Top Tips to Becoming a Bestselling Self-Published Author in 2024
In today's episode, I'm joined by my dear friend and fellow bestselling author, Amanda Frances, to share our top tips on how to write and self-publish your book so that you can expand your empire and leave your legacy. Here's what most people don't understand: You do not need to have an English degree or a massive following to write and self-publish a life-changing book. And you certainly don't need a publisher. The days of waiting to be chosen or picked by a publisher are gone. It's time to choose yourself. In this powerful episode, we're sharing both of our experiences about what it looked like to write our respective books, where to begin if you dream of writing a book, why the traditional publishing model is outdated, and how easy it is to get YOUR book out into the world on YOUR terms. Feel like self-publishing may be the vibe for you? Our new course, SELF-PUBLISHED, is open for enrollment! Click here for all the details. Why Successful Women Struggle in Dating + Relationships
No matter how much men say they want an equal partner, a woman who’s smart, successful, and fiercely independent, studies find that those women often make men feel emasculated or inferior (so no, its not in your head, boo!) There is research by Lora Park, associate professor in the University at Buffalo psychology department, that shows when asked what they wanted in a woman, men wanted “the whole package” – specifically women who were smart and successful. But when given the opportunity to close the distance, and actually meet and/or date these women, the men started to lose interest. What I Wish I Knew Before I Became a Coach
There are only a few days left to enroll in COACHING QUEEN! Limited spots are available. Sign up here: https://www.thechampagnediet.com/coaching-queen It's easy to think successful 6 and 7 coaches have it all figured out, never experienced any failures, and have something that you don't. That could not be further from the truth. I've had book signings that nobody showed up to except my husband and my bestie. I've launched programs that nobody bought. I've flopped major speaking gigs and had panic attacks in front of hundreds of people. But I pushed through all of those uncomfortable moments because I believed in myself. I knew that each “failure” was really just an experience. And they made me more resilient, more focused, and more determined to become a success. In today's episode, I'm sharing 3 things I wish I knew before becoming a coach. I hope this episode saves you time, stress, and makes you feel less alone in your business.

Enroll in COACHING QUEEN now! Join us here: https://www.thechampagnediet.com/coaching-queen If you follow me on Instagram, or you happened to be walking through Times Square yesterday, you probably saw my face on a billboard. That’s right – I put myself on a billboard in Times Square. It was actually an advertisement for this podcast. We’re coming up on nearly 10 million downloads, so I figured, why not celebrate? It’s not lost on me that my face was on a billboard in Times Square, across the street from the cubicle I used to sit in for 8 years. The cubicle I dreamed in and desperately plotted to get out of. In today's episode, I'm sharing how it all went down. There is immense power in choosing yourself. In cultivating a vision, working your ass off to see it through, and keeping blinders on all along the way. Wherever you are today, I hope you realize that your biggest adventures are up to you. Nobody is coming to hand anything to you (or me) on a silver platter. Take the risk. Do the thing. Make the decision. Blow yourself up. Decide. If you don’t, who will? Unpopular Opinion: The Niche is Dead
In the 13+ years that I've been creating, re-imagining, and refining my brand, The Champagne Diet, I've witnessed many "experts" and coaches offer different approaches to business building. Some I've agreed with, and some have been downright damaging. One of the more popular approaches is finding your niche. And while I am not totally against niches, I don't think they are for everyone. If you've found something super specific and it's working for you and your audience - that's wonderful! I just know I could not do the exact same thing for the past 13 years, and almost every single one of my business clients has come to me feeling suffocated by the idea that she has to choose some specialized segment of her market and never veer off course. In today's episode, I'm sharing my thoughts on why the "niche" is dead and how we can begin to look at our brands from a completely different, more creative, empowered perspective. Being BRAZEN with Julia Haart from My Unorthodox Life
Today on the show, I'm chatting with Julia Haart, star of the Netflix series My Unorthodox Life, and Co-Owner and CEO of Elite World Group - the world’s first talent media conglomerate comprised of 48 global agencies representing over 5,400 of the world’s most dynamic talent. Julia is the definition of a BOSS. Until the age of 42, she lived within the confines of an Orthodox Jewish community in Monsey, New York, where she was married off at the age of 19 (after only knowing her husband for a few hours), and went on to raise four children in a community where women had no rights, no voice, and no hope for anything other than becoming a mother and a wife. Miserable and desperate, Julia escaped Monsey and her Orthodox life with her children and reinvented herself into a fashion industry mogul. Her mission now is to shift the power dynamic among the talent in her agency by transforming them into media channels and internationally recognized brands. She wants all women to be financially free and empowered, and is doing so by revolutionizing the modeling industry. Julia's story is inspiring, to say the least, and in this episode we talk about her path to self-reinvention, freedom, and finding and creating real love within herself and her family. Get ready to be blown away. Be sure to watch My Unorthodox Life on Netflix, and click here to pre-order her book, Brazen, coming March 2022.

