A Meditation On So’ham

With this new episode comes another new backing track produced specially for this meditation called “ethereal”. This new practice is a reimagining of a previous episode based on the ancient mantra So’ham. What makes So’ham so special is that it is present within us, heard in the sound of our inhalation and exhalation. It is also believed that So'ham is an answer to Ko’ham, meaning "Who am I?" The universe answers this question with So'ham, communicating that "You are the same as I am.” The track "ethereal" is available for streaming and free download through my musical alias 'nature', link HERE.   Please support me by subscribing, sharing this episode and leaving a review on Apple Podcasts & Spotify if you happen to enjoy it! Twilight Sound Bath

This is a very special episode of Into Stillness. For the first time I have produced the music for the meditation as well as the vocal portion, instead of just licensing music online. I hope this meditation resonates with you as much as it does with me. The Prana Meditation Remastered

This is a remastered version of one of my favourite early episodes of the podcast. I have learned a lot about editing vocal audio and have upgraded my equipment since I released the original version. Therefore I thought I would bring back a few of my favourite episodes and remaster them. I hope you enjoy this version even more than the first!   "This meditation intends to connect you more to the vital life force that is prana. In this guided practice we dive into what prana is, ways to facilitate circulation of prana in meditation, where prana resides and how it moves through the body and finally how to feel each prana vayu in the body through the breath."   Please support me by subscribing, sharing this episode and leaving a review on Apple Podcasts & Spotify if you happen to enjoy it! The Ancient Forest Meditation

This is a guided imagery and visualization meditation where we are headed into the forest once more. This time into an old growth forest. I particularly enjoy writing, recording and editing these one as I feel a deep attachment to the subject matter. The Lotus Flower Meditation

This is a guided meditation centred around the lotus flower. The unique symbol that is the lotus flower is universal to us all, not just to those of religion. A Meditation for Mental Clarity

This is a meditation for mental clarity. Our meditation practice is not about controlling the mind, it is about understanding the tendencies of the mind. Through this practice we also come to understand the connection between our physical body, our energetic body, our mind and our breath. An imbalance in one creates a disturbance in another. When we sit to practice we work to harmonize each one, getting rid of any dissonance in the system, even if for just a short while. Overtime this is where our clarity comes from. Overtime we increase the capability of our mind to sift through the rapid waves of thoughts, identify what’s important, what we can let go of and become less reactive.   Please support me by leaving a review online if you happen to enjoy the episode, helps me reach more people and spread the practice of meditation.   I truly appreciate each and every one of you who listen to and take something away from this podcast. Gratitude Meditation With Mindfuldave

On this special episode of Into Stillness I have a guest meditation by my German brother David (@mindfuldave). David and I met on a yoga teacher training a couple years ago in Bali and have finally gotten around to collaborating on a meditation together. This is a wonderful gratitude meditation paired with some breath work and one very smooth German voice. I know you will enjoy this practice just as much as I did. Hopefully we have the chance to work together again in the future.   Please support David and I by leaving a review online if you happen to enjoy the episode, helps us reach more people and spread the practice of meditation.   Please follow David here and support him online. Japa Meditation ”Om Sri Ramaya Namaha”

Happy new year everyone! Starting this new year strong on the Into Stillness podcast with my personal favourite japa practice. For this episode of the podcast we are working with the mantra “Om Sri Ramaya Namaha” for a japa style meditation. Om Sri Ramaya Namaha is a mantra that is used to honour Lord Rama, a god and incarnation of Vishnu. Lord Rama is known by devotees as the one who rejoices and brings joy, as well as peace and justice to the world. Chanting the mantra is said to engender in the yogi god consciousness and a connection to divine truths and blessings. Om Sri Ramaya Namaha can be translated and interpreted from the Sanskrit as, “Salutations to Rama, the bestower of happiness, inner peace and balance. May your warrior energy, inner focus and personal integrity reside within me.”   Please support me by leaving a review online if you happen to enjoy the episode, helps me reach more people and spread the practice of meditation.   I truly appreciate each and every one of you who listen to and take something away from this podcast. SOS Meditation

