In the first episode of 2024, Nick and Stu discuss whether the loss of Ali Al-Hamadi and Omar Bugiel for a few weeks is purely full of negatives for the side, or whether there are some silver linings to the clouds. We also look at the games with Colchester and Forest Green; the rearranged date for the trip to Buckinghamshire; and the upcoming FA Cup tie with Ipswich. Kamikaze podcasting.

The podcast returns for the final time in 2023 to review the last few games, including excellent wins over Swindon and Crawley, and a disappointing damp squib of a defeat at home to Sutton. However, Nick doesn't believe the Boxing Day loss will do us any harm in the long run - but the upcoming loss of Ali and possibly Omar to international duty is a concern.

Nick and Stu return to review the win over Ramsgate, the FA Cup Third Round draw, TV's picks for said round, the Premier League's new TV deal, and some of the ills afflicting the match-going fan, including ticket on-sale dates, digital advertising, and fixture rescheduling. Nick and Stu return to discuss the fortunes of the first team, focusing on the great win over Notts County and frustrating defeat at Gillingham. We're back! Sadly with a defeat to discuss, but that's only one of three in our first 15 games, and we sit comfortably 10th in the league on the road to improvement. Another week of AFC Wimbledon NEWS to discuss. Macklin gone, Stewart in, DTB needing to draft another member ... oh yeah, and we have some football to talk about as well. Because, you know, at this football club, it's sometimes nice to talk about, well, football. You know the 'F' in 'AFC Wimbledon' doesn't stand for football, right? It doesn't actually stand for anything. However, the 'F' in 'Milton Keynes FC' absolutely means something - as does the 'C'.

Well that was another interesting week in the world of AFC Wimbledon. However, Nick and Stu have no time for dwelling on certain matters, so we discuss another point away at Newport, some memories of away days of Wimbledon past, the visit of Stockport on Saturday, and Nick's ability to drop in wrestling references of varying relevance.

Nick and Stu revisit a winless week that feels a lot more positive than that description affords it. We come a little late (oo-er) to squeeze any the last moments of the transfer window, so we talk our new signings and departures before focusing on games with Chelsea and Forest Green. There's a bit of ranting about the daft nature of the transfer window, and the money on show in the Prem - most of it on Chelsea's subs bench, apparently. Aaron Sasupermatch Game and a quick Newport preview also included.

Afternoons in Sutton don't get any better - we've all been to Sutton we know they really, really don't - than last Saturday's 3-0 win in the sunshine. Nick and Stu review some key points from the win, before looking ahead to the trip to Chelsea and what songs may or may not be sung. We also preview the Forest Green game and whether Greggs needs to order in extra vegan sausage roll. Fun fact: a vegan sausage is not a sausage.

Nick and Stu talk through the finer points of our start to the season: the 0-0 draw with Grimsby on opening day, and the exciting finale as we beat Coventry 2-1 that has cast a really positive feel across the club. He joins Nick and Stu to discuss his time at both, with stories of Chris Perry, Neal Ardley, John Fashanu, and Stanley Reed. We also revisit his one and only AFCW appearance in 2003: a most memorable debut that featured on the very first 9yrspodcast. Michael also gives his thoughts on the current squad's season so far, and we discuss the draw at Bradford.

We are determined to have fun this season, so a 5-2 reverse at Mansfield on Tuesday was less than ideal. We address it head on and discuss the tactics behind the defeat, as well as the issue of a red card (which the FA has since determined was incorrectly given ... !!!), but then we're back to the fun with talk of Crawley, Sutton, other times we've conceded five, man-bags, and transfers. In the face of a disappointing week, we've tried to lift spirits (until Nick ruins it at the end).

As we enter the final three weeks of the season, Nick and Stu make some educated predictions / wild guesses as to how ourselves and our relegation rivals will get on. It's safe to say, our remaining fixtures don't look as daunting as those facing the others fighting for their League One lives ... 

A simple discussion of a performance against Sunderland that was inverse in quality of that of the referee. We're not in the business of criticising refs, because it lessens the impact of our critique when you get one that actually did perform quite poorly. We also look at our record during the thirds of the season, as we approach the final one, and compare our progress to where we were this time last campaign.

Yeah two defeats in a week makes it hard to be upbeat. We tried, but ... meh. Sucks the life out of you, doesn't it? Well, it does if you attended either of last week's defeats. It seems many decided against doing so, and did those people miss anything?! Still, good news about the Chocolate Oranges.

A draw with Wycombe to discuss in amongst musings on the world around us, and why, once again, life was better 25 years ago. We really were shooting the breeze this week.

SNL returned on a Monday due to a rather long meal on the Sunday resulted in Stu losing the will to live. Stu along with George Jones & Rob Boyce discuss the ladies progression to the 3rd round of the Vitality’s Women’s FA Cup with a 1-0 win at previously unbeaten Hashtag United this season. They also discuss the 2-2 draw with Fleetwood Town and looking ahead to Cheltenham Town this Saturday in the FA Cup and a chance to progress to the 3rd round for the 5th time in the last 10 years.

We were joined by Luke McCormick & Paul Kalambayi on Sunday night. Paul spoke about old school Wimbledon with Robbo using the Richmond Park Challenge, although Luke was amazed to find out that the acadamy used to run the course instead on cycling it. Luke discussed his passion for Love Island, his enjoyment of scoring the winner at Doncaster and Paul mentions that he regularly does one on one defending against Ayoub.