How to Get Better at Saying No
I used to hate saying no to people, especially early on in my career. I felt like I was letting someone down, then I'd get in my head and wonder if I was missing out on an opportunity, or if people would perceive me as a bitch (funny how that men don't think this way, right?) Once I started evaluating my energy, everything changed. I now check in with myself regularly and ask myself how I'm feeling. Do I feel drained? Or do I feel energized? And if I'm drained, what's the cause? Typically it's because I'm overextending myself. In this episode, I'm sharing practical tips on how to start saying no to others so you can start saying yes to yourself. Grab a notebook, because you'll want to take notes! Rewriting Your Story and Being Happy "Even" After Divorce with Renee Bauer
So many women are going through divorce, but so few are actually talking about it. Although women are more empowered than ever, it seems as though the topic of divorce has become somewhat taboo, especially in this world of heavily filtered, Instagram-perfect relationships and families. In today's episode, I'm chatting with award-winning divorce attorney, published author, and founder of the Connecticut family law firm, Bauer Law Group. With almost two decades of experience, Renée is committed to empowering all women to redefine their sense of peace and purpose in their new life. Renée’s insights are sought after by local and regional media outlets, podcasts, and conferences where she speaks on co-parenting, blended family dynamics, relationships, and the art of reinvention. She is host of the Happy Even After Podcast and creator of the d-course, teaching women how to get through their divorce with their sanity intact so they can find their own version of Happy Even After. She's also been divorced twice herself, so Renee brings a personal spin to the topic along with her professional experience. You're going to love this one. Connect with Renee here. Channeling Your Unapologetic Voice
>>Join the Style Your Mind Academy here. When was the last time you had a difficult conversation? Did you feel confident in the way you expressed yourself? When was the last time you shared your views on something without second-guessing yourself or worrying about what someone else thought? When was the last time you spoke up in a meeting, set a clear boundary with someone, or asserted yourself in an uncomfortable situation? Many women struggle with using their voice. Some research suggests that women apologize when we really should be direct because we worry about coming off as rude, or hurting someone's feelings. According to a study in the journal of Psychological Science, women have a much lower threshold for what constitutes offensive behavior. In turn, this causes us to apologize more - even when we should be assertive. In this short but powerful episode, I’m going to share some tips on how to get crystal clear about who you are, what’s important to you, and how to put it all out there without the fear and without the guilt. 5 Powerful Tips for Setting Intentions
I love to set my intentions at the top of each month. It helps me stay focused and in alignment with whatever I want to bring to fruition for myself. Intentions are different than goals. In fact, I much prefer setting intentions because they allow me to stay in a high vibe without attaching myself to a specific outcome. For me, a goal can limit me and cause me to think there's just one to do something. Whereas an intention reminds me of how I want to feel, rather than what I want to achieve. And it leaves room for the universe to do it's magic! In today's episode, I'm sharing 5 tips for setting powerful intentions so that you can call more abundance, creativity, joy, and FLOW into your life. Enjoy! How to Banish Your Anxiety + Stop Future Tripping with Stephanie Catalano of Mindful Living
I don't know about you, but I am guilty of what I refer to as, "future tripping." This is where you start to think WAY too much about the future, and almost obsess about things that haven't even happened yet - or may never happen! Future tripping can cause anxiety, because we take ourselves out of the moment. I find I'm much more at peace, much more creative, much more focused, and much more powerful when I can just be in the NOW. When I can be mindful of the present moment and truly sink into that. I have a very special guest today that I'm so excited to share with you. We are going to dig into this topic, as well as so many other aspects of mindfulness and what it looks like to feel more present, so that you can create the life of your dreams. Stephanie Catalano earned a Master’s-Degree and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Life Coach, and Author. Stephanie founded Mindful Living, a community she created to empower women on their individual journey to living a happy, fulfilled life of their dreams. Stephanie believes everyone has a transformational story inside of them and she helps women own their story and step into their power. She is all about helping you overcome any barriers, blocks, or beliefs that have held you back so that you can move forward in your life, turn your dreams into reality, feel good, and live your life on purpose, with purpose. This is accomplished through her books, courses, coaching, and counseling. How to Speak Your Dreams Into Existence