For this episode of the podcast I have created a 5 minute SOS or emergency meditation. This meditation is for a time when you feel overwhelmed, for when everything just feels like too much and you need a moment to forget it all and just relax. It can also be used as a reminder of the tools you have readily available to you in difficult times. You hold more power than you may believe and you are stronger than you sometimes feel.   Please support me by leaving a review online if you happen to enjoy the episode, helps me reach more people and spread the practice of meditation.   I truly appreciate each and every one of you who listen to and take something away from this podcast. A Nature Bath

Sticking with the recent theme of nature styled meditations I have been creating. This episode features a sound based meditation focusing on the sounds of nature. It’s been proven that playing 'natural sounds' affects the bodily systems that control the flight-or-fright and rest-digest autonomic nervous systems, with associated effects in the resting activity of the brain. The sounds of nature are a pure and natural symphony unlike any other. I will be stepping away from the nature theme for the next few meditations so look forward to that!   Please support me by leaving a review online if you happen to enjoy the episode, helps me reach more people and spread the practice of meditation.   I truly appreciate each and every one of you who listen to and take something away from this podcast. The Moonglade

I have always wanted to try out a guided meditation that leans more towards fantasy, my all time favourite genre when it comes to books. I came across the word “moonglade” a while back when scrolling the internet for inspiration, and it sparked an idea. I am very excited to have finally brought that idea to fruition and hope it comes across how I pictured it in my mind. I would love to know if you enjoyed this episode or not. I plan to do more in this fantastical style in the future and want to improve the imagery and delivery as best I can!   Please support me by leaving a review online if you happen to enjoy the episode, helps me reach more people and spread the practice of meditation.   I truly appreciate each and every one of you who listen to and take something away from this podcast. Into the Wild

This is a very special guided imagery meditation. I wanted to recreate the type of feeling I receive from being in the wilderness, inside a guided meditation. The Sunrise Meditation

Finally back from a couple month break! The podcast will be back to its regular schedule or at least every 2 weeks. This meditation was inspired by an early morning adventure to watch the sunrise. I recommend trying it with a sunrise yourself or at least in a sunlit place. This meditation is a combination of breath awareness and guided imagery. I truly hope you enjoy it and look forward to the next episode.   I have been working on a new project for the last couple months. I can’t say what it is exactly just yet but it’s about 150 pages at the moment if you know what I mean…   Please consider leaving a review online if you happen to enjoy the episode, helps me reach more people and spread the practice of meditation.   I truly appreciate each and every one of you who listen to and take something away from this podcast. The Illuminated Body

On this episode of the podcast I have a body scan rooted in gratitude for all that it provides and allows us to experience. The miracle of the human body is often overlooked as we move through life and my aim with guided meditation is to illuminate that miracle. I personally find body scans to be one of the most relaxing and grounding forms of mindfulness meditation. With this particular one I hope to leave you with a strong sense of appreciation for the body and all its capabilities.   Please consider leaving a review online if you happen to enjoy the episode, helps me reach more people and spread the practice of meditation.   I truly appreciate each and every one of you who listen to and take something away from this podcast. A Moment for Pause

This week on the podcast is a short meditation aimed at finding a small moment in the day to pause and check in with yourself, the breath and the body. A moment for when you are feeling overwhelmed, too busy, maybe anxious or just want to take a few minutes to break up the day and collect your thoughts. During this guided practice you will move through a few quick exercises to centre yourself and slow down. This is something I do regularly and find to be very helpful.   Please consider leaving a review online if you happen to enjoy the episode, helps me reach more people and spread the practice of meditation.   I truly appreciate each and every one of you who listen to and take something away from this podcast. A Springtime Meditation

