Well, it's been nearly a pandemic since last we chatted. But huzzah! It is happening! It's a short episode because I'm exploring something new and weird. This discussion on Arcanum (what is Arcanum? well, listen and learn and discover that it's nothing new, but perhaps conveniently labelled) was not only recorded for here, as audio, but also livestreamed on YouTube!
That's right, if you're inclined you can watch me babble instead of just listening to it. And yeah, it's a rough episode because being watched is so much stranger than just being listened to.
Much love, fellow seekers.
Blessings of the wyrd and wyld to you.
Violet.

Episode 51: Communicating, Accepting, Witnessing
Greetings and salutations, to one and to all,
You could say that this episode is a part 2 to episode 49, expanding into some specifics around places to employ that REAL connected communication. But since it was planned first, is it really part 2? It's a more tangential relationship, I think, though still around communication.
We discuss 3 invitations/challenges on communication:
1) accepting apologies
2) letting people be in a difficult space, holding space for them and reflecting
3) witnessing people as they truly are
Good times ending with difficult times.
With love, service, and the blessings of the deep and wild

Episode 50: Terra, Land, Bones and Naturum
Greetings and salutations!
Welcome to an episode all about this planet and our relationship with it.
A discussion on Terra (and why Terra not Gaia), our bone ancestors, about land acknowledgements and why they are important (plus the power of orienting ourselves in the here and now) and a final comment on Naturum.
WARNING: there is some difficult content in this episode, depending on your context.

Episode 49: REAL Connected Communication
Greetings and salutations, my friends,
This episode is ALL about communication, REAL connected communication to be exact. R(espectful)E(xperiential)A(uthentic)L(oving) connected communication. What does that mean, how does it work, a slight commentary on two common less-than-productive responses (the martyr and the demon), and an honouring of the courage it takes to do it.
Blessings of the deep and wild to you,
Violet, the Abysmal Witch

Episode 48: TREASURE!
There be treasure...somewhere, mateys! It be somewhere.
Yes, this podcast episode is about exploring a potential new working tool: Treasure. A little commentary on holding two realities at the same time for exploring and making space for change happens too. Okay, some other randomish other commentaries also happen (like the structure of existence), but mostly, this is about treasure.
Blessings of the deep and wild to you,

Episode 47: Ramblings on Soma, Will, Invitations and the Anxiety of Living
Greetings and salutations,
I could try and tell you what this episode is about, to entice you into the rambling madness that is, well, this. But that would suggest that there was intense focus and intentionality to what was done...and I feel like that is a stretch.
I get into my terror and anxiety that sabotaged my life choices, then take a left into flipping some standard witchy perspectives and finish with a slide into the end of the world as we know it and the beginning of exploring ways to engage with that.
Blessings of the deep and wild, my loves,

Episode 46: I Grieve
'Tis the dark time of the year (for us Northern hemispherers), a time to go internal, to rest with our inner darkness, or in my case, grief. We are not well equipped in modern north american society to deal with grief, yet here we are, living it. Exploring that, the important power of perspective and a few other things be the topic of this episode.

Episode 45: Completion and more?
Well, this was my second podcast in two weeks when I recorded it, set it to upload and failed to hit the publish button. So now it is two weeks later, what I had written up about it is gone and my memory being what it is, so is my knowledge of precisely went into it.
I do know there was a lot about completion. To know more, you'll just have to listen to it.
With love and blessings of the deep and wild.

Episode 44: Incubating the Flow
Hello and welcome!
First, a topic warning: racism and other 'isms are discussed using in example at least one racist word.
Second, what's this episode about? A glimpse into my current worldview with a focus on Universal Flow, incubation, reflection and what that means from a personal development and magical development point of view. Per blaterent.
And no, the numbering jump is not an error.
Blessings of the deep and wild to you,

Episode 41: Love to You, Imbolg, Reflection Abacus & Wake Word Part 3
Phew! Lots going on in this episode.
Welcome to Episode 41. I start with a little shout out of love to all those suffering in the Trump world and then off we go to a magical place called Sneaky Hollow, where I tell a story about Siwamo, a little Asian demon, and how they spend their Imbolg day.
In the third (or second, depending on your viewpoint) segment, I talk about a magical/meditative/reflective tool I use that for convenience I will now refer to as a reflective abacus. If you want to see what it looks like in action, check out my A Witch's Perspective video on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTckUUj0Nx4
Then naturally I conclude with Part 3 of the Wake World.
Keep living, keep becoming, you wondrous and worthwhile people.
Blessings,
Violet

Episode 40: Making Beds, Rituals and Wake World Part 2
Well, just goes to show that we never know what the future will bring. Welcome to Episode 40 of Pennies in the Well. The episode that wasn't sure it would ever be.
Mabon starts us off, as does a discussion of the need for reclusion. Then a jaunt in making beds the magical way, a bit of a blather on doing ritual with an hourglass for timing and fun (This Ritual Has 27 Minutes, so Canadian of me, eh?) and finishing with Part 2 of the Wake World by Aleister Crowley.
Happy listening!

Episode 39 - Making Time, Covens Stealing Men & Waking Up
Can you believe how long it's been since my last episode? Yes, so can I. Time flies when you've too much on the go. And even when there's less. Regardless, here and now we are, with a fresh episode for your listening pleasure? perusal? propinquity? (I'm not even sure what that means but it was fun to type.)
We start with an exploration of one way to approach prioritizing in your life.
Then there's a break for Fruitcakes, the Jimmy Buffet song, for reasons that are important personally.
I share a brand new project that is at its first and beginning, a birthday gift to my coven mate, though if it becomes useful and used, it shall last longer than the year I've paid for the domain name. :) www.manstealingcoven.com C'mon, you know you wanna look.
This episode is brought to us by the Hanged Man and Kenaz.
And we conclude with a rousing rendition of Part 1 of Crowley's Wake World.
Enjoy!

Episode 38 - Self Sex Relationship & Happy Challenge
AND BETSY TINNEY
But I get ahead of myself. Welcome to Episode 38 of Pennies in the Well. We shall not speak again of Episode 37. It shall be as one that never happened, and that is for the good.
Episode 38 looks at the relationship we have with our bodies, starting from our sexual connection to ourselves and travelling from there as well as a Mission Magical segment on reflecting on all the feel good moments of the day.
This episode was brought to us by The Hanged Man and the Wyrd stone (yes, the wyrd stone is not a traditional futhark concept, but it's in that rune set and it's what I drew, so there it be).
And then the episode ends with Gentle Storm from Betsy Tinney's new album "Release the Cello" which is fabulous and you should go download it right now.

Abysmal Witch #8 - We're All Mad Here & Service/Slave
Merry meet and merry talking! Not that it's been awhile but wow, when did you last see a podcast from here in your feed?
It's an odd episode, tossing out a few thoughts and sharing some stories on a certain acceptable level of madness that we should well embrace, in my opinion followed by some meandering thought exploration of service and master/slave dynamic and what that can mean in a spiritual context.
The show finishes out with "No Place Like Home" from Marianas Trench, a band I've become exceedingly fond of. It's an even better song when you've listened to the album as it embraces components of previous songs in its making.
Have missed you somewhat fiercely.Saturn

Episode 33: Changing Beliefs, Finding Passions
Hello, Glorious Ones!
I have missed you. You will hear me say that often in this podcast. So I should let the podcast speak for itself and give you those nitty-gritty handy-dandy funk-n-wagnalls links and details.
The episode starts with a reading of chapter 33 of Crowley's Baphmetis Meditation.
The last segment is on passion. WOOHOO :D We all need more.
And finally, our last song of the 'cast is Temple Gates by