It’s incredibly important to speak our dreams into existence. That means speaking positively and optimistically about the things we want, and talking about them with certainty that they will happen. Of course, we must do the work, but the way we speak about our dreams is crucial to their success. We must believe, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that we will experience good things that help drive our vision forward. We must believe that the right people will show up, at the right time, and guide us on our journeys. We must believe that we will be successful, and we must be bold enough to say it out loud. In this episode, I'm sharing my tips on how to do just that. Grab a pen and a notebook and get ready to dive in! This is a good one. My new bestselling book, Girl on Fire, is out now. Entrepreneur Noelle Santos Started a FIRE with The Lit Bar
Around 2014, I met a woman named Noelle Santos on the internet. Neither of us can recall exactly how we “met,” but we both recall Noelle contacting me through Snapchat, asking for advice around an idea she had to bring a bookstore to the Bronx, where none existed at the time. At the time, Noelle was working a cushy, corporate job on Wall Street, earning six-figures and putting her accounting degree to good use. She was comfortable, but after seeing a petition on Facebook to urge her local congress members to build a bookstore in the Bronx after the last Barnes & Noble went out of business, she became extremely uncomfortable. The Bronx is a borough of 1.5 million people and ten colleges, and also Noelle’s hometown, where she currently lives. Furious and frustrated, she signed the petition, but immediately decided she wasn’t about to wait for the politics to align to get her bookstore. And in that moment, she got to work. I sat down with Noelle recently at The Lit Bar, the bookstore/wine bar she built herself from the ground-up five years later after crowdfunding support and a whole lot of hustle. As we sipped on our wine (she had a Cab, I had a Chardonnay), we reminisced on those earlier conversations we had as she was rallying to get the store created. We talked about the importance of choosing yourself to get things done. We talked about the criticism she’s faced despite her good intentions, and the daily challenges that arise while embarking on a brand-new industry. Get ready for this empowering conversation! Choose Your Own Adventure: Inspiration for Designing a Life Well-Lived
Do you remember growing up and reading those Choose Your Own Adventure books? They were a series of children's gamebooks where each story is written from a second-person point of view, with the reader assuming the role of the protagonist, and making choices that determine the main character's actions and the plot outcome. The stories were formatted so that after a few pages of reading, you'd have a few different options, which would lead to more options, and ultimately a few different endings. As I began intentionally designing my own life, I always felt like I was in one of those books. I am well aware that I have endless options, and I am the creator of my story. We all are. In this short, but powerful episode, I'm giving you a loving kick in the butt and some major inspiration to start choosing your own adventure and living the life you know you're meant to live. Your Future Needs You, Not Your Past
I don't know about you, but I have spent a lot of time thinking about my past. Ruminating over situations where I could have done things differently, obsessing over why I didn't do things sooner, wishing I could have said something different. And do you know where that's gotten me? Absolutely nowhere. I love the mantra, "Control the controllable" because it reminds me that worrying about the past, or things no longer in our hands, is a waste of time. Every single thing you do today is weaving you into the woman you want to be tomorrow. Every single thought you think is shaping your future self. Every single action you take is setting up the world around you to either support you, or sabotage you. In this episode, we’ll talk about how to shift our energy from focusing on our past to creating our future. Thank you to our sponsor, Tara at Resting Boss Face! Episode 109: How to Be a HIGH VIBE Business Babe
I like to say I see the world through rosé colored glasses. I make it a point to choose optimistic, positive, blissful thoughts, which create an optimistic, positive, blissful reality. The first step to making any real change in our lives and our businesses is to change our energy. Our energy, or vibration, is the frequency we put out into the world that determines the quality of our experiences. Getting in a high vibe is the quickest way to supercharge your soul and skyrocket your success. We cannot create quality content from a low vibration. In this episode, I will help you identify what is, and what is not serving you, raise your frequency, and create your energetic outline for your success. Episode 98: POSITIVE Weight Loss is a Thing - And I'm Doing It!
