100th Episode Celebrity-Cellulite Spectacular!
It came to our attention recently ( about 10 mins. ago) that we’ve passed the 100th episode milestone. Two weeks ago. On April 29th. No giant cakes or motorcade, I’m afraid. This number is based on the available archived shows, and doesn’t take into account the infancy days at ACRN in Athens, Ohio. In any case, we’d […]

Nodding Through 2005
This was my last show of the year, so I decided to play a bunch of my favorite Beat Oracle tracks released in 2005. I have to say, I love the hell out of these songs. Noah played a short set after I finished--but never fear, he'll be rocking solo next week while I'm away. Hopefully Ascona will send us the new theme mix for our return in 2006!
This year saw mainstream adoption of podcasting, and we appreciate all the feedback and support we receive. Check out the other podcasts linked in the right column--send us recommendations of stuff we haven't heard. Community broadcasting, internet sharing and podcasting is vital to keeping independent music heard. Let's hope 2006 sees those in power begin to join this revolution rather than fight it (ha). Get involved with community media! It is both fun and critical to democracy's survival. Seriously.
