Welcome to Gospel4You International - a now short  Gospel foreign language segment allows us to consider a scripture and relate it to the Good News of Salvation made possible through Christ Jesus Son of God. Our Scripture is taken from  Micah 6:8  He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.     And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy     and to walk humbly[a] with your God We are mortals.  We are imperfect.  We can make many promises but if you are anything like me, you’ll find it very difficult if not impossible to keep these over time. As I’ve come to know God, more I realise I can do nothing.  I realise that when I commit my day and actions  to God asking Him to help me live my life and keep my promises, I realise I can walk humbly with God.  I realise I can act justly and give mercy especially when I am at my wits end of patience. How do we get right with God?  Accept Christ Jesus Son of God as our Lord and Saviour. Here is a prayer that places entire reliance on God. Dear Lord, Please forgive me for the way I have lived my life. My thoughts… Wrong attitudes.. My behaviour… My words, both written and spoken by which I have hurt others. My broken promises and the ways I have let others down.. Please help me to turn from all that is wrong in my life. Please now come into my life by your Spirit to be my Lord and Saviour forever Help me to be the person  you want me to be Amen.

This scripture is simply saying that your faith in action is Jesus in action in our life, because the source and owner of faith is Christ. Faith is the fruit of the Spirit. To experience this fruit we have to abide in Christ Jesus (the true vine). This audio formed part of a live broadcast from Blacketyside Farm.     During a technical interlude before the start of the service, Rob caught up with Dr Somerville and got the low down on how God had tested him during his ministry which has taken him to many areas of Scotland and to the world. The evening is introduced by Robert Todd who also prayed for those in War torn areas including Ukraine, Israel and Palestine. Dr Somerville's message was about signs off the times and the urgency of the Gospel.

Spiritual Convictions – The investigative case for Christ “So, I launched an all-out investigation into the facts surrounding the case for Christianity” (Strobel L 16). The Case for Christ! Lee Strobel author of “Case for Christ” is an investigative journalist with a legal editing background. Lee’s sole purpose for investigating Christ’s existence was motivated to prove to his born-again wife that her belief is false. Lee becomes overwhelmed by his wife’s born again transformative lifestyle, her conversion and new way of life as a Christian concerned him, even though her personality etc was much better, his generalisation was his wife will soon have an appearance, dressing and lifestyle that is boring as associated to Christians, and this might cause him to lose attraction for her and they will no longer have a fun filled life. As an atheist, Lee notices changes in his wife’s conduct and nature and it concerned him, how can God who does not exist transform his wife. In a quest to find out the real source of his wife’s transformation He uses his investigative experience to track down the evidence for Christ. Lee interviews the best Scholars to confirm evidence of the existence of Christ. Using his legal affairs journalistic experience investigates circumstantial evidence, archaeological evidence, scientific evidence, rebuttal evidence to name a few investigative methods Lees applied to verify the case for Christ, he used evidence that one would apply in courtrooms. Leslie(wife) Stroebel’s post conversion transformed life described by Lee: I had married the one Leslie, the carefree Leslie, the risk taking Leslie - and now I feared she was going to turn into some sort of sexually repressed prude who would trade our upwardly mobile lifestyle for all-night prayer vigils and volunteer in grimy soup kitchens...Instead I was pleasantly surprised, even fascinated – by the fundamental changes in her character, her integrity, and her personal confidence (Stroebel L 16).

Leadership is a privilege given by the followers Leaders inspire by expressing their inner passion, which resonates with others and causes them to join in pursuing the leaders vision The source of inspiration in a leader is “passion” True leadership passion is discovery of belief, reason, idea, conviction, a cause not to just live for, but to die for, which focuses on benefiting mankind as a whole Passion comes from purpose Leaders are often ordinary people who accept or are placed under extraordinary circumstances that bring forth their latent potential, producing a character that inspires confidence and trust within others. WOAC On Air Episode 69 WOAC Inspiration is brought to your by our Air Crew Erika, Murdel Shinaaz and Angelina Music Inspiration by Samantha Pitso Topic: Women you have Purpose The Life of Maria Woodworth-Etter (A woman who lived life on purpose) Ephesians 2.10 “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before time ordained that we would walk in them.” So many people lose their vision because of challenges. Maria born in 1844 in Ohio, America. She was 1 of eight children born of Samuel and Mathilda Underwood. Maria was 5 years old when her parents were saved. Her dad died in 1850 from sun stroke because of farming activities, she was 6 years at the time. Maria’s family lived in poor conditions and the big family needs led her and her sisters to leave home to work, she desired to go to school and be educated but it was not possible. She loved God, couldn’t go to church due to work responsibilities, and resorted to reciting bible verses on in the kitchern from age 8. Maria got baptised in 1857 at the age of 13, and accepted the Lord as her personal saviour at church. When she got baptised in water she said “I asked the Lord to save me fully, trusting myself in His hands, and while going into the water, a light came over me, and I was converted. The people saw the change and said I had fainted.” [Maria-Woodworth -Etter quoted in the Pale Horse and His Rider: are you ready for the other world? Page 19-21]. From age 13 she felt the call of God to evangelise but she kept on resisting the call because women were not permitted to preach. There were cultural and religious barriers that did not allow woman to partake in front line ministry, they had the opportunity in the mission field as