SP32 - Giles Campbell Longley | From Motus to Storror (with Drew, Toby & Callum)
Giles has been involved in parkour since 2003 and, considering he has never been the most recognised for his abilities as a practitioner, he’s an individual who has left arguably one of the biggest marks on our culture and industry. His brand, The Motus Projects has been one of the few who have led the way, but in January, Giles decided it best to put Motus to bed due to struggles to see any viable way to keep the company going and support himself and his athletes under the brand. But, the good news is, Giles’s expertise and experience in our industry will be put to great use as he has been hired by us at Storror to help strengthen much of what goes on behind the scenes of the company.

SP27 - FIG Debate | Damien Puddle, Parkour Earth CEO & Nicolas Fischer, FIG Parkour head judge
A little backstory: Since February 24th, 2017, Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (aka FIG) have been engaging in a hostile takeover of parkour’s sovereignty, with the intention of offering our sport to the International Olympic Committee as a new gymnastics event. In doing so, they also make a claim to being our international governing body, which in essence, imbues them with power to govern our sport however suits them. Despite a large kickback from the parkour community and several open letters from national governing bodies around the world, concerns fell upon deaf ears. There have been many international and national competitions held by FIG since 2017 (which initially offered money merely for attending competitions), and although early on, you’d have been viewed as “public enemy number 1”, now more and more cowing to FIG for the chance of winning the highest prize money we’ve seen in our sport’s history.
Parkour Earth is a federation that spawned shortly after FIG’s initial announcements in 2017 in an effort to safeguard the sport’s autonomy against FIG’s unlawful encroachment. Parkour Earth is comprised of several existing national governing bodies and seeks to represent the parkour community through a sound democratic process. But they certainly face an uphill battle waging war with FIG, which is an established, over one-hundred-year-old federation with deep pockets and deep ties to the International Olympic Committee.
The whole situation has become somewhat polarising. The global parkour community seems either vociferously against FIG and its governance along with its poorly representative competitions, for FIG on the basis of believing their resources can be of great use to our professionals and boost funding and participation in our sport, or entirely indifferent – those who don’t care because it doesn’t affect how they train in the street. This includes those who don’t know or care about the risks who are engaging with FIG by attending their competitions for a chance to win some prize money.
Arguing for FIG, we have their head judge, Nicolas Fischer. Arguing against FIG, we have Parkour Earth CEO, Damien Puddle.
Hopefully, this informal discussion helps bring some clarity to the community and allows people to make more informed decisions.

In this episode, Callum talks with Marcio Filipe from Porto, Portugal. He is someone who is at the very forefront of pushing freakishly large but pristinely controlled precision jumps. In this episode, we're fortunate to be joined by the Belgian movement mastermind, Nico Vanhole, and a special surprise guest, Magdalena Sieczkarek. Both Nico and Magdalena are old friends of Storror and, over the years, have shared many adventures and sketchy moments, including infiltrating and climbing one of the chimneys of London's Battersea power station, near-death experiences at Grand Canyon, travelling and sleeping rough for a month around the US, and sleeping on the Powell's collapsed, dirty and flea-riddled sofa for months at a time back in the day. Nico is a TV presenter, a parkour gym owner and one of the most technical and creative visionaries our sport has ever known.

SP14 - Siebe van de Spijker & Travis Verkaik (with Toby & Callum)
Siebe van de Spijker and Travis Verkaik sit down with Toby and Callum for a meandering mish-mash of a chat. Siebe is a 19-year-old Dutch lad with horse legs who has only very recently broke out onto everyone's radar. Very exciting things to come from both these two young guns. This one was recorded towards the end of April and is the first of a chonky backlog we've built up for the Storror Podcast. Sorry for a few things that seem out of date.

SP13 - Roundtable with Lynn Jung, Kristine Henry, Lisa Schneider & Kira Nguyen
In this episode, Callum is joined by four of the leading women in parkour. The original plan was to record with Kristine Henry and Kira Nguyen while they were over from Denver, but when Lynn Jung and Lisa Schneider said they were up for hanging out at the side as members of the audience, Callum realised having the four of them in the same room was too rare and cool an opportunity to pass up, so asked if they'd be up for a spontaneous change of plans. So, we bring to you, a very fun episode with four legendary ladies.

