Treat Your Trading Like A Business
There are many common themes and threads among the world's most successful traders.
The self-discipline and self-awareness to conquer the markets and themselves, the self-confidence and openness to take risk, the humility to accept losses and know when they are wrong, and the endurance to take the pain of not only losing money, but also failing to make a correct call - repeatedly.
But one of the most under-appreciated and talked about aspects of the most successful traders in the world is the fact that they treat their trading like a business.

Why Traders Fail: The Pareto Principle
This episode explores my theory and ideas around the high failure rate in trading. I don't believe traders fail just because of the technical reasons. They say 90% of traders fail at trading, but is this because trading is extremely difficult, or is it because only certain types of people have the right attitude and dedication towards their craft?

The Math of Winning
Most traders think that their win percentage is the most important performance statistic of their trading. The relieving truth is this is not the case. In this episode we explore the subject of winning percentage in great detail and dispel all of the myths you might have been led to believe.
Mathematical Formulas:
WinRate = (WinningTrades ÷ TotalTrades) x 100
MinimumWin% = Risk ÷ (Risk + Reward) x 100
AverageGain = WinningTotal ÷ TotalWinningTrades
AverageLoss = LosingTotal ÷ TotalLosingTrades
Expectancy = ((1 + (AverageGain ÷ AverageLoss)) x WinRate) - 1

5 Reasons Why You Should Backtest
Backtesting is the most under-utilized secret weapon in trading.
It's not a secret because successful traders don’t want you to know about it. All great trading mentors will tell you about backtesting. It’s a secret because most traders don’t want to know about it.
It’s not glamorous. It’s not sexy.
Many people find it to be boring, monotonous, difficult, and worst of all, pointless. They’ve been led to believe that backtesting doesn’t work or isn’t worthwhile, so they don’t bother with it, or they do a poor job of it.
But I disagree with that attitude completely. In today's episode I explain why.
