Vanessa Bennett Is Grateful To Heal Intergenerational Trauma: The Unconscious, Radical Responsibility, & True Intimacy
When we embark on our healing journey (which is a journey of a lifetime!), it is so important to acknowledge the truths that we are not only healing from our own personal experiences but we are also healing from intergenerational trauma and from collective wounds. Our special guest Vanessa Bennett - LMFT, Author, Facilitator, Podcaster of the Cheaper Than Therapy Podcast, and Mama - offers us professional insights and perspectives that inform us of what it takes to really heal. As we expand on the healing journey, we explore the significance of healing in relationships and allowing ourselves to be seen in our messiness, our imperfection, our not having it all together - emphasizing that vulnerability is required to experience true intimacy.Other topics that we discuss in this conversation include (but are not limited to): depth psychology, the collective unconscious, collective healing, mind body spirit interconnectedness, radical responsibility, mirroring relationships, healing in a healthy way, and codependency. LaNia Roberts Is Grateful To Know God: Rewriting Your Story, Being Real With Yourself, & Trusting Life
When we dream to live an unconventional life, we must fully accept that it requires us to walk an unconventional path. And unconventional paths are paths that require us to fully embrace the unknown, practice radical acceptance, and deeply trust along the way that we are being led to where we dream to be.For LaNia Roberts, her unconventional dream life includes being an artist. This unconventional dream life of hers is one that has manifested and in this conversation, she shares with us what walking the unconventional path has looked and felt like. A large part of the journey for her has been the reclamation of her voice, the rewriting of many stories she'd made agreements with that weren't true, and lots of keeping it real with herself. We talk art as a tool for self-expression and liberation, redefining beauty, truly allowing yourself to feel what you feel, healing and the boredom that comes with healing, letting go of unaligned relationships and beliefs, uncovering truths and lies, and so much more. Sabrina Flores Is Grateful To Heal Over Time: Unrealistic & Realistic Expectations For Healing & Healthy Relationships
Do we need to be fully healed to experience a healthy relationship? What is required of us to experience a healthy relationship? Are our partners at all responsible for our healing? What if we have different attachment styles? How do we know whether or not we should walk away from a relationship? These are all questions (amongst others) that we explore and expand on in this conversation with Trauma-Informed Love Coach, Sabrina Flores. At a time where we have access to so many varying (and conflicting) words of advice surrounding healing and healthy relationships, it can feel conflicting to know what advice to follow and not to follow. What's beautiful about this conversation and about speaking with Sabrina Flores is that she vulnerably, openly shares with us her own personal stories (past and present) that support her coaching. This is an insightful episode all about the healing journey, healthy relationships, and healing in healthy relationships.Follow Sabrina On InstagramWork with Sabrina 1-on-1Explore More of SabrinaSupport the showThank you for bringing this podcast into your present moment and thank you for consciously listening! Jocelyn Is Grateful To Embrace The Unknown: Living In The Present Moment & Expecting The Unexpected
When we talk about living in the present moment, we also have to talk about embracing the unknown because the present moment is the unknown. This is one major reason why most people don't live in the present moment. Rather than living in the present moment, most people live in the past (is this you?) because the past is familiar, and therefore, feels easier to control. When life feels "controllable," life feels safer and easier and comfortable.Living in the present moment takes a lot of courage because it requires us to surrender the illusion of control and surrender to the unknown. This conversation intends to clarify why the present moment is the unknown, how embracing the unknown is powerful, and intends to comfort you in the discomfort of expecting the unexpected. Justin Tristao Is Grateful To Be Of Service: What Is Healthy Masculinity & How To Heal Unhealthy Masculinity
Living in a society that encourages unhealthy masculinity creates a society that suppresses feminine energy, which is the energy of surrender, of trust, of nourishment, of intuitive knowing. We are living in a time now where the masculine and feminine energies that exist within us individually and collectively are being awakened and balanced.Especially over the last few years, we've grown aware of the unhealthy, wounded, toxic masculine traits that have driven us towards disconnection and depletion. We've begun to experience the rise of feminine energy, as we grow called to let go of the need to control, of the need to know it all, and rest in the present moment. This conversation, with our special guest Justin Tristao, gifts us clarity revolving healthy and unhealthy masculinity. We expand on the healing and awakening journey of both the masculine and feminine, and the responsibilities we have as individuals in this journey of healing and awakening.Topics we touch on include: The gratitude of healthy masculines & femininesThe masculine-favored society we live inBlockages that manifest in the unhealthy masculineLife changes that we experience as we begin to healThe importance of safe spacesTaking responsibility for our healingPerpetuating generational cyclesHow children are great teachersRegulating your nervous system/emotionsFollow Justin On InstagramPrivate Mentorship with JustinSubscribe To Justin's Mailing ListSupport the showThank you for bringing this podcast into your present moment and thank you for consciously listening! Arielle Estoria Is Grateful To Feel Everything: Returning To Your True Self, Defining Home, & Life Unfolding
What if all of life is a journey of unfolding into your true Self? And what if there were phases to this unfolding? Our guest, Arielle Estoria, shares with us the five phases of our life unfoldment, which she expands on in her latest book, The Unfolding: An Invitation to Coming Home To Your True Self.Actor, Poet, and Author, Arielle, observed her becoming and unbecoming in the last few years and noticed that coming home to your true Self is a process. To Arielle, we awaken to the changes that need to happen, we grieve who we once were while we create space for who we're becoming, we healingly piece our Self and our life back together, we open our Self up to embrace the Light within and without, and we ultimately end up home - as our true Self. In this conversation, Arielle and I explore the parts of her story that revealed and clarified these phases leading her back home. We talk about how there is a lot of unbecoming in becoming, how dismantling takes place when new foundations are built, how what others may be envisioning for us may not actually be for us, and beyond. Madeline Popelka Is Grateful To Embody Compassion: Healing From PTSD, Generational Trauma, & Validating Yourself
PTSD symptoms don't always show up right after a traumatic experience. Sometimes the symptoms arrive years later when you least expect. For our special guest, Madeline Popelka - who is the Founder of one of the largest healing communities on Instagram and Author of the recently published book, You're Going To Be Okay - she didn't experience her PTSD symptoms that stemmed from childhood and generational trauma until her late twenties. In this conversation, Madeline and I talk about the healing journey and what that has looked (and felt) like for her. We expand on one of her most important lessons she learned on her journey - to hold onto the goodness and allow yourself to experience good feeling feelings, such as joy. We acknowledge the truth that even positive change can feel triggering for those healing from trauma and other truths as well. This is an honest and encouraging conversation between two women who have experienced trauma and have actively chosen (and continue to choose) to heal. Jocelyn Is Grateful To Be Here, Now: The Practice & Power of Being In The Present Moment
