A Quick Catch Up

It's been a while since we've caught up hasn't it. I mean I know you hear a bit about our lives, episode to episode, but there's lots that doesn't get through, and not all of you have listened since we started the podcast. And we started the podcast a bloody long time ago now. Thinking how different our lives are is  a bit mad to be honest. As our lives are growing and morphing, we thought the podcast probably needed to too. Logically. So that's what this is. A quick catch up, and the low down.

Lockdown Log 5: Time is a Social Construct That Doesn't Exist Outside of Human Society

Time isn't real. Ask a horse what a month is. He doesn't know, it's an arbitrary measure of how many times the earth has turned around from the sun which was basically dreamt up half by the Greeks half by the Romans. Minutes and hours do not exist they're just a way humans have of making sure someone is where you expect them to be when you expect them to be. Dates do not really exist they're just a measure of how far we've got around the sun and they're not even that accurate because we have to add in a day every four years AND the earth's orbit around the sun is constantly changing ever so slightly in shape and length so eventually we're going to be even further out, because time is a social construct which has no real meaning in the world around us it simply exists in human society as an arbitrary way of dividing up our circadian rhythms and controlling society as a whole for global trade and transport. Thank you for coming to my TED talk

Lockdown Log 3 - Insanity: It Really Do Be Like That Sometimes

We are joined by two Canadian Great Britain Ultimate Frisbee players (don't @ me, that sentence makes sense, they're from Canada they play for Great Britain) to really drive home our descent into madness. Any questions on Ultimate Frisbee send them to theponypod@gmail.com and they will be forwarded on. Any questions on regular frisbee should be kept to yourself.

Ponies, Directioners and Making it Work with Yazmin Pinchen

For someone who you would imagine would be quite aware of her privacy having one owner with a notoriously passionate fan base, Yazmin Pinchen was very easy to persuade into letting two strange girls into her kitchen to record this episode.... This episode was recorded before we took the decision to isolate which was a week before lockdown - rest assured we are no longer entering people's houses with or without whatever germs we might bring with us. Keep safe everyone and please keep isolating, you really are protecting everyone when you choose to stay at home!

Lockdown Log 1 - hunkering down for the long haul

Our first lockdown log! We wanted to make sure any of you who were looking for a bit more company or even finding ideas for how to pass the time had somewhere to go to have your two Podcast Pals chatting away to you for half an hour. We'll be trying to produce 2 episodes a week for you all for this reason and to keep ourselves sane too! Shoot us any suggestions for passtimes and keep an eye on the blog for more ideas for isolation games!
