Hi! While we’ve been on hiatus, Mae decided to go back to her older Maed in India episodes, particularly the ones where bands have either disbanded, or are on an indefinite hiatus. It got her thinking – “Where Did They Go?” And so, to ease back in from our hiatus, we’re showcasing Maed in India episodes from way back when that featured bands that are basically nonexistent. To kick things off, we have the 4-piece alternative pop rock band Calico, when they made their Maed in India debut on Episode 142 of the show in November 2018. A cryptic email in the Maed in India inbox has now manifested itself into a Maed in India studio session. We’ve come to the end of our nostalgia-fueled expedition into Maed in India’s archives, and for a fitting finale we have none other than rapper Taran Kaur Dillon… aka Hard Kaur! A pioneer in the hip hop scene and one of the few women rapping in a male-dominated industry, she featured on Episode 74 in November 2016.
