EP 174: How To Create Your Self-Care Strategy
As an entrepreneur you have a strategy for literally everything in your business. How to grow your audience, how to make more money or how to be seen as a leader in your industry. Everything in your business is strategically planned in order for you to hit a very specific goal which in turn, allows you to grow into a better entrepreneur. So why do we not strategically plan for our own mental and physical wellness in the same way we do our content or marketing strategy? Why is that most entrepreneurs have to hit a serious case of burnout before they create some sort of self-care plan when our business would be nothing if we weren't in it? No matter how many incredible strategies we use within our business to get to the next level, we are still our biggest asset. So why are we not focusing more on taking care of ourselves? In this week's episode we chat about how to create your own self-care strategy!

Ep 173: Q1 Life and Business Update
I don't know about you, but it feels like this year is FLYING BY! I'm just now getting a grip on my goals and what I want to accomplish this year and here we are already in the second quarter of 2022! If you've been listening to this show this year then you know that I announced a couple of months ago that me and my business are both going through a HUGE transition. I am shifting out of the coaching industry and with that, I'm completely stripping away the entire identity that I have given myself over the past 8 years. Needless to say, this first quarter has been interesting. A lot of people have asked me what was next and what goals I am setting for 2022 moving forward, so this week I wanted to update you on how the first quarter of this year went and what I'll be focusing on over the next 90 days. EP 172: How To Choose A Solution Over Victim Mindset
Do you know what makes a successful entrepreneur different from those who are not? When business gets hard successful entrepreneurs, instead of sitting in their excuses, they instead figure out a solution to push past the problem that they are currently facing. Those who are not so successful often adopt a victim mindset and allow their excuses to hold them back from moving forward. In this episode I share four ways that you can begin shifting into a solution mindset! If you enjoyed this episode don't forget to rate the show on Apple Podcast and Spotify! EP 168: Shifting Your Identity and Embracing Rest
At the beginning of 2021, I had so much hope that this would be MY YEAR! The year where I'd have my breakout moment and reap all of the benefits of the seeds I have been planting over the past 7 years. What I didn't know was that this year was going to peel a part everything that i knew about myself and become one of my roughest years to date. From my mental health really take a toll on my daily life, to missed goals and feeling super out of alignment, this year has beat my ass in more ways than one. But that's not to say that it was all bad. I've welcomed new clients, finally got to travel, spent time with those I've loved and welcomed some amazing new clients. This year through all of its chaos also showed me that so much of my identity and who I thought I was, was too wrapped up into a title that I had given myself and a box that I had put myself in. Which has led me to this week's podcast episode. In this episode I talk about the year 2021 has been, why i've decided to take the rest of the year off of social media and what I'm hoping to gain during this much needed break. EP 155: Building A Solid Business Foundation Instead Of Chasing Fast Growth
Let's talk about the problem with focusing on fast growth when it comes to running your business. I've talked about this before here but we're currently in a season of entrepreneurship where all we're hearing is about how fast someone is growing their business. This was a $100,000 month or I've gained 60,000 Instagram followers in 3 months. A lot of what we're seeing online is these big numbers that those we admire are achieving. For someone who may be starting out or even someone who has been in business for a while but hasn't seen that type of growth yet, it can really make you feel like you're behind in your business because the timing of their success compared to yours doesn't look the same. Today I wanted to talk about the elements of a solid business foundation that you should be focusing on before you try to scale! EP 154: The One Mindset Shift That Could Help You Start Creating Content Consistently
A lot of people will tell you that staying consistent with your content is important. They will also teach you all of the ways that you can step your content game up and stay consistent. But there is one missing piece to that. There is a big mindset shift that needs to happen before you can actually commit to consistency. Before you can dive in, you have to shift your mind from looking at content creation as just a time suck to looking at content as an integral piece of building and marketing your business. This week I'm walking you through this mindset shift and how you should be looking at your content. EP 153: The Season You're In Determines The Goals You Create
Since we're coming up on the third quarter of 2021 and you're probably in planning mode right now, I wanted to talk about the different seasons of business you may be in and how that really determines the goals you will create for this quarter. This is a concept that I introduced to the members inside of The Purpose To Service Academy during our Q3 planning session last week and it really helped them to remove a lot of the overwhelm that often comes with goal setting and to gain clarity around what they should be focusing on. While I do believe in consistently selling and doing what you need to do to generate consistent income in your business, I don't believe that your big goals should all be focused on just making money. Some seasons of your business are for intense selling while others may be for nurturing. So today I'm going to talk about the four different business seasons, how to know which season you're in and what tasks you should be focusing on during each season! EP 150: 4 Ways To Position Yourself As An Expert In Your Industry Even If You Don't Feel Like One
This week I want to talk about messaging and positioning. One of the best ways to attract new clients is to position yourself as an expert in your industry. When someone thinks about building a business with intention. Im one of the people that pops into mind because I have spent years telling ya'll that I want to help you to build your business with intention! If I were an influencer who wanted to learn more about working with brands, the first name that comes into mind is mattie James. Or when I think about being a female owned business who wants to hit a million dollars in revenue and beyond, I think of rachel Rodgers. Its because these women have spent years positioning themselves as experts in this space. Think about your industry. Who is the first person that comes to mind for your audience. Is it you? EP 149: 5 Areas of Your Business To Focus On Outside Of Getting New Clients
