Reading the passage in Qur'an (6:73-80) one is perplexed by Abraham's taking the star, moon and sun as his lords successively, before realizing the True and Ultimate Creator. Isn't he the patriarch of the 3 great monotheistic religions? Some see in the narrative, Abraham's discourse with the idolaters against any form of idolatry. But, for the spiritual seekers, this story carries with it deeper implications of the Spiritual path and stations of Divine contemplation.