As someone who has struggled with her weight for most of her entire life (I joined weight watchers at 11 years old) I know what it feels like to have a completely dysfunctional relationship with food and with my body. After becoming a professional dieter, and losing and gaining weight like it was my job, I was done. Done beating myself up. Done starving. Done binging. Done putting the keys to my self-worth inside a pair of skinny jeans. I spent years reprogramming my brain and finding ways to accept myself for who I am and what I look like, regardless of what the number on the scale said. I immersed myself in the body positivity movement and it saved my sanity. I finally learned to love myself – fully. I felt better, like I could breathe again. But at the same time, I knew I wasn't my fully being my best self if I was overweight, and on the road to putting myself at risk for disease. Not to mention, not feeling entirely confident in my skin. Yes, I loved myself. But I didn't love my reflection because I knew, deep down, it wasn't me. Being 100% honest here. And then recently it hit me – you CAN be body positive. You CAN love your body. And STILL want it to be leaner, stronger, smaller, and healthier. You can love your body, and want to make it better. I had made “weight loss” a dirty term because I thought wanting to lose weight meant you didn’t love yourself. And that’s completely untrue. What a revelation. And we all know a good revelation leads to a revolution… In this episode, I'm sharing how I gained a completely NEW perspective on weight loss, and have already lost over 10 pounds in 3 weeks in the most positive, effortless way possible. To join me on my new mindset and nutrition journey, click here. All the details for joining are listed in the bottom of that blog post. Episode 96: Why the GRIT is More Inspiring than the GLAMOUR
You know who I love to follow online? Grassroots girls who are doing business THEIR way. Girls running shit out of their bedrooms. Girls with an insatiable hunger for success, believing with every single ounce of their soul that their small business in their small town is WORTH it. I don't follow the "big" coaches, public figures, or super popular entrepreneurs. I am alllll about the DIY hustle. I don't need to see fancy photo shoots at expensive hotels in faraway exotic lands. I wanna see you in your living room with your dog packing up makeup orders. I wanna see your selfies, in your workout clothes, helping others, in your little corner of the world. Unknown. Underground. Girls with SICK potential and grit and glamour and an unfuckwithable drive. THAT is what inspires me. In this quick episode, I'm telling you why PROGRESS beats PERFECTION any day of the week. If you've been holding back because you don't feel you have "enough" to offer, then this episode is for you.

Episode 95: Birthday Reflections: How I'm Planning to Show Up Bolder Than Ever + Let Go of the Fear of JUDGMENT!