Imagine being able to look back at your life and say, “I was present for all of it.” I don’t know about you but I desire to be able to genuinely say that. Being present has been my main mental, physical and spiritual practice for the past year now and, as time passes, I continue to expand my conscious awareness as to why being present is so powerful. I have truly come to fully believe that being present is the best thing we can be. It is in the present moment where we are our most powerful - not just because when we are present we take our power back from the past and familiar future but also because when we are present, we are in a state of flow and in a state of receptivity. We become open and receptive to divine intelligence, divine guidance and divine inspiration. Being present is a practice. And it is so worth the practice. In this episode, I share with you some of my reflections and realizations that have come from my practice of being present. My intention is to have you walk away from listening to this episode feeling greater clarity, confidence, and comfort regarding being here, now. Other topics I touch on include:one of my most sobering, awakening realizationswhat "familiar future" meansbeing in survival modewhat "giving our power away" meanswhy being present is a practicewhy we already know how to be presentSupport the showThank you for bringing this podcast into your present moment and thank you for consciously listening! Jocelyn Is Grateful For Her Exes: Being Grateful For Relationships That Ended
Hating on our exes honestly makes no sense to me. I wouldn’t have the healthy relationships I have now without my exes. I wouldn’t be who I am today without my exes. The acknowledgement of these two truths alone is like… why wouldn’t I be grateful for my exes? And I'm not just referring to past lovers and partners. I'm referring to all my exes - ex friends included. In my opinion, being grateful for our exes is a really healing, healthy and mature thing to do (when it's genuine of course). My intention in sharing this conversation with you is to inspire you to be grateful for your exes (and your past in general) in such a way where you take your power back and move on with your life as a wiser version of you. I expand on why we need to evolve from hating on our exes, why being grateful for our past is powerful, why I personally am grateful for my exes, and why you can be grateful for your exes, too. I also offer you some shifts in perspective regarding break ups. Jocelyn Is Grateful To Manifest Healthy Relationships: How To Attract Who & What You Deserve
Over the course of the past year, I have been deepening and developing relationships that feel like answered prayers (and they totally are). It's no coincidence that the year I begin to manifest healthy relationships in my life that are good for my mind, body, and Spirit, followed the couple of years I spent turning inward. Though I still have so much to learn about healthy relationships and about my own Self, I've gotten to a point where I feel confident enough to have this conversation with you about attracting the healthy relationships you deeply desire and deserve. In this episode, I share my reflections and realizations regarding manifesting healthy relationships. I also share a bit about my past relationships and why it's important we observe those. Jocelyn Is Grateful To Be Disciplined: A Successful Life Is A Disciplined Life
Some are for discipline. Other are against discipline. And for a while, I wasn't sure whether I was for it or against it but I've come to the clarity that I am absolutely for it. I not only believe that a successful life is a disciplined life but I believe that discipline is a part of nature, and if nature weren't disciplined, all of life would cease to exist! Also, what if I told you that you are disciplined? Everyday, you are disciplined. You are actually really good at being disciplined. The focus then, really, isn't how to become a disciplined person but to be consciously aware of and intentional about how you're disciplined and what you're being disciplined for. Hilary Jackendoff Is Grateful For Self-Inquiry: Turning Inward, Honoring Your Energy, & Being Your Own Teacher
When life gets tough, most of the time, people just want easy answers. So they seek for answers outside of themselves - online, in relationships, at work. And while some external findings do bring forth temporary clarity, it's never the clarity that brings forth long-lasting results. The answers most of us are seeking are answers that are only found when we stop searching outside of us and turn inward. Two years living as a sannyasin (yogic monk) at an ashram and eight years fully immersed in a guru-based, Tantric Yogic tradition, Hilary Jackendoff ultimately came to the realization that she would never find the freedom she was seeking if she kept searching outside of her Self. In this conversation, we expand on the journey of turning inward and learning how to be (as well as the importance of being) our own teacher. Hilary is an Ashram-trained Yoga Nidra and Meditation Teacher, Teacher Trainer, and Human Design Reader. Jocelyn Is Grateful For 2023: This Year is YOUR Year, Let's Affirm It
I wasn't planning on publishing an episode specifically about 2023 but I had a change of mind, as I felt called and inspired to record a conversation we can all return to through the year and replay when we feel the need to be gently reminded and encouraged that this year is our year - regardless of external circumstances, current situations, and/or if expectations are being met. Many people have expressed that they feel "this year is MY year" and it truly feels that way. 2023 feels like a year where it all begins to make sense, where the rewards are rewarded, where the fruit begins to bear. And I'd love for us to remain in this feeling, in this energy. Jocelyn Is Grateful To Allow Her Self to “Start Over”: Pivoting In Relationships, In Career, In Life
One of the most important perspectives I gained in regards to "starting over" and pivoting in life is that... when we intuitively feel called to start over and pivot, it's a sign that we've completed a cycle and it's time to move onto a new one. This perspective of completion gifted me a sense of wholeness, which encouraged me to move onward and upward.I write "starting over" in quotations because I, personally, don't believe we're ever really starting over. I believe we're always starting over with experience and experience doesn't leave us empty handed in our endings and beginnings. I expand on this in this episode and I also expand on the various types of pivots I've experienced in the past couple of years, why fearing pivoting is rooted in lack and limitation, the weight of resistance leading to surrender, and more! I also offer some reflectional prompts and affirmations."At the end of the day, when all is said and done, if you want to grow and expand into your higher potentials, you have to allow your Self to start over. You have to allow your Self to pivot. You will only grow more burdened and confined when you resist your renewal. And you are so worthy of experiencing your higher potentials, in every aspect of your life."Support the showThank you for bringing this podcast into your present moment and thank you for consciously listening! Jocelyn Is Grateful For Her 28-Year-Old Self: Relaxing Is Powerful
