#HeartFamily!! Your girl is back! I had a small sabbatical but I'm back with a short exhortation to encourage you that what God has placed on the inside of you may seem small, but it is surely more than enough with God on your side!

Healing. Necessary but at times painful and hard. We often dismiss ourselves from the process when it gets hard but what would happen if we stayed and walked with God through it. We would soon realise it isn't painful throughout the whole process and the releasing of the pain was just a stage in the process. I was reminded of Jesus who's legacy has spanned millennia and his impact in the lives on our lives and the lives of millions of others has truly been magnificent. But how do you leave your footprint in this world? How do you become a person of impact? Let's talk about it. The wait! We all know it. The time between Gods promise and the manifestation of the promise. It can be hard. We can often feel like giving up. We may even create an Ishmael in the process like Sarah and Abraham, but we have to remember God is a promise keeper. Valentines day is right around the corner! Heart family how are you feeling? I know it can be a difficult time for some singletons but fear not, your time is coming and you shall enjoy!! As I began to think about how nice it is to be romanced on valentines I began to reflect on my journey in romantic relationships. Although I hadn't always been lucky in love, I was so grateful that those journeys led me to Jesus and revealed him as my safe space. I learnt he was where I could run and hide, where I could be free, where I could be vulnerable and unashamed. It changed my life forever. I know someone out there needs to know that they are safe in and with God. If that is you, this episode is just for you! I pray this episode blesses you and draws you closer to Christ. As a child of God, we have been redeemed from the punishment of sin and eternal separation of God, but how many of us believe it? Like many others, I dealt with condemnation and guilt which led me away from God because I thought my actions meant he would no longer accept me. However, this is not the truth for the redeemed of God. Join me this episode as we unpack what it means to be redeemed and regain an understanding of your identity and position as a child of God.

Today on Matters of the Heart, I unpack what it means to be cherished by God. I struggled to understand for a long time that God cherished me because my experiences in life contradicted this truth. When He revealed Himself as shepherd to me, it cemented my understanding of His divine protection, care and love for me as my Father. I pray as you listen, it does the same for you. In Jesus name. Although it feels like you already know, have you truly meditated on the fact that you are loved by God. Has this truth changed your perspective of yourself yet and revolutionised your relationships?
