Vanessa Bennett and Dené Logan are two soul sisters and therapists who connected over their shared love of depth psychology—known as the psychology of the soul. It is a template for diving beneath the surface to examine the complex natures of being human while on the quest for wholeness, including the relationship to spirit.
Through their training and lived experiences with depth, yogic psychology, and mindfulness, they developed a passion for supporting others in living their most authentic lives while cultivating a fulfilling and rich relationship with the Self, capital “S.”
Every Wednesday, Vanessa and Dené look to demystify, de-stigmatize, and desensitize what goes on both inside the therapy room and in daily life, through soul-provoking conversations with fellow seekers, thought leaders, changemakers, and real people during live coaching sessions as they navigate the hard work it takes to be a human.

Ep 166 Q&A Session: My Partner Keeps Bringing Up My Weight, What Should I do?
In this Q&A episode, a listener tells us they’re struggling with their recent rapid weight gain, and the negative reinforcement from their partners remarks about how proud they’d be if they regained their previous body type.
We talk about:
Every person having a right to bodily autonomy in all facets, the right to show up in their life exactly as they are
How, as a partner, it’s our role to ask what that person wants and where they are in the process, rather than projecting what we think is right for them
The need to reach within ourselves and find resilience, so we don’t become enmeshed and codependent on others, and getting comfortable with the idea that maybe not all relationships are meant to continue if you are no longer in alignment

Ep 161 Q&A Session: Step Out of Other’s Shadow and into Your Own
In this solo episode, we’re answering a listener’s question about why they seem to attract “energy vampires” and feel like they’re constantly being sucked into others’ drama.
We’re discussing:
Reshifting your energy from, “why is this person always doing this TO me” to, “that’s challenging for them, but I don’t need to participate” and remembering that where you focus your energy is what you attract
Turning your focus inward to examine where you may have hidden shadow work that you are bypassing, and hiding behind the “drama” in others’ lives
Recognizing that your time and energy is your responsibility, and that at any point you’re able to reclaim your power by setting boundaries and removing yourself from circles that don’t align with your path
And so much more!

Ep 151 Q&A Session: Are They Actually Too Good for You?
Episode 151 Q&A Session: Are They Actually Too Good for You is part of a series where we discuss topics and/or questions submitted by our listeners. In today’s episode we’re discussing the question, “What can lead someone to say to you that you are too good for them? Trauma, lack of self worth, etc.?”
We’re getting into:
The question of, “Wouldn’t they want to rise to the occasion if they really wanted to be in relationship with you?” and the possibility that somebody would use this as a way to lessen the hurt of not wanting to be together
Somebody in a state of active substance abuse may use this phrase as a way to continue hiding behind their addiction
How men, especially, may be confronted with their own Mother Wound when faced with rejecting a woman and being presented with her emotionality, and may use this phrase as a way to avoid being honest with themselves
Being needed vs being wanted, and how a hyper-independent/avoidant person may subconsciously avoid deeper connections because they’re chasing the feeling of being wanted
That consciousness is the key to decision making, and there’s no shame in making the easy choice in the moment with that awareness, and learning how to move forward as you learn your Self

Ep 87 Children as our Teachers with Katherine Winter-Sellery
We are so thrilled to have Katherine Winter-Sellery back with us on the podcast as our first returning guest! Katherine is a 3-time TEDx speaker, parenting coach, and mom of two. For over 20 years, she has been helping families thrive through her conscious guidance approach to parenting.
We talk with Katherine about the gifts that come from meeting our children with a sense of humility, the antiquated idea that any resistance from a child should be seen as a form of disrespect, how our children hold up a mirror and offer insight into what happens for us when we feel out of control, and how to embrace parenting as a paradigm-shifting opportunity for us to do our own reparent work.
Be sure to listen with a pen and paper close by for this episode to write down all of the phenomenal takeaways from Katherine.
You can connect with Katherine on Instagram @katherinewintersellery and through her website consciousparentingrevolution.com.

Amy Young is a transformational thought leader and coach supporting wide awake women in accessing their innate Feminine Power. She does this through a process of Patriarchal De-Programming she calls "The Undoing."
We talk with Amy about how 2020 has served as a catalyst for deep questioning, how much our growth requires self-responsibility, holding our younger selves with compassion for what we didn’t know when we didn’t know it, and so much more.
We loved this conversation and could’ve kept talking with Amy for hours. We know you’ll take as much away from her potent perspectives as we did!

Ep 30 Learning to Stand Up Straight - Live Coaching Session
In this live coaching session, we talk with Kate about feeling the difficulty of hard choices, even when we know they’re the right ones.
We discuss rediscovering ourselves after the end of a marriage, how putting words to what we’re feeling gives our children permission to do the same, and that although telling the truth may be the harder choice at times, it always feels better than pretty pictures painted to cover up lies.

Ep 27 How we Gain More of Ourselves by Connecting to Truth with Mark Groves
Mark Groves specializes in the art of translating human connection by challenging belief systems that hold us back from one another and by offering a new perspective on what it means to love courageously.
We talk with Mark about how painful experiences like a breakup can be an invitation to expansion, curiosity as the remedy for our deepest divisions, the allure of the codependent dance, and how understanding our roles as over-functioners or under-functioners can help us to step into our more authentic selves in our relationships (and how that can allow others to do the same). We could have explored these concepts with Mark forever, and we know you’ll take as much away from this episode as we did!

Ep 24 Finding our Way Back to our Highest Selves
Dené and Vanessa sit down together to process some of the emotional fatigue that 2020 has left us experiencing on a collective level. They talk about sitting in the discomfort of the liminal spaces of becoming, how we might start to step outside of our echo chambers to find common ground, and how meeting fear with compassion might be the greatest lesson for us to take away from this time.

Ep 14 Reparenting Ourselves As We Revisit Our Childhood - Live Coaching Session
Ram Dass famously said, “If you think you’re enlightened, go spend a week with your family.” In this live coaching session, Vanessa and Dené talk with Elle about this very relatable struggle. Elle moved home during Covid-19 and is finding it challenging to stay centered in her sense of self. We strategize ways to set boundaries that honor our own needs while also attempting to keep the peace with parents we respect and love.

Ep 13 The Unspoken Struggles of Parenting
In this episode Vanessa and Dené discuss some taboo topics of parenthood: the importance of normalizing conversations around the extent to which we are struggling, how hard it is to bring up children without the support of extended community, and tools that can be useful for parents when we feel like we're at our whitts end. This episode was taped at the height of the covid-19 quarantine, so it really acknowledges the additional stressors families were (and are) facing during this time.