This week on the podcast is a meditation all about transition and the spring season. It’s with this time of year, that everything enters a state of renewal and this can directly speak to our mentality. Especially in tough times, a tangible experience of a new start can be tremendously helpful. Nothing in nature is ever really final, for it begins anew every season, recycling last year’s debris into rich compost in which to grow something else.   Please consider leaving a review online if you happen to enjoy the episode, helps me reach more people and spread the practice of meditation.   I truly appreciate each and every one of you who listen to and take something away from this podcast. A Fireside Meditation

On this episode of the podcast we turn our focus to a specific element and that is fire, or heat. We move through three different ways in which you can utilize this element for a meditation practice. Those being the breath, with the use of props and through visualization. The element of fire is also known as one of cleansing and so in this guided meditation we build heat in the body and at the same time look to cleanse ourselves of stress and unwanted feelings.   Please consider leaving a review online if you happen to enjoy the episode, helps me reach more people and spread the practice of meditation.   I truly appreciate each and every one of you who listen to and take something away from this podcast. A Music Bath

For this episode of the podcast I am returning to one of my favourite styles and that is sound. This is the third instalment in my series of sound based guided meditations. The focus for these being the music and using it as your point of concentration for the duration of the practice. There is a small amount of speaking and guided practice in the beginning but after that I leave you to sit for however long you choose. The music will eventually fade and end. Hazrat Inayat Khan once said, “Sound is the force of creation, the true whole. Music then, becomes the voice of the great cosmic oneness and therefore an optimal way to reach a true state of healing.”   Please consider leaving a review online if you happen to enjoy the episode, helps me reach more people and spread the practice of meditation.   I truly appreciate each and every one of you who listen to and take something away from this podcast. The One Word Meditation

On this episode of the podcast I have for you a new repetition style meditation revolving around the idea of a single word. This one word could represent something that you wish to be, a feeling you wish to embody, something you want to obtain, anything of that nature but the goal of this guided meditation is to manifest something from this word. Words have great power, and the more we align ourselves with positive words and ways of thinking the less hold negative words and ways of thinking have over us.   Please consider leaving a review online if you happen to enjoy the episode, helps me reach more people and spread the practice of meditation.   I truly appreciate each and every one of you who listen to and take something away from this podcast. A Slow Breath Meditation

For this episode of the podcast I wanted to do something simple and shorter than the past few months, while also approaching the breath meditation in a new way. I listened to a podcast recently with zen master Roshi Norma Wong where she spoke about her meditation practice. She focuses on slowing down the breath to under two breaths per minute during her practice. On top of that she aims at having her breath rate at under five breaths per minute for one third of her waking hours. This conscious act is a step towards oneness. Through a consistent focus on slowing down your breath throughout your day, over time you may notice subtle changes in your connection and experience of life.   Please consider leaving a review online if you happen to enjoy the episode, helps me reach more people and spread the practice of meditation.   I truly appreciate each and every one of you who listen to and take something away from this podcast. Breath of the Wind Meditation

This weeks episode is about finding connections between the human experience and the natural world. In yoga there are five winds of the body. They govern different areas and different physical and subtle activities. The natural phenomenon of the wind is associated with a whole host of different things. In this guided meditation I aim to tie the two together. I am trying to push the creativity of these meditation so I hope you enjoy the final product.   Please consider leaving a review online if you happen to enjoy the episode, helps me reach more people and spread the practice of meditation.   I truly appreciate each and every one of you who listen to and take something away from this podcast. Japa Meditation "Om Tat Sat"

Not only do I have a brand new japa style meditation for everyone today but it’s also the one year anniversary of Into Stillness! 54 episodes to date and over 5000 downloads in 65+ countries. I wasn’t sure how this was going to turn out when I started it —during a pandemic mind you— but its turned into my favourite creation. Recently I expanded the Into Stillness idea into a workshop and began doing the meditations I write for the podcast live on Sunday mornings. Looking forward to what another year brings. I also want to say thank you to everyone who has listened, I truly appreciate all the support!! Todays episode is based around the mantra “Om Tat Sat”. Om Tat Sat is a Sanskrit mantra found in the Bhagavad Gita. Each of the three sounds is a symbolic representation of God. Om is the sound of Brahman or the ultimate reality. Tat is the mantra of Shiva. Sat is the mantra of Vishnu, which can also be interpreted as truth. The repetition of this mantra encourages the mind to enter into a meditative state so that the practitioner may begin to connect with the higher Self or the Divine within. A Meditation for Self Forgiveness

