In this week’s edition of Africa of the Future, we focus on challenges Africa faces with regard to scarce water resources featuring Chris Dickens of International Water Management, a global non-profit organisation based in Sri Lanka with five offices on the continent. We also feature Ander Berntell, Executive Director of 2030 Water Resource Group, a public-private civil society initiative bringing together multinational companies in food and beverage industries, development agencies, the African Development Bank, the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation. It has a presence in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.

TVET On Wheels

The first such report was released late April in Brazzaville, Gabon at the 14th CAADP Partnership Platform convened by the African Union Commission and NEPAD Coordinating Agency. Country national plans around agriculture how they relate to biennial reports.
In this week’s edition of Africa of the Future, we take a look at the importance of country national plans around agriculture how they relate to biennial reports. The first such report was released late April in Brazzaville, Gabon at the 14th CAADP Partnership Platform convened by the African Union Commission and NEPAD Coordinating Agency. The report revealed that only a few countries are on track to achieving the seven commitments of the Malabo Declaration, all in order to reduce hunger and poverty by half in 2025. African citizens holding their governments accountable
In this edition of Africa of the Future, we discuss the question of how citizens of Africa can best hold their governments accountable. This is because the African Union has been championing a campaign to get people to make their governments to be more accountable based on shared values of collective responsibility and gender equity. The idea is to get people at grass-root level, instead of observing the usual diplomatic channels, so that AU decisions are informed both by input from elected representatives and ordinary citizens. $1 US million Global Teacher Prize
