The Negative Fundamentals For Oil Are Now Reversing. Higher oil Prices In 2023? AIA Weekly 12-17-22
The fundamentals in the oil market that were causing weakness in the oil market over the last six months now appear to be reversing and becoming tailwinds.
-Chinese economy opening up from three years of zero Covid policy. This could result in 2-3 million barrels of demand.
-SPR releases ending. Biden administration now announcing refills of SPR. 1 million barrels per day of supply off the market.
-Russian supply was juiced due to get ahead of sanctions earlier this month. 500-800k of supply off the market.
-The continued reluctance of producers to spend money on new production and development due to negative policies including windfall profit taxes being imposed by governments.
-Strong demand from emerging markets like India.
The economy in the US and EU are now entering recessions. How much will this contribute to demand destruction? If the world does not experience a GFC or Covid lockdown economic scenario, there is a good chance oil prices continue moving higher next year.

Investing in energy will prove to be the biggest transfer of wealth in history. AIA Weekly Update 12-18-21

"Every day, headlines and stories reinforce the thesis that oil is in a multi-year bull market.
It’s time for investors to connect the dots… the world is hurtling toward an oil crisis.
A growing population and rising standards of living, combined with the lack of alternatives to oil in the short-term in the transportation sector, suggests demand for the commodity will continue to grow for years to come."

Oil sold off for various reasons this week. It was overbought and sentiment had become too bullish. Seasonality, SPR release jawboning by the Biden regime, higher dollar, are among the reasons.
I still believe we are in an energy bull market due to chronic underinvestment that has restricted supply and will be exacerbated by ESG which will cause permitting, and financing issues for new fossil fuel projects.

Make Volatility In Uranium Stocks Your Friend
We are witnessing a pullback in uranium stocks as prices have gotten way ahead of fundamentals.

Joe Biden's Banana Republic. Weekly Market Update 1-16-21
“Typically, a banana republic has a society of extremely stratified social classes, usually a large impoverished working class and a ruling class plutocracy, composed of the business, political, and military elites of that society.”
Like all Banana Republics, the US economy and social structure is now on the way to perdition with virtually nil chance for Biden & Co to reverse the inevitable course of events.

President Joe Biden And The $3 Trillion Dollar "Stimulus". AIA Weekly Update 1-9-21
President Joe Biden is proposing a $3 Trillion so called stimulus package. He said, “economic research confirms that with conditions like the crisis today, especially with such low interest rates, taking immediate action - even with deficit financing - is going to help the economy.”
Not sure what experts he is talking about but the great reflation trade has begun.

Warren Buffett: The American Tailwind. Will It Become a Headwind?
In the 2018 Berkshire letter to shareholders Warren Buffett said the following,"Charlie and I happily acknowledge that much of Berkshire’s success has simply been a product of what I think should be called The American Tailwind. It is beyond arrogance for American businesses or individuals to boast that they have “done it alone.” The tidy rows of simple white crosses at Normandy should shame those who make such claims.
I am wondering if the things that made up that "American Tailwind" now turning into a headwind. Higher taxes, stupid regulations, goofy politicians, and the constant growth of the state are not what made an environment for Berkshire to prosper.

Actionable Intelligence Alert Interview Series #10. Trader Ferg 12-10-20
Interview with one of our most popular guests. Trader Ferg.
Wide ranging discussion on what is up with Ferg over in Bali.
We discuss the recent breakout in uranium. The upcoming bull market in oil and energy in general.
We also discuss offshore oil drilling and why it still has a great future and why it will potentially be a great speculation.
Ferg also talks about his experience with his last go round with offshore and what he took away from it.
A couple of things. I am sorry as I continue to talk to too much and I should let my guests speak more. After all they are the featured guest.
Also my editing software went nuts on me so the graphic is missing.
Nevertheless I wanted to get this video out in a timely manner.

Big Money Abandoning High Tax High Regulation States
Capital, both human and monetary goes where it is treated best.
Many high net worth people, financial firms, and businesses are leaving places like New York and California for low tax states like Texas and Florida.
However the entire west is falling for more statism and stupidity. In a few election cycles Texas will be blue.
Where do you run to then? Look around the world as many places are going in the exact opposite direction of where the west is going.

Individual investors as a group have no idea what they are doing. Weekly Market Update 12-6-20
Fidelity Investments conducted a study on their Magellan fund from 1977-1990, during Peter Lynch’s tenure. His average annual return during this period was 29%.
What Fidelity Investments found in their study was shocking. The average investor in the fund actually lost money
Individuals make decisions every day with their emotions assisting their judgment. It is part of who we are as human beings. Unfortunately making emotional decisions can be a detriment in the investing world.

Review of Chris Mayer's Lost Chapter to his book "100 Baggers: Stocks That Return 100-to-1 and How to Find Them." In this paper he cites examples of wealthy people and how they became this way.
As I have said before, success leaves clues. If you want to be a success in business or investing than study those that have done it already. You will quickly come to understand that there are common traits among these people.

Energy Stocks Break Higher On Positive Virus News. Weekly Market update 11-15-20
Energy stocks moved higher this past week based on positive results from a vaccine test. Is this a one off on news or the beginning of a new trend in energy. China begins to flex its political muscle by rejecting Australian imports of coal and agricultral products. Expect more of this as time passes. China's increased economic clout will allow it to flex its political muscles. This can be actionable as I own a large met coal prodcuer in Mongolia which has seens its sales go up since the China/Australia relations soured.

Success Leaves Clues, Learning From Master Investors 11-6-20
There is nothing new under the sun. As Charlie Munger says, "I believe in the discipline of mastering the best that other people have figured out. I don’t believe in just sitting down and trying to dream it all up yourself. Nobody’s that smart.”
I offer a video on a famous a Wall Street investor's (Bob Farrell) ten rules for investing success. You will note that most of them seem simple, and they are but when we introduce humans and emotion that is when the trouble begins.
In this weeks video I go over my investing/specualting philosphy. I also discuss why I still like Antero and Antero Mid-stream. Discussion on the overvalution that is now present in the US stock market. This overvalution is not a recipe for long term positive gains. Why EV's and renewable energy are a heads I win, tails I win more proposition.

Central Banks Have Become Irrelevant. Weekly Market Update 10-11-20
The Scottish market strategist Russell Napier warns that investors should prepare for inflation rates of 4% and more by next year.
The main reason: Governments have taken control of the money supply. Debts are too big and governments need inflation to get rid of this debt. This is my major theme for next decade. Review of economist Russel Napier interview on how this has been done in the past and will done again.

World Debt To GDP Makes New Record. Weekly Market Update 9-27-20
The amount of total debt in the world has exceeded 250% of world GDP. This can only be dealt with three ways. Default, Payback, or Debasement. History shows that governments always choose debasement. This is a process until it becomes an event. Or as the Hemingway character answered when asked how he went broke; slowly and then all at once.

Is Oil At An Inflection Point? 9-22-20
Oil tried really hard to sell off recently but could not really go down. I am wondering if we are at an inflection point. I talk about sentiment changes in oil and how they played out in the past.
Is the recent BP 2020 Energy Review a bottom call on oil? I also point out that everybody's favorite EV maker Tesla is getting their lunch eaten in Europe. Doesnt matter to us as we will win regardless of who sells the most EV cars.
