Mr. Robot | Season 4 Ep 8 – Request Timeout
Hello, Friend! We're discussing all things Mr. Robot Season 4 Episode 8 -- "Request Timeout" -- and this one was extremely fun to watch as we were taken back to 1995 and then to the present day to see how Dominique, Darlene, Elliot, and Krista are dealing with the fateful blows they've been dealt by the Dark Army. Elliot continues to grapple with the things he discovered about his past with Krista, fortunately, by his side. Janice -- the most banal of evildoers -- tries her taxidermy skills on a few of our favorite characters. Who knows how things will turn out in a final season that almost entirely takes place during Christmas. As always, if you have feedback or questions, please get in touch at hellofriendpod [at] proton mail.com. We'll chat soon!

Mr. Robot | Season 4 Ep 7 – Proxy Authentication Required
This is our review of Season 4, Episode 7 of Mr. Robot. A lot of interior shots, monologuing and dramatic moments among Mr. Robot, Elliot, Vera and Krista. Dominque and Darlene must be hanging out at the Shake Shack waiting for their turn in the story, hopefully next week. No hacking this week. Maybe next week? Will we ever find out what Whiterose is shipping?

Hello, friend! I want to tell you a story. Nah -- just kidding. We'll leave the storytelling to Vera. If you're here that means you probably want to listen to our podcast recap of "406 Not Acceptable" -- the sixth episode of the final season of Mr. Robot. What can we say about this momentous episode? Not all monsters are into the hacker way and wear hoodies but Elliot sure counts among them. Please listen, rate and review. Mr. Robot | Season 4 Ep 5 – 405 Method Not Allowed
At long last, we're ready to share with you our recap and review of "405 Method Not Allowed" -- the fifth episode of the final season of Mr. Robot. If silence is golden, this episode was solid gold -- there were only two lines spoken in the entire show tonight. While Phillip Price is sent on a cat and mouse game by Whiterose, Darlene and Elliot pull off the biggest series of hacks that we've seen strung together in succession. What is Vera up to we want to know. More importantly, where did Vera find that fabulous coat? Send your feedback and comments to hellofriendpod@protonmail.com. Be seeing you!

Mr. Robot | Season 4 Ep 4 – 404 Not Found
Hello, Friend! If episode 4 of the final season of Mr. Robot taught us anything -- it's that if you think your holiday is going really bad there's always someone else who is having a worse time of it. This episode contained many fairytale like qualities and our heroes in the show seemed more lost and disadvantaged than ever in terms of vanquishing the Dark Army and finding their way. Not even Tobias the drunk Santa can lift our spirits -- death and uncertainty are in the air. It's all of question of who can hang in there long enough to confound the efforts of the Deus Group and save the world as we know it -- spotty internet connections be darned. If you have feedback on the show or our podcast, please get in touch at hellofriendpod@protonmail.com. Thanks for listening and we'll all talk soon.

Mr. Robot | Season 4 Ep 3 – 403 Forbidden
As Whiterose might say -- you're just in time for our recap and review of this latest episode of Mr. Robot. We're just a few weeks away from this series finale. In this episode, we were treated to a ton of exposition and the perils and pleasures of online dating on Christmas Eve. We learned part of what drives Whiterose and that we ought to never trust Fernando Vera around chickens or around anyone for that matter. Please have a listen and feel free to get in touch at hellofriendpod@protonmaill.com to send feedback about Mr. Robot or the podcast. We'll be seeing you!

Mr. Robot | Season 4 Ep 2 – 402 Payment Required
RE-UPLOADED - FULL-LENGTH
--------------------------------------
Well, hello there, friend! We're back for our review of Mr. Robot S4E2, called "402 Payment Required." What did you think of this latest installment of the final season of the series? Did you find there were more questions than answers -- or are you starting to see where things are heading? We learned some new information regarding the nature of the so-called "invisible hand" controlling the world stage. We also learned that, as always, the true nature of who and what Elliot is seems difficult to determine. Darlene, Dominique, Phillip Price all appear to be playing their own roles in reference either helping or hindering the Dark Army -- or a smattering of both. Even Frosty the Snowman made an appearance. Janice is the creepiest taxidermist around, and that's saying something. Please listen, rate and review this podcast. Please feel free to write us at hellofriendpod@protonmail.com if you have any feedback on the series or the podcast.