they serve in supporting role. Delayed “resistance to the call” a) “...You can’t do a ministry like this, if you’re afraid to take risk and if you’re afraid of what people might think about you.” Maria makes this statement in her later life, and it stems from her own personal failures, of opposing the call of God earlier in her life. [Antje, J. Revivalist Review: Maria Woodworth-Etter]. b) She had “Opposing recurrences.” For 22 years Maria wrestled with the call to work in the ministry through human rationalisation namely: I. She had fears related to gender constraints placed on Christian women in the ministerial activities. Religious culture in those times only allowed woman to provide hospitality support in missionary activities such as sewing, providing quilts and food etc. and women could only preach in the mission fields for her this meant she must travel to Africa or Asia;   II. III. IV. V. I. II. Discouragement by society led Maria to settle for agrarian lifestyle, married to a war veteran who was incapacitated from war activities and had regular battlefields in his mind; Maira had 6 six, of which five passed away progressively one after the other in early childhood. During this tragic time of her life she continued to get visions from God to step out in the work of the ministry, and rejected the call due to logical reasoning (she is a woman and woman don’t have rights to minister unless in mission field); An answered prayer – Mr Woodworth gets saved and starts speaking in tongues, and Maria thought wow, this means she can now get active in the mission field because hubby has found a new found life in Christ. Great disappointment her elation, her husband was discouraged by the challenges of life, and fluctuated with few mountain top experiences and remained for most of his life in the low valley experiences due to the battlefield in the mind, which hindered all desire for the mission field. When Maria finally had the personal courage to step into ministry, her husband and her only surviving daughter Lizzie who was 16 years old at the time dissuaded her from ministry - it led to her seeing her self a “gazing-stock for the people” [Maria Woodworth. Life and experience of Maria Woodworth, 1885, Page 31] She received prophesies from several ministers of God at different times about responding to the call of God. Her responses were “If I were a man I would love to work for Jesus.” One minister’s response to her was that the job was a role no man could fulfil and that she was called to the West to save souls; [Maria Woodworth-Etter. Life and experience of Maria Woodworth, 1885, chapter 4, page 32.] and When her fifth child Willie passed away through sickness, satan used this incident as an excuse to persuade her not to move forward in the work of the ministry. This bereavement almost took her life, but the Lord was more real and near to here in this time than ever before. Almost at point of death herself, she surrendered herself to Jesus and said to him that if He restored her to health she will undertake to accomplish the ministry that He has called her into, but she asked if He would equip her for the role. God gave her a vision of a plank standing between heaven and hell, and she was placed on that plank helping people to move heave ward rather than hell ward. Maria said that the vision left such a burden in her heart and the vision stayed with her, which catapulted her living on purpose. For the first time since her growing up misfortunes, she was hopeful and found a new found peace of being a woman in the place of ministry, and was glad to have found biblical accounts of women who were in ministry such as Deborah, Miriam, Hannah, Huldah, Phoebe, Tryphena, Mary. And in the Prophet Joel she learnt “Your sons and daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: and also upon the servants and hand maids in those days will I out my spirit.” [Joel 2.28-29]. Maria accepted that under the new dispensation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ the Apostles themselves acknowledged that women were to participate in this work of the ministry with the men as the Holy Spirit was no respecter of persons. WOAC will uncover inspiration from Maria’s life. WOAC highlights challenges in her life that our listeners can draw from her life – to indicate that even the most successful legacy makers lived through challenges to get to where they at, and that no problem can take away a God given call..the call will persist till you go to the grave as in you will never be happy till you find your place of purpose in God’s will. The 5 key character traits that made Maria a trail blazer without allowing the oppression and challenges that she faced to weigh her down and give up on the call. She kept on the a) b) c) ministry till age 80 when she went to be with the Lord. She was an itinerant evangelist, and at age 74 called her to open her own church, at 74 years of age. d) WOAC discussed the Holy Spirit being the forefront of Maria’s life since she stepped into her calling – allowing her to break all barriers and face her future with resilience, power, energy and momentum. She accepted and admired at her workplace for her good output, but rejected and abused at home, where she has little children. She is in two different spiritual worlds, pleasing the husband by following his religion, but her heart is still in the God she knew as a little girl. Now more than ever she realises how important God is, but all the abuse and rejection at home causes her to find love in the wrong places. She begins to give up on life and starts having affairs to feed her rejected soul. Deep in these adultery relationships she realises I want to die, my life is too messed up full of shame, disgrace and rejection to ever worth living...she is at the point of suicide, young women what would you say to her... Losing Financial stability and family dignity For the woman who know God, thankful to God for blessing them with a good life, but they lack the faith to trust God completely with their lives. Then a financial challenge hits their home, and the mother finds out that her child has is active in prostitution, what would you tell ...no eating, no sleep, cant move forward? Parental Guidance For the mother who sees her children co-habiting without marriage, knowing it is fornication and the bible states fornicators will not enter the kingdom of God, while the world sees it as acceptable, it is not acceptable according to God’s word – the mother like Job offers prayers daily to God that her child will not go to hell, yet her child knows sex before marriage is a sin. What would we tell this mom, who is fallen emotionally for fear of her child’s eternal life? Experiencing heart ache because her husband is in adultery For the woman who finds out her husband has been cheating on her through pornography and adulterous relationships? She is financially Dependent on her husband and feels there is no way out but to accept his way of living just to have her basic needs met? Broken, rejected, how would we encourage her to raise up again. In this edition of Gospel4You,- ' Giving Freely'.   