Access to information regulation in Zambia
Zambia does not have specific legislation dedicated solely to access to information. However, the Zambian Constitution guarantees freedom of expression, which includes the right to seek, receive, and impart information. Additionally, Zambia is a signatory to various international human rights instruments, such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which affirm the right to access information. It is also worth noting that there have been calls from civil society organizations and media freedom advocates in Zambia for the enactment of an Access to Information law.