This weeks episode is a meditation for self forgiveness. As Alexander Pope said, “to err is human, to forgive, divine”. Forgiveness is often a difficult journey to embrace but know that forgiveness is not a weakness. Forgiveness in positive psychology is most often viewed as a character strength and a virtue worth pursuing for everyone who desires a greater sense of wellbeing. Forgiveness of ourselves and others leads to increased feelings of self worth and decreased psychological stress. This allows you to live a more satisfied and fulfilling life because you are moving beyond the negative feelings that hold you down and control your thinking and behaviour. A Rainy Day Meditation

Back with a new guided meditation this week. One I have wanted to do for a while but wasn’t able to get the concept and script down for until recently. I love the sound of rain and have always believed that nature provides us with an abundance of things that can be used to find moments of peace among that which brings us unease. You need only remember they are there. I have done many meditations that follow that idea and will continue to do so as they tend to be the most popular ones. I hope you enjoy this one as much as I enjoyed creating it. Please consider leaving a review online if you happen to enjoy the episode, helps me reach more people and spread the practice of meditation. Live Meditations & Into Stillness Workshop Announcement

On this milestone 50th episode of 'Into Stillness' I am very excited to announce I am beginning weekly live meditations on Sundays at 9am EST and teaching an 'Into Stillness' workshop in February! I look forward to connecting with you through these live offerings. The weekly live meditations will begin this Sunday, Feb 7th. Beginning with a Breath Awareness style of meditation. These meditation will be on a donation based structure so they are completely free but if you feel like donating to support me and the podcast then you are able to do so. Each week I will do a poll on my instagram (@braydonmackenzie) to decide which meditation we will be doing on the following Sunday. So make sure to follow me there and vote for your favourite idea. You will need at the very least a meditation cushion and I recommend a blanket and anything else you want to feel as comfortable as possible. Also something to play music on as I will be providing music each week to be played along with the guided meditation. Its not necessary of course but I feel it really enhances the experience. You can sign up right here! https://www.braydonmackenzie.com/live-class-signup The 'Into Stillness' workshop is being done in partner with Taiga Yoga & Therapy Centre based out of Yellowknife, NT. It's a studio run by my friend Cora who I did one of my teacher trainings with and I couldn't be more excited to work with them. The workshop is $25 and is a 90min class focusing on functional movement, mobility and meditation. The aim being to maintain and improve whole body mobility, make seated positions more comfortable and dive deeper into your meditation practice. It's taking place on Saturday, February 20th at 1:00-2:30pm MST which is 3pm EST and 12pm PST. You can sign up right here! http://www.taigayoga.com/workshops/2021/2/20/into-stillness Please consider leaving a review online if you happen to enjoy the episode, helps me reach more people and spread the practice of meditation. A Journey Into Sound

This episode of the podcast is a journey into sound and your self. The power of sound can be truly healing. It has been used for thousands of years in some of the most ancient and time honoured spirituality practices. Everything in existence vibrates and through our human physiology we receive and perceive acoustic waves of sound which can be experiences of incredible beauty. The Surrounding Energy Meditation

For this episode we aim to connect with and experience the energy of this world. All day, every day, you can feel this energy through the act of breathing. You can see this energy too, although it’s not often perceived as such. I hope this meditation helps you to recognize that which surrounds us all day but is not always clear or easy to feel and see. The Intention Meditation

The first podcast episode of the new year is a meditation is about intention and how we want to embrace the concept moving into the future. For intention is the seed that creates our future. Hsing Yun said, “Intention is the core of all conscious life. Conscious intention colours and moves everything”. Each day we continue to consciously connect with our inner intentions they become more a part of us. I hope this meditation can aid in shining a light on what truly moves you. A Reflection Meditation