Mr. Robot | Season 4 Ep 1 - 401 Unauthorized
Greetings and salutations! It's been a while. We sure have missed you. Join us, your fearless co-hosts, as we recap the happenings and goings on in "401 Unauthorized" -- the season 4 premiere of Mr. Robot. This is the final season and the general consensus is that episode 1 of season 4 had a distinctly different feel in comparison to previous seasons. One thing is for certain: this first episode set the chess pieces for the rest of the series. We encounter many familiar faces, Elliot, Angela, Darlene, Mr. Robot, White Rose, and that every-so annoying Phillip Price. There were also a few surprising appearances, too, whether you're talking about Emmy Rossum as one of the carolers, Jake Busey as the slimy Freddie Lomax, and show creator Sam Esmail himself as a thug intent on scaring the heck out of Elliot (and us). All good stuff. Please listen to our podcast and let us know what you think about the show: hellofriendpod [at] protonmail [dot] com.

Bonus Episode: Mr. Robot Zeitgeist Review
Helllllllllo, Friends! As 2018 quickly becomes a distant, dystopian memory and we hurtle into 2019, we thought it would be fun to drop this bonus episode of the Hello Friend Mr. Robot podcast. The theme of this podcast is “Zeitgeist review” — Henry and I took a deep dive around some of the themes found in Season 3 of Mr. Robot and how they relate to current events and society in general. We will drop at least one more episode as we head into Season 4, which is probably going to be its final season, premiering some time in 2019. If you have any feedback on the show or on the podcast, please contact us at thehellofriendpodcast@gmail.com. This may be no Bohemian Rhapsody but we still hope you enjoy this episode. Mr. Robot | Season 3 Ep 10 – Eps3.9_shutdown-r
If anything is true of the season finale for this third momentous season of Mr. Robot, it’s that much has been revealed, including the inner workings of what Elliot calls “the invisible hand.” Revelations abounded in this episode, whether in the form of steganography, ciphers written on BBQ menus or in terms of true confessions of raw, sometimes brutal intent. Angela continues her climb back to some form of her former self, Phillip Price remains loquacious, but the real action happened with Elliot and Darlene — all while White Rose watched while taking a luxurious bath. What a world White Rose lives in — and how much does it reflect reality in terms of the one percent of the one percent? Do we even really want to know? Mr. Robot was renewed for a Season 4 and it seems that the “revolution” — or whatever it is — shall continue. We are always interested in hearing from you, our listeners, so feel free to get in touch at thehellofriendpodcast [at] gmail [dot] com. Rest assured, we had no axes to grind in the making of this podcast episode.

Mr. Robot | Season 3 Ep 9 – Eps3.8_stage3.torrent
Hello, friend! Just when you thought it was safe to go outside, it’s time for another podcast review of Mr. Robot, Season 3 episode 9. We’re so close to the end of this season and we’ve seen Elliot make some bold moves against the Dark Army in an attempt to right what went wrong. White Rose gets some honesty from her assistant and apparent paramour Grant. Now that Tyrell is the new E-Corp CTO, does that mean he’s poised to take over the whole corporation eventually? What does the book Lolita have to do with this story and will Angela ever recover?

Mr. Robot | Season 3 Ep 7 – eps3.6_fredrick+tanya.chk
Hello, Friend! Just when you think you can escape the dystopian reality that is 2017, you realize another new episode of Mr. Robot has dropped and you are once again watching an excellent show — but at the same time, you wonder if this episode might be harkening to a near-future reality. We see some familiar faces as this compelling and yet bleak episode came to a crashing end. Is Irving right? Are all revolutions manufactured to take our attention away from larger world events we have little insight into and ability to control? One thing is for sure, Fredrick and Tanya will never find out either way. Hello, friend. It’s Back to the Future over and over and over again as the sixth episode of this third season of Mr. Robot starts with a dramatic flashback and ends with a bang, well 71 of them. Sometimes the best laid plans all go awry. It doesn’t matter how much Elliot tries, success as well as happiness seem fleeting for him. Mr. Robot | Season 3 Ep 5 – eps3.4_runtime-err0r.r00
Hello, Friend! Do you find it hard to believe that we are already at episode 5 for the third season of Mr. Robot? This episode, called “eps3.4_runtime-err0r.r00”, played as a continuous one-shot. However, as in real life, variable — so many confounding variables — got in the way to challenge Elliot’s plan to roll back the damage he’s done by shutting down the Dark Army plan to implement Phase 2. This all sounds confusing but not when you have big brains like Mr. Robot, Elliot, Tyrell, White Rose, Philip Price, Angela and Darlene all working in one way or another to advance various competing and sometimes overlapping interests. If you like what you hear, please think about rating and reviewing this episode. Thank you!

