Episode 118: Supplemental Podcast 1, The Soil Food Web
In the course of all my interviews, I sometimes find topics that I want to talk about more in-depth or share a deeper opinion on than I get to in the podcast itself. Sometimes the flow of the podcast changes direction or it just doesn’t fit in the context of the interview, but regardless of the reason I thought a format like this would allow me to both share more information on the podcast as well as further support and provide value to the listeners who currently support our Patreon channel. Also, I’ve found that in some of my earlier interviews, the information has changed or I may not agree with everything that was shared by a guest. This will allow me to go share an alternative viewpoint or perspective on a topic. It takes me a long time now to vet guests for the show and while I’d like to be able to release podcasts more frequently, I’d rather focus on quality content rather than quantity.

An artist by heart and an innovator by trade, he has worked with the majority of leading grow room technology and techniques that are available on the current market and studied their application for efficient large scale cultivation. Over the last three years he has consulted on cultivation sites in Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Pennsylvania and California. After working with Nelson we have added a couple of products to our product line at KIS. We now have lighting from Science LEDs as well as offering Beanstalk Nutrients on our website. I put a lot of thought and consideration into carrying this brand because it’s not an organic nutrient line. And while I’m an organic gardener myself, I realize that there are many folks who are not and I wanted to offer what I believe to be one of the most sustainable chemical options for growers and we discuss some of those reasons in this podcast. If you want to try Beanstalk after listening to this podcast, you can get a 25% discount with free shipping on our website or by entering the coupon code KIS on their website page. Episode 55: Sun+Earth Certification with David Bronner, CEO of Dr. Bronner's Soaps
This week’s podcast is with David Bronner, CEO aka Cosmic Engagement Officer for Dr. Bronners, the top selling brand of natural soaps in North America. Not only do they make the best soap, but they’ve dedicated themselves to advocacy around our food supply, regenerative organic agriculture, animal welfare, fair labor practices, and responsible integration of cannabis and psychedelic medicine into American and global culture. In my opinion, this is one of the best examples of how a company can operate ethically and sustainably in today’s society and it was an honor to spend this time with David. I could spend the entire podcast just talking of all the amazing thing Dr. Bronner’s has done for the community and it’s employees, but the main purpose was to discuss their partnership on the Sun and Earth Certification for cannabis and the non-profit David has helped in establishing called Brother David’s. https://www.kisorganics.com/pages/cannabis-cultivation-and-science-podcast-episode-55