For the last episode of the year we turn to Reflection. Reflection isn’t something I have utilized to its full extent in the past. Often it’s a quick journaling thing I check off a list to satisfy something within myself. This allows me to skip past it quickly and not actually spend enough time seriously considering what served me this past year and what I really need to give up and let go. Whether that be certain behaviours, endeavours or ways of thinking, especially in regards to ourselves. How can we move into this new year with more love and compassion for ourselves and others? What practices should we continue to foster or incorporate into our lives that will elevate how we show up for and support this world? These are the kinds of questions we need to ask. The self work of the individual is one of the greatest catalysts to change in this world. I truly appreciate each and every one of you who listen to and take something away from this podcast. The Slow Down Meditation

Moving into the holidays I wanted to create and share a meditation that invites us to slow everything down, hoping that it will instill within you a desire to do so more frequently. Often slowing down is difficult. Slowing down can feel like you’re not doing something you should be and it is common to feel undeserving of it. A constant fast pace, knocking down to do lists, always chasing the next thing way of life is glorified in our current time and it can be unhealthy. You deserve to slow down. You deserve time to look after yourself and what’s going on inside. Not only do you deserve it but you need it. Theres a healing that takes place in this space. The Inner Quiet

It’s a common misconception in meditation that we are to simply shut off the mind, still all thoughts. Thoughts are not the enemy. The minds sole purpose is to think and it will continue to do so. We aim to focus that thinking in a single direction. Some days that will be easier than others. That is a commonality for all of us in meditation. Whether this is your first or one thousandth time meditating, know you are not alone in this and we are all with you. We are walking our mind towards the inner quiet.  Please leave a review on iTunes if you happen to enjoy this episode, helps me reach more people and spread the practice of meditation. The Last 4 of the 8 Limbs

I am back after a couple weeks break while I moved and got settled into a new location. On this episode I have decided to share some information and explanation on the last 4 limbs of the 8 limbs of yoga. If you have a consistent or even semi-consistent yoga and/or meditation practice, it is likely you have at least heard of the “8 Limbs of Yoga” passed down from Patanjali. These 8 limbs being: the yamas, the niyamas, asana, pranayama, pratyahara, dharana, dhyana & samadhi. Together these 8 limbs constitute the path of Raja Yoga (self-discipline and practice). All of the 8 limbs contribute to and directly affect the ultimate goal of the practice—samadhi—but only the last few directly relate to meditation. Here we are going to go over the last 4 limbs and discuss the importance and concept of each one, as they can be difficult to understand to a certain degree. Repetition Meditation

On last weeks episode I shared an educational intro into Japa Meditation. So this week I thought I should provide what can be called the non-traditional form of Japa, that being Repetition Meditation. This meditation style revolves around repeating a positive word or affirmation that aligns with how you feel or a feeling you are trying to evoke in the moment. Often practiced by repeating this word or phrase as you inhale and then again as you exhale. Using the repetition as a focus point to bring your mind back when it inevitably wanders. To aid with your practice, I have created a FREE Meditation Journal which is available down below if you are looking for a digital resource to assist you. If you would like a physical resource I also have my complete book on the practice of meditation available for purchase on my website (link below). I hope this practice finds you well and thank you for allowing me to share it with you. Namaste.   I just released the most in-depth meditation course for beginner & intermediate practitioners! Present Moment Meditation

Present moment or mindfulness meditation is the style of meditation we explore this week. The focus of this style of meditation is to completely immerse yourself in the present moment and try not to be pulled into the past or the future by the fluctuations of the mind. Notice the sounds around you, feelings in the body, observe thoughts as they arise, do not cast judgement, and just experience true presence. Japa Meditation "Om Namah Shivaya"

