About
This show is designed to help you make fitness a priority! Everyone sees how important fitness is in living a healthy life, but many people still fail to make it a priority. Most of us have very busy schedules. Some have kids at home who are always involved in activities. Some have to travel a lot for work. We use all of these obstacles as excuses to eat unhealthy meals and skip workouts. We put fitness off because we think we are too busy in the present, and we tell ourselves that we will get to it when we have more time. The problem is that the day we are waiting for, when we will have more time to dedicate to getting in better shape, will most likely never come. The only way to begin living a healthier life is to make fitness a priority regardless of how busy you are. It won’t always be easy, but it is a fight that anyone can win. All you have to do is make a decision to do it! Be Fit for Life will help you win the fight against your excuses!

When you believe in yourself you are never the underdog!

The 2014 NCAA Mens National Championship is tonight, and it will be the most unlikely matchup in tournament history. Out of the millions of people who filled out brackets this year, only 486 picked the correct final matchup. Tonights matchup features 7th seed UConn ~vs~ 8th seed Kentucky. Since 1985, at least a No. 1,2,or 3 seed has been in every single final. Before this year, the highest combined total of seeds in a final was 11 in 2011 UConn (3) vs Butler (8). Neither one of these 2 teams were even playing in the tournament last season. Kentucky was playing in the NIT and UConn was on a season ban for academic probation. When the Champion is crowned tonight, no more than .7 percent of yahoo sports users will have picked the correct winner! Not a lot of people believed that either of these 2 teams could make it this far, but they definatley believed in themselves. When you believe in yourself you are never the underdog. My guest on the show this week is Lori Yokiel from The Platform Magazine. Lori is no stranger to overcoming obstacles and adversity! You will not want to miss her amazing story of strength and perserverance!

Special Encore Presentation: Time to Make Fitness A Priority!

Making fitness a priority is not always easy! Sometimes it feels like a constant battle, and our biggest enemy is our excuses! We all have obstacles and challenges we face every day that can become excuses that prevent us from living a healthy life. We use the obstacles in our lives not only as excuses, but as validation to ourselves that it’s just not possible to make fitness a priority right now. We let ourselves off the hook, and tell ourselves that we will get to it when we have more time. The problem is that that magical day we are waiting for when we will no longer be too busy doesn’t really exist. The realization that everyone has to eventually make is that in order to live a happier and healthier life, you have to make fitness a priority now regardless of what obstacles you face. My goal with this show is to help you win the fight against your excuses, so that you can reach your fitness goals no matter what challenges you face. Today you start winning!

Preventative health care through healthy habits

It’s time for all of us to make a realization. That realization is that we are in control of our own lifestyle choices every day. Our daily habits of nutrition, exercise, sleep, prayer, and meditation are in direct correlation to our health and wellbeing. Disease and illness, for the most part, do not strike at random, but instead surface in our lives when we fail to make a direct effort into proactively seeking good health. Dr. Kelly Baltuska, will be joining me on the show today. He is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Cleveland University, and is a doctor of chiropractic in Lenexa, KS. Together we will discuss preventative health care through healthy habits!
