Spartanburg, South Carolina is known as "Hub City" because of its rich history as a major railroad hub. Spartanburg has a deep history in textiles and presently hosts major chemical and automobile industries. This stream is hosted by the Hub City Railroad Museum which is housed, along with Amtrak, in the Spartanburg Depot.