Japa meditation is the style of meditation that has captivated my interest and curiosity when it comes to a meditation practice ever since I was introduced to it just over a year ago. This is why I love to share this style and use this podcast platform to introduce you to different mantras that can be used for japa. This mantra translates to prostrations to Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva is the third member of the Hindu Trinity and represents the universal power of destruction in which all existence ends and from which it arises again.   If you live in Hamilton, ON or the surrounding area and are interested in private yoga & meditation sessions, contact me!   Show Notes Here!   Download my FREE Meditation Journals   Subscribe on Youtube   Follow me on Instagram

The Still Lake Meditation

I’ve had the image of lake so still it looks like glass in my mind for a while as a podcast idea and just couldn’t turn it into a fully fledged guided meditation until now. This is definitely an interesting episode and I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I did writing it. The idea behind it is as follows, “When our thoughts are turbulent and have no focused direction, our reflection cannot be seen in the water for the wind is too violent. When we focus our thoughts over and over again in one direction, slowly the wind dies, the water stills and our reflection is staring back at us, a serene image of stillness.”   If you live in Hamilton, ON or the surrounding area and are interested in private yoga & meditation sessions, contact me!   Show Notes Here!   Download my FREE Meditation Journals   Subscribe on Youtube   Follow me on Instagram

This guided meditation teaches you how to harness your breath as the perfect focal point for relaxation.   If you live in Hamilton, ON or the surrounding area and are interested in private yoga & meditation sessions, contact me!   Show Notes Here!   Download my FREE Meditation Journals   Subscribe on Youtube   Follow me on Instagram

Igniting Your Spark by Rachel Bednarski

This week I have for you my first guest episode! My friend Rachel was kind enough to create a beautiful meditation for everyone called “Igniting Your Spark”. It is an incredible journey inward to find and amplify that which is already within you. I really hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I did editing it. Much love.   When she’s not guiding meditations or meditating herself, Rachel is a ghostwriter and copyeditor for small businesses in wellness. She’s also a coach, yoga teacher and energy healer.   You can work 1 on 1 with Rachel through online women’s and mums’ Empowerment Coaching, private meditation coaching, and distance Reiki healings or join her to elevate your spiritual practice on one of her monthly 30 Day High Vibration Challenges.   Find out more at rachelbednarski.com and connect with her on Instagram at @rachelbednarski_

The Deep Forest Meditation

Returning to guided imagery this week, which happen to be the most popular episodes. This time it’s a journey deep into the forest. A space I truly love to go and I hope the chosen words for this guided meditation allow you to visit a place of equal beauty. This practice includes a tense and release portion for max relaxation as well as an epic background music combination I spent a little extra time on crafting.   If you live in Hamilton, ON or the surrounding area and are interested in private yoga & meditation sessions, contact me!   Show Notes Here!   Download my FREE Meditation Journals   Subscribe on Youtube   Follow me on Instagram

Loving Kindness Meditation

This weeks episode is a Loving Kindness or Metta meditation. This is a popular style of meditation that involves radiating loving kindness to yourself and extending that eventually to all beings through a gradual process. Its worth noting that this is only a short 16 minute meditation and that the practice of Loving Kindness meditation can be a very involved one that takes a lot of returning to to fully grasp. If you find yourself interested in this style specifically I recommend looking into it!   Download my FREE Meditation Journals   Subscribe on Youtube   Follow me on Instagram

Daily Japa Meditation

This week is a meditation that can be used for the daily practice of japa (or whenever you choose). Aimed at allowing enough time to complete 2 to 3 rounds of your chosen or given mantra. A Sound Meditation

This week is on the simpler end but easily one of my favourite ways to meditate and that is with sound as the focus. The power of sound can be tremendous. The feelings sound can elicit are of rare equal in strength. Sound is the seed of all matter and the intent in this meditation is to shift our focus to the sound we hear, let it flow through us and encapsulate us in the present.   Download my FREE Meditation Journals   Subscribe on Youtube   Follow me on Instagram