SP11 - Max Henry & Brandon Douglass | US Parkour & Grand Goals
Callum is joined by the OG legends from the US, Max Henry and Brandon Douglass. Max is known across the parkour globe for his incredible power and practically unmatched textbook technique and precision. On top of that, he's known to be one of the most knowledgeable parkour nerds our community has to offer. Among many accolades, he has written a book called The Parkour Roadmap, which every self-respecting parkourist should have on their bookshelf, and also started the production company called Point A. Brandon Douglass is an absolute unit and one of the strongest minds in our sport when it comes to overcoming mental challenges. He was a key member of the notorious team, Myrm which has since disbanded. Brandon also hosts the first-ever parkour podcast called Height Drop which at this point is 111 episodes deep.

SP09 - Theo Tanchak & Alexis Léveillé | Biomechanics Debate
In this episode, we have an especially nerdy one for you. This is the Storror podcast’s first-ever debate and it surrounds the YouTube videos of Theo Tanchak, where he uses his knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics to analyse posture, technique and dysfunctions from video clips of well-known parkourists.
Debating Theo is Alexis Léveillé who runs an Instagram account called @nobullshitphysio. As his handle suggests, he busts myths and calls out bullshit within physio, chiro, other esoteric practises and the general fitness world, and presents the current scientific evidence to bolster his claims.

In this episode, Toby and Callum are joined by the 19-year-old parkour prodigy Lord Travis Verkaik. We were also joined by a surprise guest, Phil Doyle, a third of the way through. We chatted about the 2021 Storror Awards, his anger issues, Capstone England Project, a mysterious phone call with Daniel Ilabaca, The Motus Projects, Brighton or Bristol, being called the “kong gainer guy”, and parkour as a profession. And, of course, the question that’s been on everyone’s minds: Who out of Toby and Travis has the biggest kong?

SP07 - Flynn Disney | Parkour for self-exploration
We have another really nerdy one for you today. In this episode, Callum was welcomed aboard a modest little sea-faring vessel to chat to an old friend, Flynn Disney. Flynn is an old school face in the London scene and a few of us at Storror have been friends with him even before Storror began.
Flynn has quite the brain. He’s likely one of the deepest thinkers of the parkour world, so naturally, this one spilt over the 3-hour mark. This one goes pretty in-depth on areas surrounding the mental aspects of parkour and how we can use parkour as a tool for self-exploration and self-development. We speak about anger, self-image, intuition, the unconscious mind, depression, openness and sensitivity, and how all these things relate and can be explored harnessing the experience of parkour.

In this first episode over zoom, Callum speaks with Andreas Lorentzen, an OG parkourist from Copenhagen who has been deeply steeped in the physio world. You’ll hear us talk about some principles that you can apply to your own rehab, how you can make sure you find the right physio therapist and a few honest criticisms of some people on social media, for example: Theo Tanchak (the parkour posture analysis guy from YouTube), Knees over toes guy and GOATA.

SP03 - Phil Doyle | Capstone, heights & career (with Toby & Callum)
In this episode, Toby and Callum have a chat with Phil Doyle. Phil has been an iconic figure in the international parkour community since 2007. Most notably, between 2007 to 2011, Phil's influence helped shape parkour as we know it today – particularly by paving the way with technical proficiency and overall spotless control and confidence with big jumps. Sacha, Callum, Toby and Josh were regular training partners with Phil before Storror started. Phil is one of three minds behind the brand, Capstone, who have recently made some big culture heavy waves in the parkour world.

SP01 - Storror Parkour Awards Decisions (with all of Storror)
In this first episode, you'll hear all seven of us work out a few of the undecided winners for the third annual Storror Parkour Awards. If you watch our YouTube (which you probs do if you're here) you'll have seen the video already and know who won which awards, but the idea behind recording this was to give a little more insight into why we chose who we did. And maybe more insight into the chaotic decision making that goes into the awards.
