EP.47: Fix your ending consonant sounds [One of the main challenges for Thai pronunciation]
If you still pronounce Thai words and release ending consonant sounds of ก(-k), บ(-p), and ด(-t), Thai people likely do not understand you. I got quite some inquiries regarding the ending consonant sounds, hence I created a podcast to help you understand the concept of ending consonant sounds as well as created an exercise to help you differentiate the unreleased ending sounds. This will be helpful!
-ก (k) ending
-บ (p) ending
-ด (t) ending
These ending consonant sounds should not be released. Close your throat and hold your breath.

Farangs Talk Thai with Kenny Marshall (How he develops Thai conversation skill from being an ahlete)
This is another episode that will inspire you to learn Thai with real experience and tips from a foreigner who masters conversational Thai. Please meet khun Kenny Marshall of F45 gyms in Bangkok.
I met khun Kenny a few months ago by joining the workout at sessions at F45 but I just realized he can speak Thai very fluently and naturally so I invited him to be a special guest of this episode. One thing I realized from having a conversation with him is that he thinks developing an athletic skill and Thai language skill are quite similar, you need big motivation. You need to find your reasons and learning style, then observe, repeat and use Thai words you learn as much as you can. Having local Thai friends and asking for help from them is part of his tip as well as many more things you can take away and enhance your learning Thai journey.
Please enjoy!

In the Thai language, ไม้ยมก "ๆ" (mái yá-mók) always follows a word that needs to be repeated as a way to shorten the writing. Instead of writing สบายสบาย, we can just easily and shortly write สบายๆ. You can learn more about this "ๆ" and other symbols in my Ultimate Guide to Thai Reading course.