🎙 "If my 28-year-old Self were to give a gift to my 29-year-old Self, I feel like that gift would be an open heart. I feel like that gift would be readiness. I feel like that gift would be a calm, regulated nervous system and a strong spiritual foundation." - JocelynWhen I turned 28, I published an episode expressing my gratitude for my 27-year-old Self. It only felt right to now publish an episode expressing gratitude to my 28-year-old Self. This episode is the very last episode I publish as my 28-year-old Self. *insert grateful tear hereAs I've reflected on my 28th year... at first it felt like an incredibly uneventful year but then as I continued to reflect, I realized that 28 was my year of calm. Deeply rooted calm, regardless of my external circumstances. And perhaps, that may be why it at first felt uneventful... because I was calm through it all. The version of me that is 28 really feels like a version that is a devotee. A devotee devoted to continuing to deepen her relationship with the Divine and strengthen her spiritual foundation. A devotee that was focused and determined and inspired to fully integrate and embody all the healing and awakening that was experienced in 27. I was calm as a spiritual practice. I was relaxing as a spiritual practice. And one of the lessons I learned is that relaxing is powerful. When I say relaxing, I am referring to relaxing as a form of surrender, as a form of faith. 28 was beautiful, even in its seeming uneventfulness. I am grateful. Thank you for listening to my reflections! And thank you, 28. 🤎Get a FREE one year supply of Vitamin D + 5 AG1 Travel Packs hereSupport the showThank you for bringing this podcast into your present moment and thank you for consciously listening! Jocelyn Is Grateful To Grow Comfortable & Confident Expressing The Truth
🎙 "If you have to suppress a truth in order to keep the peace in a relationship or in an environment… then is the peace really present? Where is the peace in that?" - JocelynThis is basically a conversation about why expressing the truth is awesome - even when the truth you're expressing feels uncomfortable. Not long ago I had a moment where I felt called to express an uncomfortable truth to someone and, after a short time suppressing it, I expressed it. And I felt so grateful! I am so grateful to grow comfortable and confident expressing the truth. I am so grateful for all the moments I witness my Self choosing differently, choosing to express the truth out of love and breaking the unhealthy pattern of suppressing the truth out of fear (like I have many times in the past). Andy Nguyen Is Grateful To Be Blessed: Allowing Your Self To Change, Pursuing Big Ideas, & Learning From Failure
🎙 "If I stuck to my original goals, I wouldn't be where I'm at. I'm in a completely different field that I would've never imagined ten, twenty years ago." - Andy NguyenFrom real estate to streetwear to the food industry (and multiple other seemingly random ventures in-between), successful Serial Entrepreneur and Co-Founder, Andy Nguyen, has experienced an unpredictable yet divinely orchestrated entrepreneurial journey. A success that has come with many highs and lows, Andy has grown confident in allowing himself to change, trusting his gut, and pursuing big ideas as soon as the inspiration strikes (even if that big idea calls for a major pivot). With over twenty concepts built in just the last eight years in over sixty locations worldwide, Andy has (partly) learned that it's okay if and when plans change. He welcomes the evolutionary nature of life and has come to realize that, ultimately, his dreams always come true in ways beyond his scope of imagination. Some of the businesses Andy has Co-Founded include Afters Ice Cream, Dough & Arrow, Matte Black Coffee, Bored & Hungry, and Trill Burgers (which was named the best burger in America by Good Morning America). Food Network called Andy "the mash-up king in the food industry." You can follow him on Instagram here. This is an inspiring conversation that ultimately encourages you to be your true Self, follow your passions, and trust the divine unfoldment of your life! Failures contribute to your growth. Jocelyn Is Grateful To Accept Grief As A Part Of Life: Moving Forward With Grief
🎙 "Had I known that we all grieve differently and that you don’t really move on from grief, especially not when it’s a grief of a dear loved one, I feel like that would’ve lifted a lot of weight off my already weighted shoulders." - JocelynGrief is an inescapable part of the human experience. There is no escaping the experience of grief. That said, I feel it is important that we talk about it. I wasn't planning on publishing an episode on grief at this time but the unexpected death of our cat moved me to have this heart-to-heart conversation with you, as I know I'm not alone in feeling grief at this time. Over the past couple of years, we've experienced both individual and collective grief (of many sorts), so I pray this conversation bring you comfort in some way. I am grateful I've accepted grief as a part of life because the acceptance assisted my healing. After the loss of my father, I realized that that grief wasn't ever going to go away and the sooner I accepted that, the sooner I was able to move forward with my grief, rather than spending time efforting (and struggling) to move on from it.In this conversation, I'm sharing my personal reflections on grief, some of what I have learned, and more. Brian "Z" Zisook Is Grateful To Be Alive: Staying True To Your Values, Confidently Pivoting, & Success In Business
🎙 "The faster you move, the more mistakes that you make." - Brian "Z" ZisookAlthough staying true to your values and honoring your intentions may, at times, call for taking the longer route, it's worth it. It also contributes to you experiencing your true success! Brian "Z" Zisook Co-Founded two incredibly genuine (and successful) companies that internally and externally reflect being "for the people" and it's in large part because he and his team remained in alignment with their mission and vision. As we hear from Brian's story, though, sometimes as you're in alignment with your vision, you have to be willing to take risks, make sacrifices and adjustments as needed. Having a business partner that compliments you definitely helps. Brian's business partner for both DJBooth and Audiomack, David Macli, is the visionary, while Brian is the logistic. This complimentary duo makes for a successful entrepreneurial journey that we expand on in this conversation. Aside from business, we also expand on Brian's personal life as a son, as a father, as a husband and how all of those roles and aspects of his life contribute to his overall success. Unexpectedly being a caregiver for his mother at a young age, being mindful of his marriage, and birthing a daughter all shaped the caring, genuine personality that is Brian Zisook. Jocelyn Is Grateful To Know Having A Lot Of Ideas Is A Blessing, Not A Burden
🎙 "Anything that you suppress will eventually feel like a burden, whether it’s an idea or an emotion or an experience or a thought." - JocelynIn our last one-on-one conversation (episode 71), I touched on being someone who has a lot of ideas and being someone who is grateful to have a lot of ideas. Ever since I can remember, I have always had a lot of ideas but it wasn't until a few years ago that I actually started seeing my abundance of ideas as a blessing and not as a burden. After years of pursuing my ideas and bringing them to life, I realized many reasons why having a lot of ideas is a blessing and I realized many reasons why having a lot of ideas can feel like a burden. And the truth is... our ideas are not the burden, we are. I feel called to have this conversation with you because I know there are many brilliant minds and hearts out there with lots of ideas but also lots of overwhelm, doubt, and confusion. How can you start to see your ideas as blessings, not burdens? What do you do when you have a lot of ideas? Where do you start? Which idea do you pursue first? What happens when you do start pursuing and bringing your ideas to life? There's a lot we can discuss in regards to this but this episode is a great place for us to start the conversation.🤎Get a FREE one year supply of Vitamin D + 5 AG1 Travel Packs here Topics we touch on in this conversation include (but are not limited to):why having a lot of ideas is a blessinghow to shift your perspective on your ideaswhy ideas can feel like burdensthe number one thing to do when you have a lot of ideaswhich idea to pursue firstthe blueprint of bringing ideas to lifeaffirmations for you and your ideasSupport the showThank you for bringing this podcast into your present moment and thank you for consciously listening! Tone Levels Is Grateful To Release: Overcoming Yourself, Being Comfortable With Discomfort, & Divine Feminine Healing
