Our first World Tour outing for 2024 has arrived, and casts a spotlight on Markus Schulz's special relationship with the annual Groove Cruise; as it celebrates its 20th anniversary. Setting sail from Miami every January, the cruise sees an extensive roster of DJs in the company of thousands across a five day stretch. To mark the 20th anniversary, Markus played no less than four sets for the celebrations, including a special five hour open to close presentation on the main deck on Saturday night. From a quiet corner aboard the Groove Cruise before setting sail from Miami, Markus Schulz checks in with the latest Global DJ Broadcast. Hello again, with our now traditional year-end holiday gift. Since an early age, one of the biggest loves and passions in my life has been the radio. In particular, I was so moved by the period between Christmas and New Year, when suddenly what day of the week it is didn't feel important, and this was reflected with all the stations playing classic songs.   My goal was to take this inspiration towards my own radio show, and the Classics Showcase has grown to become one of the most emotionally resonating and powerful episodes for fans each year, whether current, long-standing or lapsed. A time to reflect on those we have lost also, and we think of Evol Waves and Stevie B-Zet (who produced as Vernon among many other names) no longer with us; it was only appropriate to pay tribute to their departures too.   Hope you enjoy the journey, and it's something you will want to download and keep in your collection for some time to come. Beginning summer with the emotional journey of the Sunrise Set, the midpoint is traditionally highlighted by our annual Coldharbour Day celebrations. It's a small way for our Coldharbour family to say thanks to everyone who supports the label, and those responsible for creating the tracks we cherish.    This tradition is another passion project for me, with a four hour journey made especially for the occasion. The second outing of The Rabbit Hole Circus Tour emanates live from Musica in New York City this Saturday night, and on Global DJ Broadcast this week, Markus Schulz showcases the singers who will be joining him for live performances on the night - HALIENE, Adina Butar and Pretty Poison. A trip to Helsinki awaits Markus Schulz for the annual Summer Sounds Festival this weekend, Markus Schulz checks in from his travels with another summer edition of Global DJ Broadcast. Markus Schulz had just about enough time to get home to Miami from Europe to celebrate Valentine's Day, before departing again for a President's Day tripleheader on the road. But while he was at home, he put together another studio edition of Global DJ Broadcast; containing a Coldharbour debut from Austin Pettit, along with new music from Tiesto, Luke Chable & Ivan Dough, Anyma & Chris Avantgarde, and the first track from Estiva's upcoming album. After his series of collector themed editions for the holidays, Markus Schulz checks in live from San Francisco for the first regular studio Global DJ Broadcast of the year. Hello again, with the final of your holiday gifts. Since an early age, one of the biggest loves and passions in my life has been the radio. In particular, I was so moved by the period between Christmas and New Year, when suddenly what day of the week it is didn't feel important, and this was reflected with all the stations playing classic songs.   My goal was to take this inspiration towards my own radio show, and the Classics Showcase has grown to become one of the most emotionally resonating and powerful episodes for fans each year, whether current, long-standing or lapsed. A time to reflect on those we have lost also, and we think of the Faithless family with Maxi Jazz no longer with us; it was only appropriate to pay tribute to his memory too.   Hope you enjoy the journey, and it's something you will want to download and keep in your collection for some time to come. For the first time in three years, Markus Schulz was privileged to re-establish his special affinity towards the annual Amsterdam Dance Event through his anticipated open to close solo set experience at Melkweg - an event with a sold out attendance for a sixth successive outing.
