Welcome to season 3 of the SNP Podcast! This season we will be interviewing pediatric PTs who practice in various common settings. We will be getting to hear what a typical day working in their setting is like as well as how they came to be where they are. The goal of these interviews was to provide insight to you (students and new professionals) about settings that you may be interested in working in one day. The APTA Centennial Scholar program began in 2021 to foster new generations of leaders and thinkers. The now named, Association Leadership Scholars Program will run between March and December of each year with a cohort of 25 budding leaders and their mentors. In this episode, Chelsea sits down with Dr. Jane Sweeney to talk the ins and outs of a Neonatology Physical Therapy Fellowship. Dr. Sweeney was in the first group of 4 in the United States to become board certified in pediatric physical therapy, and is the founder of the Neonatology Special Interest Group of the APTA Academy of Pediatric Physical Therapy. Now, Dr. Sweeney is director and practitioner on the  Neonatal Physical Therapy team in Tacoma, WA with the Franciscan Health System.