I feel like my mission in life is to help women like you. So coaches and online service providers or those who are aspiring to be, to 1. push past the mental barriers that are holding you back from leaping into your idea fully and 2. To help you to build a sustainable business with intention. A business that will last more than just a few months but also built around what you feel called or pulled to do in this world. There is so much focus these days on scaling. Making more money. Hitting big income goals. Getting to the covested six figures. And there is nothing wrong with that. I have huge income goals as well. But i think that there is often so much talk around the money that many business owners end up building a six figure business on a rocky foundation. And once they've hit their max, slowly that foundation begins to crumble. Don't get me wrong. Money is important. Money gives you freedom. It gives you options. And it can make life a lot easier in many cases. So don't think this is a bash against how much money you can make. My point is, you don't want you to grow a super successful business that is here today and gone tomorrow. And there is so much more to building a sustainable coaching or service based business beyond just getting your next new client. what about your content strategy? What about your brand message? Do you have solid systems? What does your retention strategy look like? This week I wanted to talk about the other areas of your business you should be focusing on outside of just getting new clients. EP 148: 4 Ways To Connect With Your Audience Through Your Newsletter
If you clicked on this episode it may be because you have a love/hate relationship with email marketing. For one, you get the benefits: Its data that you own It's a great way to connect with your audience on personal level Email marketing is key for generating new and potential clients But it may also annoy the crap out of you: Its yet another platform you need to be creating content on. And what are you even supposed to say?! I get it, the back and forth gets annoying and most likely you've probably ghosted your email list in the past. But your newsletter and the people who have given up their sacred email address really is imperative for growing your coaching or service based business. Those are the people who have typically been following you for awhile and are right on the edge of booking that discovery call or applying to be in your program. Which means, its your job to nurture them to give them the little boost they need to fully commit. Email marketing is a great way to build those relationships and in my opinion and years of experience should be a content platform that should be taken seriously. So this week i wanted to talk about email marketing but specifically, what can we send to our newsletter that will help to nurture those relationships. This week I want to talk about storytelling. Over the past few years I have built an incredible community of followers and subscribers and podcast listeners who have become almost like family to me and have been huge supporters throughout every change that I've made in my business. And I have had tons of people tell me that one of the reasons why they continue to follow me and support my brand is because they feel like they know me and can relate to my journey. So this week I want to dig into the art of storytelling! Let's talk about one of my favorite topics. MONEY! I shared in a podcast episode wayback that one the ways that I am changing my money mindset is by talking about money more and having these open conversations about it. Over the past few months I have had a lot of opinions and ah-ha moments about money that I can't wait to share and also get your feedback on as well. But for this week I wanted to talk about when to increase your prices! EP 145: How To Make Your Goals, Dreams and Business a Priority
I recently sent out a survey asking my audience why they haven't launched their offer out into the world yet. And the top answer I received was time. That you have not launched because you don’t have the time to. I know this past year has thrown us all some major curve balls and alot of us are now responsible for a lot more than we expected. BUT you can’t keep using lack of time as an excuse why you can’t launch that new offer or grow your business. Because guess what? There will never be a perfect time and you can’t add on more hours to your day. The longer you wait, the more responsibilities will just be added onto your plate. You say, I’ll wait until the kids get older then the next thing you know they are 18. Or you say, I’ll wait until things at work calm down and then next thing you know, you get a promotion or a new major project. In this week's episode I share how to make your goals, dreams and business a priority sooner than later! EP 141: My Simple Marketing Plan For 2021
Marketing has always been something that I never felt 100% confident in. Looking at the media nad looking at brands who have really large budgets, I always felt like I was doing the least when it came to marketing when I should have been doing the most. That was until I committed to learning more about marketing a few years ago. I hired a coach, I did the research and from that I learned that all marketing really is is finding different ways to share your message and what you have to offer your audience over and over again. It’s staying consistent and getting creative with how you’re putting you and your offer in your potential clients face. And it can be as simple or as complicated as you like. I’ve shared this a few times before but one of the reasons why I hit burnout a few years ago is that I was trying to keep up with ALL of the marketing strategies. Literally I was trying to do everything that I saw all of the marketing gurus doing and I burnt out. BAD! I definitely don’t believe that you have to do all the things in order to market your offers but I do think that you should be open to trying new things. Even if its just to test and see what is working and what’s not. So if marketing feels uneasy for you or if you’re just unsure of where to start, I thought it would be cool this week for me to share how I am going about marketing this year. EP 134: Creating A Retention Strategy Based On Your Client Journey
When it comes to working with clients, one of the big mistakes that many entrepreneurs make is not having a retention strategy in place for when they are done working with that client. It is a lot easier to keep a current client than it is to market and gain a new one, so you should have a plan in place for how you will be able to continue working with that client even after your program has been completed. One of the biggest pushbacks I hear when working with clients is that they are worried that if they begin taking on new clients that it will limit the amount of freedom and flexibility that they have in their personal life. Not to mention the possible stress that often comes with working with clients. I’m here to tell you that 9 times out of 10, if client work has you stressed out, it because you don’t have any boundaries set around your time, your product or your price. EP 131: Pivoting Your Business Model In Order To Tap Into Your Zone of Genius
When it comes to entrepreneurship, where you are now or where you’ll end up a few years from now, is rarely where you started. As you launch your business and as you continue to grow, you may find that you have a deeper understanding of your audience, of your purpose and the mission that you want your brand to be known for. And often with that, making a pivot in your business is required. The problem with that is, many entrepreneurs are afraid to take the leap. You’ve probably gotten into a comfortable spot in your business and your day to day tasks. So jumping into new territory is terrifying! But in many cases, in order to get to where you want to be, you can’t stay the same. That’s one of the realizations that I have come to over the past few months within our business. More specifically, the business model. Living Over Existing today is not what it was 3 years ago when I sort of just launched. And I say sort of because it was never supposed to be a brand beyond the book that I wrote. So if you’ve been thinking about pivoting your business model or you feel like you’re going backwards because you are making a huge shift, I wanted to take you down memory lane and share how our business model has changed over the past few years, how we got to where we are today and where we’re headed.

