Adam Calderon is a student of Clinical Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University. Adam is also a past National Science Foundation REU Scholar, a current Psychology Fellow at the United Nations and teaching assistant at Barnard College. Joseph LeDoux (born December 7, 1949) is an American neuroscientist whose research is primarily focused on survival circuits, including their impacts on emotions such as fear and anxiety. Joseph LeDoux is the world’s foremost authority on the neurobiology of anxiety and fear. Writing in New York magazine, neuroscience reporter Casey Schwartz said, “If this is the age of anxiety, LeDoux is our Lewis and our Clark.” He is the author of many book including The Emotional Brain: The Mysterious Underpinnings of Emotional Life and The Synaptic Self: How Our Brains Become Who We Are, in addition to numerous scholarly articles.