🎙 "How can we expect to enter the Temple of God when we can't even take care of the Temple that God gave us?" - Tone Levels I'd like to preface this description by saying that the substance and depth of this conversation is a pure reflection of the substance and depth my Self and my guest have explored within our Self. These beautiful, open, awakening conversations are expressed between two people when each of those two people have these kinds of conversations with their Self. Tone Levels, also known on socials as The Blood That Heals, is a Sacred Masculine that has come a long way "from operating fully as matter. He was in the streets, jail consecutively, letting his emotions control him, and his perception on life. Not realizing that his perception, his mind, the way that he thinks shapes his reality and his life." (in his own words) In this profound conversation (that I feel everybody needs to listen to), we expand on where he is ascending from, what he confronted in him Self, and so much of what he has expanded his conscious awareness about, such as: the importance of eating natural, whole foods, being Spirit and consciousness, honoring his body temple, divine masculinity and femininity, the power of cultivating sexual energy, how to forgive him Self, the journey being the destination, and ultimately, that in him overcoming him Self, he can overcome any and everything beyond him. This is truly such a special episode. Jocelyn Is Grateful To Liberate Her Creativity & Accept How Her Creations Divinely Unfold
🎙 "The best thing the Creator creates is the Creator." - Jocelyn We all have an inner-Creator that seeks to be liberated and empowered by pure love and pure passion. And I sincerely believe we are all being called to honor this truth and embrace, as well as unleash, the Creator within us.For the past almost couple of years I have been diligently and devotedly creating multiple creations, including this podcast. I've created the most content I have ever created in my entire life! When I first committed my Self to my tunnel vision and consistency, I sincerely believed my whole life was going to change within six months. I really thought that after six months of hardcore focus my whole life was going to be different and my creations were going to be responsible for that. And... my life did change - just not the way my ego expected. And when my egos expectations weren't met, I began to doubt my Self as a creator and doubt what I was/am creating. It's one thing to step into your power by creating what you feel called to create and it's another thing to allow what you're creating to be in a state of flow and divinely unfold in divine timing (with little to no expectations). I am so grateful to be arriving to this acceptance and surrender that allows what I create to simply Be and be enough. I am grateful to let go of expectations and sincerely liberate my creativity. I am grateful to be approaching and creating and Being in relationship with my visions differently. And I am excited to expand in conversation with you about this! fellow Creator.Support the showThank you for bringing this podcast into your present moment and thank you for consciously listening! Jocelyn Is Grateful To Be Healing Her Sense Of Self-Worth: Reflections, Affirmations, & Declarations Of A Worthy Life
🎙 "When you don’t wholeheartedly know what you are worthy of, you will settle for less." - Jocelyn I know I'm not alone in healing my sense of self-worth, in reflecting on my worthiness. What really triggered this for me was the pandemic. "Losing everything" had me feeling like I also lost my worth and my value. But this didn't wholeheartedly feel true to me. It didn't feel true to me that our worth and our value is dependent on our external circumstances, on our performance, on our achievements. And that's because that isn't the truth. Having this conversation about self-worth and expanding our conscious awareness about our own sense of self-worth is so important because our sense of self-worth impacts and influences our lives in so many ways we aren't even aware of. We need to know, wholeheartedly know, our worthiness is innate. We need to know, wholeheartedly know, we are worthy of love, of joy, regardless of what we have or don't have, regardless of who we are or are not. We are worthy. If you've been exploring your self-worth, if you too have been contemplating this or perhaps have felt called to - this conversation is especially for you. And I pray you walk away from this episode with more clarity, confidence, and comfort in your worth.Topics we touch on in this conversation include (but are not limited to):Worthiness being innateHow the environment we were raised in affected our self-worthBeing conditioned to believe you have to earn your worthinessWhy it's important we heal our sense of self-worthHow to heal your sense of self-worthInner-child healing & ancestral healingWhat happens when you heal your sense of self-worthWhat happens when you have a low sense of self-worthSupport the showThank you for bringing this podcast into your present moment and thank you for consciously listening! Christine Hernandez Is Grateful For This Life: Heart Opening Cacao, Remembering Your Roots, & Being A Healer
What began as a pursuit into the yogic path led to the introduction to cacao medicine and ceremony, which then led Christine Olivia Hernandez to a heart opening journey of spiritual, divine unfoldment. Christine did not know all that cacao would lead her to but she knew when she first experienced its medicine that she was called to deepen her relationship with it, explore it, and introduce others to its healing gift. Christine's life story is a testament of what happens when you answer your callings and journey with an open heart - healing happens, soul purpose fulfillment happens, sisterhood happens, love happens, divine partnership happens, ancestral and inner-child work happens, and beyond. Now a Cacao Ceremonialist, Author, and Founder of the Maltyox Method, Christine is devoted to honoring her Guatemayan Ancestors, enriching others lives by sharing her gifts, embodying gratitude, and continuing to walk the path to remembering. Jocelyn Is Grateful To Know That It's Bigger Than Her: Expanding Your Perspective