It's what you have, not what you don't have and what you do with it that counts. Matthew 10:8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.   Jesus had given his disciples himself, his time, instruction and authority and told them to go out and give as freely as they had received.  We are to do the same. The focus was away from how other’s can fill my love tank, but it was more about me working at it between God and me? Is this easy? Do people find learning to love God easy? How do we get this love triangle between God, us and others right? We rise by lifting Others. A topic not everyone wants to respond to, yet largely spoken The race for success has become all about self “Me, myself and I” all women empowerment platforms are saying life and shift, make room for other women to succeed to? The bible teaches us to be humble which requires serving others, do unto others as you would want them to do to you. Give and it shall be given unto you. Sow and you shall reap. These are all biblical principles of lifting others because all these principles are others focused. What are some of the inner female challenges that restraints us from uplifting others. For example food, shelter, clothing , etc are social needs. Why? No food means mal nourishment, sickness and starve to death. No shelter means homeless, this leads to insecurities, poor development environments, physical danger. Clothing – leads to indecency and nakedness and exploitation . Then there’s the psychological and cultural needs, namely peace, love, affection, and if not fulfilled leads to rejection, abandonement, insecurities, and chaos and confusion – there is a battlefield in the mind.

Love is a Heart Matter? 2. God’s description of Love 1 Corinthians 13. 1-13 Is love acts of service? If I speak in the tongues a of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, b but do not have love, I gain nothing. because I have rejected him. For the LORD sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart.” How does the bible describe love? 4Love is patient, love is kind. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. Is love lasting? What does the bible? Is Love 13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. How does love affect humans?   1 John 4.18 God’s love perfect that which concerns us. We are perfectly and wonderfully made by love. God’s love removes fear from our lives. “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. Women of Africa Care Pty Ltd 1 Peter 5.8 states 8 Be [c]sober, be [d]vigilant; [e]because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. This is telling us that satan is seeking those whom he may devour...so whom does he want to devour? Exodus 14.10 -10 And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians marched after them. So they were very afraid, and the children of Israel cried out to the LORD. 11 Then they said to Moses, “Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you so dealt with us, to bring us up out of Egypt? 12 Is this not the word that we told you in Egypt, saying, ‘Let us alone that we may serve the Egyptians’? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than that we should die in the wilderness.” 13 And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation[b] of the LORD, which He will accomplish for you today. This account of the angels and the rod of Moses.. reminds of David who experiencing many death threats and said “Even though I walk through the valley of death your rod and your staff comfort me...” God and His angels are protecting me 30 So the LORD saved[g] Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore. 31 Thus Israel saw the great [h]work which the LORD had done in Egypt; so the people feared the LORD, and believed the LORD and His servant Moses. Why do we need God’s Peace – It SAVES US>>> When we hold peace we have protection. Holding peace is Holding onto God... this is what John 17.12-19 highlights Isaiah 9.6 “And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace” A person’s name gives identity to the person. Here we read Jesus is the prince of PEACE...and it’s says HIS NAME IS CALLED – this means Jesus is PEACE – when you hear the word peace you know You are holding JESUS   John 17.12-19 Jesus Prays for His Disciples 12While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by c that name you gave me. None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled. 13“I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them. 14I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. 15My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. 16They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. John 14.27 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. Where does it come from this Joy that Proverbs speaks about? Nehemiah 8.10 tells us that Do not be grieved for the Joy of the Lord is your strength.” It comes from Jesus. Our Joy comes from the Lord. The Joy of the Lord is our Strength Who is the carrier of joy from heaven to earth? God the HolySpirit - Galatians 5:22 ~ But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness – highlights that Joy comes from Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13 ~ May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. Proverbs 31.25 – “Strength and honor are their clothing, and they can laugh at the days to come. Matthew 2:10 - When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy. Matthew 2:8 - And sending them to Bethlehem, he said: "Go and search carefully for the Child, and when you find Him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship Him."   Psalm 30:5 - For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning. This is how our Amazing God, giving us Joy unspeakable. What a mighty God we serve! Psalm 4:7 ESV - You have put more joy in my heart than they have when their grain and wine abound.