It's my birthday! As I enter my 38th year of life and my 10th year as a blogger-turned-coach-turned-author-turned self-empowered woman, I have a LOT on my mind. I've been thinking about how I want to continue showing up in the world. As a woman. As a business woman. As someone who has a lot of eyes on her, and a massive platform to express herself through and help women. I'm going to admit something: I sometimes edit myself. I sometimes hold back on saying things I really want to say because I don't want to offend people. Or ruffle feathers. Know what's interesting? I NEVER did this in the beginning of my career. Because nobody was really paying attention. And if they weren’t paying attention, they weren’t judging. And if I wasn’t being judged I felt safe. But as I've grown and become more of a public figure, I fell into the habit of biting my tongue. This isn't to say I haven't been real, but I've held back on expressing my thoughts at times because frankly, I just don't want to deal with people's reactions. I don't like negativity. But I just can't go on muting myself because someone may have a problem with something I do or say. I can't risk MY truth because of someone else's response to it. In this episode, I'm digging into why we should all be unapologetically ourselves, why that doesn't mean we're being "bitches", and why we need to take some of the pressure off others who we admire.

Episode 88: Women Supporting Women is Not Just a Holiday or a Hashtag: Are You LIVING Your Message and Practicing What You Preach?
Happy International Women's Day! You ladies know I preach about the importance of supporting women every single day. I write about it in my books, I coach my clients on it, and I discuss it in my girl gang, the Slay Baby Collective. It's not just an annual holiday for me; I talk about it in television segments, on the radio, and on this podcast every single week. It’s my passion and my life’s work. On social media, one of the ways to promote this message and connect with other like-minded women is to use hashtags like #girlpower, #womenempoweringwomen, and #endgirlhate, to name a few. If you’ve searched these tags, you’ve probably seen more and more accounts popping up lately with the same message. And it’s not just Instagram that’s making girl power so cool lately. Pins, patches, and tee shirts available at major retailers like Nordstrom and Bloomingdales with cutesy terms like “Girl Gang” are popping up everywhere. But the question is, are women really practicing what they post, and wear? And will they practice it beyond a few months of pretty quotes on social media and a sweatshirt from Wildfox? I ask this, not because I’m doubtful. If anything, I’m hopeful. I think it’s wonderful that women are seeing the importance of getting behind each other. But I want to encourage all of us to check in with ourselves and make sure we’re taking these terms and applying them to our lives and our careers. Grab my coaching workbook and lifestyle guide, Style Your Mind, here.

Episode 72: Transparency Will Get You Everywhere: How TRUE Connections Are Made
In this quickie, I'm sharing my thoughts on transparency, empowered storytelling, and why being completely real with your audience will build the most powerful connections you could ever imagine. If you have struggled with being vulnerable, this episode will help you open up and begin to experience life in a much more meaningful way.
As some of you may know, I have been exploring my relationship with alcohol since the end of 2015. You can read more about my journey on the blog (click here), but I know I am not alone when I say drinking does not always serve me. In fact, it rarely does. Throughout the years, I've found myself hungover on way too many occasions, unable to reach my health and fitness goals, and just not operating at my optimal capacity. It has wreaked havoc on my confidence, left me in a bit of a fog at times, and hindered my spirit. I am ready to LEVEL UP in 2018, and booze isn't really a part of that program. I'm not saying I will never touch a drink again, but I am seriously cutting back - again. If you're considering a Dry January, an indefinite break from alcohol, or you just feel like you want to cut back a few days a week, then this episode may motivate you to do just that. Episode 61: A Story About London, Patience + The Magic of Blind Faith
On a cold November night in 2013, I boarded a plane at JFK airport by myself to go to London. I decided to take a solo trip to get inspired, and meet with the only 2 readers I knew I had there. I was in heavy fantasy mode, dreaming about what it would be like to quit my job at MTV and do what I love - and also bring my brand to the U.K. In this episode I share that story and also talk about the importance of patience and the magic of believing in something when nobody else can see it but you.

