Music Buzzz Podcast launched in 2021 and has featured 30 episodes (as of 12/31/21) of candid discussions with those who are and have been a fly on the wall in the music business including industry veterans representing the segments of Musician, Design and Live. The podcast is hosted by Dane Clark (drummer in the John Mellencamp band since 1996), Hugh Syme (world-renowned graphic artist who has created albums covers for Rush, Dream Theater, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Joe Bonamassa, Megadeth, Kiss, Whitesnake and more) and Andy Wilson (an entertainment executive and President of ELEVATE). This Season 2 (episode 31) launch of Music Buzzz Podcast features a special one year anniversary conversation with all three hosts interviewing each other about their collective experiences, challenges and projects from 2021 and what lies ahead in the new year plus some old stories. Clark spent 2021 recording for the upcoming new John Mellencamp album, playing live shows and recording with The Dane Clark Band and getting ThunderSound Studio rolling again. Syme has been busy creating artwork for corporate clients and projects for Dream Theater, Joe Bonamassa, Gustavo Carmo, Rivers & Rust (ft. Kyle Cook of Matchbox Twenty), Graham Nash and more; and also hosted a gallery at AO5 in Austin, and released the expanded ART OF RUSH book. Wilson launched a brand new event and entertainment venture (ELEVATE Entertainment & Events) and has worked on more than 350 events in 2021 including major concert tours, sporting events and lifestyle projects. Season 2 episodes are already in the works and will include another wide range of artists and stories. An experienced bandleader and musician, Dave’s forte has always been that of a songwriter. He has over 700 copyrights registered with BMI. Those who have waxed his tunes include Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, Lou Rawls, Don Gibson, The Lettermen, Marty Robbins, Anne Murray, Eddy Arnold, Engelbert Humperdinck, Ray Price, Gene Vincent, Johnny Rivers and Glen Campbell, just to name a few. ABOUT ROGER JOSEPH MANNING JR: Roger Joseph Manning Jr. has enjoyed a long and fruitful career as a touring keyboardist, session player, arranger, and producer. His latest project is the band The Lickerish Quartet. Roger's arranging career began as early as 1989 when he began arranging string, brass, wind and vocal ensembles for his first band, Jellyfish, which he co-founded. Out of the ashes of Jellyfish arose his second co-founded project, Imperial Drag from 1994-97, which saw overwhelming overseas success, particularly in England and Japan. From 1995-97 he co-founded the all-vintage electronic duo known as The Moog Cookbook. This group was started solely as a means of having a forum to express its love for the bygone era of vintage synthesizers and exotic keyboards. Ultimately it became his calling card for longtime friend and collaborator, Beck Hansen. Roger began his over 20-year and still-active relationship as Beck’s sideman, touring the world and recording critically acclaimed albums. Not to mention work with other artists such as Fun!, Paramore and others. ABOUT STEVE HACKETT: Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee Steve Hackett is renowned as an immensely talented and innovative rock musician. He was lead guitarist with Genesis as part of their classic line up that included Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins, Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford, who produced six acclaimed studio albums and an EP during Steve's tenure from 1971-1977.  With Steve's extraordinary versatility in both his electric guitar playing and his composing, he involves influences from many genres, including Jazz, World Music and Blues. He is equally adept in his classical albums that include renditions of pieces the likes of Bach & others, his own acoustic guitar compositions have gained the admiration of many and his ambitious guitar/ orchestra albums such as A Midsummer Night's Dream, recorded with the Royal Philharmonic have done the same. After Genesis, Steve embarked on his solo career pushing musical boundaries into exciting areas, inventing new sounds and also techniques such as 'tapping'. His solo career went from strength to strength and the mid eighties not only saw the hit single Cell 151, but also the Steve Hackett and Steve Howe supergroup GTR, highly successful in America. After GTR Steve worked further with many renowned musicians such as Paul Carrick, Bonny Tyler, Chris Squier, John Wetton and Brian May, the latter of who has credited Steve as an early influence. His influence can also be heard through players such as Alex Lifeson, Eddie Van Halen and others. Steve's solo albums and projects have always possessed a high level of sophistication, along with an ever-present powerful dynamic. Steve's live electric gigs take his fans on an extraordinary journey drawn from a rich musical heritage. Perennial Genesis favorites sit alongside solo classics, while more recent solo material is also included, demonstrating that Steve is an artist still at the very top of his game who is always looking and moving forward.