🎙 "Don't count your Self out just because you think the Universe hasn't counted you in." - Jocelyn Is it just me or do you also feel the cosmic, Universal encouragement to take a step back & see the bigger picture? Is it just me or have you also felt called to expand your perspective & not be so fixated on what you see right in front of you? This episode is inspired by this encouragement, by this calling. Knowing that it's bigger than you is helpful. It helps you realize you're not alone, it relieves you from the weight of overwhelming your Self with unnecessary responsibility, it reminds you that you don't have complete control - ever, & motivates you. Too often we forget that it's bigger than us, it's bigger than what we see right in front of us, it's bigger than our current circumstances, it's bigger than the stories we know & tell ourselves. Too often we contribute to the limits of our beliefs, our perceptions, our narratives & it stunts our growth. It stagnates us. It distances us from the truth. In this episode, we are taking that moment to take a step back and see the bigger picture. I am sharing with you three ways it's bigger than you, why knowing it's bigger than you is helpful, reflectional prompts to get your contemplations flowing, & gratitude affirmations to bring our conversation full circle.Topics we touch on in this conversation include (but are not limited to):Three ways it's bigger than youWhy knowing it's bigger than you is helpfulThe importance of knowing your true SelfThe value of knowing who you are notHow to discover your purposeMaking an impact on the worldAllowing your Self to explore & make mistakesNot taking things personallyRelationships that endSpiritual awakening & healingDivine timingSupport the showThank you for bringing this podcast into your present moment and thank you for consciously listening! Jocelyn Is Grateful For Solitude (Part 02): How Solitude May Change Your Life & Lead To Your Awakening
🎙️"Gentle reminder that you are worthy of approaching solitude as an intentional, spiritual practice that not only brings you closer to your Self but to the divine." - JocelynWe are continuing the conversation on solitude. In episode 61, I expanded on my own personal journey through solitude. In this episode, I am getting straight to the point on how solitude may change your life (as it did mine) and am offering some affirmations, reflectional prompts, and gentle reminders for you and your own relationship with solitude. As of now, in this moment as I type this, episode 61 is the most listened to episode I've published to date, which inspired me to make this "part 02" and gift you some words of encouragement. As I mentioned in this episode, if it weren't for the solitude I've experienced in the past couple of years, I wouldn't have experienced the most profound healing and spiritual awakening that I have in the past couple of years. I have become an advocate for solitude (as I am an advocate for community healing, too). I encourage you to gift your Self grace and compassion as you listen to this episode and as I guide you through some self-inquiry. If you enjoyed the format of this conversation, please let me know (on social media, via email or Apple Podcast reviews) as I decided to try something new! I personally really enjoyed offering you some affirmations, prompts and reminders.🕰 Timestamps0:00 Intro5:21 Gratitude Affirmations9:51 06 Ways Solitude Heals29:48 Reflectional Prompts37:04 Gentle Reminders of Worthiness40:34 OutroSupport the showThank you for bringing this podcast into your present moment and thank you for consciously listening! 🎙 "Most of my life has been spent in the passenger seat or the back seat of the car of my life, so to speak. Jocelyn Is Grateful For Solitude: How Solitude Changed Her Life & Led To Her Awakening
🎙️"In solitude no one can influence or distract you - other than your Self. And at that point you have to ask your Self, 'Why am I distracting my Self? What am I distracting my Self from?" - JocelynAt the end of 2020, I decided to move into my own apartment, alone, with the intention to fully process and heal from all the losses I had recently experienced. At first, the solitude was incredibly challenging, as I naturally dove into shadow work to confront what needed to be confronted. Over a year later, as my solitude proceeds, I feel incredibly grateful I didn't run away from being alone with my Self, from listening to the calling to be alone and finally hold the safe space I'd needed to shed my Self from the attachments, illusions, traumas, etc. that'd been taking up space and blocking my clarity of who I truly am. All the solitude and healing evolved into the most profound spiritual awakening I've experienced in my life. I have never been more grounded, more centered, more clear on my truth, my worthiness, my gifts, my divinity than I am now. So here I am, having this conversation with you, as I feel solitude is not only incredibly beautiful but incredibly necessary for those who desire to journey this life with peace of mind. Solitude is a gift you gift your Self, and it's such a special gift that will change you (in the best of ways - should you allow it to).Topics I touch on in this conversation include:my own personal seasons of solitudefearing and enjoying solitudeacknowledging when you need to healdoing shadow workhow solitude leads you to your true Selfhow solitude leads you to awakeningwhy solitude is essential for the mindrestoring balance in your lifesocietal and cultural programmingspracticing energetic hygienelosing your Self after experiencing lossSupport the showThank you for bringing this podcast into your present moment and thank you for consciously listening! Doug Stevenson Is Grateful For Unanswered Prayers: Life Transitions, Letting Go, & Divine Alignment
🎙 "This wasn't just letting go of acting in Hollywood, this was letting go of who I thought I was." - Doug StevensonBeing in a state of transition isn't always easy, comfortable, or even desired. Sometimes we don't want to transition from where we are. Other times we have no idea where we're transitioning to. And for Doug Stevenson who recently transitioned into retirement, being in a state of transition is a state worth being present for and receptive to.Retiring from a successful few decades of coaching Storytelling/Keynote Speakers at first felt forced upon Doug. He had planned on retiring soon but not now. However, life had other plans - as it often does. Now that Doug has settled into this new season of his life, he has had the space and time to reflect on all of his life transitions, all of the times he felt resistant to them, and just how divinely aligned they all actually were. In this conversation, Doug and I expand on his life and all the unanswered prayers he's grateful for, all the letting go and surrendering he had to do, all the divinity that was at play, and the lessons he learned along the way. This is an inspiring and affirmative conversation for those who find themselves in the midst of unknowns and uncertainty, for those who enjoy hearing about synchronicities and happy endings, for those who need to know that all is working in their favor. Jocelyn Is Grateful To Have Rekindled Her Relationship With Spirit & With Her True Self
🎙️"I realized that when we are in tune with our true selves, we are in tune with Spirit. For me, now, my true Self and Spirit are one in the same." - JocelynLately I have been reflecting a lot on just how grateful I am to have simply rekindled my relationship with Spirit. I will never forget the moment I thought to myself how disconnected I felt from Spirit, from divine guidance and protection. In this moment, I was in a toxic relationship that last four years. When I finally broke off this relationship and began my healing journey, I realized why I felt so disconnected, so out of tune. When you lose yourself the way I lost myself, you never ever want to lose yourself again and when you reawaken, you will make sure it never happens again. That moment where I acknowledged how distant I felt from the light within changed my life forever, changed my relationship with my Self and with Spirit forever. This is a short, yet honest and impactful conversation where I expand on this moment with you and on my sincerest gratitude for having reconnected with all that is divine. Erin Claire Jones Is Grateful For Her Journey: Human Design, Trusting Yourself, & Honoring What Makes You Different