Episode 54: How to Boost Your CONFIDENCE and Reclaim Your Power Through Positive Self-Talk + Confidence-Building Habits
A few months ago, my publisher reached out to me to let me know that they wanted ME on the cover of my new book (insert freak out moment here!) I had a TON of emotions flowing through me when I got the news – I was super flattered, nervous, excited, anxious - you name it. I happily agreed, but kind of put it out of my head until a few days ago when my editor emailed me to say they had scheduled the shoot – and it was happening in less than 2 weeks! For anyone listening who has ever had a big event – whether it was your wedding, your own book cover, your brand photo shoot, a big presentation – ANYTHING like that – you know the feeling of paranoia that sweeps over you when you’re just a few days away from that big day. I felt those nervous feelings creeping in when I learned about the shoot, but this time, I was able to stop myself in my tracks and flip that anxiety into peacefulness by RECLAIMING my POWER. Rather than stressing out, I decided to get into action and start doing confidence-building activities that would make me feel good. And I want to share the EXACT steps I took with you guys so that you can use them as inspiration if you find yourself in a similar situation where your insecurity takes over. Episode 48: How to Get into a HIGH VIBRATION and Attract Amazing Things Into Your Life
Have you ever had one of those days where you just feel awesome? Everything feels in flow, you feel clear, energized, ideas are flowing, you feel creative and just in the zone? That is what it means to be in a high vibe. It’s basically that feeling where you believe EVERYTHING is possible and nothing can get in your way. (I love those days!) On the flip side, there’s that state of being in a LOW vibration. That’s where you feel stuck, frustrated, jealous, BROKE, drained. All those crappy feelings that NOBODY has time for. If you’ve struggled with getting into that HIGH VIBE state, there are some ways you can shift your energy instantly so that you can feel fabulous and start attracting amazing things into your life and I'm sharing them all in this episode. I'm also sharing a personal story about how I shifted my vibration before leaving my full-time job to pursue my dreams. Because I do not believe we can live our best lives while we're in a low vibration. All change starts with our ENERGY. POWER QUOTES from this episode: "You have every opportunity in every moment of every day to choose a high vibration." "What we attract is a direct reflection of our energetic state." This episode's MANTRA: "My natural vibration is of joy, clarity, energy and love. I redirect any thoughts that do not serve my highest self." THANK YOU to our sponsor! Melissa Leger, coach, relationship expert + creator of Gumball Love Get on Melissa’s VIP list at GumballLove.com to learn more about her work and sign up for her next Academy (the next and final one of the year begins next week, October 11th!) Episode 47: Do You Feel SUCCESSFUL?
Most of us learned from a young age to equate success with money and power. We hold high-powered CEOs, rich entrepreneurs and celebrities on pedestals, assuming that because they are “successful,” they have it all. We click through their Instagram feeds in awe, we binge-watch their reality television shows, and we spend our hard-earned money to see them speak and perform. But do we ever wonder if they are actually HAPPY? I invite you to redefine success with me today. I invite you to acknowledge that SUCCESS IS A STATE OF MIND. Something we all have access to. Something we can choose to tap into. And in this episode, I'm showing you how. Power quotes from this episode: "When we operate from a place of power, we understand that if we believe we are successful, then we are." "I invite you to acknowledge that success is a state of mind and it is something we all have access to." Grab the Style Your Mind workbook here: www.styleyourmind.com

Have you ever found yourself clicking around on Instagram or Facebook innocently enough, looking for “inspiration” – only to find yourself feeling totally consumed by someone else's life or business? I know its happened to me, and its happened to pretty much EVERY single woman I know. In this episode, I'm giving you actionable tips for how to get out of "compare and despair" mode, elevate your thinking, and stop thinking about what SHE'S got and start focusing on what YOU have. Power quotes from this episode: "One of the most common qualities of the evolved woman, as I love to call her, is that she does not allow feelings of comparison to swallow her whole." "When you have mastered yourself, you naturally celebrate another woman: her beauty, her success, and her accomplishments." "When you stand in your own power, competition dissolves."

Episode 45: The Art of LETTING GO: How to Release Your Past and Make Room for the New
“We can’t become what we need to be by remaining who we are” - Oprah. When we release something from our lives, we allow ourselves to detach from thoughts, feelings, people, and situations that are no longer meant to take up space. Whether it’s a relationship that has run its course, or a job that is no longer a fit for you, or a home you once lived in, we must let go of these things to invite the new. We must let go of the past in order to evolve. And as I always say, an evolving mind is a healthy mind. In this episode, I'm giving you actionable tools on how to let go and start enjoying the next phase of your life.