The Walking Meditation

This weeks a little different with a walking meditation. Probably not something a lot of people have had experience with before. Walking meditation has shown me that just paying more attention to such a simple task can be a powerful tool to bring yourself out of stress and anxiety. It also shows that meditation doesn’t just have to be a stationary practice, principles of meditation can be applied to so many different activities than you would expect.   Download my FREE Meditation Journals   Subscribe on Youtube   Follow me on Instagram

The Love Meditation

A meditation born out of need to spread what we all need to embody right now. To quote Martin Luther King ,”Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into a friend.” That same force Dr. King speaks about is found within you and all human beings, whether some choose to find it is a different matter but you have the choice to reach for it. You have the choice to embody love and compassion for yourself and all humanity.   Download my FREE Meditation Journals   Subscribe on Youtube   Follow me on Instagram

Mantra Meditation "So'ham"

In this weeks episode we are working with the mantra “So’ham”. So’ham is translated as “I am everything” or “I am that” and in yogic philosophy it means identifying oneself with the universe or ultimate reality. It’s a universal and natural mantra because it is present within everybody as the breath, with the sound of "so" during inhalation and "ham" during exhalation. As such, So'ham is a mantra that is chanted just by concentrating on the breath because the breath chants it naturally.   Download my FREE Meditation Journals   Subscribe on Youtube   Follow me on Instagram

The Blooming Tree Meditation

This weeks episode is called “The Blooming Tree Meditation”. I love writing these guided imagery journeys and this is another concept I imagined recently. It came about when considering our connection with nature and how our life is supported by it and vice versa. I hope this connects with you as it did me.   Download my FREE Meditation Journals   Subscribe on Youtube   Follow me on Instagram

Anxiety Relief Meditation

This weeks episode is a meditation for anxiety relief. We have a readily available and powerful tool to relieve feelings of anxiety. That tool being the breath. Specifically conscious control of the breath. A lot of what causes our anxiety is worry or uncertainty about what’s ahead. This is why a meditation practice is of such importance. It’s a step into presence every time you sit down to practice. It’s a step toward peace, every moment you spend within.   Download my FREE Meditation Journals   Subscribe on Youtube   Follow me on Instagram

Ocean Waves Meditation

This weeks meditation is a nature inspired journey through breath and the ocean. I find it very beautiful harmonizing our most natural function, breathing, with phenomenon in nature. It's calming to find ways in which you can attach yourself to these phenomenon even though they may not be accessible to you right now.   Download my FREE Meditation Journals   Subscribe on Youtube   Follow me on Instagram

Japa Meditation "AUM"

Today we are working with the mantra “AUM” for a japa style meditation practice. AUM is a combination of three primal sounds that are said to contain all of creation. A, the sound of Vishnu the preserver, U, the sound of Brahma the creator and M, the sound of Shiva the destroyer. Quoting my Becoming Balance training, "The yogis tell us that creation is a complex reverberation of energy. This energy, oscillating in different ways, is why we are able to experience so much variation within creation. An intelligent amalgamation of sound is the true nature of existence; and the root sound for this intelligent amalgamation. Is the sound AUM."   Download my FREE Meditation Journals   Subscribe on Youtube   Follow me on Instagram

The Balance Meditation

This meditation is all about finding balance. What it means to find balance and tools we can use to get there. The practice of meditation is one of your greatest tools to stay balanced in life. We are often so busy and focused on things outside the body & mind that we don't spend enough time looking inward. Spend more time looking inward, find that balance. This practice closes with the practice of Anuloma Viloma, or alternate nostril breathing to find balance between the right & left, sun & moon, "ha" & "tha" energies.   Download my FREE Meditation Journals   Subscribe on Youtube   Follow me on Instagram

Falling Leaf Meditation

Todays episode is something a little different. I call it the falling leaf meditation. A Calming Meditation

This episode is a meditation to calm the body and mind. The main focus being to immerse yourself in full yogic breathing or a 3 part breath. This will stimulate a parasympathetic recovery state in the body and induce a calm feeling. Considering the situation around the world right now and all of the fear and uncertainty, I thought this would be the perfect topic for this weeks meditation.
