Mascots: Under The Giant Head
Jerome (pronounced like “Jeremy”) Bartlett is a San Antonio-based mascot and mascot trainer. His mascot career began at New Braunfels (Texas) High, where he played Eugene the Unicorn. At Texas State, he won a mascot national title as Boko the Bobcat. Now, he works for various pro teams and teaches aspiring mascots as the owner of Higher Impact Entertainment (http://www.higherimpactent.com). Trent Dilfer and his family have spent the last 13 years struggling with, and ultimately finding answers to, those questions. From the outside, it looks like Dilfer has the perfect life: a Super Bowl ring, a plush job as an NFL analyst for ESPN, an awesome family. All those things are great, but there’s one missing piece—Trevin, the Dilfers’ second child, their only son, who died 13 years ago of heart disease. This loss impacted every part of Trent Dilfer’s life—especially his work with Elite 11, the premier quarterback training camp and showcase event in the country.