🎙 "Those moments of really just trusting and not needing to know where it's all going but knowing that my body just knows more than I can conceive with my mind... I think those have been some of the most special moments of my life." - Erin Claire Jones Over the past couple of years, human design has grown popular as a tool for self-realization, understanding, and healing. Before then, however, human design was a concept select individuals felt called and ready to receive. Human Design Guide and Leadership Coach, Erin Claire Jones, aligned with human design in 2015. And though it took some years for Erin's passion for human design to flourish the way it is now, Erin didn't seek external validation to keep trusting herself and her calling to pursue this tool that is now assisting many. What I love about Erin Claire's approach to human design is her emphasis on how exploring and understanding our design doesn't reveal our limitations but rather reveals how we best show up in the world. She is passionate about bringing out the leader that exists in all of us and passionate about honoring what makes us all beautifully different. In this episode, Erin Claire and I explore her own personal (and spiritual) journey through human design and how her life has changed since it has grown in popularity. Jocelyn Is Grateful To Love & Feel Confident In Her Body Again
🎙️"More than likely, if you don’t have a good relationship with your body, you also don’t have a good relationship with your intuition." - JocelynI've spent most of my life being insecure. Within the last few years, I've grown confident in my body and therefore myself, and experiencing life with this newfound confidence has made me realize just how important it is to love and feel confident in your body. It greatly influences how you show up in the world. At first, I gained love for and confidence in my body because I was looking and feeling stronger from the gym. After experiencing kidney stones, however, and going from the best to the worst shape of my life... my love for and confidence in my body changed. Breathwork Coach, Ana Lilia has been investing in her healing for years now and come 2020, she experienced healing alongside her family in a way she hadn't experienced before. Jocelyn Is Grateful To Experience Jocelyn: Practicing Non-Attachment & Being The Observer
🎙️"...I feel it’s actually very healthy for us to do that, to think of and refer to ourselves in third-person because, again, it allows us to take the seat of the observer, to practice non-attachment." - JocelynReferring to myself in third person has been incredibly healing for me because it's allowed me to practice non-attachment. In referring to myself in third person, I am able to honor my expansiveness that exists beyond my humanness, I am able to acknowledge that Jocelyn is ultimately an experience I am experiencing, I am able to take the seat of the observer and witness Jocelyn's life. A large part of my healing work in the past couple of years has revolved attachments and identities. It's been incredibly awakening (and ascending) for me to release the attachments and identities that have distanced me from my truest essence and most authentic self. This episode and episode 53 greatly expand on my thoughts and reflections regarding this part of my healing journey. Practicing non-attachment and progressively strengthening my ability to observe my thoughts, my life, my being without attaching myself to them has made me increasingly honor, appreciate, and love experiencing Jocelyn. It's become clearer and clearer to me just how special not only I am but we all are in our fleeting, miraculous existence in this lifetime. Jocelyn Is Grateful To Expand Her Conscious Awareness Of Who She Is & To Not Limit Herself To Identities
🎙️"When we identify with these societal and cultural and overall human identities, we are not only our limiting our perception but limiting the abundance and expansiveness of who and what we truly are." - JocelynInitially... this episode was going to be dedicated to my expression of gratitude for experiencing Jocelyn - and yes, I mean to say that in third person. But for many to truly understand what I mean by this, what I mean by me being grateful to experience Jocelyn's personality, Jocelyn's soul development, Jocelyn's journey... I had to have this conversation with you about identities. A huge aspect of my most recent, significant spiritual awakening was "identity work." I invested time and energy into really observing and contemplating societal and cultural and overall human identities and how they influence us in how we show up in the world. Jocelyn Is Grateful For Everytime She's Healed (& How She's Healed) A Breakup Heartbreak
🎙️"We may lose touch with our hearts but our hearts never lose touch with us." - JocelynLet's talk about the breakup heartbreaks I've experienced and how I've chosen to heal from them. Trigger warning... I do bring up a toxic relationship and how I experienced abuse but I don't go into detail, I simply bring it up! As difficult as each breakup heartbreak was in its own unique way, I am sincerely so grateful for each of them because they all contributed to who I am today. I mention in this episode that I feel it was less of me healing my heartbreaks and more so my heartbreaks healing me. I, also, mention that I don't necessarily believe in heartbreaks. Tune in to hear why... In the midst of each breakup heartbreak, I honestly had my moment where I wasn't sure how I'd recover but I did. And I'm sure many of you have experienced this, too. I express that in our heartbreaks, we have two choices - to close ourselves off due to fear or to open ourselves up even more. I've always chosen to open up, and for that I am so grateful. Sade Ndya Is Grateful For Her Community: Being Intentional, Meaningful Relationships, & Becoming A Signed Cinematographer
🎙 "You have to live life to tell films." - Sade NdyaMoving with intention will get you far and Sade Ndya - a young, deservingly successful cinematographer recently signed to The Gersh Agency - is a prime example. It's less about becoming represented by an agency, though, and more about fostering meaningful relationships and saying yes to the projects that genuinely, creatively excite you. Sade never waited for opportunity to come to her. She began creating films as a student and at just 19-years-old, created her own freelance production company called The Red Futon. To no surprise, experiencing a growth spurt of success just a couple of years later not only catapulted her career but, also, her confidence in what she brings to the table. Being young, black, and a woman on set with a big role is an adjustment for many in the film industry, especially those who've been around for a while. Sade knows this and she shares with us how she's learned to set aside her ego and why it's important to cultivate community. This is an inspiring conversation with a motivated, up-and-coming cinematographer who's changing the industry and impacting many - one set at a time. Jocelyn Is Grateful To Know Unconditional Love & To Experience It As She Changes
🎙️"Now I know that I can unconditionally love someone without sacrificing my love of Self." - JocelynUnconditional love is greatly misunderstood. And this misunderstanding has caused so many of us to attract and remain in unhealthy relationship dynamics. We believe that because we unconditionally love someone, we must accept the harm they may cause us. This is not true. We believe that if we set a boundary with someone we unconditionally love, we love them less. This is not true. Unconditional love does not require of you to dishonor your Self! You can unconditionally love someone with boundaries. In this episode, I express my gratitude for not only knowing and more greatly understanding (healthy) unconditional love but also for experiencing unconditional love as I change. I know so many of us have recently awakened to who truly (unconditionally) loves us in all our seasons, in all our versions. These people are special, special. Myranda Bennett Is Grateful For Creator: Reclaiming Our Sovereignty, The Importance of Shadow Work, & Integration
