Thor Nis Christiansen was an American serial killer who murdered at least four people between 1976 and 1979 in California. His method was to shoot his victims dead so he could then have sex with their dead bodies. At the time, the case created huge outrage and on his sentence to life imprisonment he feared for his life. The threats were in fact real and after only a few months in Folsom State Prison he was stabbed to death in the exercise yard in March 1981.
