so good pod is ostensibly just an excuse to sit down and talk with a friend for a while and become a bit closer. We share a coffee together, or tea, or beer, or even listening to an album or song, and use that as a jumping off point to talk for a while. Because I love friends, and they’re all incredible amazing people, and there’s always so much I don’t know about people, or I feel just dedicating time to talking with someone is a really positive way to become closer to them — and a really wonderful way to spend time. Hopefully you enjoy the conversation, and feel free to use it as an excuse to start a conversation with a friend in your own life! Stay well :) Updates were (ideally) on Saturdays. Currently, the show is on a bit of a hiatus while season 2 is in production -- hopefully there'll be intermittent season 1 updates every now and then! Stay well in the meantime all!
Season 1 Episode 17 - the Hip (Hop) Podcaster Reminiscing on Grimey Teenage Years
I sat down with Hayden and chatted for a while! We shared a coffee and the incredible Demon Days album by Gorillaz. Origin: dystopian youth dreams. Brew method: big collaborations in a fictional universe. Flavour notes: grimey teenage years; lot of music chat. There's further progress on my synth journey, including some pushes over cliff edges. We do a rough cost-benefit analysis of spotify. Hayden recommends the song the Wheel by Sohn and passes on the really lovely advice to figure out how, somehow, you feel you can make someone feel loved and to do that. I recommended Loving You's Like a Mouldy Cup of Tea by Jack Davies and the Bush Chooks, along with AURORA. We also talk about Hayden's podcast, Modern Guilt (https://www.instagram.com/modernguiltpod; https://www.modernguilt.net/subscribe) and his music (https://open.spotify.com/artist/4PprQjBMdDWKAitRGRsB9d?si=ItZyF--HSZKERlnQ7bVkcA) and the Gamestop thing, before that was such a big thing! Hope you enjoy! :)

There's also a brief update on my synth journey. Kyle recommends seeking out media that makes you think on a deeper level, and I recommended the songs Rainbow Bap by Jaden and First Class Bitch by Confidence Man. Hope you enjoy! :)