As spirituality grows popular, so does our need to practice discernment and respect for indigenous practices and ancient traditions. In a society and culture where quick fixes gain attention and instant gratification, it is important we remember that healing takes time, returning home to our true selves takes time, unlearning and relearning takes time. Holy Guardian, Sovereign, Lakȟóta-Norse Myranda Bennett and I expand on what reclaiming our sovereignty looks like, (especially during these times), the importance of doing shadow work first (before coming into and offering your gifts), and integrating the lessons and modalities that unfold along the way. Myranda Bennett is the owner of Boundless Warrior and is also a High Priestess, Ritual Master, and Qabalist. Having been "doing the work" for over 20 years, Myranda is passionate in guiding others in their healing and remembering, whilst using her platform to shed light and educate others on dismantling programming, healing ancestral wounds, and fostering belief in self medicine. In this conversation we learn more about Myranda's journey of being lost and found, experiencing death and rebirth as she restructures her life in a way that honors her divine path and purpose. The main topics we touch on in this episode include:experiencing spiritual awakeningthe journey of healing and remembrancehaving a spiritual foundationdoing shadow work and manifestation workbringing balance to our perception of manifestationintegrating the medicine before offering itknowing what your own unique medicine isreclaiming our sovereignty🕰 Timestamps0:00 Intro1:13 Starting with Gratitude10:23 Remembering Our Truth14:26 Spiritual Foundation17:13 Doing The Shadow Work First21:14 Integrating The Medicine28:30 Knowing Your Own Medicine35:01 Reclaiming Our Sovereignty41:04 Ancestral Work45:37 Manifestation Work51:13 Healing Through ShameSupport the showThank you for bringing this podcast into your present moment and thank you for consciously listening! Jocelyn Is Grateful To Be Willing To Have Hard, Honest Conversations
🎙️"There are no healthy relationships without truth and therefore, there are no healthy relationships without hard conversations." - JocelynIn the last conversation between you and I, I expressed my gratitude for my willingness and how willingness changed my life. One willingness I am especially grateful for is my willingness (and honestly eagerness) to have hard, honest conversations. There's so much to unpack when it comes to hard conversations. In this episode, we are unpacking quite a bit. Our avoidance in having hard conversations runs deep. It's not only familial but cultural and societal, too. A lot of it has to do with us growing up and progressively hiding our true selves, therefore becoming uncomfortable with the truth. A lot of it also has to do with being programmed to believe certain topics are wrong to talk about (aka taboo). I touch on both of these things in this conversation (and more) and I pray that you leave this episode feeling inspired in some way, shape, or form. The main topics I touch on in this episode include:how hard conversations are honest conversationshow hard conversations contribute to healthy living/healthy relationshipsthe importance of safe spacesinner-child healinggenerational healinghow there's no escaping the truthtaboo topicstalking about deathSupport the showThank you for bringing this podcast into your present moment and thank you for consciously listening! Dr. Lydiana Garcia Is Grateful For Her Home: Generational Cycles, Questioning Beliefs, & Therapreneurship
Coming into 2020, Licensed Psychologist Dr. Lydiana Garcia had a gut feeling to step back, retreat from the world, and begin pouring into her own cup. Following this gut feeling marked the beginning of a new journey for Dr. Garcia that has since sprouted the inspiration to question societal programmings, reflect on her own ancestral cycles, shift how she is showing up in the world, and acknowledge the ways she can begin investing her energy more wisely. Aware that feeling shame and guilt have no place in healing, Dr. Garcia has been allowing herself to journey through this transformational season of her life with grace as she transitions into her 40s and does so at her own divine pace. No more rushing to do it all at once and get it all done now. This conversation encourages trusting your intuition, divine timing, and the little steps forward that contribute to a greater vision.Topics we touch on in this episode include:turning 40reflecting on how you've been spending your lifemotherhoodobserving the ancestral cycles of restlessness and hyper-independencesurvival modescarcity-based mindsetconnecting with your ancestorsthanking the signsnot feeling guilty in your spiritual practicelistening to your intuitionbeing in the wellness industry during 2020trusting your divine journey and purposediscovering and coming into your giftsThank you for tuning in and for being here! Jocelyn Is Grateful For Her Willingness & How Willingness Has Changed Her Life
🎙️"...I came to the knowing that it was and has been and continues to be my willingness that is largely responsible for my growth, for my transformation, for my ascension." - JocelynWhat are you willing to do? Who are you willing to be? And why?If willingness were a job, I think it would be thankless. And by that I mean... I feel willingness doesn't get the gratitude or credit it deserves for the power it has in changing our lives! For years I've emphasized how (conscious) awareness is the first step towards growth without acknowledging that the first step towards (conscious) awareness is willingness. In order to become (consciously) aware, we have to be willing to become (consciously) aware. In this episode, I express my sincerest gratitude for my willingness because it truly has changed my life. I am grateful I've been willing love again (and again) after heartbreak. I am grateful for the risks I've been willing to take to arrive to my successes because I believe in myself. I am grateful to have been willing to become aware of and confront my shadows because it has led to so much healing. We deserve to acknowledge our willingness because without it, where would we be?Support the showThank you for bringing this podcast into your present moment and thank you for consciously listening! 🎙️"I know what's ahead of me is much bigger than what's in front of me." - Savannah BrittWe can all agree that the past couple of years have shifted the way we respond to life and have gotten us reflecting on how we are choosing to live it. For Savannah Britt, Founder of The Brittprint Agency, this year has left her feeling proud of herself for growing through the highs and the lows. Jocelyn Is Grateful To Know She Doesn't Need To Identify With Her Emotions
🎙️"I think one reason why we are so fearful of feeling our emotions is because we fear that we are going to become them." - JocelynWhat if we could feel our emotions without becoming them? Well, we can. We don't have to become what we feel. We can simply feel what we feel and acknowledge that what we are feeling is an experience, not an identity. In our last one-on-one conversation where I expressed my gratitude for allowing myself to feel my emotions, I touched on how grateful I am to respond to my emotions the way I do. In this episode, I expand on that a bit more and share a recent experience I had where I got triggered by a show and found myself getting consumed by my emotions, which then manifested into getting consumed by my thoughts. I share what I changed when I caught myself getting consumed and overpowered and why it's important that we shift our response when we catch ourselves experiencing our emotions in this way. We can have a healthy relationship with our feelings. There is a way for us to feel without those feelings becoming all of what and who we are. There is a way for us to fearlessly welcome our emotions, knowing they have something important to express. The main topics I touch on in this episode include:responding to triggers in a healthy waycrying is an energetic and physical release your body asks you forasking ourselves what we identify with and whydenying how we feel and accepting how we feelgetting overpowered by our emotions and consumed by our thoughtswitnessing your life experiences rather than becoming themthe power of awarenessgifting ourselves grace🕰 Timestamps0:00 Intro2:26 I've Been Emotional Lately3:54 Crying After Years Of Not Crying7:50 Assessing What We Identify With11:57 I Got Triggered The Other Day13:30 Moments Of Denying Feelings14:53 Getting Consumed15:22 Taking The Seat Of The Observer19:55 Awareness Is Powerful20:40 What's Important?21:43 My Emotion Is My Friend22:38 This Is A PracticeSupport the showThank you for bringing this podcast into your present moment and thank you for consciously listening! 