EP 129: Want to build your personal brand? Focus on one thing
So I have been saying this for months, everyone wants to make money but no one wants to take the time out to build the brand and do the work. Which I get it. We currently live in a microwaveable society where everyone wants immediate results. Add that on top of people only showing the six figures they made and not the work they put in behind it and it has almost created this false narrative that success can truly be achieved over night. But we all know that is impossible. So this week I wanted to chat with you about the 3 necessities to building a successful and profitable personal brand. These necessities are built around what I have been calling The Power of One. One Audience, One Problem and One solution. Getting them all hyped up with what you'll have to offer then ghosting them for months only to pop in later to talk about your new shiny project. They are probably just as annoyed. And yes I just compared dating to your email list because someone giving you their email these days is just as big as giving someone your phone number. If you have ghosted the subscribers on your email list then today's episode is for you! So all this month we're chatting about growing your email list. More specifically the ladies in our membership community, The LOE Collective are working to create a 5-day email challenge that they will use to grow their list and build trust with their audience. But there is an elephant in the room that we need to tackle first, what do you do if you haven't spoken to your list in months? If ever? For one, its ok! We've all been there! But that doesn’t mean that you have to scrap your list and start over. Today I wanted to share a quick process for reviving a cold list! For this episode we collaborated with noissue! noissue was founded to provide makers, brands and businesses of all sizes access to custom, sustainable packaging. Whether you’re looking for custom tissue paper like we include in our member welcome kits, custom stickers or even tape, noissue’s eco-friendly packaging allows you to provide your customers with an unboxing experience that isn’t tarnished by excessive amounts of non-recyclable plastic. EP 111: Building A Business That Fuels You Instead of Draining You
Last year I decided to completely tear down what was working in my business to step into the unknown and create an entirely different business model. I did this because, the business that I was building was completely draining me. I had great clients that I loved working with but trading that much time for money was exhausting. Not to mention all of the marketing strategies that I was trying to keep up with I no longer connected to. So I literally stopped what was bringing me in a good chunk of income to launch what is now The LOE Collective, our membership community for women entrepreneurs. And I no longer feel drained. And I no longer feel like the work i’m doing is forced. While it is def still work and there are still days where i would rather stay in bed. Making the shift from running a business that drains me to One that fuels me has literally been one of the best decisions that I’ve made. So today I wanted to share with you how to do the same, how to build a business that fuels you instead of drains you. This is for you if you're just getting started and it's definitely for you if you've been feeling like a shift needs to take place. EP 109: How To Turn Your Service Offering Into Two Different Digital Products
So all this month in The LOE Collective we have been talking about passive income and the ladies are working to create a small digital product that they can launch to their audience by the end of the month. As someone who used to provide 1:1 business coaching, I know first hand how important it is to have passive income. Or at the very least a digital product that doesn't necessarily depend on me to constantly show up. If it wasn't for passive income, I wouldn't have been able to enjoy vacations when i was coaching. And I definitely wouldn't have been able to spend several months on maternity leave. Don’t get me wrong, coaching was an incredible opportunity that allowed me to not only see just how much I was capable of making as a business owner (the money was good ya’ll) but it also helped me to get a better understanding of what my audience needed. But it did feel good to be able to take a break from coaching every once in a while and not have to worry about how i was going to bring in money. I often tell my clients to start out with offering a service because of some of those very reasons. A better understanding of your client and also the consistent income. But i also recommend it bc once you can nail down your process, you can then turn that service into multiple different products. Which in return allows you some flexibility in your session schedule, increases your income and also meets your audience where they are. Not everyone may be able to afford your high end service at the moment but being able to give them a few other options is a great way to serve those who may not have it in the budget to work with you but still need your help. So in this episode i’m going to share with you a super simple process for taking your service and turning it into 2 different types of digital products!