We saw a lot of Irving — the master engineer but not the ultimate puller of strings: He’s simply effective, efficient and understands his contribution to the nefarious value chain of the White Rose-led Dark Army. On the tech front, we talk about data sets, analytics, AI and how data about us and our lives can be used to manipulate us, our technology and even society as a whole! Mr. Robot | Season 3 Ep 2 – eps3.1_undo.gz – s3e2
What if we had the ability to undo things we’ve done in our lives? The power to go back and fix things that went horribly wrong might be something we all wish we had from time-to-time. In Elliot’s case, at least as far as he sees it, he’s burdened with having to try to undo a hack so effective that it brought down the world economy. He even goes so far as to take a job at E-Corp. Almost in tandem with the hack that Elliot made happen — the 5/9 hack — we have a scenario where China and the United States are lockstep in a battle of sorts over what will now become the dominant currency. They’re not talking about dollars or yen — the currencies at loggerheads with worldwide stakes are cryptocurrencies, namely E-Corp E-Coin and the very real-world BitCoin. China is backing BitCoin in this dystopian society and E-Corp is having none of that. So hang on to your CHS (confidential human source) if you have one and join us for an exciting discussion and lively recap of Season 3, Episode 2 of Mr. Robot, called eps3.1_undo.gz – s3e2.

Mr. Robot | Season 3 Ep 1 – Eps3.0_power-saver-mode.h
Faster than a red wheelbarrow on fire, careening down a steep hill — the new season of Mr. Robot started off at a frenetic, red-hot pace and did not slow down the entire time. The series got off to a fast start with the introduction of of a retro-style “Fixer” named Irving (part Columbo, part Harry Tuttle) who seems to be in the employ of the Dark Army and pretty handy with hacking as well as social hacking. Elliot was definitely shot by Tyrell (who is very upset about that fact) and so we see these characters from an all-new perspective. Same goes for Angela, Darlene and Mr. Robot — we get to see all of them in a different light. For podcast co-host Henry, the episode had a lot do do with the sensation of “apophenia” — a word that describes humans’ tendency to try to make order out of unrelated thoughts or concepts. As Irving says, “When we lose our principles, we invite chaos.” Here’s hoping we lost nothing in delivering this review to you of what we both agreed was a fantastic season premiere.

Hello, Friend. Welcome to our review of episode 10 of season 2 of Mr. Robot. Phillip Price played his part as the evil villain: “I always asked the question, ‘Am I the most powerful person in the room?’ The answer needed to be yes. To this day I still ask that question. And the answer is still yes. In every room in the entire world, the answer is yes. With the exception of one…or two. And that drives me. Neither is the Evil Corp CTO Scott Knowles, who maybe should have gladly let Tyrell assume that position for all of the good fortune he’s had since taking on that job. Mr. Robot S1 E5 | eps1.4_3xpl0its.wmv | H3ll0, Fr1end: A Mr. Robot Podcast
Hello, Friend: You’re just in time for our podcast recap of Mr. Robot — season 1 episode 5 — “eps1.4_3xpl0its.wmv.” A major pat of the story this time was around the fsociety plan to penetrate and eventually destroy Steel Mountain — and Evil Corp along with it. One thing we did learn for sure: never attend a business dinner party with Tyrell and his wife Joanna. The Evil Corp CTO (Scott Knowles) suspects this, too, as he glibly asks Tyrell: “If you were me, would you trust you as your right hand?” Not one to be flustered in front of the competition, Tyrell Wellick easily remarks: “If I were you, I wouldn’t have even let me in the house.” Ahh, and we thought being a CTO (Chief Technology Officer) was all about the love of tech. Mr. Robot S1 E4 | eps1.3_da3m0ns.mp4 | H3ll0, Fr1end: A Mr. Robot Podcast
In this most David Lynch-like of episodes — “eps1.3_da3m0ns.mp4” explores the monsters in the things we build in the things we create — and the very monsters that may reside inside of us, especially the hidden ones. After all, isn’t technology modeled after us — imperfect humans? This episode of Mr. Robot is part caper, part psychological horror as we go deep inside of Elliot’s subconsciousness. A major pat of the ongoing narrative revolves around how much of a box we live in — questioning the very meaning of freedom. As Qwerty the beta fish so aptly states: “When you live in a fishbowl, ain’t no such thing as change. My entire life’s been spent in this thing, my whole world’s on your side table. I look around. Same shit, different day. The lighting, the furniture, even the sounds. Always the same. I’m on a loop. And it won’t stop unless my life does. I’m exhausted with this world.” If you like what you hear, please think about rating and reviewing this episode. Thank you!

Mr. Robot S1 E2 | eps1.1_ones-and-zer0es.mpeg | H3ll0, Fr1end: A Mr. Robot Podcast
The central premise around the second episode of season 1 of Mr. Robot is whether you are a one or a zero. In computer parlance, one’s and zero’s are what comprise the basis of binary code.