🎙️"[Imposter syndrome] literally blinds you from all the greatness that you are and that you're capable of." - Jennifer TorresTrying new things may have you questioning yourself, it may trigger imposter syndrome, and it may test your confidence but it also may surprise you in ways that uplift your spirit. We are worthy of allowing ourselves to try new things, to test new grounds, and to see what we're capable of outside of our comfort zone. Not only is Jennifer Torres, a model expanding her creative limits, trying new things but she's also found herself in the midst of confronting hard truths and leaning into her healing. She's practicing trusting herself as she sheds who she is no longer and explores who she is becoming. In this episode, we remain rooted in the acknowledgement that trying your best is something to be grateful for and much of who and what we intend to become in life takes consistent practice - may it be practicing being confident, practicing better communication, or practicing a new career. Jocelyn Is Grateful To Allow Herself To Feel Her Emotions: Remaining In A State Of Flow
🎙️"You choosing to suppress an emotion is actually you choosing to hold onto it." - JocelynIt truly is so wild how we as a collective have created the response to suppress our emotions - for generations - thinking that suppressing our emotions make them go away. This could not be more wrong. As quoted above, us choosing to suppress our emotions is us choosing to keep them. When we suppress them, they don't disappear - they become blocked in our system and cause dysfunction in our lives. We are emotional bodies! When we have an unhealthy relationship with our emotions and the way in which we respond to them, we manifest an unhealthy body. Emotions are energy in motion. We must allow them to flow. This episode was definitely channeled by the divine and just felt like what I was/am meant to speak on at this time. I hope those of you who tune in feel seen and inspired by what I share. Junae Brown Is Grateful For The Power Of Forgiveness: Practicing Self-Awareness & Being Vulnerable
🎙️"Once you move past the fear of vulnerability... it's gorgeous." - Junae BrownJunae Brown's expression of gratitude for the power of forgiveness and self-awareness led to an episode on acknowledging both sides of every story, on acknowledging that we are all human, and (ultimately) on acknowledging the importance of acknowledging. We are all healing from something and we all require different needs to progress our healing journey, so how do we navigate this world of much needed healing? How do we maintain a healthy Self and healthy relationships? It's important to note that you show up as your best Self when you prioritize showing up for your Self, when you prioritize being curious about yourself with the intention to gain Self-awareness. The first step towards any kind of growth... is awareness. Junae and I expand on this, as well as the importance of celebrating the seemingly simplicity of awareness - amongst other important topics revolving mindfulness of this human experience.Junae Brown is the "Beyoncé of Marketing". Jocelyn Is Grateful For Her Capacity To Hold Safe Space

Jocelyn Is Grateful To Accept The Truth: Accepting What Is, Knowing Your Truth, & Self-Liberation
🌻 "My self-evolution will bring about new versions of me that others may not be interested in or may no longer be able to relate to, and that's okay." We are currently living in a time where a lot of truths are becoming unearthed, where a lot of truths are making themselves known to us. These truths are about the state of our world, about the society we live in, about our communities, about the people we are in relation to, and about ourselves. Some of these truths require radical acceptance and THIS is what we are diving into in this episode. The other day I had a moment where I realized my studies and practice on surrender and acceptance are already impacting my life. This moment inspired me to write down some truths I've recently accepted (some that took longer to accept than others) and I am excited to share them with you with the intention to encourage you to be more accepting in your own life, regardless of how your life unfolds.🕰 Timestamps0:00 Intro1:50 Grateful For You3:46 A Realization5:18 Writing Down Truths To Accept7:06 Love Does Not Guarantee To Change Anyone8:25 Not Everyone Is Interested In Healing10:59 Others May Not Be Able To Relate To The New Me13:32 Some Lessons Take Longer To Learn14:50 I Don't Need To Explain My Intuition16:43 Relationships Fall Apart When You're All The Glue17:54 I Cannot Do Everything At Once19:24 My Compassion Doesn't Make Me A Caretaker21:26 Loyalty Is Worthy Loyalty23:52 OutroSupport the showThank you for bringing this podcast into your present moment and thank you for consciously listening! Jocelyn Is Grateful For Choosing To Surrender: Resisting Change, Surrendering To The Universe, & Choosing Peace
"What is meant to be comes with ease. Remind yourself that."I have been acknowledging the peace I currently feel and reflecting on what has contributed to this peace. Almost exactly a year ago, I was going through a lot of sudden shifts and unexpected changes that honestly led to am emotional (and spiritual) breakdown. Looking back at this time, I realize that the moment I decided to (finally) surrender to the flow of these shifts and changes was the moment I chose peace, too. It was in my resistance where my fear cultivated. In this episode, I am expressing gratitude for choosing to surrender, practicing surrender, and holding space to share a bit on my thoughts and reflections on surrender. If you find yourself in a season of resistance, in a moment of fearing the unknown, I am encouraging you to surrender to the flow of life and of change! Kai Miller Is Grateful To Be A Vessel Of Information: Hustle Culture, Living Intentionally, & Being Yourself
"Create with intention, scale with strategy" is one of many tweets I heart by Kai Miller, a woman who is unsubscribing from hustle culture and subscribing to the full embodiment of self. As we discuss leading a life of intention and tapping into your true (expansive) self, unlearning many of these societal (and capitalistic) structures is a topic to face. Ashley Outrageous Is Grateful For Her Cocoon Phase: Accepting Change, Turning Inward, & Being In Transition
We're all familiar with it... that transitional space between who you were and who you are becoming. A space in which you are shedding the old and still unfolding the new. "The cocoon phase" as our very special guest Ashley "Outrageous" Ocampo calls it. Ashley is currently in the midst of this transition, personally and professionally (re)shaping her foundation, her lifestyle, and her being. As she begins to fully embrace (and eventually expand on) artist management and express that shift to the world, she is making sure the management first-and-foremost begins with herself. Known for her legendary blogging days, which then led her to some major power plays in the music industry including working with TDE, change isn't foreign for Ashley. A woman with many hats, her career has seemingly fluidly gone through its own evolution. The evolvement she's already experienced has allowed her to acknowledge, accept, and have the willingness to explore the self-work she is doing now.
