cars 2 but not as good as Up.  Graham gives a good recommendation to Safety Not Guaranteed.  A good DVD pick is out and a great weekend to stay home and rest up for Dark Knight Rises.  It will make you want to see Janet Jackson's nipple!

It's a new special themed episode called "DVD Closet!" Jackie brings a bunch of DVD's into the nerd HQ and they admit they are gay...wait no that's not what happens.  Chris, Graham and Jackie talk about her collection of films.  Some classics and gulity pleasures are discussed.  Maybe this will be a regular event? (Cliffhanger ending)

Chrisam (short for Chris and Graham) are glad to have Neil T. Weakley back in the Nerd HQ for a sound discussion of Cult films.  Neil goes into what makes a cult films.  Then all three lads are off to the races about how some cult films start out with bad box office then get some kind of loyal following that builds.  Also there are the really horrible movies that gain cult stauts because they are great fun to get drunk and yell at.  All this is covered in this week's themed episode.

It's a Never Not Funny episode of CFN with Jimmy Pardo.  Chris and Graham welcome back the podcaster who was impressed with Tom Cruise but not at all with Rock of Ages.  Chirs and Jimmy talk musicals.  Graham felt that Your Sister's Sister is what a rom-com should be.  Jimmy reveals that his favoirte film is Breaking Away and why you should watch all the disaster films of the 70's before you watch Airplane.  Some Ok DVD choices and an interesting weeeknd of new releases is on tap.  This show is Pard-a-riffic!

Chris and Graham welcome The Longshot Podcast co-host Sean Conroy into the Nerd HQ.  Sean talks about doing a podcast with Eddie Pepitone and how he made fun of Graham when they first met.  Then all three share their thoughts of disappointment about Prometheus, with Chris a little more in favor of the film.  Sean was just so-so about Lola Versus but loves going to the Hollwood Bowl for a Sound of Music sing-a-long. All three lads tell stories of their first ever films they made as kids.  One out of three new DVDs are worth watching and a bag of shit is opeing this weekend.  Live long and prosper, Nerds!

Chris and Graham welcome comic and author Sean Cullen into the nerd HQ.  Sean talks about why he liked certain aspects of Snow White and the Huntsman, but was confused about some of the hunting techniques.  Chris liked the French film, The Intouchables.  Graham enjoyed Moonrise Kingdom and all three lads had a good discussion about Wes Anderson and Blade Runner.  Sean gave us some insight about working on The Love Guru.  Also discussed were the Joys and Pleasures of Santa Monica.  A action packed list of new DVD's and it's Ridley Scott's new film Prometheus this weekend! Fun is had by all.

Chris and Graham welcome back Geekscape host Jonathan London into the nerd HQ.  Jonathan and Graham liked MIB3, even though it has some problems.  Jonathan talks about how different trailers are cut in other countries.  Chris liked the acting in Take This Waltz.  Jonathan tells us about his experience with People vs. George Lucas and a new documentary he is working on.  Goon is the best of the new DVDs.  And a weekend of ridiculous nonsense will have you staying home to rest up for Prometheus!

Chris and Graham welcome the other half of Hard and Phirm, Mike Phirman,  into the Nerd HQ.  Mike talks about being the producer for Palm Strike Dance Party and doing visual effects for such classics as Firestarter 2.  Chris was questioning his sanity after Battleship.  Mike and Graham both laughed out loud during The Dictator.  Graham watched just enough of What to Expect When You're Expecting to know that his eyes hurt from the stupidity.  Mike also goes into being an extra for a Shaq film.  DVD's and an interesting weekend is coming our way.  It's a nerd sound explosion.  

Chris and Graham have 24 hours to save the world and their guest Mary Lynn Rajskub is going to help!  And talk about movies.  Chris was underwhelmed by Dark Shadows.  Mary Lynn liked Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.  Graham was perplexed by some fo the music choices in the indie film Hick.  Then Mary Lynn talks about the possibliity of a 24 film.  What working with Paul Thomas Anderson is like and Chris askes her about Sunshine Cleaning.  Some decent DVD choices this week and a Battleship of stupid in theaters.  Game on film nerds!

Chris and Graham welcome comic/podcaster Dan Gabriel into the Nerd HQ.  And then it's All AVENGERS!  Three Nerds talk about why they loved this blockbuster! Graham's new CD Palm Strike Dance Party is now in the Store!  Dan talks about his podcast The Best Medicine.  Dan reccomends a lesser known Richard Dreyfuss comedy from the 1980's.  DVDs, in theaters and much more!

Chris and Graham welcome the co-host of Who Charted? Kulap Vilaysack.  It's a fun filled show where they talk about why this weeks box office was so lame.  Graham was just so-so with The Raven, but thinks that Longfellow needs his own theme park.  Chris thought The Giant Mechanical Man was boring.  Kulap talks about Who Charted and what films she thinks are going to take the summer box office.  DVDs are not that great this week but AVEBGERS is HERE!!!  Nerd up bitches, 'cause this one is hot!

Viva Las Vegas!  Chris and Graham are joined by nerd writer Allan Havey in Sin City!  It is a themed episode where the boys discuss Allan's trip to the Turner Classic Movies festival.  Complete with some great old Hollywood stories.  Allan gives insight about some lesser known classic films and his CFN Guide to Movies chapter on war films.  It is a nerd-a-palooza for all things classic cinema!

Chris and Graham welcome back nerd writer, Dean Haglund.  Dean gives us updates on the most recent conspiracies, why he lives in Chris' garage and his kickstarter project.  Chris points out some small upsides to Three Stooges.  Dean loved Cabin in the Woods.  And Graham talks about a good doc, The Island President.  A couple of good DVDs and a upcoming weekend of some mostly dumb looking films.  Don't worry the NSA is listening...

Chris and Graham go on a tri-state killing spree...wait that's something else.  They welcome in Seinfeld writer, Fred Stoller.  Fred talks about his new kindle single, My Seinfeld Year, where he descripes writing on that show like the opposite of his favoritie year.  Chris liked Morgan Spurlock's Comic Con film but hoped for a little more.  Fred and Chris both liked God Bless America.  Fred gives his reasons for liking The Raid as well.  Also a weak showing for new DVDs and some interesting new releases.  It is a show that would make Art Vandelay very proud.    PRE-EMPTIVE CORRECTION:  Chris was right, there is a Slide in Star Chamber. Weirdo.

Chris and Graham talk about Wrath of the Titans and why it got beat at the box office by Hunger Games.  Graham wants everyone to join in a hockey fight and see Goon.  Chris really liked The Lorax despite it having a bad trailer which sparks a discussion about how much trailers have changed and why.  Some good DVDs and interesting choices for upcoming releases.

Fan favorite and Nerd writer Laura House returns to the Nerd cave.  Chris and Graham both liked the Hunger Games but wanted a better action director.  Laura really liked Jeff Who Lives at Home.  Graham thinks The Raid is a must see for martial art film fans.  Laura talks about her Rom Com chapter in the CFN book and why Joe vs The Volcano is a solid make out film.  Some good DVD's coming out and a roll of the dice for new releases.  It is a nerd-tastic piece of ear gold. (I know that doesn't make any sense.)

Chris and Graham welcome back Frank Conniff to enjoy a bench press and some gargolyes.  Frank talks about films and live shows for Cinematic Titanic.  Chris thought John Carter wasn't so bad.  Graham was bored with Jump Street and really lIked Being Flynn.  Frank enjoyed Game Change but wanted a little more.  Some good DVD's out and two good films in theaters this week.  This episode will make you taller and have more friends.
